Chops - Folsom

We stopped in on Mother's Day for a Moscow mule and cheese cake.... Mouth watering deserts and drinks manager greeted us with kindness and the bartender got us in and out in 20 min just in time for our show! We will be back

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, but I did like this one for a couple reasons. First, the bar. A Manhattan and a Kentucky Sidecar with the veggie flatbread made a nice snack while waiting for our movie at the Palladio 16. The drinks were good, not craft, but good. The flatbread was tasty. The 2nd reason is, Chops is a great place to hangout while waiting for your movie.

Great happy hour. Good spot for date night:-)

I ordered a New York Strip steak ($42.00) and asked for it to be prepared just beyond blue ( very rare ). I received a 1/2" thick medium well steak. I will say they offered to comp my meal, which I didn't accept. I did accept my glass of wine. I spoke with the owner and explained that you can't expect your chef to be able to cook a thin cut of meat to any degree of rare. The mustard mashed potatoes were beyond just good. I was just forced to have dinner in a Chili's due to my current location, ordered a sirloin steak, it was thicker, as or more flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Also cost me 1/3 of what I paid at Chops. I would like to compliment the quality of the wait staff, they were just excellent!

Slow service decent food

Not a very good experience for our first visit, food was cold and rock hard bread also the waiter spilt Ranch Dressing on the table next to ours and on the floor, the way it was cleaned up was awful, the floor was wiped with a cloth and the same cloth was then used to clean the table!!! Won't be going back to Chops.
