I love Boon Chu, definitely my favorite Thai restaurant! I’ve been visiting this place for a few years now and I haven’t had a bad experience yet. There is limited seating inside, but I’ve never had an issue with it. The food is amazing. It’s everything I want when I’m craving Thai food. It’s also inexpensive and will not break the bank if you order a few dishes. The Thai tea and coffee is so refreshing and good, it’s really hard to get enough of it. Do yourself a favor and check this spot out!

cute, casual thai place with quality homey dishes. service is always friendly, quick and environment is cozy. tables are a bit tighter together bc of the space but if you keep things to a smaller party its great. i love their kaprow tilapia and fried dumplings. their pork and rice soup is also great. theres no restroom but if you live nearby its easy to remember to go beforehand, if traveling it would be great to stop off at the mall or other destination first

Bon Chuu has truly become one of my go-to restaurants over the past year. My wife and I come here often, and every visit has been a wonderful experience. The food is consistently amazing — our favorites are the Pad Thai, Pad Prik Beef, Chicken Rotti Curry, and of course the refreshing Thai Iced Tea. Each dish is packed with authentic flavor, perfectly seasoned, and served in generous portions. The balance of quality and price is unbeatable, which makes it even more enjoyable to return again and again. I also want to highlight the service. Kim is always warm, attentive, and welcoming. Their hospitality makes every meal feel special. Beyond the delicious food and excellent service, Bon Chuu has become part of many good memories in my everyday life. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s a place that makes you feel at home while enjoying incredible Thai cuisine. Highly recommended!

This is a great spot to get your Thai food craving fix. I’m a frequent visitor to Thailand and the food served here is super close to what you can get in Thailand. The pad Thai here is the best I’ve had in NYC. The mango sticky rice is fantastic. The service is quick and friendly. It’s just a small place and there isn’t a restroom. Overall a great place to eat!

Small spot but always hits the spot! A hidden gem in Queens! It’s a small restaurant, but it never disappoints. This has always been my go to spot whenever I’m craving delicious Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The flavors are authentic and satisfying every time. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

This is an affordable adorable small Thai restaurant with a lot of different options. The food is amazing here. The interior of the restaurant has this beautiful artistic wall paper and the waitresses are very attentive and kind. We got the chicken panag curry and the squid pad thai. They were both delicious.

My friend and I found this place by accident when we were a couple of blocks away and found out the restaurant we were going to visit had a 90 minute wait for a table. I am glad we ended up here. The service was spectacular and the food amazing. Great prices too. Seafood over rice for only $12.

Hidden gem alert in Elmhurst! If you haven’t been to Boon Chu Thai Place (83-18 Broadway), you’re seriously missing out on some of the most flavorful Thai food in NYC. Let’s talk about the Frog Legs in Basil—crispy, tender frog legs stir-fried with fresh basil and chili sauce, served with white rice. It’s bold, aromatic, and absolutely unforgettable. Don’t knock it till you try it—this dish is next level. Then there’s the B.B.Q. Beef—juicy marinated beef straight off the grill, packed with smoky flavor and perfectly paired with a spicy lime dipping sauce that kicks it up even more. You’ll be dipping everything in that sauce, trust me. And the Home Spring Rolls? Golden, crispy perfection. Fresh, crunchy, and super satisfying—these are some of the best spring rolls I’ve had in the borough. If you're in Queens, Boon Chu is a must. Come hungry, leave happy. #BoonChuThaiPlace #ElmhurstEats #QueensFoodie #ThaiFoodNYC #FrogLegsDoneRight #BBQBeefLovers #SpringRollGoals #FoodieInTheBigApple

If you’re craving real Thai flavors, BoonChu Thai Place is a must-visit! The crispy pork basil here is packed with heat and flavor—perfectly spicy and aromatic. The pork nam tok is another highlight, especially when paired with sticky rice. But the real star of the meal was the Thai fish cakes—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. What truly made our visit special was the lovely Thai server who took care of us with such warmth and thoughtful recommendations. Thank you so much—we’ll definitely be back!

Boon Chu is my go-to for delicious and affordable Thai food! This tiny spot can get busy, so be prepared for a potential wait. But trust me, it's worth it. I always get the Pad Kaprow with egg it's consistently amazing. Their Thai iced tea perfectly complements the spicy dishes. Feeling adventurous? Try the frog legs! They taste surprisingly like chicken. For budget friendly, authentic Thai flavors, Boon Chu is a winner.

