Kyuramen Forest Hills Reviews
Loved the atmosphere! The seating arrangement stood out the most. Honeycomb style booths so each one has it's bit of privacy. There is also a service button on the wall so you don't have to flag someone down for service. Definitely would recommend 👌🏿
Absolutely blown away by the Tonkotsu Ramen here! The broth is unbelievably rich and creamy, the noodles perfectly chewy, and every topping bursts with flavor. Every spoonful is pure comfort and happiness. Cozy vibe, super friendly staff — this ramen is a must-try in NYC!
I needed a Ramen spot that met specific paramers. Good ramen. Good service. Good price. All these will appeal to anyone, but for me personally, it's close to home AND work. This place is perfect. Ivan and his staff have time and again provided excellent service and ramen that has me coming back at least weekly, something I don't do anywhere else. Look at my attached pics. None are duplicate bowls. All of them were delicious. I'd say Ichiran has slightly better ramen, but considering all other factors (starting with Ichiran being almost double the price), this is my #1 spot in NYC, no question.
Very cute and cozy place, very clean and ramen bowl was amazing taste 10/10. Service was quite fast there’s a button you can press on each table to order, pay or just call them someone showed up every time in under 10 seconds that was amazing. I got vegetable miso ramen bowl and it was so amazing.
Ramen had great presentation and good flavor! Broth was a tad salty but overall good. The inside is very cute and the seating is very creative! Portions a bit smaller compared to places in the area. I got the mild miso ramen and amazing lemonade (was nice with tastes of cucumber water I think as well).
Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen(hot) extra braised pork - good soup taste, braised pork was better than the sliced as the leaner parts of the pork cut were a little bit dry, other toppings were good, bamboo shoots specifically stood out, noodles could use a bit more bite/chew. Overall a good bowl of ramen compared to standards in this area. Amazing Lemonade was a bit odd. Tasted like cucumber water mixed with lemonade. Not bad though, just not what I expected.
I stopped by Kyuramen and ordered the Curry Ramen and an Iced Thai Tea, and both really hit the spot. The curry ramen had a rich, flavorful broth and savory with just the right amount of spice. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the tender slices of pork soaked up the curry flavor nicely. It’s a comforting bowl that balances warmth and spice without being overwhelming. The Iced Thai Tea was creamy and refreshing, with that signature sweet, slightly earthy flavor that pairs perfectly with a salty, savory dish. The atmosphere was cozy with a modern Japanese feel which is great for solo dining or a casual hangout. Service was quick and friendly, and everything came out fresh and hot. Overall, Kyuramen delivered a satisfying, flavorful meal that I’d definitely order again especially on a cold day!
Got seated in no time at all even when really busy! Each table gas chargers which was great because my phone was on its last legs. They have little call buttons in the booth so more awkward interactions to try and call your waiter. Thai iced tea is to die for and the beef ramen was amazing. 10/10 will come again.
I’ve been to all four Kyuramen locations in Queens, and one thing I truly appreciate is the consistency — the service is always warm, the atmosphere inviting, and the quality never disappoints. Whether it’s Flushing, Bayside, Long Island City, or Forest Hills, each visit feels like coming home to a familiar, comforting meal. My staple order is always the Yin Yang Ramen Bowl, which beautifully combines two different broths in one — one spicy, one mild. It’s the best of both worlds. Each side is deeply flavorful, rich, and balanced, and the portions of meat and veggies are generous. The presentation is always on point, but it’s the taste that keeps me coming back. I unfortunately suffered a loss today and grieving - honestly, there’s nothing quite like a hot, savory bowl of ramen from Kyuramen to soothe an aching heart. There’s comfort in the routine of that first sip of broth — it’s like being wrapped in warmth and familiarity. Kyuramen isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a small reminder that even in hard times, simple pleasures like good ramen can make things a tiny bit better.
Very quick service with our food & taste was amazing! Presentation was cute ! Thai ice tea was good! Set up is nice! We had to call the server to place our order We had to ask for plates when our appetizer came I’d say when two people are eating you serve them together, but my friend got her soup before I did. Pepper condiments looks crusty We had to call again few times after they didn’t quite check on us. Feel like they need a female waitress to get things moving; I’d just say things tend to be different. No soap in toilet. Needs detailed cleaning.
The design of the place is very Cute !! But when I walked in the door someone was mopping the floor with the dirtiest mop water I’d ever seen and my nose was slapped with the most sour disgusting smell. That was a big turn off you could literally see the gray water being drug throughout the restaurant. The food flavor was good but the BROOKLYN location is much better and crafted with care. I feel the toppings were sparse and my noodles were kinda tough. I left review sharing my honest opinion to get a free drink. I gave 4 stars. The server refused to make the drink free unless I left a 5 star review. No where on the advertisement does it say it must be a 4 start review. So now they get 2 stars. Terrible service.
