Pollo NEY El Naranjo Reviews
Planet chicken is a beautiful small restaurant with great food. Their chicken is simply the best. I didn't give 5 stars on food because time and time again, their plantains are unsweetened and burnt..I should've learned by now not to order them. I, however, love everything else. The place is clean and the waiters are friendly and nice.
Quick and reasonably priced for. Love the green sauce.
Food is delicious, green sauce its sooooo delicious, ceviche, rice with seafood is awesome and jalea its as well!!
I have driven many times past Plant Chicken and I always noticed how busy the foot traffic was for the restaurant. After over 25 years, I finally asked my wife if she would like to try Planet Chicken and she agreed after reviewing their menu. Planet Chicken is simple, casual, and cozy eatery with delicious comfort food. It is a refreshing change from the chains! They offer warm, friendly, and fast customer service. Upon entering the establishment, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly host/server, Jesus who quickly seated us. He was very pleasant, professional, friendly and very attentive. He immediately brought out our our beverages- a bottle of Chica Limena Passion Fruit Drink and a can of Coke... both with no ice. Jesus had a welcoming demeanor and genuine friendly smile. Jesus was SPECTACULAR and his customer service skills were OUTSTANDING! In short, he really made for a great dinner experience! For an entree, my wife had Bistec a lo Probe and I had the Chaufa Mixto. Everything was absolutely delicious and both meals were prepared, portioned, and cooked to perfection. Their spicy green sauce is the bomb and I could not help putting small portions on everything that I ate. We generally do not eat fries but their spicy green sauce made them taste so good! We usually DO NOT order dessert but the food was so delicious that we tried the Tres Leches which was not too sweet like most cakes, it was perfect. We inquired what most of the regulars were drinking... Jesus brought us a complimentary glass of Chica Morada Lt which was freshly homemade and oh so good! We will definitely be returning here when we are in the Middlesex County area! By the way, call before you go and ensure that Jesus is working and request him as your Server upon your arrival. In short, Planet Chicken offers delicious food and Jesus is the BEST PERIOD!
Wow. Today was my first visit in person. I had previously only had the pollo a la brasa (with the green sauce, of course) catered with the salad, red beans, and plantains and thought everything was great. Today, I had almost exactly the same things but it was even better in restaurant. The chicken was so well seasoned with delicious crispy skin. Everything was tasty and service was great. Would recommend going out of your way to try this one!
I am marrying a Peruvian for a reason! The food is great but it’s all about the chicken and that green sauuuuuuuuuce. Her cousin comes from Peru from time to time and buys a container of just the green sauce when he’s in the state. The chicken is also where it’s at. The meat is juicy and it falls off the bone. Out the two together and you have an amazing family meal. Make sure to bring wet wipes, you’re gonna wanna get greasy and dirty with this chicken.
The food was a 5/5 and delicious! I literally put the green sauce on everything they served, and I loved it! The 4/5 rating is for the service. Our server was completely overwhelmed, and he had no help at that time. The service lacked severely because of this. I would still recommend this place to everyone interested in trying some Peruvian food in the area.
Liked the one in Bound Brook BUT watch the giant step in and out. It's gigantic. Yes they have some yellow paint but I was looking straight ahead at my cousin across the street to yell something to him. Took a step and Bam. Went down on the concrete . Went to the dr. Now I'm getting PT. They're lucky I didn't sue. They need a railing. I found out there's one closer to me. Will have to check them out, including the steps.
Well everyone enjoyed their meals, every thing was fresh and flavorful. However no cancha or canchita for having authentic Purvian Restaurant lacking such a basic dish was very very disappointing this is why they only get 4 Stars overall. But everything else was great presentation and flavor. If you out in the area and want a good Puruvian food stop by and make your own review. They also are not wheelchair accessible. It would not take much for them to make it happen.
