Peet's Coffee El Cerrito Reviews
I love my Peet's Coffee in the morning. This place is so packed though. This lovely location that is usually full have such a wonderful staff. Ask for exactly what you want and you'll get exactly what you requested. But if they make a mistake no worries they will happily remake your drink or give you a card for next time. Be sure to use your Peet's reward card for free drinks in the future.
Pete's hands down has the best Tuxedo mocha black and white chocolate with whip cream. If you order this you cannot go wrong.
This is my favorite coffee shop that is really close to my home. The customer service is exceptional. Joey is a great guy, very friendly and polite. I only wish there were enough outlets available and the temperature was little warm. Sometimes it's really cold inside.
Only get coffee here. Prefer the previous colors before the upgrade. Layout is nicer, bathrooms are cleaner.
Love Peets coffee in Albany. I used to work close by this store back in 2012-13 and this was my regular spot. Knew all the crew back then, who were awesome (I think John is still there???). My visit today was good. It's always clean, staff were ok and the coffee ALWAYS great. Highly recommended it.
Love coming here to get my caffeine fix. It's not often that I have time to come here to enjoy a nice beverage but today I was in the area and decided I needed an end of the week treat. Since it was kind of warm out I decided to order a cold frappe drink but wasn't sure what was available. The line was going pretty fast so I didn't have time to look at the app. Wish they had the specials on the sign board. Anyways I ended up getting a caramel frappe drink. It was really good and very sweet. I had to mix the drink around with the straw to distribute the sauce and syrup. The drink has a very good coffee flavor unlike Starbucks which just tastes like sweet milk with a bit of caramel flavoring. Every time I go starbucks I have to add a shot of espresso to get that same coffee flavor as Peet's.
Always like to stop here on the way out of town. Love a great cup of coffee for the drive home.
I live in the area, and this is 100% my coffee shop of choice. Their cold brew is #1. They also have a ton of other non-coffee beverages perfect for the afternoon. They just invested in a major remodel (I think it opened last week?) and the store looks incredible. If you haven't been here, or are just looking for an amazing coffee shop in El Cerrito, this is a must try.

I always order thru the Peets app. This is a huge time saver, especially if you know how busy Peets can get. Today I ordered the new zombie brew and was delicious. It has cold brew and matcha and it's a beautiful drink. I can't wait to try it again.

Great customer service and speedy drinks! We love Peet’s. My drink is the cold brew oat latte with no jelly.

Peetnik since 1976. Great beans, good beverages, good warm food, OK pastries. Friendly service. Wide selection of dark and medium roast beans. My favorite hot drink the Havana cappuccino. Newly remodeled interior, Sep 2025. Friendly service.

This place is nice to hang out in for a while for work and such. There are issues with homeless people coming inside, almost always leaving a mess. It's not often. I have seen police step in and take them out, though, if it comes down to it. So, take into account that there will be action if necessary! (Unlike many other places who are struggling to deal with the homeless problem!)
It’s a great store. My favorite item, the brewed coffee, was fresh, and all the staff were very kind. One downside was the limited parking. I didn’t want to park in the 10-minute parking spot, so I parked at the mall across the street instead (which is a good alternative). Overall, I really liked the store.

I really wish they had a drive through. The parking lot is always full and they never seem to have enough people behind the counter. That said, I went in for the seasonal dark chocolate orange mocha and I was not disapointed. Very orange, very chocolate, and delicious. They need a better location though.
Staff is friendly. They usually have fresh decaf brewed but a change in flavor would be nice. The parking lot is horrible and when there is a rush, it can take a long time to get in and out. Order ahead using the app. Walk or bike over if you can.
The place is quite small, came here because car issues but didn't find a place to sit.. ordered a chai latte that took over 15 minutes to make. While it did taste nice, the wait is way longer than most competitive coffee places. Pro: taste good Con:no space, not good on the go either because of long wait and small parking space.
The staff were just phoning it in this morning with no thought about customer service. I ordered a pound of decaf and with that I get a free coffee. The server saw me sitting and waiting on the other side of the restaurant where there was a chair available to sit. It wasn’t busy and he could see I was still waiting. Supposedly they called out the products were ready and set them down where the barista was but that was on the other side. I didn’t hear anything. Would it have killed him to say maam your items are waiting for you.? When I did pick them up my free coffee wasn’t there. I know workers in general try to do a good job and they work hard. But a little attention to the customer would be nice.
No place to sit to wait for carry out. No eye contact made by the baristas. The orders are completed, set on the counter, your name called out, then they walk away. I didn't like the service or atmosphere at all

Yoooo I love this Peet’s usually, they have great coffee and reliably good service. I ordered a black Tie and the cold brew was sooo light. You guys should change the name to light brown Tie if you continue to serve it. If I order a drink with black in the name it Better be dark roast!! No bad vibes I know Being a barista isn’t easy, hope to see improvement from y’all! Hopefully it was just an off day.
Coffee is fine; it's Peet's. However, 15 minutes to get just a plain black coffee is ridiculous. The people behind the counter were working & hustling (so not cuz they're slow), but their system is flawed, in my opinion. Simple things, like black coffee, should just be handled, and not put in line behind drinks that require being put together. This would let people who don't need to be there to get the heck out of there and out of the way. Other Peet's locations do it this way, and it seems to work just fine. Last point: The barista that gave me my drink said that the reason it was delayed was that new coffee needed to be brewed. Nuh-uh. That's not the reason (see above), and it only takes a few minutes to brew a new batch. I know, I've seen it done dozens of times at other Peet's locations.
Terrible selection at this Peet’s early on a Sunday morning with non-empathetic staff. Waste of time and won’t be back to this location

Normally love this location but the barista this time didn't make my drink right (which isn't my issue at all) when I asked if it could be fixed before I was even able to ask he rolled his eyes at me. I was as polite as I could be but that was honestly rude for no reason.
