Quick and friendly service. The food was delicious. I will definitely want to go back! We recommend for all those who pass by, to stop in!!!
i had the chilaquiles plate and the food was so delicious. Highly recommended. The place was nice and cold.
My favorite place to eat in town! Always a warm greating when walking in. Each plate gives you that home cooked, comfort food feeling. Great service!
Food was great I will recommend this place to others
Great fresh food . Would definitely come back and visit . Mainly on special occasions!!! A little pricey , but hey , you get what you pay for !!!!!
The service was great. The food, even better. We are from Kentucky and not familiar with a lot of the dishes. Server talked ud though everything in perfect English. My Spanish is not very good. I loved this place! The breaded bacon is unlike anything I have every tried. The Churro beans were absolutely packed with flavor. Great spot.
I've been going here since i was 7, and im 14 now yet still love it so much . my grandparents had introduced me to the place and its very welcoming and have such friendly amazing workers and delicious food. they never fail to serve an amazing meal. as someone who has been deprived of their Mexican culture from split family, being here is very comforting and welcoming. staff are super friendly and kind, they even remember revisiting customers as well, they always recognize me and my grandpa. they also always have seasonal window paintings and they are always beautiful and kids like my siblings love seeing the new window paint each month.they have great service aswell.
Wow...what a wonderful surprise on a Sunday afternoon. My son and I were in Floresville on our motorcycles and looking for a place for lunch. We found Mata's, which was close by to the square. We were welcomed in and sat where we could watch the bikes. The friendly staff took our orders and brought homemade chips and salsa. The chips were straight out of the fryer... excellent! I ordered beef quesadillas and my son got beef enchiladas and a puffy taco. Everything was delicious. Our tea glasses were never empty either...a good thing on a warm day. I don't know when I've had better Tex Mex or kinder service. The only problem is that Mata's is 300 miles from my home in Dallas, but I will be back whenever I'm able to get down that way. Thank you for a wonderful meal and such pleasant service. Y'all are the BEST!
I love Mata's Cafe. It is a smaller, simple and quiet cafe. Always clean. Always good service. I've eaten here dozens of times and never been disappointed. They stay open late and I love that fact. Closing time during the week is 8:30 pm.
It’s a cute little mom and pop kinda place. Not from here so when I first came here it was a great experience the food was so good the portions were good for the dollar, the people were friendly, not too crowded very spacious, the tacos are the best in my opinion they are good sized not to small or big. The sweet tea is perfect
Customer service is top tier. Everyone is extremely kind and thoughtful. The food is the best I've had since I moved to TX from the east coast. I come here almost religiously at this point. They have the BEST sweet tea, nobody comes close. They work nonstop and deserve so much for their hard work. I always tip well after each visit. Love this place.
I just recently discovered this gem. Felt right at home. Priscilla is my regular server and she is courteous. I go for breakfast after work, and by my third visit, welcomed me by name, brought coffee AND water without asking AND didn’t bring a menu since I don’t ever use it. The owner comes in and personally greets and thanks everyone for coming in. The whole place is always clean, the dishes are always immaculate and the servings are very fair for the price. I’m glad they are here, and I’m sure all their regulars are as well. I highly recommend this place.
The guaca was fresh but lacked flavor, the salsa was just hot also lacked flavor. The waitress was nice The place was homey and welcoming. The chicken wasnt the best quality, I did like the puffy taco and the beef was flavored well. Also a little pricey for the quality.
Please watch your bill. My wife ordered the child’s enchilada plate and I ordered the normal enchilada plate. They over charged me. Charged me the adult price for the child’s plate, when I mentioned this to them they said there was an error on their menu prices but they weren’t going to change it. No refund of the difference or anything. They have totally lost my business.
