Oggi's Pizza Encinitas Reviews
One of few places that I come to for sports events and for fantasy league drafts. The pizza is great and filling as well as the wings. They have great craft beer on tap and happy hour has good deals on whatever drafts. It can get crowded for football games so plan according to get there early if you want a seat at the bar or a table.
I've had the privilege of visiting every Oggis in San Diego County and I must say while the size of locations vary, your quality of food and service does not. 5/5 stars for them all. This franchise makes sure you're being delivered consistent quality with fantastic care. Please go here and try them out. They have daily specials, free parking, event specials as well! You won't be sorry!
Excellent place. Pizza was delicious, and the Stout was great. Our server was attentive and hot. Definitely a great place and recommend to all.
Great service! Food was delicious... actually we had the pizza and a cut up Italian salad with those great bread knots....that was incredible! Will definitely go back and highly recommend!
Had a great visit here celebrating my daughter's birthday! Hunter was one of the most pleasant and accommodating servers I have ever had. Just a wonderful personality. Also, the pizzas were quite tasty. Only downside was two male mgmt or probably lead personnel were arguing next to our table and didn't seem to care or realize that they were doing it in guests view. They should know better. Overall, recommend this place to anyone.
The beyond burger wrapped in lettuce, dripped with ranch was absolutely delightful. The fries were cooked to perfection. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The wait staff was extremely accommodating and attentive. Highly recommended
Oggi's is so good, they don't need anymore reviews!! My kids love it, every time. We got the Wimbledon (veggies galore!), regular and gluten free version, and it was delicious 😋 wings and quinoa salad and we were so satisfied. If you are in town, you gotta go!
Amazing place and healthier option. Fries food in Tallow and uses EVOO in pizza dough. Great food all around
Big menu with a large drink selection, lots of seating to choose from, has games, clean bathroom, and the orders came out quickly! Only thing it lacked was nutritional information- none on the menus and not available on their website
We arrived just under an hour before closure and the service was second to none. We had a medium vegan pizza (no cheese) loaded high with delicious freshly cooked veg, a medium meaty pizza and a large “Oggi’s Special”. The photos do not do it justice, they were all delicious and BIG. We also had a couple of cocktails (margarita and an old fashion), both perfectly balanced. The waiters were super nice and professional. We weren’t in for the sports on tv so ignored the background entertainment, and we very much enjoyed our meal out.
Best pizza, sticks and beef talo fries!! No seed oils too.
My husband, son and I came here for dinner and everything was amazing. The customer service was great. The food came out super fast and it was exactly what we ordered how we ordered it. Every time a server walked passed our table, they checked on us even if they were not the ones serving us. We will for sure come back
I love love this place. I love the atmosphere, the people, waitress, hostess. My favorite beer is Torrey Pines, I sometimes just come for a beer. I enjoy happy hours, it’s always busy. Everyone is so friendly. CAIO
Decent prices, great for families/ kids, they have an arcade. Food was good staff was friendly, beer was cold
Very good place to eat and have a Artisian local beer, not an expensive restaurant, family will enjoy it

We come frequently after choir practice on Wednesdays and have been coming for years. Everyone is absolutely lovely. We have lived in Leucadia since the 80’s & Oggie’s has has been a staple since they opened in the 90’s. We love the Brussel sprouts, the fried zucchini, the wings are better than the best wing places, & we usually do the thin crust pizza with roasted garlic, pepperoni & sometimes jalapeños. Thank you for all of the good food for all these years! Shout out to Miguel & Ashley!
***5 Stars Across The Board*** Oggi’s in Encinitas has quickly become one of my favorite go-to spots. The food is consistently delicious — from their perfectly crisp pizzas to their flavorful wings and craft beer selections, everything on the menu hits the mark. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff is friendly and attentive, and I have to give a special shoutout to Felipe. He goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. His professionalism and positive energy really add to the dining experience. If you’re looking for a casual spot with great food and top-notch service, Oggi’s in Encinitas is absolutely worth a visit. Ask for Felipe — you won’t be disappointed. ***Outstanding Food and Great Service***
If you haven’t been to Oggi’s in a while, I would highly recommend giving it a try! They recently switched to cooking without seed oils and now offer frying in tallow and avocado oil instead! They make almost all their huge menu from scratch and the quality is top notch. Really love seeing restaurants switching over to healthier ingredients like they did and it’s always a fun spot for the whole family!
