Rossi Pizzeria East Elmhurst Reviews
While waiting for a flight at Laguardia I decided to make the decision to enjoy a Chicken 🍗 Caesar salad 🥗 and a Mimosa 🍾with Grapefruit. Everything went well just a little red on the lettuce that could have been left out. Other than that the salad was good I would swap out the chicken next time for the shrimp 🍤 to see which is better. Service was fast. Mimosa was filled and the staff is attentive.
Pizza is shockingly good for airport pizza. A little pricey, but that’s because you’re eating in an airport lol. Don’t come here in a rush because it takes a fair amount of time to make one —I’m assuming it’s freshly made. But if you have time to kill, this is a good place to spend it. Ordering and staff could be much better, but at least pizza was good.
Short: they make the pizzas fresh so it’s going to take 15 minutes to get your pie. The pepperoni and margherita pizzas are good. Long: I had an hour before my flight and this looked like one of the better options in the Delta gate area of LaGuardia terminal C around 6 pm on a Sunday. Family of four was seated in 5 minutes. Table ordering is done online and the website ordering is quick and easy. Pizzas arrived about 15 minutes after ordering and they were fresh out of the oven. For airport pizza, this is probably the best I’ve had in the US. High quality thin crust, good sauce and ingredients. Prices are reasonable for airport fare. The service is impersonal, but at the airport I prefer efficiency.
Great pizza. I got the prosciutto. It was delicious. Pies are made fresh, so expect to wait 10 mins or so. Beers are super expensive but what airport beers aren't? Staff was friendly and helpful.
If you see Rossi ask for Miguelina as the bartender highly recommend. Best drinks with care plus additional shots. She has been the best bartender in any airport. Between Gates 92-98.

To echo what another reviewer said, the pizza is shockingly good for an airport pizza. Possibly the best I've ever had in NYC! I got the mushroom pizza and the flavors were amazing. The crust was also perfect. Not too thin and not burnt.

I did a take out for a Margherita pizza and a cappuccino. Although the store is not smoothly run and the waiting area is small, I don’t think it’s 2-star bad. (There are so many negative reviews, so I was hesitant to check it out.) I liked my pizza- very nice dough and the sauce was delicate, not too salty or tasting like fake herbs. Not a lot of pizza, but I think $18 for a decent food at the airport these days is rare. The cappuccino was surprisingly decent, too. Much better than any of the chain coffees& better than a lot of airport cappuccinos I have had. Not too burned, not too bitter. Quite decent. It does take 15min to get your order, but it’s freshly baked pizza- and if you don’t want to wait, then I think you should eat something else.
Pizza was very good. It does take time which is normal for a pizza. Lady at counter area didn't want me standing around the store area after ordering, so take a walk and come back to get the food.
Has the magherita and grilled asparagus both were excellent Was pleasantly surprised to get this quality in an airport restaurant

The bagel was fine, the chives in the cream cheese taste fresh. The cold brew I got was probably the worst coffee I have had in a while . I couldn’t even finish it .
Weird customer experience. The staff is by registers with iPads. You walk towards the iPads and they ask you to sit and scan the QR code to order at the table. The pizza 🍕 however, is pretty decent and freshly baked.

Paid $20 for an incorrect order, unfortunately. Ordered a margarita and received plain cheese. Pizza itself was good quality. Be prepared for a little wait as this is served as a whole personal pizza, not by the slice.
4.79 for a half a cup of not so good coffee. Go elsewhere. Service was extremely slow even though they weren't busy. Croissant was fine. Host helping with kiosk was friendly and helpful.
I should have checked the Google 2-star rating before ordering. My pizza certainly did not look like the store photos. It was 30% dry crust with no topping. I ordered a margherita and paid extra for cheese, so the worker said it will be a cheese pizza. There was barely any cheese. They said it would be 15 to 20 mins to make and it took nearly 30 mins. I don't foresee eating at this place again.

Extremely expensive for a mini size pizza. Although its fresh in the oven, the price doesn’t justify. The wait time is extremely long. Seats are fixed to the tables for a QR code order on the phone. The servers will not help you on the table. No service, no tip.
Unfortunately, I can’t write a review or rating for the pizza. The hours are a bit misleading. I was hoping to enjoy a pizza for breakfast/ early lunch. Though in the morning they only serve breakfast sandwiches… not using a freshly baked bread/dough but rather what looks like a previously frozen “Thomas bagel” shaped bread. The breakfast sandwich and options do not warrant any further description. The website, Google and other listings should have details on when the pizza oven and menu is available. Hopefully I can try their offerings the next time through the terminal and maybe share a better experience.

I’m nit a fan - even when I’m starving. I ordered at the kiosk, waited 15 minutes for a whole pizza (only wanted a slice). My mistake - but when I got to my gate I realized the pizza wasn’t pepperoni even though my name was clearly written on it and they handed it to me. I didn’t have time to correct it. Ate it anyway - not so good. Tasted like flour and greasy cheese. Never again.

They will not allow you to eat THEIR OWN food at a table, if you used the self service kiosks (when there were many open seats). They say the kiosks are for takout only but this isn't written anywhere. It's literally their own food. Ridiculous.
You pay before you get your order-tip too. A club sandwich for $30-the grilled chicken was like a tough rubber sole-bread soggy, fries too. Everything over salted. So many options here-skip this place. My order came out very quickly-chicken was probably sitting on steam table.
Food was great. The rest of the experience was ridiculous. There were 3 staff members walking around the small waiting area repeatedly asking everyone what they were waiting for. They would even come up while you were ordering to ask you if you were ordering takeout - uh, yeah, that’s why I didn’t sit at a table and instead went to the to-go counter. After I got my pizza, I was disappointed to find it was in a very thin, flimsy cardboard box - what a perfect idea for travelers carrying the box in one hand and a suitcase in the other! I enjoyed scalding the bottom of my hand as I had to place the box flat on my palm in order to make the one-handed trip to my gate. I figured this place just opened and that was why the staff acted so weird and the box was so unfit for purpose. Nope, just bad execution and a clear lack of understanding the customer experience.
Please trust the 1 star reviews. They took my order on their iPad, made me wait 20 minutes - then told me they ran out of ingredients for my pizza. They all huddled behind the counter before that and had a loud discussion that I could overhear, where the chef clearly either missed the order or made the wrong one. So they chose to send one of their staff to come and lie out front. I asked for a refund, they tried that on their machines and it gave them an error. They told me the refund went through anyway, and when I asked for a receipt they said they couldn’t print one because the machine doesn’t print. I asked for an email receipt and that apparently was sent but never showed up. So I’m out of money, never got the pizza either and had to board my flight so I’m also out of dinner because I wasted 20 minutes waiting. On top of it all, they “closed” the take out area by setting up a bunch of chairs out front and asked me to step out while I was waiting for my order, so they could “clean the area” - never actually saw them clean it. I’ve truly never had a worse experience at an airport.
