La Viña El Espinar Reviews
Olé olé y olé. Hemos cenado fenomenal.
Ideal for a weekend getaway from Madrid. The quality of the ingredients is evident. The atmosphere is superb, and the customer service is excellent, both professional and friendly. Without a doubt, this is a place where attention to detail is paramount, and you'll want to enjoy the terrace.
A completely renovated restaurant that still has a very welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, with background music that wasn't overly sophisticated, very professional waiters, and clean, tidy restrooms with three-ply toilet paper... in short, quality and attention to detail. The food was also excellent. We had suckling pig and lamb. I couldn't say which was better. The meat was perfectly cooked inside and crispy outside. Both were exquisite. And the price was fantastic for the location and the quality of the food. Highly recommended and it's definitely become a must-stop on my Madrid-Asturias route.
The entrecote was a little thin, but upon hearing our comment, the waiter immediately offered us another. We weren't expecting it, and as soon as we finished it, he brought us another one a couple of centimeters thick. The flavor was delicious, and we were so grateful for the thoughtfulness, and of course, at no extra cost. 100% recommended. Thank you to the staff for their kindness and professionalism.
Highly recommended. The food is delicious; they have excellent cuisine and the roasts are tremendous. The suckling pig is exquisite, but the entire menu is worth a try. The place is very pleasant, and the waiters are very helpful and polite. To top it all off, you can't leave without trying the desserts; the ponche segoviano and the torrija are spectacular. A must-visit if you're in the area.
They served us at the last minute! The food was spectacular, and the service was excellent too! We loved the terrine, and it came with that dish and a garden salad. The suckling pig was delicious, but we didn't have room for it anymore. ✨🤍😊 Thank you so much! Highly recommended! I would definitely be back.
Delicious food and nice options for all the family. Great looking venue and enjoyable atmosphere.
Great family run restaurant. Excellent food and and lovely atmosphere.
This is in my opinion the best restaurant in this town. The lamb and piglet are fantastic, well prepared. Some of the desserts are homemade, ask for them, the ponche segoviano must be tired. I have visited this place more than three times.
Check out the suckling pig!
I chose this restaurant after reading the reviews on GMaps, and I honestly wasn't disappointed at all. The location and decor are attractive and inviting, with tables spaced far apart, making it easy to move around and provide service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to work. As for the food, which is ultimately the most important thing, I can only say that it was well-cooked, delicious, and beautifully presented. We opted (because it was what we saw most often on the tables) for the suckling lamb (leg and ribs), and we weren't disappointed, although for my personal taste, I prefer the leg with a touch more browning, but that's not a criticism. If we have the chance again, we'll probably go back.
Asador La Viña in San Rafael (Segovia) is a beautiful and spacious restaurant with a very pleasant outdoor terrace where we were seated for lunch. As soon as we arrived, we were offered complimentary torreznos (fried pork rinds), a very appreciated touch accompanied by an ice-cold beer. For starters, we ordered a small casserole of judiones (beans), creamy, and full of flavor, with the perfect touch of chorizo and blood sausage. A hearty and delicious dish. We then tried the homemade Asun-style ham croquettes, which unfortunately were quite disappointing. They tasted almost nothing like ham, the fries were tough, and honestly, they seemed more supermarket-baked than homemade. It's a shame because the restaurant is well worth the visit, but this dish didn't live up to expectations. We continued with some Castilla y León lamb chops accompanied by fries. They were tender, juicy, with an incredible suckling lamb flavor and the perfect amount of salt. Without a doubt, one of the star dishes. For dessert, we tried the ponche segoviano (segaviano punch), delicious with its toasted sugar and the cream-filled sponge cake, which was outstanding. The cheesecake was also very good. The staff was wonderful; everyone was attentive and friendly at all times. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of the major flaw in the croquettes, as the menu describes them as "homemade Asun-style croquettes," and the reality is far from that description. Even so, we will return to try other dishes because the overall experience was very good.
Good homemade food in a cozy atmosphere
Awesome traditional dished. The place Is cozy and staff so friendly
Ok
I thought quite a bit about this review and decided to go for two stars considering the expectations I had before getting there. Reasons listed below: 1. Reception and arrival - it was mediocre at best, we were told to wait for about 10 minutes although there were clearly several empty tables available outside, and almost completely empty inside. Later, it seemed that there were two waiters who were also the ones supposed to be seating us, hence the conclusions that on that night, the restaurant was understaffed. 2. Tables and chairs were disinfected and the COVID regulations were maintained.Nonetjeless there was a faint smell of tobacco in the air despite the no smoking sign hanging above. I could not track the source as they probably turned it off. 3. The setting and ambiance are both nice. The menu has quite a bit of variety and we were really getting excited about the taste of the food which is basically the Maine Eason we came (after seeing several good reviews). Hi were, the food was disappointing and I'll explain why. a. Tinto de verano - I asked if it was made in house to which the waiter confirmed that it was (not bottled). However, it was flat, did not have vermouth and tasted like a can of soda after it had lost its gas. b. Croquetas de jamón - they were bland at best, too much bechamel, too little jamón, and lacking salt and general flavor. Moreover, they arrived almost cold c. Ensalada de rulo de cabra - taste was nice, overall good mix of dressing, lettuce and cheese. We enjoyed this dish d. Sepia a la plancha - disappointing, it was more liquidy that it should, the mayonnaise sauce was not fresh and finally, it arrived cold. I was really looking forward to having a meal here, and while I do think that it could have just been once bad experience, we won't be going here again. There are too many great options around that it's just more valuable to spend the money elsewhere.
