⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited La Casa de las Empanadas in Orlando and tried their beef empanada. It was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and the pastry was perfectly cooked. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is a haven for anyone who will appreciate a good home cooked Latino meal. There is a huge select from which to choose from. Prices are reasonable even due to today's economy. They do practice social distancing for obvious reasons. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and respectful.

Excellent lunch and so many choices! I had tender, juicy pernil (roast pork), the most tender and delicious chicken gizzards braised in a light flavorful sauce,fried banana and Moro rice. I sat and enjoyed the lunch in their clean dining area while Hispanic music played. Friendly service, clean, and the best lunch for $5 anywhere.

I just moved here over a month ago, after the move in day, I ordered some food from here because I had no energy to cook, and it was so good! I went just the other day as well. Definitely recommend. Their menu is giant, you could go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I will definitely go back to try different menu items, but my go-to is the maduros, pernil, and arroz con gandules. I usually get double meat and get the meduros on the side. Can never go wrong 👌 and on top of that, they pile on the food! You'll have food for a good two days lol. The appetizers are great as well! Go try them out.

Food was good. We had black rice with black beans call morro and pernil (pork). Yellow rice and peas and pepersteak. Slice or aguacate. Juice was good a big passion fruit juice. Few empanadas and desserts.

We love coming here for a quick Empanada and Cafe con leche or a dinner plate. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are very generous. Food is always delicious and fresh. Service is quick if you know where to go. If you're getting a quick empanada and drink go straight to the counter and order. If not just go to where they are serving food to order. Overall a good Spanish restaurant.

This place had the best Empanadas. It was soooo clean and organized. I will definitely come back just for those delicious Empanadas. Ask for a side of the garlic sauce. Soooo good to dip your pastry in.

They had many familiar Dominican foods. The service was good. They were very polite and willing to explain all the options that they had. The food was delicious and it reminded me of my grandma's food.

I am never disappointed with the food or the service. Whenever I am in the Orlando area I make it a point to either go there for a sit down meal or take out for the trip back home. If you like authentic Spanish food you will not be disappointed with the this restaurant. Highly recommend.

I ordered today from this place online. The ordering online is very simple and easy to use. Also everything is self explanatory and you can understand everything. I personally like pictures of food but this is not too important. When its time to pay, it says that you have to send the order first and then pay it. At the moment it was a little weird but when its done is not that hard and it takes you back to the receipt page. First time going to the place and is very easy to search for it and get there. When getting there my food was already ready before time. The food was hot, very good, and I enjoyed it very much. Loved the food. Would go again.

Excellent food and prices are so reasonable! The Cuban is yummy and loaded with the good stuff. We have enjoyed the steak sandwich, the pork sandwich and many empanadas. The meat is so well seasoned and moist the sandwiches don't actually need anything additional. We thank you for the authentic delicious food!!

Great authentic food! Came down from North Carolina really wanting some cuban food because we don't have a lot of it in our area. Well, this place didn't disappoint. Great selection of food. I got tons of stuff and only spent $80, and I mean a lot. I like the places where it's cafeteria style and you can choose your food. I lived in Florida for 26 years and have eaten at high end to a local place like this, and I'll take a place like this all day! Got a cuban and haven't tried it yet, so I will update when I do as that's obviously a staple. I've had better potato salad and tres Leche (too much cinnamon, and some salt goes a long way. Tasted more like riced pudding), but both were still good. Son said it was his top 2 of the meals on our trip, and we in no way were slumming it, so they had good competition. This will be my new go-to when I come to town. Used to go to Havana not far from here. They didn't have much selection, and the only option was to order on the restaurant side, which would have been $80 for 4 basic meals. We got completely stuffed, dessert, Cubans to go, café con Leche, and food to take home for that. Just spent $120 on a mediocre meal at this supposed great restaurant, which IMO was trash. Check this spot out!!!

This place is heaven. They have it all. The Avena is the best I ever taste in my life . There very respectful and nice here. I go there every morning for my Avena so delicious. Good place

I love this place! Empanadillas de pizza are one of my favorite things! They also have sorullitos de maíz (corn fritters) filled with cheese, croquetas de pollo y jamón (ham and chicken croquettes) so so good. They had other items I did not purchase but looked really good. They have Old Colony Uva and Kola Champagne. Things I certainly grew up on and miss on a daily basis since I live on the north coast. 11/10 recommended.

Just ordered with Door dash and this place is amazing. I live 3 hrs away and this is good enough that I would drive down here to eat here again. Keep up the good work guus!

I cannot tell you how amazingly delicious this place is. When you walk into the door the smells are beyond exquisite. You can get breakfast lunch or dinner any time of the day!!! The staff Stremely friendly To everyone. If you don't speak Spanish don't Fret. Mostly everybody is the Establishment is Bilingual. Any of the coffee's are a absolute must!!! They even have a bakery next door Be careful lol And save Room for desert. I only wish they would open up earlier in the morning. They don't open up until 8:00 in the morning but they do stay open till 9 o'clock at night for dinner. The breakfast sandwich on fresh killing bread is an absolute must. All the rice, beans, pork, chicken and many more things are made in house fress daily.

