Lotus Chinese Restaurant in Farmingdale is a hidden gem! The food is always fresh and flavorful, with generous portions. The sushi Ferris wheel is such a fun touch, and their General Tso's chicken is a must-try. The service is friendly and attentive, making for an all-around great dining experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious Chinese cuisine!

Awesome restaurant, has been serving the community for over thirty years. It was closed for a while for renovations, and it's finally open. The place looks great, with an open concept and a clean, inviting look. The service was excellent. We had Nick L serving us, and he and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. Now let's talk food, we ordered the wonton soup and Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, and Rock Shrimp, they were delicious. That was followed by the Mongolian Steak and the Eggplant and Shrimp w/Garlic Sauce. Everything was excellent, I am very happy to o have them back in business.

Okay everyone, let’s talk. I don’t know if you guys ever heard of the Godzilla roll? If not, please. Come see Michael, tell him I sent you and please get the Godzilla roll, or any other item on their menu. It’s stylish plating that gets your brain going and your appetite flaring!! Welcome to a very flavorful Japanese restaurant, please give it a shot at any time of day. Besides how beautiful it is inside, the food is just as good. Enjoy!

We heard about Lotus from some friends and decided to stop by. It looks very nice and formal inside. It lookes like there was a dedicated separate area for maybe small parties. The Gobi Manchurian was sooo good!!! The other dishes were packed with flavor and a nice compliment. The decor was very nice and great for special events. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Got take out here for the first time and was so impressed that I was able to get a really generous portion (for lunch) for a great price!!! What I thought was going to be a side of hot and sour soup turned out to be a really large portion (that came with the lunch special). Everything was packaged neatly and they provided all utensils and sauces too. They even gave me complimentary tea. The pad thai lunch I got with veggie fried rice was great too (only suggestion is that they put a little more sauce on the pad thai). Also loved that my food was still hot by the time I got back to my desk... including the soup! The service inside was very friendly. I will order from here again, no doubt!

The food was amazing and the service was amazing until it got crowded. Once it was busy we had to wait a little while for the check but wouldn't definitely go back.

Slow service, giving wrong drink, ordered 3 dishes, they brought the 1st 20 minutes before the other 2 and one was the rice. Have to ask for dishes and spoons. Being a sever, you have to be on top of your game better.

This place used to be great. Lately, their food is not fresh and they're quantity is getting lesser and lesser. Ordered a poke bowl that comes with avocado, and I think I counted four or five very small pieces. The entire bowl is filled with lettuce, less fish, and condiments. Disappointing.

Adding to my previous review (below)... had a dinner reservation on Dec. 31 for 4 people. After a long wait for our entre dishes, we were told that the kitchen had a lot of takeout orders - when does a restaurant prioritize deliveries over guests sitting and waiting... unacceptable. The food was very good but the 40 minute wait between apps and entre dishes was not. Out waiter was lovely and not to blame at all - he did all he could. Gets pretty busy on a Saturday night. The wait for appetizers was quite long- we thought they forgot about us. Then I was brought the wrong appetizer and at that point I just took it because of how long we waited. I let the waiter know he made a mistake and we felt he should have removed it from the bill but he didn't. All food tasted delicious here and the renovated interior is very nice.

Manager literally fumed and raged in my face after my pick up order wasn’t ready an hour after I ordered. I showed up at 6:14 to pick up my moms food which is what it said on the receipt the girl at the counter snarked at me and said it wouldn’t be ready until 7 atleast. Wasn’t even my order was picking up for my elderly mother who can’t go out in the freezing cold. When I say my family has been supporting LG since the early 2000’s I mean it even post renovation. Idc how bad of a day the manager was having yelling at a calm customer and causing an embarrassing scene is terrible and we will NEVER give them a dollar ever again. Seriously. Such a miserable experience. I would recommend everyone steer clear of this place.
