I tried this place for the first time and I’m glad I did! The prices are very reasonable and the food is really great! I was expecting 45-60 minutes for delivery but it came in about ~20 mins!! The delivery guy was super nice and called us when we didn’t hear the door. The food was arranged neatly in a box with plenty of fortune cookies and sauces. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are big!! Amazing! Will definitely be a frequent customer. 5 stars for China Star! Thank you!

Delicious is an understatement!!! The best Chinese food restaurant I’ve had since I’ve moved to Florida. And it kinda reminds me of home the city of NY where I loved Chinese food the most !!

My favorite Chinese restaurant yet! Not only the place is extremely clean inside (you can actually see the kitchen area) but the food is amazing as well! Awesome portions and flavorful dishes. Their chow fun is so insanely delicious. Additionally their crab rangoon is really uniquely made. And their boneless ribs are always incredibly tender. Can't recommend this place enough.

Within walking distance for me and I'm glad it is! Best Chinese on this side of town in my opinion! The egg rolls are great and my favorite dish is the Singapore summer noodle dish ( Sorry, I suddenly forgot its name). All their portions are fantastic and for the money, the combination dinners are hard to beat!

Pretty good selection of menu items, and is relatively inexpensive. Delivery is always faster than expected, and the food is very fresh. Not what you'd expect from a local place to have market fresh veggies and choice cuts of meat used in their dishes, so its a pleasant surprise that I found them when I did. 5 stars, only because I can't leave 10 stars! First off, I'm from New York and this food does compare to New York Chinese. Very importantly as well, the receptionist that answered the phone was very pleasant to talk to. I live 5.5 miles from the place and they still delivered! They only charged $3 extra. We all know the average place delivers to a radius of about 2-3 miles at best. We had boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice and the sauce on the ribs is delicious. We also had general tso's chicken which was nice and crispy, not soggy and spicy enough, not too much, not too little. I have to be perfectly honest and say the rice is a bit bland BUUUTTTT with a little hot sauce and duck sauce, it's perfect! Not greasy or cheap tasting like most Chinese food around here. Highly recommend if you've been been looking for a great go-to spot, this is the one!

The food is delicious. I've orders the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp lo mein and beef with broccoli and everything was excellent and made fast and hot. Their pork fried rice and egg rolls with the lunch specials are also excellent. The fortune cookies are fresh and crisp and not the ones with the lemon preservatives. Best Chinese food I've had in Broward County. The prices are also fair and the portions are large.

Best Chineses food in Ft Lauderdale hands down!! I am extremely happy I found this place on google. Literally a hidden gem!! It’s so so hard to find quality food in Ft Lauderdale but this place is amazing. I order chicken wings, vegetable fried rice and noodles and everything was hot fresh. (You know they have good chicken wings when they come in the a bag) I ordered and delivery was really quick. Staff and service is phenomenal! Will be back soon!

I'm not a fan of Chinese food, but this restaurant serves the most delicious noodles and for a good price. I asked if they can make the food spicy and they did. As a vegetarian, i don't like the taste of meat or seafood in my meal; my meal here tasted clean and delicious. I would definitely recommend.

I have never gotten food from here until today and man it was good. I had it delivered and they were quick, so it was great because we were all starving. They have reasonable prices, good food and good delivery time.

Ordered from here because of their reviews. Well worth it. Was staying at the Bahia Mar on Seabreeze Blvd which is 20 mins away from here. there were easily 8 mediocre places in between. Arrived in 40 minutes and came straight to the door. Food was still hot and it was legit quicker than room service at the hotel.

My boyfriend and I recently moved from the west coast and have been missing the variety of Asian food available. We finally found this place and we are both extremely happy with the food. The beef lo mein is to die for and the sweet and sour sauce is real!!

The fried rice and egg rolls are always good and fresh. The delivery from the store is fast. Once we got the wrong order. The owner (?) was very apologetic and brought our order himself, without delay. Who does that? Will continue to be a faithful customer.

