Stumbled upon this place by accident and it was so good we came back the next day! Chef Mike and the staff were very nice and the food was amazing!!

Cool place to take your kids and even better it's right next to funderdome so after you let them go crazy for a little while can take them to to have every kid's favorite food mac and cheese.

Great service from all staff especially when it is busy. Make sure you try the build your own combo and pick up a loyalty card because you will return.

I live nearby and eat here all the time. Mike is usually working and he is the restaurant chef. He’s passionate about his work and loves creating combinations. Super nice guy and some of the best Mac n Cheese ive ever had. Pepperoni Pizza Conbo, cheeseburger, buffalo chicken and philly steak are my favorites.

First time visitor from CA. Chef Michael made excellent recommendations, the food was awesome and a great stop for quick take-out. Definitely would return on my next visit to Fort Lauderdale!

The food is so good. Personally, I love the whole wheat easy on the cheese sauce with pulled pork, blue cheese, mushrooms and red onions. IPA perfection as well. Nicely done. Good vibe.

I love mac and cheese, so when I walked by this place I totally had to check it out. They have a great menu and even have gluten free mac and cheese, which is awesome. Everything seemed so fresh and natural. I am happy I stumbled upon this place, and I will definitely be back!

Where do I begin?? Well first off the people​are very friendly.spoke with the owner for quite sometime and he was very informative about their future and catering options. Next, food I have eaten here twice already this week and first got Mac and cheese with chicken mix ins as well as other veggies. And it was very good probably the best restaurant Mac and cheese I have ever had. Then the 2nd time I went I got a grilled cheese with Mac and cheese on it and also had bbq pulled pork, initially I thought it was pricy. But I never thought that I would have said that a $13 grilled cheese sandwich was worth every penny!!! I plan to go back AT LEAST once before we head back to the Midwest from vacation. If you love Mac and cheese or grilled cheese (or both) this place is a MUST VISIT!

This place is really cute and has a lot of different items on their menu to choose from. The staff is super friendly and they really do a good job and go out of their way. Chef Mike is also very helpful and kind. It was my first time there but he went out of his way to make sure I felt welcome and picked out a good item on the menu.

Tried this place out for the first time and loved it! They have two sizes, regular and large. The regular was more than enough for one person; I had leftover for dinner. The wall art was very cute. This place felt inviting.

Omg I don't know who thought of a restaurant where you can customize your mac and cheese but there's gonna be a special place in heaven just for you! We ordered mac and cheese with lobster and bacon. Also ordered the sandwich with the short ribs. The dish with lobster is so divine! Huge pieces of lobster claw and it's so cheesy. The short ribs sandwich came with a small container of tomato soup for dipping. This sandwich is out of this world! I highly recommend this place. 😋👍💙

Simply Amazing!!! If you love cheese, awesome pasta and the largest bowl of Mac and cheese with meat or veggies or both then this is the place. Ad yes they have the best of both worlds which is an amazing chill cheese with sort rib and Mac and cheese between the two pieces of grilled cheese.

While the Best of Both Worlds is delicious, don't pass up the opportunity to build your own grilled cheese with mac and cheese in the middle. Each combination I've made has been better than the last. The only thing that hasn't been worth it was the brownies. I love dark chocolate, but the bitterness didn't work with the cheesy entrees.

Went Saturday night right before close (like 5min) & was warmly greeted. Service was awesome. Showing up as late as we did I really didn't have high expectations for the food and just crossed my fingers. Well it was unreal. The sandwich was one of the best I have had and the restaurant will now be a mandatory stop whenever Im in the area.

My son and I went for the first time to I Heart Mac & Cheese and the food was excellent! We were greeted by friendly staff who made great recommendations. The vegetables were so fresh and were an amazing compliment to my vegetarian mac and cheese! My son can't wait to go back and my daughter was bummed she wasn't with us when we told her how much we enjoyed our dinner. We will definitely be back!!!

