Smeraldo Dumenza Reviews
Excellent fresh pasta with truffle
What a little gem , family run super friendly professional, my wife found this place and as we were driving up the mountain road I though well there won't be many people but to my surprise the place was full of life. Amazing food and good selection of wines. Highly recommend.
The food is really home-made and delicious. We tried a tongue with vegetables (unusual and tasty) and beef with mushrooms. The dessert is so soft and gorgeous)) The chef is very attentive. Don't miss this place if you are near the lake Maggiore, Italy!
Incredible food experience and authentic atmosphere.
Excellent restaurant in a quiet small hamlet. Best risotto porcini ever!!
Excellent location for İtalyan food served by the grand mother daughter and grand son. We loved every single dish and the owners
Run by the same family since long time, the restaurant is a tradition in the valley to taste local food. Try the risotto (some say the recipe comes from the famous Italian actor Ugo Tognazzi) and the fried perch. Big portions and very honest prices.
Very good food
nice restaurant, large menue, good wines good food
Found this restaurant after a local referral. The food was very good, where especially the steak was perfectly cooked. 4 stars because the service could have been a little better, especially considering there were only 2 other tables with guests. For instance the wine was forgotten and the lady serving spoke very quietly. But we will be back next time when in the area, and looking forward to make it a 5 star review!
Delicious food, with a variety of pasta and a focus on meat. There are also a few fish dishes. There is a good selection of starters/antipasti. Nice pasta dishes, especially the risotto. It is recommended for summer when outside seating is available, but do not expect grand views. It is located in the small village of Runo. Good service. A mixture of Italian, Swiss, and German people.
The place looks modest from outside but dining in outdoor area in summer is a wonderful moment. The food is more to fine dining, excellent food, elegant décor, and superior service. In the winter time, dining inside is little bit tricky with the noisy level. When there is a group, it was noisy enough to detract from your dining experience because of the open space it make sounds bounce and echo, so the sounds seem even louder. The menu is varied and it includes many different dishes, so prices vary accordingly.
Simple place with good food.
A rare gem hidden in the mountains behind Luino...family run with authentic cooking and a varying seasonal menu. Also offers weekday lunch special, we had pasta with ragu, roast beef and a Swiss burger,.+ wine water coffee and sambuca for €27. Most of the staff is friendly, especially Daniela.
Nice place, very local and quaint. Good traditional northern Italian cuisine. Homemade pasta and polenta are great. Prices adequate. Modern twist on local dishes also available and well executed. Can get busy on weekends. Family owned and run for years.
Very nice Insider. Good traditional italian food. Not expensive.
We were in this restaurant for the first time. The service was very unfriendly from the beginning. Very sad for a restaurant where the food was excellent.
