Sabor Flushing Reviews
Never visited this restaurant when it was just a diner now that there Dominican food on the menu you will find me there more often. Kids did the typical pancakes and French toast. She did the beef stew and I ordered baked chicken, Pernil and pigs feet from the buffet. Saved some room for the Flan and it was great! Good flow of customers that Saturday afternoon.
This place is a gem and a perfect start to the day. Service is friendly and fast. The omelettes are loaded with fresh vegetables and are *delicious*. Bacon cooked to perfection. The people are welcoming and kind. A sign by the cash register reads, "Life is Beautiful. Enjoy it. Take care of it, value it, flow with it." Buen Sabor is a great spot to do just that.
Friendly staff, and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is nothing special but the food tastes like I’m eating at a Dominican household.
Got takeout for lunch, service was super fast (under 5min) and very friendly! Portion is huge, I had to split it into 2 meals and very decently priced. I got the pernil with beans, very flavorful, meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender. Would defo come back for a quick lunch again!
Low key gem in the neighborhood for authentic Dominican food, go-to for this area in queens.

Guaranteed good meal everytime! I love coming here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. All of the food is fresh & authentic - you can taste the love! They are always accommodating to kids who may want one part of the meal & not the other. One of my favorites is the tres golpes (mashed plantain, fried cheese, fried salami, fried egg & pickled red onions) - it is always delicious! Don't forget to try their fresh juices & empanadas! I've ordered from here before for large empanada orders (30-60 empanadas) and they are always made fresh & hot. I recommend this restaurant to everyone, great food, great service, great prices.
Excellent Terrific food Great service Muy Bueno !!
This restaurant is a little gem for dominican food. Service is excellent, welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, very clean and good prices for mostly generous portions. If anyone thinks prices are expensive then they are just cheap people and not foodies!

It was alright, definitely not worth the price. Everyone was nice, restaurant is setup like an old style diner, with all sauces galore. The best thing was the beans and rice; immaculate. The ribs were meaty but had a sweet aftertaste which didn’t make sense for the savory plate. Plantains tasted like they were bought at different times; some hard some soft.

We go here so often. We love the food and the wait staff.
Food tasted fine but service was not friendly.

Way too overpriced for the portions ! Food is mediocre ! 1 thin sliced of salmon $8 ridiculous !
A place I was excited to see in the neighborhood but sadly they need to work out some kinks. Everyone in there seemed like it was their first day on job. Only like one person knew what they were doing. I ordered a Dominican breakfast and got just sausage and a mashed plantains.. where’s the egg? Price doesn’t make sense for what you get and the service.

The wife and I visited today for the first time in hopes of having authentic Dominican food, but were quickly disappointed. Upon arrival we noticed they have daily lunch specials which we were excited to try. We lived in the Bronx for a couple of years and are familiar with Dominican food and lunch specials which typically include a protein, rice, beans and your choice of a side. However, here their lunch specials include your choice of protein and one side; everything else is at an additional cost. We ended up spending almost $50 for two “lunch specials” and two cups of coffee. NOT A GOOD VALUE. Had the food been authentic and delicious, we wouldn’t have minded, but unfortunately this food was neither. To boot, one of the additional sides for which we paid extra, the potato salad, had an odd after taste and it was given to us in a take out container which led us to believe that it wasn’t fresh and had been sitting in their fridge for quite some time. We did not eat it. We ordered the stewed beef which was OK, but the sweet and green plantains weren’t very good…some of our tostones were raw inside and the maduros weren’t cooked to order. Our server wasn’t particularly nice, but the man at the register was pleasant. Saddened our experience wasn’t better. I’ll take a drive to the Bronx for legit Dominican food next time we’re in the mood.
The food was OK even been there a few times. But it was so very very slow. They do the take out orders before the people in the restaurant's order. We left after 45min when they said it was another 15-20min for our order. We just ordered two sandwiches and the place was almost empty.

Live in the neighborhood. Had many excellent oxtails before. Wanted to give this place a try. They are always closed. Finally today they are open. Total $29 for small containers, oxtail is $19 and banana is $9. The taste is very salty, not fresh, and overseasoned to cover up. I will not be back, is not worth it, more like a rip off. Very disappointed.
Ordered rice and pork and for $12 they gave all that rice and as you can see in the photo little pork, I asked for more pork and they said it’s going to be extra . I can go to the gyro man down the block and for $8 get my lamb and chicken over rice fully loaded. This Dominican spot is a rip off , I will never spend another cent there again and you should avoid it as well.

One of the worst places to eat around here. It’s a sad excuse of a Latin experience. Prices are different on the menu than what is rang up. The cashier/ cook was rude when questioned about the different price. He said that the restaurant does charity if we needed. A ridiculous experience. The food looks dry and unappetizing
They agreed to cater a family event. The order was done two weeks prior anda $ 100 deposit left for a tray of pork and a tray of rice with peas. On the day of the event when we showed up for pickup nothing was available. No good explanation given and no notification of a problem. They are the most unprofessional business. We were left without food for the guests and had to scramble last minute to find other options. Never cater from them. They should not promote themselves as caterers. Worst establishment ever
Lentil Soup was sour. Yellow rice was bad. Meat was hard like a rock. I guess they have new owners because they raise the prices and the food is very bad. I recommend pollo real on grand avenue. Terrible they don’t even deserve one star.
Terrible customer service from the man at the counter. My senior mother and aunt asked him a simple question about prices and he responded rudely with sarcasm. It immediately put them off and they left the store without wanting to buy anything. They said the chicken at the buffet looked dry anyways.
