Haidilao Flushing Reviews
Came in for my birthday - best dinner I had ever!! Yuna made the experience super amazing. She was attentive, kind, and really considerate. Checked in on us constantly and my family and I really enjoyed our time at haidilao😊🤩❤️ thank you so much!!!! We will definitely be back!! We got the golden and tomato broth, had really amazing flavor and all of the food tasted fresh.
Shout out to YiFan for such friendly, speedy, & attentive service! This spot never disappoints me & my bf whenever we come. The soup bases are always delicious and the meats are always good quality + fresh. We usually come for the AYCE menu option starting at 9PM which we love especially when we need our protein fix.
food? bomb service? incredible (shout out viktor) atmosphere? lovely - especially on the lunar new year. we saw mask changing and noodle dancing. i left a review on maps but couldn’t add a comment- i liked it so much i came here to write about it.
HaiDiLao is an excellent hot pot spot with a wide variety of dishes, both hot and cold. there is an extensive assorted buffet to choose from, and every dish is fresh and flavorful. the staff is very helpful and friendly, we had the pleasure to have Celine as our server and she was great! Please come to HaidiLao Flushing 🩷💯
We had a great hotpot experience, and Mengqi made it even better! She was very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. She checked on us regularly, refilled our drinks, and helped us with the menu. Her service was excellent and really enhanced our meal. Thank you, Mengqi!
Delicious!!!! I loved the experience of eating here so much. We had the pork bone base, the tomate base, the mushroom base and the tom yum base. We had the duck blood, bullfrog, duck intestines, beef, mushrooms, bok choy and so much more! 10/10 would love to repeat this some time. The sauces were delicious too. Service was wonderful and the place was immaculate.
Just eat here in regular Friday night. Food and vibe are so good. There are snack and drink free during waiting. Our waitress, Tracy is providing the best service to us. She asked what we need and provide immdiately. Good to have her as our waitress tonight.
Amazing experience at Haidilao! The service is truly next level — staff are incredibly attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. From the moment we walked in, we felt taken care of. The food is fresh, flavorful, and high quality, especially the soup bases and meats. Definitely one of the best hot pot experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
I decided to have my birthday dinner here and it was the best decision! It was made so good because of our server Mengqi! They did a super nice birthday set up when I arrived and also sang me a birthday song! I saw that other servers didn’t really sing the birthday song with as much enthusiasm as Mengqi did, she kept laughing together with me and we had the best time! My husband honestly just informed them in the notes when I was waitlisting, he didn’t call or make very specific arrangements yet they were so well prepared! I’m so thankful and had a great experience! The great service aside, food was also so good! I couldn’t stop drinking the golden soup 😋 What a great birthday dinner! Thank you Mengqi 💖
First time going here with my friend and my expectations were blown out of the water. Excellent service, staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. Wanted to shout out our server Wang Mengqi, she made our experience amazing! It was my first time going to a hot pot restaurant and she explained how everything worked, how to cook, etc. I can’t wait to come back again and hope to see Mengqi again!!!
I visited Haidilao on a weekday evening last week around 7 P.M. and was surprised by how busy it was. Several parties ahead were already waiting and there were others who had likely pre-booked through the app. Even without a reservation, our wait wasn’t too long. The waiting area was welcoming with a photo booth, drinks, snacks, and toys to keep guests entertained. If you’re coming from 39th Ave, the restaurant is located in the back of the building, around the corner, on the second floor. If you’re driving, parking was readily available in the nearby municipal lot. Inside, the space was large and bright with about 100 tables. Before our server Yuna arrived, the attendant who brought us from the front had greeted us and kindly checked whether we were familiar with hotpot dining. Yuna stopped by soon after we were seated and made a great first impression by handing us bags to store our jackets, eyeglass cleaning pads, and hair ties for long hair. We ordered the quarter pot with tomato, tom yum, pork bone, and sukiyaki broths ($30~). You can also choose between a single or double pot depending on your party size and preference. Haidilao is known for its tomato broth and it definitely lived up to the hype. Asides from the tomato broth, every other broth was perfectly balanced, flavorful and not too salty or overpowering. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we treated ourselves to some premium items including wagyu ($30), abalone ($48), lobster ($30), sea cucumbers ($20), etc. Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, fresh, and of the highest quality. We also tried the golden fried buns with condensed milk bricks and found them crisp and tasty. The pre-meal bites and snacks at the appetizer and sauce bar were all good as well. The sauce bar offers a wide variety of options for $3 per person, and while none initially stood out when I tried Haidilao’s recommended recipes, Yuna prepared her three personal favorites for us and we really enjoyed them. Watching the handmade noodle performance alongside the mask-changing show also added a fun and unique element to our meal too! We also saw a ton of robot servers in action, although we didn’t get served by one this time haha. We didn’t explore much of the drinks or dessert options as we were already full, but we did enjoy some fruits like honeydew and tangerines, along with some ice cream. The bathrooms were spotless with bidets and gapless doors in the stalls. They were also well-stocked with mouthwash, floss, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary pads, diapers, and even makeup remover wipes. For a party of four, our total came up to around $230 and with a 30% tip, it was close to $300. Everyone in our party agreed it was worth every dollar. The combination of top-tier service, excellent food, and thoughtful extras made Haidilao one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had in a while. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying their 9 P.M. meat lovers deal. I also found out at the end from Yuna that if you call ahead for birthdays or other special occasions, the staff can personalize your table for the celebration. If you plan to visit Haidilao more than once, be sure to download the app to make the most of rewards and deals! P.S. Thank you to the staff for all the wonderful little freebies and surprises! P.P.S. I’ve heard a lot about Haidilao’s chicken nuggets through word-of-mouth, but didn’t get a chance to try them this time. 😅
My friends and I had an amazing experience here! Our server, Yifan, was incredibly attentive and kind! Everything we ordered was delicious, but I highly recommend trying the thin-sliced Wagyu chuck. All of the broths were rich and flavorful, and everything cooked perfectly. The small touches throughout the restaurant truly makes it a gem and a must-visit. If you’re in Flushing and are craving a delicious hot pot experience, make sure you stop in! 🔥🍲👏
Great place if you're looking for a nice meal and service that excels. Host and hostess are constantly making sure you feel welcomed even on the extremely busy night we went. Waiting area had some table games to keep you busy as well as lemon water, tea and some light snacks like candy and pretzals. They told us that wait time was about 45 min, but we got our table within 20 min. Once seated, the food selection was super fresh. Ordering was done through an iPad at the table but if you need help, a waiter is on hand to explain the types of food and drinks and answer any questions you may have. Everything was out in a flash. They charge you $2.99 per person to use the sauce bar, I would recommend if you've never been to a hotpot place but if you have, you can skip it, unless you want unlimited soft serve and extra crackers, which are included with the sauce bar. The soup base was the most flavorful we have ever tried. My wife had the bone broth with mushrooms and I had the tomato. Did not need any dipping sauce with these two soup bases. All in all, excellent food that you won't normally find at a standard hotpot place. We had two types of Wagyu, shrimp, razor clams, crispy tofu skin and some veggies. You can order hand pulled noodles as well as ramen and upon but we were stuffed. I would definitely recommend. Try reserving ahead of time because they are always busy.
🎃 Halloween Hotpot Night at Haidilao! We came here on Halloween night and had such a great time! The service was amazing as always — super friendly and fast. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for the chilly weather. The staff even added a little festive touch for the holiday, which made the atmosphere really fun and cozy. Definitely one of the best Haidilao experiences in New York! 👻🔥🍲
Had an amazing experience at Haidilao! The hotpot was fresh and flavorful, but what really stood out was the service. Our server, Andrew, went above and beyond, he was attentive without being intrusive, explained the menu clearly, gave great recommendations, and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. He was warm, professional, and genuinely made us feel welcomed. Andrew turned a great meal into an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re visiting Haidilao, definitely hope you get Andrew as your server!
We had the two-person lunch set menu. The service was excellent, and they also provided small side dishes and fresh fruit. I chose the set with fish fillets while my friend had the meat option—more than enough for two people to enjoy and left us feeling full and satisfied. At the end, we also had ice cream, which was also delicious. Overall, a great experience. I especially recommend the lunch set—it’s affordable, the service is outstanding, and the ingredients are fresh and clean.
We came to Hai Di Lao to celebrate a birthday and had the best experience! Our server Yu Xin was amazing; so attentive and thoughtful throughout the whole meal. The food was fresh and delicious, and Yu Xin went above and beyond by singing a birthday song for us, which made the atmosphere so fun and memorable. Truly a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend this location and a big thank you to Yu Xin for making our celebration extra special!
Went there recently and had a great experience! The service was excellent and very attentive. I loved the snack bar the most, it was such a fun touch. The restaurant looked great, clean, and welcoming. The mala soup was delicious with bold flavors, though very spicy for me, so I’ll definitely go down a spice level next time. Overall, a wonderful spot to enjoy hot pot!
It’s an really popular place with long wait times but definitely worth it. The place is based entirely on a la carte menu, so any AYCE hot places doesn’t even come close to its quality. I find the robot serving us to be really futuristic and cool. The noodle dance is a must get, it really hypes up the mood. The most enticing part of the Haidilao franchise is its service, and it’s top notch as experienced by our visit. Really great for birthday parties.
