Teaspoon El Camino Real Reviews
Teaspoon el Camino offers a delightful experience with its prime location, inviting interiors, and efficient service. The abundance of parking is a definite plus. Their Paradise Lime stands out, along with an array of fresh flavors and boba options, making it a must-visit for boba enthusiasts.
Love this place!! Always nice and friendly people and super accommodating to special requests plus their products taste much better than the ones at the San Antonio location. Worth the drive! Eleanor is especially helpful and super kind and polite!
I would like to say this place is awesome. The manager Michael is sooooo sweet. He has such a great personality and he's enjoys receiving feedback from customers. The soup that I had today was so amazing Tom Kah Gai. I'm telling you this soup was so comforting. I really enjoyed it on this cold day. The staff members are really so sweet and my sister's and I really enjoyed the food. Thank you so much for the pleasant evening.
Thanks for working hard during covid19. Really nice idea of locking doors but placing orders outside on the table. This place is still a bit busy as of 5/1/2020. See images
Friendly service and quality teas. Very cute location. Wish the parking was a bit less hectic though. Came in on a Friday night and it was madness.
These guys have a machine to brew tea drinks. Tasty teas. I had the thai tea. Good tea earthy blend. Other boba tea drink places are powdered stuff they mix. What a travesty. This place is the real deal. Correct me if I'm wrong please. Staff is well versed in their craft. As always, post your foodies wherever your travels take u.
I'm obsessed with the Taro Lovers tea!! Highly recommend stopping by here for a quick tea! The staff is very quick in making the tea.
Just opened, very friendly and helpful staff! I had the white grape oolong milk tea with crystal boba, very delicious with good tea fragrance. Have to come back to try their snow ice desserts!

Really nice shaved ice. The texture is not like the normal snow I have had, it is almost textured like a croissant. Not too sweet either.
💗 I love their tea and this was my first place to try popping boba ! They have teas, coffee, speciality blends like Red Bull mixes, seasonal specials, smoothies plus desserts! 💗 Reasonable rates and amazing boba tea. The place is so aesthetically decorated and cute and the staff are super friendly. Love how I have the option to adjust the ice level 🧊 and the sugar content ! 📝 Their teas don’t usually come with added topping, so make sure you add yours. ✨ Normal bobas - 🧡My husband tried the Black Sugar Assam the first time and it was pretty decent. 💚 Today we tried the matcha Royal and I’m in loveeeeeee! I would definitely 💯 recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new and the matcha didn’t taste bitter at all which was surprising ! 😍 Fruit teas - 💚 The first time I tried the lychee popping boba with the grasshopper drink! Love love loved it. ❤️🩹 🤍 The second time I tried the passion fruit drink with passion fruit popping boba. This popping boba tasted slightly rotten 😔 However, the staff were nice enough to switch the boba and fix my drink with lychee jelly when I went back and I appreciate it 💕 ✨ I’ll definitely be back for more drinks !! ✨
Service: The cashier was nice and patience. She has some great recommendations. She was also the same person who made our drink. She was actually pretty quick about it. Drinks: Liquid gold is the best drink here. It has a great balance of tea and honey. 50% sweet is just perfect. It doesn't look like the picture, but it sure taste amazing. Pina Colada taste like a pina colada drink without the alcohol. Now I have no need to go to the bars and lounges to get this drink. It's on the sweet end. Just to give you a heads up. Mango Fun Time taste like a mango smoothie. It is sweet. Normal sweet is good. Osmanthus Oolong Tea is amazing. It has a good after taste to it. Lychee Black Tea with Lychee jelly. Set the sweetness at 75% for the perfect blend. Rose petal oolong tea is a great combination. Its subtle and refreshing. Ambience: It's very empty inside. A few seats inside. No seats outside. They could add 3 or 4 more tables and chairs. There are really no wall decorations besides a giant spoon and a few display. Very white inside. They play soothing music, which can't be heard because so many people are talking. The trash was kind of full. Wish they would empty it more often.
We ordered caramel cream, strawberry milk and strawberry matche royale. Everything with honey boba. We liked the taste but it was a bit too sweet for us and couldn't finish it. The portion size for that price was generous.
4.5 stars - Consistently good, with some excellent specialty drinks and fast, friendly service. Fruit teas always taste really fresh and bright here, I've never run into one that was syrupy or overly sweet. They do have only one (big) size, and the drinks are so good I don't think that's something to really complain about, but it does mean the price point is closer to the $8-$10 range with add-ons. There isn't as much variety for milk teas here, but the House Milk Tea is a solid choice and I always enjoy their boba - it's the right amount of sweet and a good chewy. Their specialty fruit teas is where they really shine - HIGHLY recommend the Paradise Lime (floral tea + lime), the Lady Bug (jade tea + passion fruit and kumquat juice) and my personal favorite, the Grasshopper (lychee green tea + cucumber juice). Unless you have a real sweet tooth, 'less sweet' will do the trick nicely for all of these.
I haven’t tried all their menu but thai tea was good.