Went there today for the first time. Got the buffalo chicken mac and it was bomb. Spoke with one of the chefs Michael about the place. The inside is super nice, the price is right, plenty of food for just the regular size, and the selections are great. I love mac and cheese and this place offers some great pasta and much more. This place was amazing. The manager was beyond kind. He allowed my puppy to sit inside and even went out of his way to give him some water in a bowl and a few pieces of meat they were going to dispose. What an absolute gent. Besides that the food was out of this world. We ended up getting the ice cream, asked for cookies melted, and more and more MAC! Highly recommend going here!

Michael from the 17th Street location was amazing to work with. I <3 Mac and Cheese catered our staff luncheon at Harbordale Elementary and it was a hit! Everyone was so complimentary and went back for seconds! We can’t thank Michael enough for accommodating our needs and going above and beyond. Great food! Like the Chipotle or Subway of mac and cheese. Above all, the staff was very friendly and helpful! Chef Mike came out to ensure we had enjoyed our meals, and because we expressed interest, explained the chain's goals and plans for expansion! An enjoyable experience overall, we were even tempted to come back a second time in our short 6 day trip to Fort Lauderdale!

The employees treat you like family, and the food is ungodly good. Even plain Mac and Cheese will be your fav meal by the time you smell and eat it. Really enjoyed my late lunch. They even have salad for those healthy people, but with the smell of the Mac N' Cheese, you'll end up with Mac N' Cheese. Thank you for the great food and service.

I never thought I would come across a place that combined mac and cheese with a Subway/Chipotle style way of selecting how you want it made! I was blown away! WOW!! I got the Philly Cheese Steak Mac & Cheese and I am totally blown away. It is absolutely loaded with cheese and meat and unbelievably delicious ! The staff was extremely friendly and the store was so clean it was almost sparkling. I got the dish to go and only had to wait about 5 mins. Skip the line at Panera and try this place it, it's amazing!

Necesitaba un lugar para comer bien, en lugar de comprar comida chatarra carísima en el Centro de Convenciones de Broward, y "I Heart Mac And Cheese" me pareció un restaurante interesante para probar. Edgar me recibió cálidamente. El restaurante tenía unas instalaciones y un diseño muy creativos. Nada parecía fuera de lugar, y el restaurante estaba muy bien organizado y limpio. Pedí el "Best of Both Worlds", que es básicamente un sándwich de macarrones con queso a la plancha. Si eres indeciso como yo, empezaría por este. La comida fue muy satisfactoria y el servicio fue excelente. Sin duda, volveré aquí la próxima vez que esté por la zona.

Great idea for a restaurant and they definitely do not skimp on the cheese. And there are plenty of options. The food was a little too salty for my taste, but overall good. Will return/recommend.

I went into this restaurant because Panera Bread was PACKED and I was starving!!! I ended up being so glad that I went in there to eat! The food was great I had the Cuban Sandwich Bowl....IT WAS AMAZING!!! The service was wonderful everyone at this location was friendly, attentive, & professional. The restaurant was also very clean & the Décor was just adorable! Ill definitely visit this little place again when I am in the area.