Haidilao is a famous Chinese hotpot restaurant with locations worldwide, with this one being one of the few on the East Coast, located in downtown Flushing. The store itself is quite spacious, with over 100 tables for people to sit at, and does get filled quite quickly. They offer private rooms as well as larger tables for larger parties. The service is exceptional. The waiter and staff checked in on us nearly every second, offering us free goodies (that you need a secret code to get), as well as telling us about the many offerings they have. The food, although on the pricier side, was of good quality and tasted great. We got the tom yum broth as well as the tomato broth. The tom yum broth was a bit too sour for our liking, but the tomato broth was amazing. The dancing noodle was nice and chewy, and they put on a show when they make it which was fun to watch. The rest of the products were typical hotpot offerings, but were of top quality and tasted great in the broth.
It was a fun and festive restaurant with great attentive service. They even gave us hair tie and eyeglass wipes, and scooped the oil from the soup base during our meal to lessen the grease from cooking. Their dancing noodle performance was interesting and refreshing. They have a good variety of soup, sauce, meat, seafood and vegetable for you to choose from. Our favorite soup base was the spicy pork and bone soup. The meal also includes a yummy scoop of ice cream cone! Oh..:they have a cute robot strolling around to collect plates 🤪
We had a reservation so there was no wait for a table. Very large space, a lot of seating. There were also a lot of people waiting for the waitlist seating. I was happy with the amount of broth options. I was underwhelmed by the sauce bar, it was adequate but not wow. The bathrooms were clean. A little pricier than other hot pot options.
Amazing atmosphere and service. Although the wait time is long, we joined a wait list and there's a waiting room with small snacks, drinks, and fun games perfect for kids and teenagers. There's even a cute photo booth! Because we went on a holiday, the all you can eat option wasn't available. Hot pot in general is pretty pricey without the ayce, but the food was pretty decent. I went with a group of 5 and we got 4 different soup bases. We gave ourselves a budget because items are purchased individually. We ended up spending $40 per person including tax and tip. Some of us were full and there's dessert and fruit at the sauce buffet which costs qn additional amount. The dancing noodles are a must have experience too! Overall, it was pretty good, but would recommend coming on a regular day if you're on a budget!
We had a reservation for 11 people on a Saturday at 12:30. We thought we might need two tables with such a large group, but everyone was able to fit into one square table, and even be able to hear each other talk! It's a cool experience for kids because they'll provide a (clean) high chair, a toy, and a kids meal consisting of dino nuggets, fruit, a bun, and a yogurt drink (unclear if we had to pay extra for this or not since I didn't handle the bill). For the adults, we ordered a bunch of items including fatty beef, razor clams, various meat/fish balls, udon, shrimp, kabocha, just to name a few items. My favorite was probably the beef tongue, and the smashed shrimp paste. Love a good freshly-made paste for hot pot. We went with two different broths, but you can pick as many as four. Everything seemed like your standard hot pot items. They did seem to have a few more sauces that other hot pot places, and they have a few cooked items - like spring rolls. We didn't opt for the fresh noodles this time but did catch a glimpse of the noodle dance at other tables. It's of course pricier than the typical AYCE spot but with Haidilao, you get more unique menu items. It also feels cleaner than other hot pot places. It's like my Mama always says - "What you pay is what you get!"
Our party of 12 (10 adults and 2 children) visited Haidilao Hot Pot for a birthday celebration, and this was our first time dining here. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and well organized. We really enjoyed the sauce, snack, and dessert bars. The lunch special was an excellent value at $20 per person and included a soup base, one protein (beef, pork, or fish), vegetables, and noodles or rice. Our server, David, was attentive and friendly. We did run into an issue with the kids’ meals. Since kids eat free, and based on other reviews as well as phone calls beforehand, we expected chicken nuggets to be available at the appetizer bar. Unfortunately, none were available that day. We were told multiple times by David and other staff that the chicken nuggets were being prepared, but after waiting over an hour, the kids’ meals arrived with fruit, a small drink, and mini buns (which resembled nuggets) with ketchup. By that point, the kids were hungry and disappointed, as these were not chicken nuggets. When we asked again, we were finally informed that the nuggets had sold out. The staff did provide four manually deboned chicken wings, which we appreciated, but clearer communication from the beginning would have helped manage expectations. Aside from that, the adults really enjoyed the food. The tomato broth was especially delicious, and the meats and fish were tender and fresh. I also liked the pig ears appetizer, and the shrimp paste and fish balls we added were tasty. The desserts were good as well, especially the matcha and vanilla ice cream. We’re deducting one star due to the kids’ meal issue. Overall, the food and experience were great for adults, but better communication about kids’ options would improve the experience.