So I was next door at boost for at least 2 hours I was having issues with my phone . This place is a little hole in the wall there's no seating the order at the front door and you wait. Boy was I surprised how did the food is. I've been a chef in the city for over 40 years and this is one of my favorite stops. I ordered the house lo mein ribs, Potk fried rice. Man it was good! I can't get them more than three stars for the atmosphere because there is none. Five stars for the food and four stars for the service .

Haven’t had Chinese since we moved down here a couple years ago. This is as good as any I’ve had anywhere: bean curd home style. Reasonable prices, too. Quick service. Amiable. I didn’t go for the atmosphere, and it appears to be only carry out.

I pick up here all the time. The service is very prompt and the food is excellent. Everything I have ordered is very fresh and well prepared. I am not sure why the average stars are at 4, this is a 5 star in my opinion.

I've tried a handful of chinese food places around my home and this is by far my favorite place! The food was very fresh and crispy. The flavors were delicious. I always get honey garlic everywhere I try and their sauce is perfect (whereas others simply take honey and add some minced garlic to it). Everything I ordered was great. Definitely will be ordering from them again. Delivery was also very fast.

Everytime I’m in the area I come here for only 1 thing. That’s the spareribs tips. I don’t find many places in the southwest area selling it. Which is a crime in itself. They are so delicious. The owner is really nice as well. If I ever have to take someone to the airport again. Guess where I’m going?

Didn't actually visit the restaurant but had the food delivered via Doordash and it was pretty good. Ended up ordering the Mooshu pork as I wanted to get something that wasn't the typical General Tso chicken or Bourbon chicken and it was actually really good. The pork came with the 5 little pancakes similar to crepes and they were really good. The dish I ordered is at least 3 meals for one person, the actual value you get for your $ is there as well.

My food came out in 10 minutes and it was a lot of food! We ordered fried chicken rice 10/10 Chop suey 7/10 Sweet & sour chicken 8/10 The service was really good when we were ordering. Prices are okay to the size you get

11.30.15 In town at a Marriott beach resort. Read the reviews and the Chins Star had the best reviews. It was a rainy Monday evening. Placed an order for delivery. They said 35 mins. After an hour and 15 mins still not here. And they charge a $2 delivery fee. Why am I paying that if they load up the car with numerous orders? Finally after 1.5 hours it arrives. And still fairly hot. Driver said he does what he is told and dont complain to him. Im not happy with the delivery fee but must say in fairness the food was worth the wait. The Hunan Beef was very tender and tasty. And the BBQ ribs were meaty and not dry. I would say big woop about the free egg rolls except egg rolls are no good without house made mustard which I always ask for and never get but the Chins Star had house mustard so the egg rolls were also tasty. So even though it was a long wait and pissed off about the $2 deliver fee I give four stars. Otherwise would have been five stars.

It used to be good. Not sure what happened. Disappointed in the last order I placed. There was no shrimp or veggies in the lo mein. The fried rice was dry and flavorless. A few years ago it was a great Chinese restaurant.

Since Dragon Inn was closed we decided to give this place a chance. The food was good. Now don't ever order the egg rolls. You could tell they were frozen for weeks. They don't honor the coupons and come back with some lame excuse.

this is not a review of the food. i am just a delivery guy. but please dont put the cups with drinks inside of the bag. they still fall over and could spill everywhere. i drove very safely and the drink still fell sideways inside the bag. luckily it did not spill but was very scary!

I've ordered from here before but wow today they we not on point. Ordered two appetizers and two lunches. Could only eat one appetizer the other was gross. Tasted like grease. The lunches looked identical only difference was one has about 10 seseme seeds on it. Sauce was thick and pasty both were uneditable. $30 down the drain.

Lacking flavor. Won’t be a returning customer.

