Thanks Sideways. I just wanted let to you know that your the best scorched earth (visualize where your drink was a vodka cranberry and you get to see the cranberry fight its way to the bottom to make a hint of pink) dive bar known to me. It was thanks to him i found the place and the mexican food right next door that deliver it.

First, it's a dive bar. Don't go there thinking any different. Great place still. Eclectic interior, cheap drinks, good specials and very hospitable. Definitely recommend.

Sideways bar is one of the best social atmospheres in El_Cajon where you can go and have a few drinks and not worry about any other problems interfering with a good time. I recommend Sideways bar for any and everyone looking for a good time without traveling to far from home. Enjoy.🤩🤩🤩🤩. I give it a 100%.

I was on my way back home to Orange County, just visiting friends in San Diego, when I spotted this Sideways Bar on Google maps. It had good reviews, so I stopped here for a drink and to take a break from the drive home. They make a good drink. I always tip the bar tender first. If I'm going to have 2 drinks, I flip him/her a 5 spot, and say make me a stiff one. It almost always does the trick. I tried the watermelon crawl. Interesting - Good flavor and he put a good amount of booze in it so it did the trick. Employees were friendly and I enjoyed the afternoon break. I got something to eat also. Highly recommend

Absolutely feels like home because everyone cares about you & what your going through! They are pretty amazing people, the owners that is! Also, I have made some pretty amazing friends here! They have made this establishment the way it is today! It reminds me of being back home! Ok back home, this would be called the corner bar & that is a very GOOD thing!

I passed by here while getting my cars windows tinted and I would never regret the comfy environment they introduced me in. Served the special they had on the board and beers I was happy with entering and leaving. The taco shop next door served me rolled tacos fast so If your hungry that’s ++ Chill served liquor is available. Games like Pool and table tennis or ping pong are at the ready with regulars. A lot of hugs I notice. Small but cozy with food on the side ~ Zen

I absolutely love this place. I go regularly. When I first moved to El cajon I was looking for my local watering hole and I definitely found it. They have the best prices in town and they really care about their customers. Even on a Friday night they will check in with their patrons to make sure they're having a good and safe night. You really feel atmosphere here. Misty is one of the best mixologist I've ever met and she really knows how to make you feel welcome. Definitely give this place a go and enjoy. (Just like me!)

Its a neighborhood bar at the corner of Chase and Estes st in a strip mall at the end on the north west corner of strip mall there's good people great bar tenders 2 pool tables ,foosball table , pingpong table , shuffleboard table it holds a capacity of 89 people wheelchair excessable it's tucked away not very visible but good times stop in on your way through.

Over all simple feel hole in the wall easy come easy go... pool table, ping pong table fooxe ball table and the one with the salt you slide the heavy metal disks down... good beer good service almos t had to get crazy on a dude trying to hit on my lady but overall typical east county bar

Although I am not yet old enough to go into this bar, the people who are sometimes outside are very nice, they once offered to buy me water from the 99 cents store nearby, once I am old enough, I plan to visit the inside and meet the nice people who have helped me. Overall, very nice workers and people.

When you have the right Bartender service is perfect.

No service because bartender didn't want to accept an out of state driver's license and military ID. Waste of time and she was rude about it.

They raised the price on Margaritas. They aren't $6 anymore, they are $11.50 now. In response. The waitress was veey rude last night when I simply asked about my bill. I spoke to the owner. She told me they have a new lease payment and had to raise prices. I have been coming here for 9 years. It is literally the only bar I go to. But as you suggested, I will find a new place.

Usually my BF n I have a great time here. Living within walking distance makes it a GREAT neighborhood bar to hang out. We've been going there once or twice a month, and during special celebrations (birthdays, Halloween, etc.). We love the fact you could play pool, shuffleboard, fuseball, pingpong, and classic arcade games. We've never had a problem with the bartenders or their service. We actually enjoy their personalities and great customer service. However tonight there was a bartender I did'nt recognize. I paid on the app connected to the jukebox to play music. Music i might mention I've played there before with no problem. She cut of one song half a verse through. Then she told my boyfriend she'd pay me $5 If I'd let her skip the rest of my music. Um that's a Big NO. I sit through music I don't like and I don't complain or expect the bartender to skip. Plus I spent more than 5 bucks. Then another one of my songs started and she skipped it! It didn't even have long enough to play for people to identify it. So it was her who didn't want to hear it, not customers like she claimed. (Even though I heard someone enjoying the first song she skipped n I replayed. She then in front of everyone announced with money in the air "I'll pay you $20 to stop playing your music". I was pissed, offended, and humiliated. I grabbed the cash n left. I should of counted it first cause she obviously can't add money. It was only 2 $5 bills. I wish I got a pic of her cause I'd say stay away if she's there. I'm not going back.
