Metro Diner

Another solid location for Metro diner. I have really good food. I do wish they offered either a combo edition option or something when you get waffle. This location being new to Southern Indiana as expected there was about a 20 minute wait to get a table. Our waitress was very apologetic because when they set us they also set her a larger table. We didn't mind and understood but she was really nice about it. Pretty simple breakfasts combo plate and I really like their pancakes. Chicken noodle soup was good as well. Only drawback to this location is it's fairly cramped due to smaller size. Little bit of waiting area in the front doesn't accommodate many people. Most likely won't be such an issue once traffic dies down from it being new but still not comfortable having to be so close to that many people while you're waiting for a table

Service always friendly and working as a team. Food is fast, tasty and filling. Once the whole Evansville new restaurant rush calms down this will be a great place to stop anytime. Until then try going at odd times to avoid crowds. Don’t turn down a counter seat. The kitchen staff is fun to watch and they’ll answer questions when they can.

Sat at the counter and really enjoyed the show. It was our first time and we’re really impressed all the way around. Saw lots of items that we’ll definitely come back to try. Elsie was super nice and everyone working around us were super personal and engaging.

Excellent food and large portions. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I ordered the chicken and waffles with strawberry butter and spicy syrup on the side. It comes with a full size Belgian Waffle and half a fried chicken. This is easily enough for 2 complete meals. Our server Lyric was the best!! She was super attentive and took the time to answer all my questions. Lyric made the spicy syrup table side 😉 Will definitely be back!!

First time at Metro Diner and it did not disappoint! The diner was clean and inviting, and our waitress Kelsey was so kind and friendly. She recommended the croissant French toast and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely glad we tried it. Not to mention budget friendly! I can’t wait to come back and try lunch or dinner next time! 😊

Kyle has been our server the past 3 visits and he has been awesome! Very attentive and kind. Food has been excellent every visit (this is our 4th). Metro has turned into our after-gym restaurant of choice! Highly recommend checking them out! And when you do, you should request Kyle! Open kitchen so you can feel confident about your food preparations. Bathrooms and overall store has been clean and free of debris. Breakfast served all day, with daily specials on their blackboard in the back.

Excellent service and delicious food! The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable to enjoy dining in. My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch there. Our waitress Taylor was very kind and done a great job. The food was tasty with every bite and will definitely make you go back for more! The pancakes were delicious, fluffy, and of generous portion. The ribs were exceptionally tender, falling off the bone along with tasty chicken tenders. They have a great menu with nice variety of options to choose from of breakfast foods and lunch/dinner items.

The place looks amazing, very busy but didn’t wait to be seated, Trinity our server was very sweet, knowledgeable and made great suggestions.. onions rings were amazing very fat and house made ranch dressing bottle it and sale it please! Shepherds pie was amazing and so was my sausage gravy chicken tenders with stuffing waffle! Will be back! Keep up the great work!

Kadence D. was our server today. He was very nice, polite and attentive. The entire staff was very welcoming on their opening day. We had The Huevos Rancheros, Croissant French Toast and The Fried Chicken Benedict. Everything was delicious and nice sized portions. The mimosa flight was great, too. Continue doing what your doing Kadence, we will definitely be back!

Being a new place, I knew that it would be crowded, but I was seated immediately despite the busyness of the morning. I ordered the avocado toast because I wanted something light and it was the best avocado toast I've ever had.I know most places have to work out some kinks when they first open, but this team was flowing like they've been together for a while. Great first experience. I will definitely return.

Really enjoyed our Sunday brunch at Evansville’s newest diner. Our waitress, Lyric, was so pleasant and attentive with info on the daily specials, coffee and soda refills, and making sure our orders were perfect. Enjoyed the Bissell breakfast (lots of food) and the Fruity Waffle—both just right on a cold morning. So many options to choose from—can’t wait to try those soon!

We stopped in for dinner. Our server, Adasha was so nice and welcoming. She made sure we always had full glasses and if everything was to our liking. We had chicken pot pie and Iron City meatloaf! Yummy!

Very good food and absolutely affordable. Tasted real fresh. Season fries were peak Rally's flavor. Omelette eggs were very fluffy. Super fast service .

Finally got to try this place for breakfast. Excellent service & clean! I got the protein plate(2 eggs, 3 meats)and a small stack(I shouldn't have, but it's the weekend & they have sugar free syrup). Hubby got the 3 egg breakfast and a side of Biscuits and gravy. He got sweet tea and I got coffee. Their coffee is delicious! My eggs were scrambled deliciously. Bacon is delicious! The sausage patties were thin, but meaty. They did taste a bit off *like turkey sausage* but still pretty good. The pancakes were good in flavor, but the texture was a bit glutinous (over mixed). We may be back to try something different(that fried chicken looks incredible!), BUT it was $50 for breakfast. A wee bit more than I would normally pay for breakfast. Those with children especially babies, VERY NOISY with music and chatter. It's worth trying, but try to stay away from adding a'la carte.

We ate here because I wanted to try the Shepherds Pie. I usually love it but for some reason this just had no taste to me. Luckily server said if I didn’t like it, she would replace it so I ordered the chicken pot pie. It was one of the best I’ve had. My wife had fish and chips dnd liked it. I will definitely return to eat here again.

Customer service was great, but they should hire new cooks! Everything we had was disgusting. Grits and toast didn’t appear to be burnt but had a burnt taste. My sprite was good though! Omelette had no flavor besides the cheese. Salt and pepper didn’t even help.
