La Fuente Florence Reviews
Small place , but the food portions more than make up for it. Yet another successful trip for The Out to Lunch Bunch from the Oaks Gracious Retirement Living. Everyone walked away full and satisfied.
Everything I have ever ordered here is wonderful. It's small, which is nice as they don't get overwhelmed and sacrifice service or quality. I could probably eat here every day of the week it's so good.
Hands down BEST authentic Mexican food I’ve had in a LONG time! My family an I will most likely be coming here every weekend. Delicious! Clean! Very friendly staff! Great prices! Nothing negative here ☺️
I usually have a great experience here. Last night I got the cheese enchiladas. They were cold inside, I should have had them heat them back up, but I finished my supper. Now I am really sick. The only reason I am giving them max stars is because I should have sent the food back for reheating. This place is usually great! This has been my only bad experience.
Hands down one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The fajita plate is so good that I get it almost every time! I really like their salsa and queso as well. I would definitely recommend eating here :)
Great little restaurant!! Food is fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Service was outstanding. Couldn't recommend a better Mexican restaurant in the Fort Hood area. May be a little bit of a drive but so worth the time and more!!
Great food, great prices and a smiling wait staff. Will return again soon, I recommend highly. Some of the best salsa I have ever had, awesome sauce. 👌
Best beef fajitas! I always order beef fajita meat on tostados. Heavenly!!
My friend took me here for the first time. The food was really good. It's very small, so you want to go at lunch time when they first open so you're not waiting. It got busy pretty quick. But great food and a good variety. There was only one waitress at the time when we were there, so we did have to wait for refills on our drinks. But other than that, worth a try!
We were driving through and stopped because this has such great reviews. It did not disappoint. Cozy atmosphere, food with flavor, great portions, excellent service. So impressed!
Quaint restaurant with great food. The beef fajitas were delicious and the portion was extremely generous with plenty to take home. The green chicken enchiladas also were very good and served with refried beans and rice. Did I mention that the portions were huge?! And.. their chips are awesome. It's a great little restaurant just minutes outside of Georgetown. It's a great find.
We have eaten there 4 times in the past month and a half. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised we were with just how Good this place is. We thought they were closed the first time we went, as it didn't look as busy as the place around the corner. Those people eating at the other place are making a big mistake (I've been there) Their service was fast and friendly. It felt as if we were eating at a familys house. The food is fresh and flavorful and the portions on the fajitas plate is enough to fill me up for dinner And lunch the next day. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount you receive. Get there early as they close at 7:00, but this place is awesome!
Very friendly service, I was passing through on my bicycle, and they treated me just as nice as the police officer who was also eating at the time. The fajitas were amazing, the flavor was perfect for lunch and my stomach was happy too, after lunch I rode another 138 miles with no stomach issues, so pretty amazing. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with bathroom items, I will be back to this town just because of this restaurant and the great experience I had.
I have been going to La Fuente for years now and I love the food, love the owners, and love the atmosphere!! My favorite server is Unique she is so friendly, always smiling, and she is very attentive to each customer. I think I will go to La Fuente until I die❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've been here literally a few times. And every time is very satisfying. My family comes from Mexico, and I've lost every last one of them. This restaurant and the people who work here are always very nice and warm welcoming. I struggle looking for authentic Mexican food like back home. And here I've found my forever restaurant. Thank you for all you do. ❤️
Excellent food and Service. Just a simple little family run restaurant. Who would’ve guessed that the food could be so incredibly good. There was great attention to detail and the needs of the customer. And they had Mexican Coke! We were a table of six and we all agreed we will be back.
I'm from west Texas, and I eat a lot of Mexican food. This place had one of the best plates of red beef enchiladas I've had in Central Texas. Absolutely outstanding and highly recommended. I will be back.
Fabulous lunch! Great Service!!
I had the chicken fajita, and my wife had the suizas. They both were outstanding! My wife said they were the best that she has ever had. They give a huge amount of food - one meal is enough for 2 people! If we lived here, we would dine here frequently.
We have now tried several dishes (slowly working through the menu) and all our experiences have been great. Food is high quality, tastes great and portions are plentiful. Very fortunate to have such great food in Florence! Florence plate is our favorite, also love the Tejano plate.