I think you should try "I Heart Mac & Cheese". Let's get the meals out of the way first... My son had a regular Mac & Cheese, which is a great cheap lunch at $3.95. My friend started with whole wheat macaroni with white cheddar and added in the "protein" choice of short ribs for $5.95. I also had whole wheat macaroni, Swiss cheese and smoked brisket for the "protein". We were all basically satisfied, and we adults were especially pleased with our meats; my friend describes her short ribs as "tender and flavorful", and I also found my smoked brisket to be tasty and tender (I wondered when I ordered if it would turn out to be tough). My friend also enjoyed her blackberry tea with ice cubes made of the tea itself, though she did find it to be a bit strong, requiring some dilution with regular ice cubes. As this is a new restaurant concept, there's certainly room for improvement. I immediately noticed the saltiness, which I found to be a bit excessive (but I'll admit that I stopped adding salt to food 30 years ago). My friend also found the mac & cheese to be "somewhat" salty, and noticed it more when she ate her left-overs today. I had asked for "carrots" to be added as an afterthought, so it didn't get into their computer and they forgot, but that turned out to be a good thing, as the carrots were shredded, as for a salad, rather than cooked. I would really have enjoyed some cooked vegetable choices such as peas and corn in addition to (cooked) carrots, but everything I noticed was fresh. The other thing we noticed was that there weren't any contrasting options, such as salads (which could have let those fresh veggies do double duty). You wouldn't expect a piece of music to be all loud all the time, and a meal needs to have contrasts, too: cool and hot, spicy and mild, and so on. This extends to the desert, which seemed to be only cookie dough in ice cream cones. Comfort food followed by comfort food? How about sherbet instead? Or just regular ice cream. My son didn't really care for the cookie dough; unlike my childhood, his hasn't included many batches of cookies baked at home. The decor deserves at least a mention. It's kind of a mashup; with some rustic wood and wood-burned letters, wallpaper elsewhere and a fair amount of the color red. The center of the restaurant features a wonderful, irregularly shaped table made from an oblique cut through a medium-large tree. Some of the chairs, though, are clear acrylic, and while I personally like acrylic, some of them seemed a little lightweight for regular restaurant use. Later on, I whimsically wondered where the macaroni art was on the wall; I guess the chef thought that was too clichéd, but if the cheese gets a cow, what does the macaroni get?

Service was great friendly atmosphere my wife got a pulled pork grilled cheese which she really like I on the other hand got the lobster Mac and cheese which was really great but the price you paid for the lobster Mac and cheese was way to much I got less than a claws worth of meat and I paid 16.95 just wish it had more lobster

I had to try it but I make better Mac and cheese 🧀 at home. Average food with a few options if that’s your thing. They also have salad.

Got the lobster Mac and cheese...was just okay. The restaurant was very clean and the service was quick. I frequent the location in Boca and the recipes taste different. Not sure if these are operated by the same owner but could definitely tell differences.

This was my first time here. They weren't busy, however I was surprised only one person was working. On Google they advertise as "hip" which I'm going to guess means overpriced. While the food was good, almost $12 for a sandwich and nothing with it is extreme. I used the restroom and there were no paper towels. I mentioned it and we were there for another five minutes. My husband used the restroom and there still wasn't any. Maybe they just had a off day. I want to give them another try, but don't think I will.

The place has nice interior decorations so its cozy, but it was empty around noon :( The girl who serviced me was clearly unhappy to be there, not particularly helpful. The grilled cheese sandwich I had was good but overpriced, the soup - really runny. In my to-go package I didn't get a spoon (not a biggie, but it's not like the place was busy). I really wanted this to work out, but no :(

The idea was super interesting but the flavor was just not there. I ordered the Lobster truffle mac n cheese which was ok but not exciting or worth the $16 price.

I got a grilled cheese and the bread was so dry that it pretty much broke apart whole I was eating it and nearly caused me to choke/cough all over the place. I suggest they actually use bread from this past month and not try to recycle last year's bread. Also got the cheesy broccoli, and I must say, it was a watery disappointment. How does this place stay open? I only see 2 or 3 customers inside at the same time. Regardless, save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else for your cheesy needs. Just saying, Panera is right next store, and probably way cheaper...

Good tasting food served quickly. Reasonable price and good sized portion. However we were surprised at 8pm Sat night no one was there eating. Bad sign? Maybe. My wife found a hair in her food.

I see everyone here so far had a great experience and im super jealous. I ordered food for my family and myself from the Parkland location and it was our first time trying the place. Unfortunately, the food here was horrible. My husband got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese bowl and it was disgusting and he is a mac and cheese connoisseur. My 2 year old just got the regular plain mac and cheese. I ordered myself the Philly cheese steak mac and cheese bowl and almost threw up. The mushrooms were not cooked and looked really gross. It was suppose to be munster cheese but it was just american cheese and it was watery. The noodles were very hard as well. The meat wasnt bad. Im pregnant and for me not to like it, should say something. Im very disappointed with our first time visit and the 30 dollars we spent on garbage. Im happy everyone else enjoyed their experience, but as far as second chances go, thats a no go. I would give 1 star, but the staff is friendly and that's why i gave 2. Anyways, that's my experience and im sticking to it.

