Souper Salad El Paso Reviews
1st time here. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was clean and plenty of seating. Many fresh vegetables and choices.
Quaint, the salad ingredients are fresh and the soups are delicious. The staff maintains the restaurant nice and clean.
So much variety. Great salad fixings, delicious soups, ice cream, breads. The cornbread is delicious, tastes like what my mom used to make, not dry at all!
The exact kind of place I was looking for. A friend recommended it. It's very clean , great friendly people. Fresh vegetables and good variety of toppings. The soup was good as well. A good place for a great light meal. My new go to place.
Came all the way from California and had lunch here. This place is a heaven for Souplanation lovers (Sweet tomatoes). The food and options were not as great as Souplanation (we were spoiled) but we thoroughly enjoyed the food in Souper Salad. Plenty of vegetarian options. Great dine in and good environment. Will visit again if I go back to El Paso.
The place wasn't full so the wait time was short, and there's a lot of options for salads and more fruits and macaroni salads if you don't want to focus mainly on greens. The desert bar consists of fruits and pastries so there's enough for everyone to enjoy! And remember to tip your servers!!
My old review is below- decided in salad for dinner, and this is where we decided to go. They gave an amazing berry salad, and potato soup that is wonderful. Yum! It was ok. However, they were not taking care of the service line. Seems everything was mixed with everything else. Don't really think that is too clean. I also saw someone put things they dropped on the counter back in the food bowels.
The food is always good. The service is inconsistent.
Food was a good value. Wait person was attentive, but place was severely understaffed, so it was full of dirty tables, and salad items were not always replaced in a timely fashion.
The salad selection is fine. The salads are fresh enough for salad buffets. The other foods are not bad. It wasn’t too busy when I went so the staff seemed pleasant, and the service was adequate. The chicken soup was ok; wished the chicken was chunkier. The potato soup was way too salty. Didn’t try their ice cream. Not as good as Sweet Tomatoes in San Francisco Bay Area but the latter has all closed down unfortunately.
Went to go eat after my Mount Cristo Rey pilgrimage climb, and I had worked up quite an appetite, so this seemed appropriate. It was so good and satisfying, I surprised myself with how much I ate. The menu is pretty much in the name, Souper Salad, but that's not all. Don't the name fool you, the salad bar offers so much more than just a salad. It's more like salads, plural, any salad that comes to mind, they more than likely have it. That's only the beginning, there is a second bar that showcases the soup menu items. Temu have at the minimum of 4 piping hot and delicious kinds of different soups. This soup bar, of course, has all the amenities that you would love, but usually don't get, to complement your soup. I'm talking about bread, several types of bread, crackers, toppings and more. As if that's not enough, sweet dessert, whatever you are thinking as dessert, they more than likely have it. A few that come to mind are brownies, turnovers, pudding, ice cream & yogurt, and my personal favorite, strawberry shortcake. Just talking about it makes me crave it all over again. One last footnote, they also offer a mini taco bar, with all sorts of toppings and add one's, and nachos. Souper Salad, is a very delicious & nutritious spot to enjoy with others, however, since the last time I was there, the price has doubled. I was in shock, 😳 😲, but I guess it's all part of this thing called inflation. I would recommend you go in with a healthy appetite to make it worth that sticker price, but suggest you try it out for yourself, at least once.
Servers and cashiers were nice, but they charged me a credit card fee on a debit card, which is illegal.
All you can eat salad buffet with soups and desserts. We went close to opening, the vegetables for salads were frozen and randomly chopped and the melons had also been previously frozen and weren't good. The gal clearing plates and filling drinks was very friendly and attentive.
I'm sorry but it was a bit Dismal...not at all like it used to be...My Sister Raved about it..there were very few People in there..the Salad Bar more consisted of different lettuces... Oh!! And the Bill was very high!! For what I ask??
If you're going for salad then your in the right spot. The other products left lacking in flavor. While cold pasta is acceptable, it was unappetizing how cold it was. While trying the soup the flavor was ok but the size of the potatoes in the loaded potato soup were too big. The bread products were good and of course the soft serve ice cream was delicious.
Not very courteous, not much of a selection., especially for the price.. $19.58 for a senior plate… and I gave a reasonable tip.. most don’t tip at buffets… Probably never come back…. It’s gone down hill sense the last time I was here at Souper Salad on Viscount.
Ate there yesterday no spinach went to sit down had to ho to the very back because tables were dirty. Staff members were in front standing service was bad!
I have never been here it was a horrible experience they have 5 people working and not 1 said hi can I help you or ill be right with you....no acknowledgement at all I said excuse me can 1 of u please help me when you get A second they looked at me and still nothing I continued to stand there for a long while I could of walked out but I couldn't because my cousins were already eating.....never again these youngsters need more training.....
The service here is bad, cashier was rude, the waitresses are slow and allow plates to go pile up. Now the salad bar is decent, good selection (same size and variety as Golden Corral) The desserts are bland and flavorless, the soups are premade and taste like canned food, the “food items” are disgusting, 100% cheap quality frozen food. If you are attempting to eat “healthy” The salad bar is ok, none of their items are organic, GMO free or even 100% vegetarian if that’s what you are going for. There is far better buffets with better selection that have a large open salad bar. The only thing that was “decent” was the garlic sticks!