This is a great place. I was a bit worried, based on older reviews, but everything was great. From the quality of the food to the fast and friendly service, it was a very pleasant experience.
We ordered two pizzas, and they were perfectly prepared — fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The restaurant was spotless, and the service was outstanding—definitely better than most places we’ve been to. The waitress was polite, attentive, and made sure everything came exactly as ordered. This was our second visit to Oggi’s, and we’ve decided it’s a must-stop whenever we’re in Encinitas. Highly recommended!

I've sampled many of their pizzas over the years from plain cheese pizzas to some of their more specialty combinations. I have enjoyed the majority of them, although being an ex New Yorker I am picky about my toppings. For Southern California I think they make a very good pie.
My daughter and I were visiting from Kentucky and we found this little gem. Colton was our server and he was absolutely fantastic! Food was great and we ended up eating there several times in the week we were there. I can’t wait to go back and visit again and this place will definitely be on our list of restaurants to return to.
Typical sports bar. Loads of tv's playing several different sports. A tiny arcade area. Service was good, the blender was not working but they were than happy to provide anything that didn't need blending. My hubby's drink was not great but they took it back gave him something totally different no charge on the 1st drink. Food was normal for a sports bar. Really good bread sticks & wings. And they provide gluten free stuff.
Great short rib nachos and jalapeño cheese. Good beer selection. Tons of TV’s to watch multiple games. The arcade was a bit loud and obnoxious with tons of kids yelling and running through the isles with no supervision….

Oggi's has good food but they make their waitresses wear low-cut tank tops. I witnessed a guy at the bar, who must've known the waitress pull her to his side and hold her as they talked, it looked very uncomfortable. Hopefully, management can address their work ethics and be more considerate of their women employees.
I always wanted to try this place the commercials always make it look like such a dope spot to watch games. Today I was able to give it a good and our server seemed to not really care we were even there I don't want to say it was because were black but 🤷🏽 it felt like the Hispanic bus boy played us more attention. We order like $90 worth of food the pineapple haberno wings were so dry no sauce and over cooked. The pizza tri pepperoni was pretty good but that was really the only OK thing about this place. Trash
Was there about 6 weeks ago and have never been treated so poorly or had such tasteless food at any Oggis I’ve ever visited. The bartender waited on our table as we sat near the front door, and he treated us with disgust and distain.. like he was doing us a favor to serve us. The food was horrible as well as the wings were burnt and the pizza had very little cheese on it. I will never eat there again and I suggest anyone who does choose to give these ppl some business, to not expect much because you’ll be terribly disappointed.
Three attempts to order a simple neat whiskey. Ordered boneless wings. Received bone in. We ordered three items and one drink each. We were double charged on the bill for one item. Service and quality not up to par with other Oggis I have visited.
First timer. They serve a decent Happy Hour the food is common fare. Cavernous spot more suited to family than a spot to bring friends for a afternoon out. The AC was turned way up and too cold. Ask for them to turn down not interested in making me happy. I can deal with that but not the poor service and mediocre food. For the price, take a drive and head to Coast Hway and spent you hard earned cash with one of the many excellent pizza beer places there.
I wish I could love Oggi's Encinitas b/c I really like sports bars and I appreciate their efforts to have so many vegetarian options. But my co-workers are correct--this place is unsanitary and not managed properly. There was a large visible chunk of someone else's food on my soda glass straight from the kitchen. Not fresh food, but something that really looked like trash or had at least been through the dishwasher. And then my veggie burger had a sideways toothpick INSIDE of the sandwich, which could have really hurt me if I wasn't chewing carefully. The waitress was very nice and discounted my bill, but the experience, along with the bad smell from the old carpeting, makes me have to agree with my co-workers. Oggi's is a no-go until they make changes. (On a positive note, the veggie burger did taste quite good.)