Overall satisfied with this spot for when I’m craving Thai and want to be low key. I’ve had the dumplings(fried&steamed), Thai iced tea, a few variety’s of fried and over rice. Prices are lower compared to my neighborhood so the drive is worth it.

Since we got to know this place with my partner, we haven't stopped visiting it ☺️ The food is very delicious, excellent prices and service. The Ice Te Chai is Yummy and the mango sticky rice dessert can't be missed. Pad Thai is our favorite dish. The dumplings are perfect. Soups and rice. It's my favorite restaurant just a few minutes from my house 🥰

My favorite affordable Thai place since high school, I still go there now, and it’s been 8 years!! I always get same order, spicy drunken noodle with choice of meat and spicy basil fried rice!!!! They also have mango sticky rice which I crave time to time and it’s worth the price cause other place charge a lot! Def give it a try, sadly they don’t have bathroom, other than that service is good and so is the food too

Visited this place one Sunday with wife and aunt. This cozy resto has 5 convertible table seating for single, couple or group of 12. They have plenty of mouth watering thai specific menu selections from starters, soups, main dishes, desserts & drinks. Excellent freshness of food served and ideal food portions. Godd customer service. Parking along Broadway Street and neighboring streets. Will highly recommend! $$

My mom and I were getting our hair done in the area and we're both starving after so we came in for a quick meal. We were both surprised at how cheap this place was with rice or noodle dishes only around $10 and appetizers are less than $10. Portion size is on the smaller end but is perfectly filling for me. The space is a bit small but they managed to squeeze 4-5 tables in. The tables are pretty small so when we ordered 4 dishes (again we're hungry) we had to move another table to fit all the plates. Luckily the place wasn't too busy but definitely started picking up with diners and to go orders by the time we left. Will def be back for a quick, cheap eats!

Great food, great service. What more can you ask for? The Thai Ice teas are A+. Prices are very reasonable. If you're thinking of going here. There's not much else I can say; it is definitely worth trying. In my opinion, you will not be disappointed.

What a solid spot to get Thai food. Portions are adequate, not big. Flavors are layered, complex, bold, and often with a subtle hint of spiciness. The atmosphere reminisces of the street hawker that you would find in Bangkok: small chairs, no public bathroom, friendly faces. To sum it up, it's simply good spicy food. The only complaint I have is that sometimes their Pad See Ew could be a little on the greasy side.

Very small place but clean. Food was DELICIOUS. We ordered red curry, spicy but tasty, it came with a lot of bamboo shoot which is very good for me. Pad Thai, the texture just perfect and taste was very yummy. Thai Fried Chicken come with 5 pieces, meat was tender, crispy and juicy, not spicy, I think you will like it. I definitely will go back.

This place makes a valiant effort for bringing Thai flavors to a value-oriented lunch place, but some things detract from the experience. I went with a Thai national and he had the papaya salad, saying it tasted nothing like it should and left out key ingredients such as fish sauce. I had the basil chicken over rice, and there was a LOT more rice than chicken. The chicken had a weird fish sauce flavor, which should’ve been in the papaya salad, not the chicken. The prices seemed good on the menu, but the portions were small. The best dish tried was the chive pancake, which was an appetizer costing $9. Finally, it was dinner time but only one waitress was to be found, so when other customers came in, service slowed. As a lunch place, Boon Chico’s a better option if you’re nearby and you’re tired of the Chinese places nearby. For dinner, pass.

Went here for the first time on sunday, and portions are very small and rice was a lot. the ratio just doesnt work. and the server was just behind the counter at all times, never checked on us . have to yell “excuse me” just to get a water refill from her. AND im pretty sure the food are not fresh. as in it has been sitting out and refried bcs it tasted like it and then the day after that i got food poisoning.

This used to be my go-to Thai spot, I’d order pickup, delivery, and even eat in sometimes (it’s a small place with just a few tables). But one day I got rice that was half full and dry (see image), like it had been sitting out. The flavor was just okay, and I feel its not as good anymore and that kind of ruined it for me. I won’t be ordering from here again.