Best Hispanic food I’ve ever had

The food was delicious, however, the lobby appeared rather plain to me. It would be beneficial to add some decorations that would hyphen the atmosphere and appeal to children and families, rather than just focusing on the cashier's area. The staff were friendly and courteous. not only the fresh food is good but the bakery is also something to consider here 😋

Went there with a friend because she recommended it. And it was certainly a fantastic choice. The food was affordable and delicious. The staff (particularly Carlos) were very nice and outgoing. And they have amazing empanadas. Give them a try, and you’ll be happy.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for years now. They recently remodeled the restaurant to accommodate more customers. The food selection, portions, taste, and prices are FAR ABOVE the competition anywhere in a 20 mile radius. Honestly for the price and good food you get they are unbeatable in the area. The staff is also polite helpful, and bilingual! Give them a chance, you won't be disappointed 👍

There are only a few Spanish spots I love to eat from in Orlando. This place is one of them. I have been coming here for years and the food is ALWAYS good. Also, the prices are decent for the amount of food they give you. The staff are friendly and the overall environment is welcoming.

Wanted a place away from the "touristy" part of the city while here on a family trip. This was a recommendation to us, and it did not disappoint. Delicious food for a good price. I don't think I can order an empanada from another restaurant now. Next time we're in Orlando, we're definitely stopping by.

A great local eatery and tasting experience for locals and those visitors that love combing certain areas of the typical city where the food is food and the authentic vibes as well. Good food, Good people and Great Vibrations as well as the connections for other miscellaneous options that may interest those experimental "fun" because of the location and the environment. My neighbor brought us a couple of empanadas and alcapurria for us to try from here and they are the best Puertorrican empanadas I have tried! Fresh, made to order, fried in clean oil (I did not get upset stomach), big, filled and tasty. He got us pizza empanadas and queso blanco empanadas and both hit the spot. The alcapurria is made out of yucca and filled with ground beef and it was tasty too.

My neighbor brought us a couple of empanadas and alcapurria for us to try from here and they are the best Puertorrican empanadas I have tried! The actual food is pretty good. My favorite would be the pernil sandwich, highly recommended. But for being "the house of empanadas" i expected their empanadas to be really good, and well... they're not really that great. I've had better at local supermarkets. The staff is pretty cool. I'd probably order delivery next time though because sometimes the wait is too long, but the locals love this place so expect a bit of wait time when going in store.

The empanadas were very good! They actually had them made as soon as I ordered them (it took 7-8 minutes) so they were fresh and incredibly hot. I must have burned myself 10+ times with two extremely hot Colombian empanadas that were absolutely delicious. They did not have, that I could see any condiments for them, but the flavor was on point. Golden, crispy texture and a decent amount of filling. What is horrible, terrible, about this place is the atmosphere. Salsa music so loud that it's hard to even think, much less enjoy the food. Ambient music is one thing, but it should never distract from the food. Like so many places in Orlando, the music is there to entertain the employees, even if it's at the expense of the paying customer. The owners of this place would save a good bit of money turning this into a drive thru, instead of subjecting patrons to a "free" salsa and bachata concert in every bite. In summary, good empanadas, but take them to go.

Food is okay, pork was a little cold, rice had a little flavor. The pastries are amazing and the prices are cheap, which is why I rate the business a three star. The area surrounding the business is a bit sketchy, but if you want authentic Spanish food, its worth a try. Maybe it was just the day I decided to go and the time, that the food wasn't just too great.

The staff was nice. We went in about dinner time. We bought a píonono, alcapurrias, and morcilla. We took some bites out of each item we felt it didn’t taste right and threw it all out. Within the hour we had stomach discomfort. We believe they might have left the food out longer then they should have. We didn’t buy anything else to say all the other food was good.

When I went there they were nice and friendly but the food I got was TERRIBLE like it has a spoiled taste. But the mango drink was cool. The food I paid for 👎🏾👎🏾 Waste of money.

Greetings everyone. I was not going to write this. However, after this morning I will. This is the 3rd time I order the same breakfast and they screw it up. either the bread is hard, or is missing something on my plate r wrong order. this morning I asked for the plater with the bacon egg and sausage. scramble on the side. NOT an OMELLETE not the supreme. and I get the freaking omelet and the lady has the nerves to tell me they no longer make the fried eggs with the bacon platter. Yet there's a man on the table eating what I asked for laughing. Unless you go in person you will 9 out of 10 your order will be wrong if ordered by phone. i WILL NOT GO BACK THERE AGAIN UNLESS AM DESPERATE. And hate how they try to justify it.

The food was horrible. The fried pork was like they were trying to make an Asian Char Siu. The beans were too tomato forward and salty as well. And the pork chicharon tasted old. Like it’s been under lights for a while and it wasn’t cooked well and had like 2 inches of under rendered. The empanadas from the “House of empanadas” was super dry. How can your star product be cooked incorrectly?! 1/2 my order went to the garbage and we won’t be ordering from here again.

