Dek Sen Elmhurst Reviews
Very close to the real thing and a great upgrade from previous Thai restaurant(s) at this location. Great taste, good portions and great service. Prices are pretty much the same or similar to other Thai restaurants. Inside it’s clean and bright. Well worth it! Go!
The food was outstanding! And the service was spectacular. Very friendly faces as soon as we walked in. The Pad Se Ew is the best I’ve ever had. Thai Iced Tea was 👌👌👌 and the Pineapple Fried Rice was also delicious! I usually don’t have cashews and raisins in this dish but I’m happy I tried it! We will def be back!
This food was absolutely delicious you can tell everything is made from scratch. Yum yum yum! It was our first time coming and we had the pad Thai, the golden trio, the khao Soi crispy duck and a hot and sour soup. 🍜 Also we had the thai iced coffee to drink. Everything was truly a 10/10 and the service was wonderful. Will definitely be coming back.
Don't let the outside fool you... there's a reason they are 5 star rated. The food and service is phenomenal! I ordered the Pad Kra Pao... Chicken however they also offer this dish with Pork Belly. The flavors and presentation were amazing...can't say enough good things about this dining experience. FYI...they can seat approximately 52 people. Last note...I finished lunch around 2pm and the chefs came out to enjoy their own lunch...amazing people who are passionate about cooking!
My boyfriend and I are in town for the weekend. He chose this place because he wanted some Thai food and it had 5 stars. Well, I understand why it has 5 stars..... the food is so good! We enjoyed our selections and would definitely eat here again.
Happened across I AM Thai and we are so happy we did. The food was delicious including the Mango Sticky Rice and mangoes aren’t even in season right now. The service really stole the show. The server who is also the owner was kind, answered all of our questions and made great recommendations. From appetizers to noodles to rice dishes, everything was cooked to order with fresh ingredients. You know how you can tell, right? Plus? It’s super cute in the restaurant. Modern, clean, and chic.
I had the chicken Pad Thai and a spring roll. The food was savory and absolutely delicious, with beautiful presentation. The restaurant was nicely designed, and the server was very hospitable.
This place opened less than a week ago, wanted to show them some love! Food was delicious and fresh, we got the chicken khao soi and the massaman curry— both were great, but I think the curry was my favorite. Thick, sweet and spicy! The thai iced teas were huge and perfectly brewed, not TOO sweet, and well priced at $5 Happy to have this place in town. Service was great, everything was brought out quickly, and they even brought us a few complimentary nibbles as a kindness.
Nothing like a big bowl of soup on a cold blustery day! First time here and I knew it was going to be good as soon as I opened the door and smelled the aroma of a good kitchen. Ordered the shrimp pho (large shrimp) which had a flavorful broth that I spiced up with the selection of chili’s that accompanied it. The soup also came with a fresh side salad topped with crushed peanuts in a sweet tangy dressing and as a coffee lover, the Thai iced coffee which was deeelicious! The restroom was clean, the service was welcoming and I’m happy to have discovered it.
This is a new restaurant in the area, but the food is amazing. It's very delicious. They have a wide variety of dishes, and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend everyone to give it a try. I guarantee you'll be impressed.👍👍
Had a great experience with my take out from here. The spring rolls were impeccable. The fried rice was very delicious. Good prices, large portions, great food. Will definitely be ordering from here again.
By far THE BEST Thai food you'll find in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. I enjoy their food so much that I find reasons to eat there almost daily. Unique flavors, fresh food, whole menu is great but I would highly recommend you try their Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles). If you're up for Thai food and haven't check out this place - do it, you'll love it.
Great food . Everything is good . We had the pineapple chicken fried rice ... A pad Thai.. both very good .. the spring rolls are very good with the peanut sauce ..
Dined on the second day of new ownership. This is a second location for them, so they are experienced. The food was fantastic. Best drunken noodles I’ve ever had. The owners are on site serving and cooking. Highly recommend!
We did not eat inside so I really can't comment on the atmosphere and my boyfriend went in to pick up her order the food is phenomenal the tiger cried fried rice is the bomb the green tea I'm addicted better than anything at Starbucks
Very good place, alot of flavors definitely would recommend. Be careful big portion dont over order
As soon as you walk in you’re greeted and allowed to sit anywhere. Had a great attentive server and when the food arrived…OMG, great flavor to everything! Definitely a place to keep in rotation; loved it.
This is one of the best meals we have ever had and the chef clearly knows her stuff and her salads we can’t wait to go back .

This is our first visit to I Am Thai. Wow!!! We will be back again. Excellent food and service. We tried the Drunken Noodles with Shrimp, Crispy Duck and the Ginger Stir Fry with Beef. All were very tasty and came in large portions. You can also specify heat levels to taste. The service was wonderful. Highly recommended.
We just ate at I am Thai for the first time, and found out it just recently opened. All our food was excellent, fresh and with good flavors. We had edamame and spring rolls and two entrees, pad see ewe and basil chicken. Service was efficient. Nice vibe to the place. Highly recommend.
We were in search of a change of pace from our usual Thai choices and chose this one. Had to venture a few suburbs over but loved all of it. While the restaurant just opened 2 months ago, the owners are not new to the business and the flavors in every dish and the welcoming vibe reflect that.
Excellent new Thai restaurant. We have done both lunch and dinner now. They have something for everyone. Rice, noodles, curry, stir fries, soups. They range from no spice to Thai spicy. We have really enjoyed everything we've tried. We like them better than the previous Thai occupants. Give them a try, this restaurant should stick around.
Been looking for a good Thai food restaurant and I believe I've found it. Everything I tried was delicious and left me wanting more. The polite service was very good and the prices are descent also. Definitely will return and try out some more of the items on the menu.
