Rustic Taco Fairport Reviews
Brought my 3-year-old here. Tacos were amazing! She ate nothing but gave the air a 10/10. Would recommend!
Wanted something different as we don't come out to Fairport often and sounded good. We were not disappointed! Thursday is Taco Flight day, 4 mini tacos for $16. We were able to try interesting things we wouldn't normally order and loved every bite! Their kids menu was very reasonably priced and our 3 year old loved his quesadilla. Chips were deliciously salty and salsa was excellent! We will definitely come back!
Cozy spot tucked under the building. Easy to talk with friends - not too loud. Affordable food with outstanding fresh flavor. I enjoyed Ahi Tuna bowl. Partner had cheeseburger taco and specialty bourbon taco. Excellent flavor. Looking forward to next visit!
We were out catching up with a friend enjoying some ice cream and a walk on the canal. We didn’t plan for dinner but we got hungry. Since we have our golden doodle with us, it was tricky to find a dog-friendly place to eat. Luckily, Rustic Tacos came through in the best was possible. Even before my wife said anything, the hostess noticed us waiting outside with our pup and immediately offered us a spot on the patio. A+ for being so thoughtful and welcoming. We ordered drinks - refreshing and spot on, some appetizers and of course, tacos. Everything was flavorful, fresh and delicious. Despite the patio being packed, our server was attentive, friendly and gave us outstanding service. Overall, we had a fantastic experience - great food, great service and a dog-friendly vibe that made us felt welcome. Highly recommend and we’re looking forward to coming back with our pup!
My friend and I met here around 5pm on a Thursday, they had outside seating and plenty of tables we did not make a reservation. By the time we left around 6:30/7pm almost every table was full. Our server was amazing! Very attentive. They bring our chips and salsa with a carafe of water and two glasses. They also have all condiments silverware and napkins on the table already. We got the beer cheese dip which was so good. I also did the taco special where you get four mini tacos. My friend got two regular tacos. Everything was so good. We some how had room for desert and that was amazing too! We got a pitcher of hot honey peach margs and they were good. I think I will try the flight next time. I can't wait to go back! The online menu varies slightly from the restaurant menu but everything was great!
Good luck choosing just one of their delicious tacos; take my advice and get the flight! Unique flavor combinations are what make this place so special. The relaxed atmosphere and great music further enhance the experience, making Rustic Taco an excellent choice for a night out on the town.
Came in for a quick lunch with a friend. Food was a surprise of modern fusion tacos- all well done. I'd say 2 specialty tacos makes for a satisfying meal. Hospitality at the bar was great, so compliments to the bartender that served me. 2 tacos is $10-$20, but I got 2 drinks, so $20-30 for me during this visit.
Small fun lunch spot off lake ave near the water. They have a wide variety of specialty tacos and the ones we tried were top notch. The chicken on the triple B was cooked to perfection. All the sauces are made in house. It’s clear the chips and salsa are as well as they are excellent. Salsa is very fresh and the chips have the perfect level of salt. We were not a fan of the appetizer it just didn’t have the same flavor level of everything else. Will definitely return!
Outstanding food!! 🔥🔥 We will be back for sure and would recommend that you give them a shot! Owner operated and you can tell the food is made with heart! I like the box it’s served in because it’s simple and it’s a perfect to go box. Later that day a guy said to me is that food from Rustic Taco? I say slap your awesome logo on it for marketing!!
Good unique tacos and a full bar at their new location in Fairport. Had a pork taco and mac and cheese which was good. Craft beer selection was also excellent. 2025 Update - Enjoyed a Taco flight which was 4 small but delightful Tacos and a killer Margarita and a Rosemary Gin and Tonic!
Atmosphere is cute. Very mid southern vibes. Only country music playing. Kind of like if you walked into hobby lobby and decided to make a restaurant with things you found. Staff was super nice and very attentive (mainly because there weren't many people here) Food was amazing for the taste. The cheeseburger taco and 3 Bs tacos are great. The only down side I would say is they only sell the the tacos one by one and they are 8$ each which seems a little steep to me. They could at least do a deal like 3 for 20$. But other than that it's a cute place if you want some tacos and to grab a drink. I would recommend.
Having heard good things, we gave Rustic a try 2 days after they officially opened. Generally good food, but mixed reviews. The tacos were very tasty, and appropriately sized. $7 a piece and 2 would make a meal. Adding a side salad would be a good addition. Drinks were overpriced - $4 for a single, non refillable bottle. The liquor license had just come in, but they ran out of margaritas at 630pm. The menu was small, but that will change once they get rolling. Not a lot of vegetarian options. Service was ok, albeit slow. Large open room and a patio. Great decorations, and they did a great job renovating the old Landing Bar . They do not claim to be authentic Mexican, and aren't. Nevertheless, the tacos had great flavor and were very delicious. Give them a try.
The atmosphere is ok, a little polished and too fancy to be a taco joint. Service was slow but decent. The food was good not great, trying to make it extremely complicated. The pulled pork taco didn't have much flavor it was supposed to be "infused" with apple cider. It did not have any hits of apple at all. The buffalo chicken taco was ok but soggy breading. Not sure if we will return.
We stumbled into this place since we are new in town. They seem to show pride on how different they are. Well I must say this is the first worst meal since I got to Western NY. $9 for a taco. The salsa tasted like it came out of a jar. I had the chicken bowl. The only flavor was in the sauce the put on top, and there was very little of it. But our waitress was cool.
