A nice dim lit dining area multiple tables big enough for bigger parties or individuals. This is an order off the menu not buffet everything is made to order and special. The food is very good and tasty. The servers were very helpful choosing the meal for each of us. Well worth the dining experience.

Pretty authentic food for Evansville. Good can be a little oily compared to real Chinese food. Portions are quite big and price is reasonable. Restaurant is a bit old and shabby which can be a bit off putting but seems food preparation is within code (no issues). Good option if you want more traditional Chinese or even western Chinese.

Nice place to grab some chinese takeout, order was ready in less than 20 minutes, and food was kept hot. The sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoons, and egg rolls were delicious. Price was a bit more expensive than I expected.

Very good food very good service the air condition needed to be a little cooler but very nice people the food was excellent we enjoyed it very much the portions of food were much more than we could eat we had to take a lot home I would recommend it to anyone that likes authentic Chinese food. Went back 2 weeks later air condition was working great Food is wonderful and service was wonderful always nice people that work there really make you feel welcome we'll go back again and again. crab rangoon is so good all the food is always hot and very clean dining room. You can always count on a good experience at this restaurant

3 stars about sums it up. Food tasted good, but we were all sick to our stomachs for 2-3 days. We dined in and the place is falling apart. They severely need a handyman to fix a bunch of stuff that's just barely hanging on. Their bathroom was one of the worst I've ever experienced. My wife is Chinese and wasn't impressed with the food overall.

The fried chicken was cooked to death, making it dry and tough. This is a common issue with Chinese restaurants, and unfortunately Jimmy Gao’s is no different. The sauces were tasty, and the tofu dishes were good. The rice was a little raw and crunchy. Update: I had the misfortune of eating here again. The beef was over cooked and inedible. They did refund my order, which was nice.

The food looked good, but was very bland and oily. I have no idea why this place has such good reviews unless they were having a really off day. The person with me had a similar experience. Wait staff was very nice.

First time I've tried, got an order of dumplings to go... Have never had them packed in the same container as the sauce. They were nothing but way too spicy mush. I threw it away. The spring rolls were a little chewy, the filling was average. Ate one out of two so I wouldn't starve for dinner. Will not be back🤷🏻‍♀️

I had forgotten why I didn’t order here again. It’s been a few months, but I used Uber eats and quickly remembered once it arrived. The noodles are flavorless and soggy and honestly just taste like they were boiled in water and veggies. The cashew chicken was the same. Flavorless, but had a strong chickeny taste to it. Probably due to lack of seasoning. I soaked it in soy sauce. The cashew chicken was more onion, pepper and mushroom than anything. The egg rolls were the only thing I’d eat again. They were amazing. Not sure if it was the noodles or cashew chicken, but one of them left a lasting bad taste in my mouth to where I might literally vomit.

We got everything we ordered, but it took forever, and everything tastes terrible. The fried rice is the most bland food I've ever had, and they didn't include any sauces. Ordered the orange chicken as well, and it actually tastes absolutely nothing like citrus or chicken. I'd almost throw this all in the trash. I can't believe I paid for this.

The fried rice taste just like white rice with frozen vegetables, with a splash of coloring. I had the beef and beans with the sauce on the side. The beef was cooked nicely and the green beans weren't bad. But that isn't enough to make me consider going back when I can get better fried rice and food from other restaurants. The service was good.

Picked up a Togo order through the drive through and received raw chicken. When calling for a refund they told me “it comes half way cooked there’s no way it’s raw” they also said the manager would be in contact with me within the hour and haven’t heard. 0/10 would suggest eating at this dump.
