Wasn't real sure about this because it didn't look authentic but who am I to say. A white girl married to a Hispanic man that says it's very much authentic. Tried carne asada and I am hooked!!! That meat was the freaking best ever!!!

I had carne guisada tacos. I was impressed. For a small place in the middle of nowhere. They had a very good taste and good and tender. The flour tortillas had to be made by someone who's been making them for a long time. Almost as good as my wella. I drive a truck so most of the time I'm rolling the dice . Glad to find another place that was not disappointing. Another taco spot for me for sure.

The service was great and so was the food!! The manager went out of his way to bring fresh tortillas as soon as they were ready! Would definitely recommend stopping by!

The food was delicious. My wife and I had Huevos Rancheros. The refried beans were just like my grandma use to to make them. Lots of food served on the plate. The service was excellent, along with the atmosphere. People were polite and gave friendly greetings. A VERY NICE LADY THANKED ME FOR MY MILITARY SERVICE AND PAID FOR OUR MEAL. HOPEFULLY WE RUN INTO HER AGAIN SO THAT WE CAN PROPERLY THANK HER AND RETURN THE FAVOR. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TACO TONY'S FOR A PLACE TO EAT TOO EVERYONE.

Ate the number 1 plate. Beef enchiladas, rice and beans, crispy tacos. It was pretty good so I would recommend it to others. Waitress was friendly. Prices were unexpectedly reasonable. I'll go back next time I'm in the area.

We are new to this small rural town and wanted to try something different. There isn’t much in the way of choices so we gave this place a try. My thoughts at first were “oh no, what did we get into…” but I was WAY wrong. I had the Chicken Enchiladas Verdes and my wife had the chicken fajitas; both with Charro beans. We’ve both had these dishes at other establishments so we were able to get a good comparison. The chicken in the enchiladas was cooked well and was shredded evenly. Meaning that there were no large clumps of un-shredded chicken. It wasn’t dry and it had a good flavor. My wife said the chicken in her meal had a flavor that reminded her of a restaurant we ate at on our trip to Mexico. They only gave her 2 tortillas but she was able to get more without trouble. The Charro beans were full of flavor. They had a little bit of spice but not enough heat to overpower the flavor. The look and feel is typical of a small town older establishment but the tables and silverware are clean and the food is good. There must be a reason they have been in business for over 45 years! They DO get VERY busy during peak times and the service can get a bit overpowered. However, this is typical of ANY restaurant so I would not advice going during peak times. I would definitely give them a try again and recommend them as a place to eat.

This is a rural area and I am a local. This restaurant has been here for years. I wasn't impressed when I first ate here. (20 years ago) However, over the years, it has improved quite a bit. It is simple tex-mex dining with a small cafe feel. The prices have gone up over the last few years, but it's not too pricey. Food is pretty good.

Staff and service earned the 3 stars because the food was sub par. I got steak nachos hubby got tacos el pastor. I specifically said dont put chips with items i had a drive back and didn't want soggy chips. Although I got extra chips and plenty of them all I have now is extra chips because there was maybe 6 pieces of steak covered in Shredded cheese melted hard with pickled jalapenos over soggy chips, My abuela is rolling over in her grave At no fresh jalapenos. And tacos elpastor where nothing special he was for sure disappointed. This is our second and final visit.

Good chips, decent salsa roja. Breakfast is good but dinner relies too heavily on iceberg lettuce and American cheese. Use of cotija cheese or even cheddar would be a big improvement

The food on the buffet was o.k. , but a bit dry. It needed some additional sauce especially the frahita me meats. Good value for a buffet.

For a small town restaurant it was good. The food took forever to come out and the portion wasn't big and the service was just good enough to get you seated and take your order...but it's one of the few places to go to, I'd probably go again.

Food is always great. The waitress could use an attitude adjustment. Second time she has waited on my husband and me. She pays attention to my husband and totally ignores me. Gets all bent out of shape just because I ask for a refill. Last time slams my glass down on the table. It isn't always the guy who leaves the tip. Was going to leave a very good tip, not now after that display of attitude and completely ignoring me like I wasn't even there. This is during breakfast time both times.