The drink was good except the fact that they forgot to put less ice. There’s no way a half cup of ice is less ice. If that’s the case, does that mean regular ice is a full cup of ice?
Had to remake my drink twice. First time for forgetting to add boba, and second time for incorrectly sealing my drink. Still quality boba despite the mistakes.

I really like this teaspoon. My husband and I always come & we always have great customer service. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about today. We went in, and they had a young lady working, and she wasn't paying attention to the customers because apparently she had a young man visiting her during her work hrs. She didn't even offer any topping to our teas. She was more interested in talking to the young man who was there visiting her.
Popped in for a quick Vietnamese coffee...which kind of turns out to be the only issue I had here. It wasn't busy and I was greeted with a smile and my order was taken immediately. Great! Before I could even begin to look for a spot to sit down, my order was ready! Huh? Now, in our rush-a-day world, most people would prolly be delighted to have such a fast turnaround: come in, order, get their little drink and jet out to the car and drive off. Which is fine...but for me, personally, it meant, for my $7 plus tip, I was getting a coffee drink that was already brewed and mixed at some unknowable point in the past. I suppose I could have asked when the coffee was brewed, but what are they gonna tell me and what would it accomplish? What I know is that it was brewed and mixed before I even stepped through the door, therefore, in my mind, it's not fresh. Like I started off this review with, people are busy and in a rush - but quality matters and quality can take time. Maybe ask the customer if they would care to wait a few minutes for a fresh brew. If they can wait, great - happy customer. If they're not interested in waiting, they can take the pre-brewed, pre-mixed version and be happy they got it so fast. This is a nice little shop, it's clean and the staff seems friendly and efficient.
Quality has gone down but pricing has gone up since they launched -- in little ways that make it easier to decide to go to competitors nearby over time. Tea flavor has gotten more and more watered down, toppings/ingredients and customizability vs others is much more limited. They don't give you a way to carry your teas easily if you get more than one. And, total bait and switch with their baked goods: they present and price them in a display case like they are bakery made or fresh -- they are not. I bought a marshmallow bar on a whim after looking at it in the display case, thinking they were going to pull it from there, paper envelope it and hand it to me. Nope, she handed me a "Sweet Street" cellophane plastic sealed mass produced bar you can get on any airline flight as a snack, or at various grocery and concenience stores, and the first ingredient is CORN SYRUP and it looks nothing like what's in the display. (smaller in size, crumbled rice with thin marshmallow streaks vs big moist marshmallow pieces/gooey blobs in whole plump rice filling that made me decide to buy the thing in the first place).

I got the taro drink for my daughter. The taro drink is too sweet and comes presweetened already. I was told they can’t do anything adjust the sweetness level since it’s presweetened. I was offered to get a different drink, but my daughter didn’t want anything other than taro. We ended up just throwing it away because of how sweet the drink is.
