Siamo stati benissimo, ambiente accogliente,molto intimo e carino, la attenzione eccellente, cibo squisito raffinato, belli e buonissimi , un posto veramente stupendo tranquillo, consigliatissimo.

Ristorantino piccolo ma accogliente e soprattutto si mangia benissimo: grazie a amici che mi hanno portato qui ho scoperto davvero questo ambiente molto carino e ricco di sapori e semplicità. Cucina ottima con qualità degli ingredienti e ricercatezza dei piatti tradizionali con ricette anche rivisitate. Personale gentile e cortese mai invadente e sempre molto attento. Una buonissima esperienza che ho già pubblicizzato.

La mia famiglia ha adorato la nostra esperienza in questo ristorante. Gabriele è un padrone di casa eccezionalmente gentile ed è stato molto paziente con il poco italiano che conosco. La mia famiglia ha concordato che è stato il miglior cibo che abbiano mai mangiato in vacanza. Il mio soggiorno in Italia è durato molto più a lungo perché avevo studiato arte a Roma, e anche questo era di gran lunga superiore al cibo che ho mangiato lì, tra i migliori che abbiamo mai assaggiato. Abbiamo cenato qui due volte durante il nostro breve soggiorno a Firenze, ed è stato eccezionale entrambe le volte! Appassionati di fumetti, fate attenzione anche alle decorazioni di Wolverine e Tintin! :)

Molto bello tutto! Ci siamo sentiti accolti e coccolati anche se con la dovuta discrezione. Tutti i piatti molto buoni, non banali e con qualcosa da raccontare. Carta dei vini non esagerata ma con una bella attenzione al territorio, una bella selezione di Chianti Classico, con qualche chicca.

Cercavamo un ristorante in cui non essere vittime del caos turistico ma allo stesso tempo mangiare buoni piatti. Al B.O.r.G.O. da Gabriele abbiamo trovato ottimi piatti, cucinati utilizzando materie prima davvero di eccellente qualità e presentati in maniera altrettanto valida. I pochi posti a sedere permettono di gustarsi i deliziosi piatti con pace e tranquillità. Cosa piuttosto rara. Alla prossima!

La cena in questo ristorante è stata una vera coccola. Ambiente curato, menu invitante, piatti deliziosi e materia prima di ottima qualità. Grande disponibilità, cortesia e simpatia da parte del proprietario, che è stato particolarmente attento alle allergie del mio fidanzato. Fantastic! Very nice small, nine table place in a cool local feeling neighborhood. The owner is the waiter and charming while providing a very high quality, quick dining experience. The menu changes often and is a reflection of what ingredients are in season and available. Simple dishes done very well. Best dinner we had in Florence by far!

B.O.r.G.O. Is a must if you are in Firenze/Florence. The food is incredible and Gabrielle is amazing. We shared the gnocchi with a mushroom broth, and Cappellacci filled with burrata and with a covered in a grouse ragu that had cocoa nibs and a subtle herbal berry (spruce, hemlock?). For the secondi/main course we had Cod, pork with horseradish, and vegetarian Osso Bucco. It was all so incredible. Really, go!