Honestly not a good place to stop and spent your money , Food quality is very poor, however it’s look good from the outside but taste is horrible, tried 2 different plates , 0 stars , coditos salad smell like expired or left out for long before put in on the cold case, there is no flavor at all , I use to come to this place a lot before new management , now is another place , employees are not friendly probably 1 or 2 maybe , price are very high ridiculous, well I don’t recommend this place at all, will never come back neither my family. The worst lunch experience! Try Melao’s Bakery there is the real place to eat Puerto Rican, Dominican Food and not far away from this place.

Me and my daughter went there for the first time around 5/6 pm Saturday evening after a long day downtown.... We ordered from the buffet side where the rice and meat were pre-cooked and assumed to be hot ...we received our plates and the food was cold and had no flavor 🙁 no one even offered to warm it up ... The ladies were very nice but we were clearly overcharged for two plates I paid $20+ and the rice on the plate consumed all the space with a very little bit of meat ..... Definitely did not have a good experience - for less money I can go home and cook for the whole family and next time I will....at least I know it would be free of harmful bacterias and have a FLAVOR I have to say this because it's so important The day after our visit on Sunday and today (Monday) my daughter has not been feeling good and I have no doubt in my mind that it is from the cold food . ... Because bacteria can quickly grow when food is not kept at certain temp and I do blame myself as well because I should have LEFT and not let her eat it ..... It's sad that I had to rate a Latino restaurant like this honestly ....but my public has to know the truth of our experience and please BE CAREFUL!!!! She has a doctor's appointment this evening for that cold pulled pork that has her sick ... I don't know if the place is better at lunch hour when maybe the food is hot but if you come after lunch hour be warned that that food will be cold and bacteria just sits there and grows I don't want your kid to end up with a sour stomach like mine has (nausea and diarrhea)

Empanadas were really mid tier. I am not happy at all with my experience it tasted unseasoned it was dry. It was bland, and I got the meat which was there supposed most popular one, but it was definitely not the experience that I thought I was going to have, especially when the place is called house of empanadas. Super disappointing I won’t be going there again.

If you want cold, dry food that has been smashed into a bag that is too small, you'll love this place. It was disgusting, and why do you have to reheat food in the microwave off of the buffet? If it's not keeping it warm enough you are making people sick!!!

I order from this restaurant many times and the food is good but their customer service sucks!!!! They never send utilities so at times I’m eating with my fingers and my last order was sopau de camarones which I paid 21$ for and they send it with only Three camarones what a disappointment so basically I had rice soup smfh! I call the “ manager” she said her name is Iris and literally said there’s nothing she can do. Of course not duh I’m miles away lucky I wasn’t there in person she would have had to give me the rest of my dam shrimps that I paid for smh slick lady!!!!

Very disappointed. an insult to the Colombian empanada The worst Colombian empanadas and tequeño I've ever tasted. Empanadas was yellow, very hard, it hurt my gums they were cold and old I couldn't eat more than two bites. The tequeño had no cheese.

I just order throw uber and the shrimp empanada looks like this, I mean for 4 dollars, I was expecting something better than this. The cheese tasted old. Would not recommend if u are looking for autentic empanadas!

Disappointed with the tilapia. It was a single fillet with some lettuce for $10. Also, when I went to pick up my Grubhub order. They didn’t believe it was for me and thought that I was a Grubhub driver. I had to show my phone order to two people for them to finally hand the food over to me. I speak Spanish and the whole transaction was in Spanish so I know there was no miscommunication. Empanadas are decent.

Arrived at 5:50pm (10 minutes before their closing time) and they already had their doors locked, with a bunch of people standing around their counter talking. I knocked on the door, and they just waved their hands at me to go away. Never coming back to this place.

My door dasher was at the door at 8:02pm. Two minutes after closing and when he asked to pick up my order they said they threw out the order because they are closed and no one picked it up. How can the food just go missing in two minutes of non business hours? I’m sure someonetook the opportunity for free food that I paid for and just took it home or ate it. They have no shame and did not want to accommodate for any reason at all. Mind you I placed they order at 7:09 pm. SMH

Charging $11.50 for this is crazy. The Plantain looks like they found it under the stove. Plus they charge extra for beans. I will take my money to Lechonera. This place has gone downhill. Food here doesn't taste the same anymore and is way more expensive. I wont be back.

Charging $11.50 for this is crazy. The Plantain looks like they found it under the stove. Plus they charge extra for beans. I will take my money to Lechonera. This place has gone downhill. Food here doesn't taste the same anymore and is way more expensive. I wont be back.

Disappointed with the tilapia. It was a single fillet with some lettuce for $10. Also, when I went to pick up my Grubhub order. They didn’t believe it was for me and thought that I was a Grubhub driver. I had to show my phone order to two people for them to finally hand the food over to me. I speak Spanish and the whole transaction was in Spanish so I know there was no miscommunication. Empanadas are decent.

If I could give them 0 star I will. Worse service there is a better place in less than a mile and the food even better. and price very good