I love mac and cheese... with that being said I don't believe I'll be eating at I heart Mac and Cheese again. The guy who made our food was suppper nice, knowledgeable and attentive. The food is why I gave the 2 stars. The Mac and cheese wasn't horrible, it tasted ok but I honestly believe that I have made better Mac and cheese myself at home. It tasted very "fake" and after a few bites the excitement of eating Mac and cheese left. It's worth a try but that's about it, I tried it so now I won't go back. ✌

Interesting concept where you select your pasta, sauce, toppings and protein. However the cheese sauce left much to be desired. It is a great base coat for more complex bowls but as Mac and cheese go, is tasteless. If you are vegetarian or have allergies, be aware that there is a high chance of cross contamination. For $8.95, your money is best spent elsewhere.

I watched and waited in for this new fast casual concept to open as, "I Love Mac & Cheese!" I finally had the opportunity to try it tonight and am sorry to say that after all that wait I was disappointed. My expectations were certainly in check but nonetheless they could not get over my low bar. I ordered the Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese, ground beef, pickles, several cheeses, potato sticks (nice touch) and of course, mac. The concoction was bland save for an overabundance of salt, overwhelmingly so. The macaroni was low quality restaurant commodity stuff and too small and smooth for the sauce. I am sorry to say it was surprisingly unappealing. I will next try the lobster and see if their featured dish in better. The counter staff were friendly but on the night I was there their POS was not working and so they were engaged in resurrecting it. It was credit card only that night. (these are understandable growing pains for a new business but have a backup method available). They seem to have forgotten the "fast" in "Fast Casual." It was a good 10 minutes, after a 6 minute wait to order, before my food was brought to the table. Their throughput is limited to one small conveyor oven so if, as was the case the night I was there, you have a table of 8 in front of you there is going to be a bottleneck. The restaurant is appointed nicely, clean (well it's new) and again, the staff was friendly. I will give it another try but so far, I am unimpressed.

I had the Gluten-Free mac and cheese. I have never tasted anything worse. I asked for broccoli the portion size was so small I could hardly find a broccoli.

Very disappointed. We were looking forward to coming here for a while. Drove all the way here on Saturday night at 9pm and the website said it was open until 11pm. Door was locked and two girls were cleaning the floors and didn't even acknowledge us. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE! Won't be back.

I waited for this place to open for what seemed like a VERY long time. I consider myself a food enthusiast, not snobby, but will eat anything that tastes good, and pretty much the least picky person on the planet. I love food. On the day of the grand opening, I went with my boyfriend around 6pm, overly excited, only to be told "sorry, we are closed for the evening, we ran out of food". Um excuse me, WHAT? you RAN OUT of food? aren't restaurants supposed to OVER order for their first day? (fyi, I had been running errands in the area all day and they did not seem busy enough to run out of food, but what do I know.) I was disappointed to say the least. But, this did not steer me away. I was determined to try this place. I went back a few days later. I created my own, with regular mac, four different cheeses, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and short ribs with potato stix on top. At least, that's what I ordered. It tasted as though there was no cheese in it. NO CHEESE! at a mac and cheese restaurant? I PAYED AN EXTRA FOUR DOLLARS!! 1.00 for each different type of cheese, and tasted no cheese. The onions were undetectable. The noodles were limp and weird. They didn't even give me the damn potato stix. The only good thing was the short rib, which was in short supply, even though it was a 5.95 up charge. (oh, and speaking of uncharge, they are charging 5.95 just to add bacon to your mac. I didn't even bother with that.) I spent about 20$ all sad and done on this meal. And I was disappointed. But, I wasn't don yet. I thought I'd give one more try. I thought, okay maybe don't know what I'm doing. I decided I'd try something off their preset menu, because that's what the chef created himself. I tried that philly cheese steak one. Again, flavorless cheese, limp noodles, soggy pretzels, and undetectable onions. I will not go back. Not only was the food terrible, but for those prices the food better cure cancer. The bacon alone should come with the recipe for alchemy. I would much rather walk across the plaza to BurgerFi where they are consistent and I always leave happy.