This is a wonderful place to eat. Get there before 5:30 pm to get a table. Beware the plate is very hot which is good. Nice people there.
Absolutely fantastic. We live in Killeen and have been looking for actual good Mexican food since we moved here from West Texas. This is the place. Skip everywhere and Killeen and just do yourself the favor and drive 19 miles to here. It's more than worth it. The food is incredible, great service, and amazing prices. I can't recommend more highly.
Small town, small restaurant, BIG flavor!!!! From the incredible service to the amazing food. Dining here was an absolute pleasure. The chips were nice and warm and the salsa had such a great flavor. I ordered the Carne Guisada with the rice and beans. Everything was amazing!!! I also got a side of tortillas and they were nice and hot. I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for some great Mexican food.
Our first time, and although we arrived 30 minutes before closing time, we were warmly welcomed! Shortly after sitting down, we were served warm chips that were thin but sturdy with a hint of salt that were excellent and accompanied with a bowl of perfectly flavored salsa! We ended up consuming three baskets of chips and three bowls of salsa along with enjoying our delicious entrées! See photos below of our entrées! The menu items we selected were so delicious! La Fuente was an overall lovely experience and we will definitely go back!
What a great place and Jose is wonderful! Had a nacho salad, kids chicken quesadilla, an order of queso and some amazing salsa made by Jose!
I am a harsh critic when it comes to Mexican food but this place was oh so good! You absolutely need to eat their nachos. Perfect chips for nachos! Fajitas had great flavor! Small cozy place..Definitely coming back!
One of our favorite go-tos!!! The fajitas and food are fabulous and the service is awesome. I have always been amazed at the good manners of these young people and even watching them clean tables they take pride in their work. I am always impressed and highly recommend this restaurant 🙂 see my photo"small" order of fajitas with all the fixings!!!
Absolutely delicious. If you think the lunch plate won't fill you up, you would be wrong. Price is right. Total win. Oh yeah, the salsa is legit.
Fresh, homemade Mexican Food. The best we have found since we moved to the area 6 months ago. Highly recommend trying it.
I loved my food ! Very good place to eat. The staff was super friendly and very clean .I will eat here at every opportunity.
The salsa was ver good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with green salsa and I have to say that it was delicious. The price was very affordable. Thank you and this restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, and that's coming from a big city boy.

They take a lot of pride in their food and service and you can taste the love. We’ve been several times and never disappointed. Make sure to go at non peak times - gets crowded fast!
Have yet to have a bad meal here. We have ordered about everything on the menu. Service is always nice and quick. Everyone always has a great attitude.
Enjoyed the daily lunch special of Cheese Enchiladas. They were delicious. Home made refried beans with good taste, rice was tasty and not salty. Homemade salsa and chips were fresh and warm. Highly recommend.
Love the food here. The family got a new chef who is right on with all the flavors. Love to support the locals!!!! Would like to make a suggestion—this restaurant is freezing. Considering turning the temperature down in the dining area.
Nice cozy family Mexican food restaurant. Will definitely stop and eat again.
So good! My husband and I got the green enchiladas and they were unreal. The sauce was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly creamy with just the right tang! Love the cozy, welcoming vibe and the genuine, kind staff. You can taste the love and tradition in the food. Such a special little spot. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend supporting this gem.
La Fuente is always fantastic. Fresh food and great staff are what keeps us coming back. Florence enchiladas are my jam but we tried those nachos last night with a combo plate and wow those nachos are the best nachos we ever had! Love you guys! See u in a few days!

The salsa is amazing! There is minimal seating in the dining area.
Local small town restaurant, small inside seating area, but very clean. Food was absolutely delicious! Just FYI Google maps sent us in the opposite direction on Main Street. Definitely a must try! I had Migas, refried beans and potatoes and my partner had chicken with a red sauce, beans and potatoes, he said it was delicious.

We ordered dinner for pickup. I got the empanadas with beef. It was just ok, not a lot of flavor. What was really disappointing was the rice and beans. We threw away most of it.
I’d eat there again. However, if you order any meat such as the burger make sure it’s cooked thoroughly.