We love this place, My company buys lunch from here often. But, today I'm am disappointed! One of the cashier girls was really rude over the phone when trying to track the driver(new guy). There was a slight confustion where he entered the building. Also, Wish my Vegetable Lo Mein came with Vegetables. I search all the way to the bottom and it's just wet noodles :(

I have ordered here for years. The last 3 times I’ve been very unhappy. Just ordered Vegetable Lo Mein and got 95% noodles with some slivers of a piece of broccoli and a few slivers of onion. There were no vegetables in this entire quart except tiny pieces. When you order vegetable lo mein, you expect vegetables in there. Not all noodles. Extremely disappointed that was the last time. When I called, it was like the woman just didn’t wanna understand what I was trying to tell her.

I recently ordered from China Star through DoorDash, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was subpar at best--lacking in flavor and freshness, making it far from enjoyable. For the price, I expected a much higher quality meal, but instead, it felt way overpriced for what was delivered. Portions were average, but the taste and preparation didn't justify the cost. With so many other Chinese food options around, I would suggest looking elsewhere for better value and quality. While I hoped for a convenient and satisfying meal, this order from China Star missed the mark.

Ordered from Uber eats and this is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The hot and sour soup was not sour just like a spicy oil. Really had no flavor. Wonton soup was the only thing that saved the day. Orange chicken was also flavorless. I also got the ribs and idk what sauce is on them but it was NOT BBQ sauce….most disgusting sauce I’ve ever tasted. First and last time eating here.

I've been coming here for years ordered from door dash food came late so I didn't eat till I got home. While eating the chicken start tasting funny I looked undercooked bite into another same every chicken was undercooked with red blood as you can see. After contacting door dash they told me to contact restaurant I thought he would atleast offer to remake he kept telling me he didn't get paid yet it's nothing he can do and giving me the run around just being blatantly rude and unprofessional I'm shocked you be loyal to restaurants and they don't care anything about they CUSTOMERS BE AWARE.... I ordered vegetable lo Mein with no vegetables. The egg rolls was burnt, the rice was unseasoned and dry with no vegetables, the chicken was okay but not good enough to eat the other 3 ordered 6. Never eating here again. I prefer East China but they was close so I sadly regret coming here and wasting 31 dollars and tipped two extra for nothing. Threw the lo mein away too noddles was too dry already didn’t have vegetables. The time I came before that the spring rolls was nasty so I tried pork and shrimp but still felt the same. Never eating here again.

The reviews had me hyped but I was disappointed by the lack luster food I was given. The half of chicken tasted as if it was fried 10 times (VERY HARD).The lo-mein was tasteless and texture was super slimey. The rice wasn’t good either. I believed the reviews... don't do it to yourself. I was looking for a new American-chinese restaurant and I saw this one had super high ratings and hey, the prices were right in my cheat day budget. Terrible. 1. The Krab Rangoon...lumpy gritty cream cheese no crab. 2. The honey garlic wings...the honey glaze liquid no garlic, I doubt there was even honey...the meat was okay. 3. The general tso "chicken" =flour and chicken fat maybe rolled into a ball and painted w/a mysterious cherry red sauce that had no flavor...it may have been sweet &sour instead of what I actually ordered. 4. The chicken lo mein... it just made me sad. It was DRY AF, I've never had noodles that dry. So I'll assume they were cooked this morning an left in a big bowl all day and night and they only scooped out what they needed. This lo mein was flavorless, lo mein felt and tasted like regular spaghetti noodles covered w/ browning. While I commend the generous heaping of lo mein, I see why I got such a large container. They were probably trying to get rid of it before the night was done. Here it goes: The ONLY good thing about this meal were the French fries. What a waste of a cheat day! I ordered $30 worth of food. Their(chicken) Lo mein contains shredded carrots and what looked like wilted lettuce(definitely didn't look like cabbage). It was a mess. I was really excited about trying this place but...it was a bust.