We found "tacos tony" when driving through. Not a bad little place but I'd just call it "Tonys". For a place called Tacos ..there were maybe 2 taco options. The salsa was very Pace store bought and the not picante type 🤭. We had micheladas those weren't bad. Would I recommend it? Eh! If you're really hungry and couldn't make it another 5min or more then sure I guess but wouldn't be my first choice.

Ordered sausage and egg breakfast tacos. Sausage seemed to be a cured pork sausage (like bacon tasting) rather than a spicy sausage taste. It was still nice and a great value but not what I expected. I would still recommend.

Just ok. Food ok. Service ok. Not the worst place to go. My in-law's like it, and there is not much around them, so I will probably return with them. Definitely not someplace I would frequent even if I lived closer, but it's not so bad I'd never go back. It's ok. Lol

The white girl that work there was an amazing waitress. She had great customer service. But watch out for the other waitress. I left my tip and started to walk away, and they grabbed her tips off the table. That’s the only bad things that I seen. The girl that did it was Gloria. So please taco Tony fix that.

My soda was good but it not real Mexican food need to go to San Antonio an learn how to cook I will never stop by here again as a heads up Mexican don't serve potatoes in carne Quesada tacos

Food was fresh and good but service is too slow. On top of that the waitress only came by our table once and it sucks when you need refills because they are hard to come by. Shame because food is actually good.

For a town with majority Hispanics and a place named after tacos, they can’t make tacos at all. Food cold but plates hot so it was a microwave cooking mostly. Just very lazy tex-mex food. I’m pretty disappointed with everything. Like damn the enchiladas were deflated and the tacos were thrown together with 1/4 inch pieces of tomato. Felt like a big waste of money.

Chicken enchiladas absolutely disgusting tortillas weren’t cooked chicken was overcooked tamales was dry even tho it was smothered in enchilada sauce, charro beans were just a cup of juice, beef taco fell apart and the website says with every to go orders you get chips and salsa but according to the employees it’s extra but the website says otherwise false information..

When our party arrived no one greeted us and then it took the waitress 10min to take our drink order. After we went up to the host stand to ask for menus. Once we finally received our drinks and she took our orders we never saw her again. When our food came out it was all cold and bland. First impression says everything and I would not recommend this place nor will I be back.

It was ok. We were not greeted, we sat at a table to only have one basket of chips and one salsa brought to us when we had two tables. We were not checked on once our food reached our table, she did not come back to see if we needed refills. Also my mother wanted a caldo but was told there was none so she got a menudo and had no flavor and was cold, then a man who came in 30 mins after us was served caldo. and my platter of flautas was cold as well, the flautas hardly had chicken inside them and the beans tasted like refrigerator. The cashier was rude upon hearing our "trivial" inquiries. Never going back.

Never have I been to a worse restaurant. I went to get food for my husband's crew and I go in to sit down no one comes to offer a drink, no chips and salsa, had to ask the cashier for the menu. Absolutely rude. The order was wrong and cold food.

That was the best pre cooked pre packaged and probably left over from last night fajita meat I've ever had. "Sarcasm". To top it off there was hair in my wife's eggs. Not bad for a two horse town I guess

For the very first time since the passing if Mr.TONY on April 23rd 2024 my fiance & I decided to est out @ taco tony the environment was totally different & was not inviting @ all the service was horrible actually had to ask cashier for assistance I know MR.Tony is looking d I wn @ whats going on in his establishment with great disappointment!! My fiance comes all the way from Richmond Texas just to dine @ Taco Tony he met Mr.Tony before he passed away its sad that Rudeness & lack of service keeps good paying customers from dining out @ a restaurant that they have visited over the yrs actually 😕 😢

We only came here because the other Mexican restaurant in town was closed. We placed a to-go order and waited nearly an hour for our food. We got home to find that 1 item was missing from our order, and the rest of the food was absolutely terrible. The chips in our nachos were soggy and cold, the meat on the nachos was cold and dry, and they use American cheese on the nachos. I’ve never been to a restaurant that doesn’t use cheddar or “queso”. One of our meals was a combination meal and was comes with a cheese tostada.... take a look at the “cheese” tostada. The staff was friendly, but the place seemed to be understaffed because you have to wait a long time to place your order, and they just let the phone ring off the hook. Save your money, do not eat here! If I could give zero stars I would.