Solid little spot for -the food's honestly great, super fresh flavors that make you wanna come back. But getting it to go? Total nightmare. The phone's often disconnected, so good luck ordering ahead. They'll quote you fifteen minutes, but when you roll up, it's a crapshoot: ten minutes after you arrive if you're lucky, thirty if the kitchen's slammed. Turns out they don't start cooking until you physically show up, so that wait time they give you? Pure fiction. We would go so much more often if the time they tell you the food will be ready was accurate.
Pros : Service was awesome. We were the last customers, but were not rushed out. Cons : no aguas frescas, space is tiny, no spicy salsas, ran out of beef fajita, chicken fajita, & chile relleno is not battered in egg 😭
The food is served hot and it tastes good. My issue was that I ordered a chicken burrito, and it is nothing more than a chicken enchilada with cheese on top. Beans and rice are served as sides instead of in the burrito. Chips were served hot and queso was very good.

When calling to place the order the young lady that answered the phone said "Hello"? I had to ask if I was calling La Fuentes. If you are running a business your customer should not have to confirm they are calling the correct place. The food was cold, the chicken had water running out of it as well as the beef. We had tacos and taco salads. The shell of the taco salad was extremely soggy. We had eaten here previously and had a wonderful experience but not this time and it's enough to make us not want to try it again.
So the food was hot and tasted OK. But the service was horrible. I am not sure if someone called in sick or what, but we were waiting 10 to 20 minutes just for drinks. We asked for queso, which took at least 20 minutes. We had no napkins or cutlery. We had to ask. I had to change my order because of bad information. We got our food and had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for cutlery. We will be skipping this place. My husband dish was not prepared correctly at all . I believe the waiter didn't understand what it was he asked for, and it was prepared incorrectly. Pass on this place.
We came to eat at this restaurant today for the first time. Normally we come into town to eat at Mano’s but since they are closed on Saturdays now we wanted to give this place a try.. HORRIBLE Idea!!! We had the absolute WORST experience ever!! We walked in and there were a few tables in there eating but overall not very busy. It is a fairly small place. It took about ten minutes after sitting down to get menus and from there probably about ten for each thing we asked for. The server we had was not very friendly. We asked for lime with our sweet tea and for our guacamole. We had to ask four times for them to bring some slices of lime along with some salt and pepper after waiting a few minutes in between each ask and having the guys stop at the table to bring drinks, etc. when we finally received the limes, they were not sliced like you would normally expect.. they literally cut a lime in half and brought it to us. We ordered a small guacamole and a small Queso with our salsa and wanted to eat a little of that while we looked over the menu and decided what to order. We ordered our food and it took about thirty minutes to receive. The guy did not write anything down as he took our order and appeared very inconvenienced with taking our order. When we got our food. The order was wrong. We asked for no tomatoes and it was served with a ton of tomatoes. Also we were under the impression the plates came with rice and beans.. we received plates with only rice and no beans to be found. When we asked about the beans we were told that they ran out but he never once mentioned that at the beginning when we sat down or when we ordered our food. Despite the business hours showing as a 3pm closing time, we were told they closed at 2pm. Mind you we walked in about 1:30pm under the impression they were open until 3.. the guy told us well you ordered after we closed so we ran out of beans. We asked for cheese on our tacos and did not receive it with cheese on one of the plates. When asking for cheese we were also told they were out, despite looking at some on the other plate. Only to be brought a side of grades cheese by the other employee that must’ve over heard. The guy waiting in us did not check back with us at all. Instead he went outside and was sitting in his car and moving it to the front of the restaurant. When he came in he started cleaning up and placing the chairs on top of tables while us and two other tables were trying to eat. He went out of his way to be rude and make it obvious that we were not welcome in the restaurant despite being paying customers. He must be related to the owner in some way because there is no way, he should be working there as the face of the company. This was our first time here and definitely will be our last. If I could give zero stars, I would have. This establishment is pathetic. Customer service in non existent and the food is not even worth being treated poorly. The food had little to no flavor and everything was very bland. Do NOT waste your time here. Make the time during the week and stop by Mano’s around the corner where you are welcomed and valued as a guest. The food is always great and the owner is very pleasant. Mano’s is the only restaurant in Florence that will be getting my business.
