Toa Asian Fusion Farmingdale Reviews
Always amazing food and service! The staff first off is incredibly kind always! Food has so many different choices of Asian food and they are all delicious!
I hadn’t been to TOA in years, but I went to have lunch with a friend the other day and it did not disappoint. Food is really good. The portions are great, everything comes out piping hot. The tea is great and helps warm you up. My friend ordered the sesame tofu, and when I tell you it looked exactly like chicken, I actually had to taste it to make sure there wasn’t a mix-up. That’s how good it looked and it tasted even better. The space itself is perfect for a cute catch-up girls’ lunch. Comfortable, relaxed, and just a really nice place to sit, talk, and enjoy good food. If I’m in the area again, I’m definitely coming back to try more dishes.
For lack of better wording, this place is insane, if you’re in the mood for high quality Asian food there is no place better. The restaurant is beautifully lit and decorated with plenty of seating options. We came on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated immediately. I wanted to try everything on the menu because everything that a server brought out looked so good!! I had the Angel Hair roll and it was delicious. I would recommend starting with an app of some sort - we got vegetable dumplings and they did not disappoint. Overall such a positive dining experience and I’ll definitely return!!!
AMAZING! This restaurant won best Japanese restaurant in Long Island for several years. The owner of this restaurant & the Boba place next door, Yaaas Tea, named Evan treated us with the greatest hospitality. The menu offers such variety with so many favorites. Great ambiance. I highly recommend!
We ordered the food via UberEats and were shocked at how fresh the food was when it got to us. The presentation (from boxes to insulated bag to sauces) was impeccable and the food was delicious. We had crab Rangoon and chicken and broccoli - both dishes were fantastic!
Our bookclub met there for the first. It's a beautiful restaurant and warm. Our server was outstanding. I'm sorry I forgot her name. We were there on 8/1. We all enjoyed our food. The ribs were outstanding and the different dumplings. Our bill was about $800.00. We will be returning.
I have been here many times. The food is always great and the drinks are delicious. Recommend the Crispy chicken dish and the Duck entree. Their Happy hour is worth it as well. Last night was my first time since Covid and they practice safe distance in dining. I was very happy about that.
The waitresses at Toa Asian Fusion is Farmingdale are extremely friendly and patient when you’re ordering your food. I’ve only been here twice and ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll, when was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant in this area.
I love their sushi lunch special! I have tried almost all of the different sushi here and they're on point. 👍🏻 Some of the other dishes aren't as good, which is why I gave this place 4 stars. Also, their drinks are pricey and odd tasting. I remember the Tipsy Pig drink being too strong for me and the other drinks were weird and not tasty at all. Sushi is great, but other food and drinks here are not my cup of tea. The servers are very attentive and nice. However, the last time I ate here servers came by quickly to clear our plates. They hovered over us a lot and give us the bill right away. It wasn't a busy afternoon, so we felt a bit rushed.
I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of all the food. When we got to this restaurant, it was around 5 PM and this was my first meal of the day. I got the mini wonton soup and pan fried dumpling sampler to start. Both were delish and warmed my stomach up nicely. Highly recommend those if you’re into dumplings. The dumpling sampler had 4 different fillings, the shrimp and vegetable were my favorites. I also ordered one of the crispy rice sushi, forgot which one. It was different looking, but tastes just ok to me. My last item was the sashimi dinner. It comes with rice, but I opted to go without. By then I wasn’t starving anymore and slowed down to take a picture. The quality was quite fresh. Price for the number of pieces and variety was reasonable. Presentation was beautiful in the bowl of ice, shredded radish and shiso leaves. Service was decent overall. However…I did ask the server to bring me the check as I was treating my family. A different server later took my uncle’s card and charged it, scrambled ensued with my parents trying to get the check and it was just totally avoidable if they followed my initial request for me to treat my elders. Took a star off for that.
This place was an absolute letdown. Starting from the rude server to the way they looked annoyed to be assisting in any kind of way. The condiments on the table were close to empty and upon asking for it, the man looked very annoyed to be changing it, which would be completely okay had it not been absolutely empty inside.
I used to like ordering from here, but after their misleading "BOGO" deal on uber, I'll pass. BOGO means you pay the normal price for one item. It doesn't mean you get to charge more than double for a single item and claim it's BOGO. Auto adding two and inflating the price is deceptive. Uber customer service didn't help either.
I want to make it clear that the food was pretty decent. However, I was not happy with the service. I came to have dinner with a friend of mine and neither of us felt very cared for. She asked for a ginger ale and our waiter forgot about it which is fine. But when we tried to get another waiter's attention he deliberately ignored us. Then when we needed our bill our waiter was not around. I tried to ask the other waiter to come to our table and he ignored us again. I definitely do not think I will be returning unfortunately. However I do hope that for future guests, the staff improves on their customer service.
I'm very disappointed in this place. The food is decent. However, I recently found hair in my food. To make matters worst, the manager completely gaslit me by saying it doesn't look like hair. I offered to drive back to the restaurant to have her personally look at it. I ordered fried rice. There's nothing in the ingredient list that would remotely look like hair. I'm insulted to say the least. Try the thai food up the block instead.
Online it says the business closes at 10 pm. I called around 6pm to ask if it would be okay to get there at 9:00pm exactly, already knowing what we want to eat. Which were simple dishes. When I came in at 8:56pm I was not greeted, immediately I was told they close at ten, and that they are so sorry they cannot serve me. If that is the case then fix your closing time online, and also make sure your employees know that you cannot serve anybody or have any new customers pass 9:00pm. The reason why I called in advance was because I drove 40 minutes to get there, just to be rudely turned away and denied service. The kitchen I was told closes at 9:15 pm. When speaking to the lady in the front she also said even if they would serve me I would need to leave the restaurant no later than 9:45pm.... For a business that's just not professional. Next time please be sure to tell the right information to your customers ahead of time.
I came here with my parents so I can treat them with my first paycheck. We were totally disappointed. Food portions are really small and quality DOES NOT reflect its price. We ordered five menus for 4 people, was not enough when we aren’t big eaters. Lady who took our order was not friendly, barely cared about our table, it took forever for us to grab a staff and ask for something.