What has happened to this place ? I’ve always liked their pizza . My last few restaurant visits, the pizza was good .. but the cleanliness of this place makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is . The booths, carpets and bathroom are all filthy. If this is a franchise, where are their standards? Tonight topped it off , I had ordered for delivery. The pizza never arrived, I received a call from the restaurant two hours after I ordered letting me know that they had made a mistake and if I still wanted the pizza . Why would I want to pick up a pizza that’s been sitting out for two hours ?
The food at this place is great. However, there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to customer service. During a recent visit for a pickup order which was today around 1pm, I arrived and no one was at the front desk. I could hear several employees behind the wall, laughing and chatting and none of it work-related. After waiting for a while and even stepping into the bathroom, I came back and still no one was available to assist me. I eventually walked closer to the kitchen area, and a young brunette girl employee came out and responded to me in a very rude manner. It was disappointing to be treated that way as a customer. I hope the management can work on improving the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff to match the quality of their food.
I was really looking forward to coming back to Oggi's, but the chix tortilla soup was basically a salt lick, I'm not sure there was chix in it, and the presentation was nothing like the last time we ate here. So very disappointed!
I don't know if we had a bad server or if the kitchen was way behind, but we got completely forgot about for 30 minutes when there was only about 8 occupied tables in the whole restaurant. The pizza was room temperature when we got it and it came out before the salad we ordered. I had to go up and ask for the items we ordered two separate times, our check also. It was a very frustrating experience. However the staff was very friendly and somewhat apologetic.

Horrible service, experience, and everything. My dad ordered a Pizza and I ordered a burger. Took almost 2 hours. They didn't give me the burger I asked for, and they gave my dad's pizza to the wrong table. Then the second time they gave it to us, they gave my dad a cheese pizza instead of an oggi's special. Understaffed and rude. Would not recommend.
On a slow Sunday night, my wife and baby and our 4 friends say at a table for over 30 minutes. One of the servers finally came over and said he would send our server over. We waited for another ten minutes and then saw all of the servers and manger standing in the back talking and laughing amongst themselves. We waited for about 45 mins before we walked out. On the way out I over heard the take behind us ask for separate checks and the server tell them he couldn't do that. With all of the other places around this area I wouldn't waste your time at this Oggi's. The staff is trash abd from what I could tell very rude.
I loved this place until I saw the new prices. I couldn't believe it! A small pizza that has 4 slices is now almost $18. A full Chicken Ceasar salad is now $19.50?! When it was $15. Other oggies are still the same price except this one. I'm sorry, but the way you let people allow their kids to run around the tables without shoes on is ridiculous. I sit there and watch the parents watch their kids just run around, run into people and the staff. To me, the prices are not worth watching people let their kids runs rampant. That's why you have an arcade area.
Had the pizza and fries and it was below average at best with way too much cheese and the fries tasted weird. So many better places out there.
I went tonight with my partner and was ignored for 40 minutes! I’ve been here a handful of times and the service was not the best as it is, but today really took the cake! I asked for a table for 2, was walked over to a table with one chair, I saw a booth open up and requested it (I didn’t mind waiting a bit for the cleaning staff). Before I could sit a waiter (tall skinny guy) bumped me to get past me instead of asking me to move aside. Then my partner and I get ignored. We asked said “excuse me” to a staff member (same skinny guy) and he completely ignored us. Super friendly to the table next to us though. Never again. We walked.
Service was fine. Food tasted fine. Only problem was the horrific stomach convulsions, cramping, cold sweat and explosive emissions from both ends about an hour later. Food poisoning I am sure. I would not recommend. I think their hygiene plan may not be strictly adhered to. Anyway, that’s my experience. Never again.
My first visit to Oggi. We were seated at a table, where the area was dirty. Waited 20 minutes, and no service. Watched another table get their water and drinks. This was enough, so we got up and left. Plenty of families and Monday night footballers.
