Chinese Gourmet Express El Paso Reviews
We recently had a luncheon at work for about 70 people. Mandy provided us with great service, excellent food, and at a fair but exceptional price. Everyone at worked loved their food and kept asking where we got the food from. Needless to say, people were surprised when we told them it was from a shop at the mall. What was even better was that they were able to process the food with a 1-day notice. We will definitely be coming back for more food on our future luncheons.
Please don't forget to hit the like button below for this review after you finish reading, so Google can credit me and all your local guide reviewers for all their hard work! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 WOW! This is a Chinese restaurant you can trust. For very fast Chinese food, it is the best. The lo mein is a unique thick wide noodle with the perfect flavor, the bourbon chicken is cooked to perfection, and the orange chicken is just awesome. I threw in a side of perfect white rice to my very affordable 2 entree/one side $5.99 menu plate and it all hit the spot. With drink $8.85, not bad! The thing about this place is that there is nothing wrong with the food or service. It all tastes delicious and they know what they're doing. No need to go to fancy Chinese restaurants, just go to the mall and eat here!

Food was great! It was super fresh I recommend coming here and the only thing I didn’t like is the table the tables super dirty but the food was delicious!
Offers a variety of choices at a reasonable price. The plate was well-served and tasty.

What can I say? It's mall food. The portions are pretty decent for the price and the cashier was smiling the whole time. The server I think someone made her upset before we were there 😬. She was in a baaaad mood. Maybe because there a long line of customers and she was the only one serving

Ordered broccoli beef and I found just 2 small pieces of beef haha
Was suddenly put off by the girl standing on the counter, and not cleaning it afterwards. Not only that, the food was cold. I've worked in the food industry, back when I was in NYC. Worked for a pizza place and a Chinese restaurant. Both places made sure the food was hot when served- even if it came off a hot food bar. This will be the last time I ever come here.

The food tasted old and so did the drinks, kind of like the refrigerator taste when you don’t put a lid on stuff . Not very kid friendly as all the high chairs were being used to store wet floor signs. The ladies were nice though

My recent visit to Chinese Gourmet Express was nothing short of disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my frustrating experience. Hygiene concerns were alarmingly apparent, with staff members brazenly brushing their hair in the serving area right before their shifts. Additionally, the blatant disregard for proper hygiene practices, such as wearing the same gloves for handling money and serving food, was appalling. The lackluster service was epitomized by Mariana, whose indifference and lack of attention to customer needs added to the overall negative ambiance. It’s disheartening when a restaurant’s staff fails to create a welcoming environment for patrons. Chinese Gourmet Express needs to seriously reevaluate its standards and practices. A dining experience should be enjoyable, but my encounter here left a lasting impression for all the wrong reasons. I sincerely hope the management takes immediate action to address these issues and elevate the quality of service for future customers.
My family and I went in yesterday and I am scarred for life! I cannot stop thinking about what I saw with my own eyes. They have a window where you can see clearly into the kitchen right where you stand to order your food. Well, as we were ordering, we saw a guy in the back with NO gloves, handling tons of (my used to be favorite) orange noodles in the SINK, touching all over the sink. They were cooked already so not sure why he even had the noodles in the sink but he just kept “rinsing them” or doing something with them in the sink sliding all over with his bare hands then he would grab them with both hands and throw them in a pan. I nearly threw up and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. 🤮🤮 We were all disgusted! Not to mention how drastic their prices went up. They charged me $20 for their SMALL box of noodles ((we had already ordered them & I threw them right in the trash)) soooo beyond not worth it!!
Nasty food with nasty roaches to match the nasty staff and management! Will be reporting to health department!!!
what my family ordered: a kids bowl with orange chicken and noodles a kids bowl with fried rice a 2 entree plate with bourbon chicken, orange chicken and noodles what we got: a kids bowl with fried rice and three long hairs a 2 entree plate with freezing cold bourbon chicken and a chunk of breading coated in orange sauce the food here is mid at best. it's not worth your money, you're better off next door at hana teriyaki or across the way at chick-fil-a. not to mention the terrible service, everyone is rude and no one wears hair nets. take your money elsewhere!
Filthy place. All tables needed wiping off. Ceiling tiles caked with dust. Chicken I had was so hard, I couldn't eat it. Disgusting
My grandson's food had at least 3 hairs in it. Employee said it had to be returned right away. No one wears a hairnet. Kids meals advertised with a treat and a cookie(?). None given.
Mediocre food and overpriced combos. I noticed they didn’t give me enough fortune cookies for the kids, and asked for one more. The owner snapped at me saying I only bought 2 combos and he not get two cookies. I told her it’s for the kids and they shared a huge three entree combo and she said they’re .25c each. Never had anywhere charge extra for fortune cookies, and for the children at that. Won’t be returning.
I ate here today and service was good but the food, disgusting. The bourbon chicken or whatever it’s called was dry and nasty. The noodles were okay and the orange chicken was sweet. A few hours have passed and it’s not sitting well in my stomach. Not worth it, and it sucks since I’ve liked their noodles for some years.
Today around 2 pm December/20/2025 I ordered the orange chicken as I was eating it. I felt something squishy in my mouth. I took it out of my mouth and ended up being a cockroach started digging through my food, and there was cockroaches all over. Staff is very rude. I will be getting the health services involved I have pictures to prove my claim. It looks like the cockroaches were cooked with the orange chicken.
Worse food ever ! Cold & talk about skimping on the noodles ! Guy and girl kept talking flirting I guess and just paying attention to eachother. This is the worse most driest food I’ve tasted in El Paso . Avoid this place !