Rude over the phone spend 57 dollars didn't even tell me I get a free meal with purchase over $35.00 before sales tax . And when approach when I went to pick up she said for next visit make sure to tell them and they will honor it ... She gave attitude . Customer service is what makes business strive . If you spend over 20 you get 2 egg rolls and etc for more you spend ... Future reference it's better business to tell your customer that spend over 40 to tell them they receive free things and not be rude about it when they are approached.

There is no atmosphere, its a take out place. A guy sits at the front door with a table blocking the entrance. I ordered the orange chicken, hot and sour soup, beef broccoli, and lo mein, i spent about $50. The orange chicken was gross it had sour orange peals in it. The beef broccoli had little thin slices of beef but wasn't as bad as the orange chicken. The hot and sour soup wasn't like anything i've had before and I order it at every Chinese restaurant i go to. I did enjoy the lo mein but they didn't give me what I ordered it was beef when I ordered shrimp. I won't be going back I didn't think it was very good and a little expensive. We even throw the left overs away and we normally love Chinese food the next day. I hate leaving a bad review but come on there is no way this place is a 4 star restaurant .

This was the most disappointing take out Uber order ever. No spoon or silverware though soup was ordered. No soy sauce, what restaurant does not throw in a soy sauce in a take out order? Placed an order through Uber Eats Orange Chicken and general sau checken. Got my order and very spicy. Called and so called manager said I will replace one and I said both. Told me to bring them back. I am not returning there and never ordering from there again. Manager told me everyone knows it spicy. Said nothing about spicy on Uber Eats site. Very rude people. I’ve been ordering here for years and today a gentleman took my order but was very impatient and rude over the phone as if every question I was asking him was a waste of his life. He kept gasping and sucking his teeth over the phone while trying to dismiss me bc there was another caller on the phone waiting mind you the call hasn’t even reached 2:00 minutes yet . In the middle of all of this on the call he confused my order and sent out a complete opposite of what I asked for blamed me on the confusion bc it’s so convenient to and to send the food back with driver or keep it. Spring rolls and egg rolls were bland flavorless just a 0 vegetable lo mein didn’t disappoint and fried chicken wings were so dry and over cooked but seasoned well gave this meal a solid 2.5/5. Will not ever order here again .

Visited this place today. The food was horrible, the fried rice had a weird after taste and the chicken wings seemed undercooked. Needless to say I will not be returning to this place. Additionally, I had stand outside by a counter to be served with several homeless people standing around.

By far the WORST restaurant i have ever ordered from! my food had hair inside of the food when i called to resolve the issue i was cursed out and accused of putting my own hair in the food. They refused to refund me and the cooks are very unsanitary and unprofessional! i don’t recommend ANYONE to eat here EVER.

I made a pickup order and part of this issue is my fault because I should’ve checked my food, but I always order here for some reason my boyfriend like this place me personally the rice is too dry! My husband ordered special fried rice w/ 8 wings and I heard him clear as day. We got home to eat only to find out that it was shrimp fried rice instead. My husband called to inform them that they got part of the order wrong and was told that he ordered the shrimp fried rice. The man that took the order repeated the order back but they still got it wrong. The owner wouldn't admit their mistake and on top of that the wings had no type of seasoning on them. We will not be visiting this location again. Learn how to listen to your customers and admit when you make a mistake.

The whole experience was terrible, including the food not being good.I ordered wings with special fried rice in which the owner repeated the order back to me and my wife. I received my order and then went home only to find out that he had given us shrimp fried rice instead. I called the owner and informed him of the mistake, and he told me that I ordered shrimp fried rice, not special fried rice. My wife said that he was wrong and reminded him of what he said when he called out our order. He couldn't admit his mistake, so we won't be going back. To the owner: please learn how to accept responsibility when there is a mistake on your end.

BEWARE! Ordered from China Star last night. 5 hours later my boyfriend is throwing up for hours and hours. I eventually took him to the ER because he was so dehydrated from how much he was throwing up. Will never eat here again. Seems like a few others in the past few months have experienced the same thing. Wish I read the reviews before ordering.