Great food, horrible service. Went during happy hour and ordered the buffalo slider. Plate comes out with 3. Check comes and I'm charged twice for the one item. We flag down our server, and he goes, "oh I was gonna tell you, when I put in the order, the kitchen made the full entree, not the happy hour slider which is one. So I charged you twice instead of the full $15 for the regular entree" First of all, we ordered one and therefore it's not on us to pay more when you gave us the wrong order. Second, he never actually said anything to us until we saw the wrong charge and had to flag him down. Plus, he didn't give me a pen to sign the check?? I don't understand how it's hard to do the bare minimum. Safe to say, I won't be coming back to this location.
God awful cardboard tasting dough flavorless so called pizza. Hopefully they run out of business and make room for a decent restaurant!. The manager could only provide a simple apology and good bye good luck in the bathroom.. The restaurant is old dingy a d dark. They like it this way to prevent you from seeing your food. The beer tasted like weed bomb water. This place is freaking disgusting!
The review starts with Michael D is the worst non-attentive server of the San Diego County/ As a top 5% google guide I have a pretty good baseline. Timing of the food, over a 20 minute period we were served our orders. We thought our sons order was missed as he was into the second slice of pizza from parents order. Auntie was done eating by the time his order showed. You almost forgot to ask how we were doing. We lied, by then it was too late and we thought you had forgotten us. We needed more beverages and condiments and you never came by. We asked another sever and nothing showed up per our request. As LEGO land season ticket family we won’t be back and will happily find your competition and have a better experience. I normally have 3+ pints and only had one since you never asked. Bummer I come for the beer here!
Bad food, bad service, bad franchise. The encinitas Oggi’s is dark, windows filled with live gross Flies in the bar windows. We were seated in the bar, the restaurant dining room was empty at 5:30, I guess we found out why. Took a good 15 minutes before a server came to our table- I sent hubby to the bartender to at least get us drinks until a server arrived to our table. Greasy bad bar food, no service and really gross tables, windows and surroundings. We parked in the parking lot and in the brushes in their back parking lot, swear drug deals were going down with teens- no joke!
My parents had lunch there on Monday. They had a good experience, so they made a reservation on their way out for this evening, in celebration of their 59th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, they had no record of our reservation for 10 people. That should have been an omen. We were seated after a 5 minute wait. The place was busy and clearly understaffed. The servers were in continuous motion. Our drink order was taken in a reasonable time, but we didn't see our waiter for another 20 minutes. She apologized when she finally took our order. We didn't see her again until our meal was completed. It took about another 40 minutes to start getting our food, which arrived over a 10 minute interval. I had to go into the kitchen and spoon my own ketchup and ranch dressing for my wife. My father had to go into the kitchen to get parmesan and pepper for his pizza. I returned to the kitchen, as though I were a server, to retrieve my niece's order of fried pickels. We tried ordering a drink from a person who brought our food, but he said we had to order from our server. We were never able to order that drink. The food was poor (mac n' cheese, fried pickels, pineapple pizza) to good (magarita pizza, salad). We should have at least recieved an "I survived Oggi's" T-shirts on our way out.
We ordered their cookie to go and got back to our hotel room and the cookie looked like it had been set out for days it was rock hard, burnt, already falling apart and smelt bad

I’m really disappointed with the sanitation standards at this restaurant. When I used the women’s restroom, there was no hand soap available at all — the dispenser was completely bone dry. On top of that, the bathroom had a strong, unpleasant odor, reminiscent of period blood, which made the experience even worse. I informed the hostess, and instead of addressing the issue, she casually told me to use hand sanitizer. That response honestly made me more concerned. If there’s no soap for customers, are employees washing their hands properly before handling food? This isn’t a small oversight — basic hygiene should never be optional, especially in a food establishment. I ended up losing my appetite and left feeling uneasy about the cleanliness behind the scenes. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their sanitation protocols.
Ordered a full Cobb salad. Did not get one, but was charged for it. Just got lettuce, chopped tomato bits, some chopped ham bits (?), and a small handful of mozzarella cheeses bits. Will not order from them again. Fraud!
