Dix Cafe Flower Mound Reviews
Came here on a Saturday at about 2pm and they still let me dine in even though they said they were only doing take it orders at this time. I got the dix special and a blueberry waffle and a segafredo coffee and I was really impressed the hash browns and bacon were very good they gave me about 4 pieces of bacon and my eggs were cooked over medium just like I ordered. Three waffle was packed with blueberries and came with an in house syrup which was delicious also three waffle was cooked perfect a little crispy on the edge with a fluffy center. The atmosphere here is so nice and peaceful also and they have a big coffee bar.
Very cute and comfortable setting. Had the salmon toast, tasty. Coffee refill galore. Wish they offered some croissants/ sweet pastry to accompany the savory breakfast.
My mom suggested we try this place less than 5 minutes away from our house. I really love this place!! The food is amazing 👍🏼😱. My mom had breakfast, my son steak and eggs and I had Sarah's bowl. The food is delicious. Our server Harvey was the Best 🤩. My autistic son wants to come back and try more food options. I do also. The atmosphere is so cozy. Come and check this place out.!!
This is a great little cafe. The food was terrific. I had the avocado toast with egg whites. They were the best I’ve had. They had seasoning that really elevated the taste. The fries are great. We also got the Nutella fruit pancakes. Those were delicious as well. Our server was helpful and took great care of us. We were there at an off-peak time, and they still were on top of everything. The decor is cute. The bathrooms have those extra touches in decor and soap and such. It definitely conveys a great message.
First time here at Dix Cafe and it did not disappoint. Portions are enough for two but I wouldn’t share cause food is that great! The hashbrowns were crispy and can taste that it was fresh potatoes not bagged. Friendly staff and owner even came to greet us. Will be our new breakfast spot.
Finally an amazing breakfast cafe in Flower Mound. Scratch kitchen which means it’s fresh vs not (e.g. I usually skip syrup on pancakes or French toast but not here—freshly made and served warm). Current opening hours are 9am-2pm as they ramp up (else it will be 8-3). It’s not a soft open as all menu items are available. We went back to back days. We had the breakfast bowl (Charlie), biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, eggs and French toast. Check it out! Update: Brought the kiddos and had mini breakfast, chicken and waffles, blueberry waffles, Berries and French toast, Strawberry and Nutella Pancakes
This was a really nice breakfast experience. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and sat at a nice clean table. The decor was well appointed with white and black. The bar area was neat and a good fit into the overall theme. Our server was friendly, attentive and understood the menu. Our food came out quickly and was fresh and tasty. We will definitely visit again.

This is a really good breakfast spot! The staff are all very sweet and attentive as well. We can't wait to come back and try some more items from off of the menu. The Greek omelet is really good.
Ok. Here we go: Freshness - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Price - 4 stars, and this is why, a side of hash browns for $8.00 is a bit of a stretch. But the place is gorgeous and extremely clean and the service is just amazing. The girls that work here are always on the look out to serve you and make you feel at home, very classy too. I’m trying to stay away from giving 5 stars all the time, but I can’t help it with this place. The photo that I’m sharing here is my steak and eggs order. The meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The fruit is organic and fresh, super fresh. Pretty impressed with this place. I will be coming back many times after church on Sundays. Keep it up ! Albert
Although I usually enjoy brunch at the cafe, I was pleasantly surprised to attend the loveliest wedding reception recently. The display of foods and desserts was beautiful. The tables were arranged in two long rows decorated with gold and white place settings. The bridal couple and attendants were elegantly seated at the large booth in the front. We all had the best time.
I went for breakfast this morning with my mother and aunt. Everything was great! I had the Greek omelette, and the lamb was surprisingly cooked perfectly. The lady serving us was very sweet and provided great service. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the Flower Mound area.
Is this place open anymore ? I called yesterday and they were open. Went by today and the doors were locked. Looks like they didn’t renew their certificate of occupancy (displayed near the window) at the end of last month. The Philly steak omelette is awesome - I hope to have another one if they re-open.

What an amazing experience!! I actually go there for breakfast 2 to 3 times a month. It never disappoints the food is always excellent and so is the service. Today I had a Gyros omelette, and as usual, it was excellent! My server today was Deven And she was an absolute delight. Can’t say enough about the five star service.! I will keep coming back and I highly recommend coming to Dix’s if you have not tried it! Barb
Did cafe is a cute little brunch spot in flower mound but the food is very mediocre. I went on a Sunday around 10 am and there was plenty of seating. Our restaurant waitress was lovely and kind and our food came out fast but it was nothing special. I got steak and eggs, a fruit cup, and an orange juice. This totaled to $33 before tip. It’s definitely on the pricier side for breakfast food, which I typically would not mind paying BUT this just didn’t seem worth it to me because of the quality and flavor of things.
Overall experience was good. The chicken was chewy and the hash browns lacked flavor. The hot chocolate was nice and warm. Waitress was attentive.
Wonderful atmosphere very open concept. Coffee bar and farmhouse feel. Really cute little table that can be reserved with the hanging wisteria above it. Food was fast and delish. I gave it a four star because the coffee- plain and black was $4.00 and that is more than even Starbucks. Other than that it was quite lovely and will definitely be back.