Quality of food has progressively gone down hill. When I order Chinese I expect it to smell and taste like it is. I recently ordered beef lo mein that contained absolutely no vegetables Chinese or otherwise with the exception of a few onion slivers and not even the slightest hint of ginger. in effect it was tough beef and Italian spaghetti that doesn't seem to be pan fried in brown gravy. Never again. The concern is takeout only, not a restaurant and you must stand outside at a window to order and sometimes endure the bums hanging around and begging. On the upside however the food is always ready when I arrive.

We have been ordering from this establishment from the week it opened. It was always a solid 7. in the past months it has steadily gone down hill. We ordered one thing and receive another time and time again. Manager (that we know on a first name basis)( really nice guy untill now) argues and tells us what we order. So sad to see a restraunt go down hill so fast. Buyer beware. Makes me so sad to have to write this review.

I ordered boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice and four pieces of chicken with fries and they delivered the chicken with no fries and the total was 22 dollars. Called the owner said he didn’t charge for the fries so you mean to tell me 4 pieces of chicken cost 10 dollars. Then to top it off to get more fries I would have to pay. As much business as I give you. Apparently you don’t need my business. I just called to try and order and the owner decides he wants to argue with me for what. Your food is not that grand that you can afford to argue with your customers. So please tell me how is it that 4 pieces of chicken just chicken cost $ 7.50 miss me with that mess.

There’s a reason why they won’t let anyone inside anymore cause this place is absolutely disgusting inside. The food is terrible and overpriced for the portion and quality you’re getting. Barely any Orange Chicken in my combo meal. Dumplings were mostly flour, hardly any filling. Even the fortune cookies were soggy and extremely stale. This meal was so bad. I don't know what happened to this place. A few years ago, it was pretty good. Now, so bad that I feel compelled to warn people to stay away. I would rather starve than waste another cent on this garbage bin they call a restaurant.

I called in to order a Jumbo vegetable rice with shrimp, husband picked up my order and when he got home we only had a rice of vegetables. I called in to let the guy know which over the phone I did tell him twice and instead of solving the issue he just started going off on me really rude!!!! No customer service at all! I always order from here and this just blew me off, last time ordering from here. If I could give customer service a 0 I will. Please check recorded lines of how rude this guy was.

Immediately the guy with the glasses cashier was very rude.. just asking questions about the menu and he say come on man ... Instantly fell disrespected just on vacation tried to find some good Chinese food because we do have the same place in Atlanta and it's great.. But here somebody need to check the cashier how to talk to people..

Chinese Star restaurant The boss who does answer the phone is the worst operator to order food from this is not the first time every time I call the boss to order food he have no good way in speaking he don't have respect he's not a nice person I'm scared to order food from this Chinese restaurants because now if I talk back to the boss who answered the phone he might put germs in my food

Customer Service very poor I ordered Mongolian beef and also chicken with steamed vegetables and a side of steamed vegetables and everything was just cooked in Mongolian beef sauce very soupy very little vegetable and beef also sauce was too much. I will never order from that place again.

My wife ordered us a large meal here yesterday spending over $75. The General tao chicken and sweet and sour chicken was definitely not real chicken. It was mushy inside like it was old and previously frozen and maybe cook at a low heat. The sweet-and-sour sauce was amazing. However, all of our chicken was poured over rice so there was sauce all over And we asked for sauce on the side. My wife also called and made sure they understood that she wanted no fruits or vegetables with any of the entrées meaning no broccoli no pineapple in the gentleman who answered the phone was very rude and said we don’t put any of that in our food and hung up on her. Needless to say the food came with broccoli in it and I have a food allergy. The Styrofoam that they put the chicken in was just melting into our food. At that point, it wasn’t even consumable. The shrimp egg foo young was burnt with way too many onions. The only delicious part of the meal was the one egg roll…. We won’t be ordering from here again.