We really wanted to like this place since we love mac n cheese, but this place is pretty mediocre. You can definitely make better at home. The place itself is nice inside, but that's pretty much it.

Ordering system is confusing and terrible. Mac and cheese wasn't even that good. I went next door to Panera for the salad rather than figure it out here. The guy behind the counter didn't even seem to understand what was going on. This place won't survive at this rate....

Was really excited about this place BUT, it was awful. The food was tasteless and even had a box taste. I think all their cheese sauces start with a powder cheese flavoring. This place won't be open long, I live nearby and for the last year they hardly have a warm body in there. I think these other reviews were done by the owner and friends. One time there and you will never return. The same results for all my neighbors that have gone their, none of us can figure how the place is still open.

Unfortunately, I brought this up to my companion the night before, when they closed an hour and a half early. They wanted to come back... The girl helping us leaned closer to nice than rude, but was in the middle. Regardless of them having NOTHING to put on my noodles (ALL of the cheeses were out (that are lactose free)). It's a mac and cheese place... I had even asked about the closing time, and mentioned what happened. "Oh, huh." So I got noodles, and they charged me for my olives. I feel guilty for thinking I deserve the olives for free. But I rationalize this as they advertise as being animal product free friendly/lactose free. They have none of it. They have hours, on line, on Yelp, on their business cards, on their pamphlets they shove in your bag. This should just be a middle finger, because that's how they feel about sticking to them. As for their healthy people, healthy planet style....everything has cows. Walls here, walls there, in the bathroom, on the soap, everywhere. They will also want to check if the men's room is American Disability Act compliant with the stuff stored in front of the door. I really didn't mean to bash the door into their collection, I just move with purpose and am not often barricaded behind doors. Original Review: Was super excited to come here. It's 2141, and regardless of what Yelp, and THEIR website says, they are closed. To be clear, hours are clearly stated to 2300 (1100 PM), yet they are close an hour and 19 minutes before. I should have written a review about this place a long time ago, but today I was finally fed up enough to write one. I have visited this location a handful of times in the past. It has never impressed me, but I work in the area and I love grilled cheese and tomato soup. My first visit here - my only complaint was that it took them 45 minutes to prepare my food. When you only have an hour lunch break, this becomes a major inconvenience. I did not return for almost a year. My second visit was better. The food still took a long time to prepare, but not as long as the first. My third visit was awful! The person preparing my food had to bring the cheese up to his nose to determine what kind they were - needless to say I did not order anything with Muenster or mozzarella as those were the cheese he had sniffed. As he’s preparing my sandwich, I asked for the cheese sauce - as I had put that on my previous sandwiches - he refused to add it and argued with me that they do not put the sauce on grilled cheese. I said I would pay for it if it was an additional charge and he still refused. Terrible experience. My fourth visit didn’t occur. I walked up to the place, saw the cheese sniffer working there and urned around and walked out. My fifth and sixth visit was with coworkers. Both occurrences were not awful. Still slow service (you’d think they’d have that together by now). Finally my order today. I am sick with a cold and did not want to leave my office. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup for delivery as that is my favorite food when I am sick. The food took forever to prepare! (On Uber eats you can see when the order is picked up, the preparation was most definitely the delay, not the delivery). When I finally received my order it was completely wrong! My sandwich was not at all what I ordered. My soup was ice cold (granted the delivery may have some contribution to that, but a soup should be able to keep its heat through a 7 minutes car ride). All I wanted was the perfect comfort food while I’m sick and during the years that this place has been open - they still have not figured out how to fulfill an order! I have this place so many opportunities to win me over and I’ve been disappointed by them time and time again. So farewell I Heart MAC n Cheese - you have lost the closest thing you had to a regular customer.