Someone recommended this peruvian spot so I decided to finally take my wife and children. The food did not disappoint. But the service did. The workers just didn't seem too interested. We asked for ice water and they brought us poland spring bottled water with cups of ice. To be sure, I asked if there was an extra charge for these bottled waters that I did not ask for. I had already opened one bottle and gave back two. It ended up being $2.25 per bottle where it's worth $1. Nice trick to upcharge you without and not saying anything. The food was tasty and flavors were there. Just make sure you ask questions before you get surprise charges to your bill.
This place has been around for a long time but I’ve never tried it . It’s a fairly decent size casual place and they a good size menu selection . I thought it was a Portuguese kind of place but guess it’s Peruvian . Service was a bit slow. It took a little while before we got our food. I ordered half chicken which came rice. My husband got bistec . The food was fairly decent. Nothing to completely rave about my chicken was very dry. It was a rotisserie style chicken. My husband steak did not really have much taste. They do give you a green sauce which actually helps elevate the flavors. They have a few other menu items. I would consider trying if I ever get around to trying this place again, but they are doing something right because it always seems to be busy here. Definitely a lot of takeout orders.
The seafood soup was not tasty. I felt I was over charged. Order two dishes. Based on the menu, the total was 40. After adding tax and tip (20%), I paid 60 in total.
I really enjoy the food at this establishment; however, the customer service over the phone has consistently been disappointing. The same individual seems to answer each time, and unfortunately, their attitude makes the ordering process unpleasant. On an few occasion, the call was even disconnected, and when we attempted to call back, it would not go through. Additionally, there have been times when they responded with unprofessional behavior, such as audibly expressing frustration while taking orders. This individual either needs proper customer service training or should be reassigned, because their behavior reflects poorly on the business.
The food is usually good but we were served an Old whole rotisserie chicken. The meat was over cooked and the texture hard and rubbery. Not tender at all! That was a first for this location. The service is bad. Some of The waiters avoid the tables with customers that speak only English like myself. It was not until I got up from our table and went to the counter to order my food for dine in that they got alarmed and begin panicking they looked nervous when I did that. Only after that we received a waiter, and I proceeded to explain to him that I have been trying to get our original waiter's attention but he kept avoiding eye contact with me. The picture that I post the chicken does look really good, but But it was overcooked and we could barely eat the meat inside of it. It tasted like leftover chicken from the night before, we did get there kind of around a time that they opened, which is 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. so it could have been reheated rotisserie style and possibly dried out. I would give a it try again if I'm in the area but I hope the quality of the chicken is better underneath the skin. The quality and taste of the chicken has changem there's a compared picture from six years ago to yesterday, Where you can see the difference in texture. The quality seems like it has gone down over the years.I hope eventually they'll bring back the old recipe and the authentic peruvian taste of the food. Not even was the rice cooked all the way through and it really didn't have a taste. If you were going to get an extra taste from the food, it would come from the Ahi Green sauce, but even that tasted different, like they used an overload of mayonnaise and And cilantro. Not wheelchair chair accessible.
I am not sure if they change owners, but the food was horrible chaulafan was full of onions and big peppers not good taste, asked for leche de tigre they didn't have... ??? Peruvian restaurant and they didn't have it.. asked for camarones al ajillo instead, I turned it back it was salty and horrible... never going back... it used to be good....
Honestly I’ve been going for years to this place I’ve never had food with no taste ordered a Jalea everything was over fried no flavor. Rice was not what it use to be definitely not ordering any time soon.
Only Peruvians can tell if the food is authentic Peruvian cuisine. This place is a fiasco starting with the roasted chicken,( Dry, chewy , old, re-hit it, burn, )the green sauce( was like mayo, instead of huacatay flavor ) if something was fresh I can tell were the fries, even without salt. If a simple easy pollo a la braza was horrible, I won’t try the rest of the menu. The servers were Mexican , when I complained, they were mute, no interest on fixing or asking what they can do to serve you better. Nothing!! Only the decorations are from Peru. This is a warning ⚠️it looks like this place get rid of the leftovers from the weekend on Mondays. So you get what I got. I’ll give it 1 star ⭐️ . and wish you a good luck with your stomach and wallet.