Alright y’all I’m going to be real. Dix is clean, staff is kind and attentive. Food was fine. Presentation was nice. Now for my opinion. This place was not my vibe and did not match what I thought I was walking into. When you ask for a soda, they bring you a 12 oz bottle with no refills and charge $3. Coffee is also no refills bc it’s French pressed and is $4 per cup. I also ordered a mimosa. I was disappointed as it tasted like super cheap champagne. Now I’m realistic, I get where I’m ordering a mimosa, but this was honestly the worst mimosa I’ve ever had. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast breakfast. It was yummy, large portions. The bacon I received was as thin as a piece of paper and tasted off. My companion ordered a sarah bowl. He thought it was yummy and said he would get it again. Overall, this place is more about looks than the actual product. I would try to come again as their brunch menu is tempting. But I will definitely be sure to only order water. The staff was great! The restaurant itself felt very cliche and uppity suburban.
We were driving past, looking for breakfast. Dix Café seemed new and we thought we'd try it out. Clean and airy, with a pervasive spice aroma (I seem to recollect that there was an Indian restaurant in that location previously). There weren't many customers and we were invited to sit wherever we liked. Water, coffee, and juice appeared promptly. I was somewhat taken back by the "beef bacon" in the breakfast segment of the menu. On inquiry, our server informed me that it was one of two halal items on the menu. I ordered the Dix special ( eggs, beef bacon, hash browns) and it turned out great. More disappointing was my partner's pancakes. See attached photo. I believe to let such burned food out of the kitchen and then to serve it is unfortunate and a lack of quality control. The server did offer to return it after I mentioned when she came to ask about our food. By then we were already halfway through our meal and were not going to wait. The food item was also not taken off the bill (I didn't ask, but it would have been the right thing to do since they were inedible).
SO and I just moved here so we thought we’d try this place. I’d say the atmosphere is early 2010’s “live laugh love.” Industrial furniture, subway-ish tile, Edison bulbs, that kind of stuff. Ordered a Coke Zero, it came out in one of the mini 12 oz bottles and was $3. No refills even on coffee? SO got a mimosa and said the oj was pulpy and the champagne was low quality. The food was very tasty though. I got the Sara’s bowl with scrambled eggs. SO hot the cinnamon roll French toast breakfast. Both were very good. The bacon, we thought, was thin. Almost shaved. The biscuit seems like it’s out of a package. Definitely a biscuit designed for consumption with gravy. Hash browns were tasty. They are the cubed type and were prepared well. The chicken on the Sara’s Bowl and the cinnamon roll French toast were the best parts. Want to come back to check out the brunch menu but might not be too eager to return for breakfast.
Came here for the first time with some others at noon for a late breakfast / brunch. The menu has some great selections, and my companions all enjoyed their food. My spouse had a veggie omelet which she enjoyed, although she said her hash browns lacked flavor. I had the chicken and waffle which looked good, but unfortunately the "butter syrup" served with it was watery with very little flavor. This made for a bland waffle with little flavor. I should have asked for regular syrup, and will plan to do so next time! The others in my party were also disappointed with the lack of any coffee drink other than drip coffee. No iced coffee, no lattes, etc.

Great place with a great atmosphere. However, I have 3 stars because of the food. The hashbrowns look amazing but have no flavor. The rest of the food was so-so. Plus $12 for kids chocolate milk is enough to not come back again.

Tried out the place. It is a bit high on the prices but it didn’t have no bacon pork. All the other bacons you can think of, also as of entering it had a weird smell. Buy it was clean. No straws for a water or juice. Their specialty coffee was a bit short from the top of the cup and looked like a really cheap coffee, the Mimosa was a not decorative to it nor is the plating for the prices they charge. The omelet was big. The steak was super knife waked . So Al juices rain out making it dry. And we asked for mash browns . It was more like mini diced potatoes. And the French toast was short on topping for the price.

Relatively expensive place and food is okay. Main reason for low review is that they do not have wifi here. The place is decent enough to work and eat at for a bit. But lack of wifi is a little kinda dumb. I get that maybe they want to turn tables faster, but still one star from me.