What began as a simple dinner for two in 2023 turned into a two-year journey that culminated in our wedding rehearsal dinner for 23 guests in August 2025, and it exceeded every dream we had. From the first bite to the last sip, Gabriele delivered not just a meal but an immersive, heartfelt celebration that blended world-class food, perfectly paired wines, and the kind of warmth and hospitality that makes you feel like family. Simply put, B.O.r.G.O. gave us the best dining experience of our lives. Our story with B.O.r.G.O. began back in March 2023, when the two of us first visited for a quiet dinner for two. That night we discovered what is, hands down, the best pasta dish any of us have ever had: the linguine with burnt onion sauce and chive oil. Whatever Gabriele puts into this dish is pure magic. It will knock your taste buds into euphoric bliss and was a huge part of the reason we knew this was the place where we wanted to host our wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was beyond incredible (the best meal we had in Florence, without question), but it was the warmth, care, and personalization that made it unforgettable. On a whim, we proposed the lofty idea of renting out the entire restaurant to host our wedding rehearsal dinner two years later in August 2025. To our delight, Gabriele was immediately up for the challenge, even though it would only be the second time he had ever hosted a group this large. Fast forward two years to August 2025: Gabriele took on the challenge of closing his doors to the public and curating a fully customized dining experience for our group of 23 guests (the restaurant seats about 27, so we nearly filled the place). He worked with us for two years, thoughtfully building a menu that balanced creativity, seasonality, and dietary needs (including vegetarian and allergy-friendly options) while pairing every course with the perfect wines. The menu he created was stunning: • Starters: included half portions of the linguine with burnt onion sauce and chive oil, cappellacci stuffed with burrata and guinea fowl ragout, and crispy gnocchi with lightly smoked tomato “soup” and cherry mozzarella for vegetarians • Mains: (served family-style) sirloin roast beef with potato purée, rabbit roulade stuffed with escarole, plum, pine nuts, and crispy guanciale with chanterelles, plus vegetarian mains like chickpea flour pancake with burrata and vegetarian ossobuco • Desserts: baba rhum and Basque cheesecake, perfectly paired with Malvasia and Occhio di Pernice (a rare Vinsanto made with 100% Sangiovese grapes) • Wines: incredible Bolgheri and Carmignano selections that paired flawlessly with the meal But the food, as spectacular as it was, was only part of what made the night unforgettable. Gabriele welcomed us at the door like family and gave an overview of the curated multi-course journey ahead. His passion for food and hospitality made the evening feel deeply personal, intimate, and immersive. A huge thank you Gabriel for this dinner. This was the best meal I have ever had in Italy. I always have a lot of expectations when coming to Italy. I researched restaurants for hours before coming to Florence. We travel for the food. And still, to our surprise, it was really really difficult to find good restaurants in Florence. Your restaurant is a gem, I would say almost like a miracle, and it was the best pasta and the most interesting meals we've ever had in Italy. We're really grateful your restaurant exists. Without it we would have left Florence disappointed. So please keep cooking! The pastas were perfectly cooked and the flavours were a wonderful discovery. I can still remember the taste! Your homemade bread was also very comforting. The tiramisu was absolutely delicious and just by looking at it (and all the food that night) we could tell this was going to be better than any tiramisu we had had before. It wasn't just a dinner, it was a gastronomy lesson! Which we will not forget. I believe your restaurant is a must when visiting Florence and I will recommend it to my friends and family. We had a truly beautiful meal at BOrGO last night! Attentive and interactive service that was genuine — no saccharine shows here. The unexpected starter of ratatouille was exceptional, and that’s when I knew we were in for a real treat. House-made sourdough followed. It was also outstanding. All three of us absolutely loved our entrees (two from the menu — don’t sleep on the cappellacci with guinea fowl ragu — and one special) and our shared dessert so much that we booked a reservation for 48 hours later— our last meal before departing Florence.

Second time here. We love it!! Gabriele is the owner, waiter, sometimes cook, will take care of you like family. His recommendations are always spot on. Traditional Italian family food. Very intimate setting, with the coolest soundtrack! This is not a place an influencer or their followers will make it to. Time and effort is spent on the food and making the visitor feel welcome. My family and I had an amazing time at B.O.r.G.O. The food was splendid, we ordered all 3 starters, 3 main dishes and 2 desserts. Every dish we ordered was delicious and unique, and all four of us loved every dish that was served. The tiramisu was the best we had ever eaten. Gabriele the owner was very very nice and accommodating, he also brought out delicious appetizers on the house and helped us pick out a wine which we all liked (not an easy task). I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Firenze, I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. This is definitely hidden gem in Firenze. I have been to many good restaurants, but this place was splendid. Gabriele, the owner exactly knows how to syncronize tastes and uses the best in class ingredients. Honestly this place is much better than some of the Michelin Stars restaurants. I very much enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. It's a small restaurant out of the way of tourists crowds with a colorful owner. The food was very good and care for. You can tell that the owner cares about what he puts on the plate. We had and anchovy starter and a may of parly both very good. Wine list had a lot to offer at a reasonable price! Walking to the restaurant offers beautiful views of Florence!
