Pelican Landing Fort Lauderdale Reviews
Great place with a beautiful view. Delicious plates and drinks. It's truly a hidden gem in the area. We will visit here every time we are in the area.
Fish tacos with sweet potato fries are delicious! 😋 Great atmosphere, positioned right on the end of the pier overlooking the water. Even had some live music!
The food was excellent. I had the fish tacos while my husband ordered the crab cake sliders. Both dishes were delicious. On top of that our server Raphael recommended the conch fritters which were very very tasty. Service was great and the views were breathtaking. Definitely will be back when we’re in the area!
Great views (as long as megayachts arent docked). Happy hour specials and signature drinks, great breeze blows through, sports on TVs. Nice staff, too. Pictured: fish tacos with side salad - lichee, mandarins, nuts - a meal in itself.
Great views, service and best ceviche in a long time can’t wait to enjoy it again. The buffalo shrimp are extremely delicious
Good place for sunset or drinks after Grille 66. Also a good spot to visit by boat (< 30') for a bite of food and a beverage. Decent beer selection for a hotel-owned place. Cool staff.
Beautiful view to enjoy a great brunch with friends on the weekends! Very friendly staff and good food and drinks. Mimosas 🍾 are on point. Crabcakes are 👍👍
Great atmosphere!!! Beautiful!!! Great servers. Great food. Best conch fritters I have had.
Unique location, spectacular view, good food on the intracoastal. Super kind and friendly staff, every time. Little tricky to find if you’re not from the area, just need to walk out to the end of the pier. Upper level is not handicap accessible, there’s a steep stairwell on the side of the building. The location is so spectacular, It can make even a bad day good. It feel like you’ve dining on,the upper level of a super yacht! Make sure you have your parking ticket validated by the waitress or waiter.
Great food great view! Happy hour is 7 days a week , 2-6 . half off house wines well liqueurs, all the beers ! Tacos are the best , so the conch fritters ! Parking is free , all you need to do is bring your parking ticket to the restaurant and ask your server or bartender to validate it ! This is a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale ! Definitely worth trying..On the weekends I recommend you to make a reservations as they get really busy.on top off everything there is live music on the weekends 💗
Came to Pelican Landing on a friend's recommendation for a good lunch spot near the water in Ft. Lauderdale and I WAS NOT dissapointed! For what it is (a waterfront restaurant), it gets 5/5 stars First tip: when you look this place up on Google Maps, it looks like it's in the middle of the water...don't let that deter you, this place is worth the short trek. It's accessible via the piers right near the Pier 66 hotel so I would go to the Pier 66 Hotel and then signs will direct you where to go. We arrive on a Saturday around 12:30 to ample seating availability. We sat right on the water to a beautiful view of the Stranahan River and the Lauderdale Harbors. Definitely try and sit on the water. VIBES: Waterfront vibes. You can't help but feel relaxed while sitting here. FOOD: My friend recommended I get the fish tacos, as did the waitress, so I didn't have much choice in the matter...the fish tacos were getting ordered. It's not too big of a menu (which I like) but they have a variety of surf options (given that we are in South Florida) and some turf options. The fish tacos came with 2 to the order and with large pieces of fish, topped with cabbage slaw and pickled vegetables. The side sauce was fire as well so top it with that. You have the option of fries, sweet potato fries, and a side salad and given my gluttonous eating the week before I came here, I opted for the side salad not expecting much (maybe some romaine lettuce with some tomatoes). However, I was pleasantly surprised! The salad came with a base of mixed greens, spiced cashews, mangos, and shredded coconut with a mango vinaigrette. WOW! I know it may be an unpopular opinion to order the side salad, hey I rarely order salads when I'm out because I eat them so much at home, but do it! All this filled me up and I have a pretty big appetite. Next time I am in Fort Lauderdale, I will definitely be coming back to the Pelican Landing.
Good food great atmosphere incredible view. Prices are a little high but for what you get it's worth it if you get there the right night they'll even be a mega yacht parked next to you
Great views! Awesome ambience. Brisket burger on a pretzel roll was a fave. Don't pass up on the conch fritters. Really great place
Really hidden if going by car, mostly for boaters. Approximately 300 yard walk from closest parking spot at the end of the pier behind Pier 66. But worth the walk. Great staff, drinks, view, and small but well done menu.
Great food and drinks. We sat at the bar and ate dinner because a storm was rolling in and we could't do reservations on the deck. Our bartender, I think his name was juan?, was awesome and accommodated my request for more of the ceviche juice from the app. Thanks for going above and beyond!
Hidden gem on the intracoastal. Enjoy happy hour drinks and casual food perched atop an old marina store with views of the water and 8 figure yachts. Secret spot us locals hate to reveal...
Love this place! I came for the view of the river and the drawbridge, and didn't expect the food to be so good! My son says the barbeque burger was the best hamburger he has ever had!
This place is amazing! Absolutely beautiful location and the food is phenomenal. My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. Ben and his staff went above and beyond helping us make the dinner a success. Everyone was very friendly and pleasant to work with. Thank you Pelican Landing!!
Service was friendly and personable, and if you love the water and love watching how the other half lives, it is a delightful location. "Art On The Water" left from there today. It was a wonderful day despite the rain, and the staff took everything in stride. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a taste of the finer side of the south Florida life style.
I went with my gf to for a few drinks an casual dinner nice clean vibe Great!!! !Views and service peacefully enchanted by the welcoming bartender and servers. Great apps fish tacos!!! Drinks perfect!!!! Alejandro was our bartender thanks For the great time!! We will tell people and be back. P. s the Sunsets are glorious there!
First time there and we had a great time!!!! Scenery was awesome and the food was great. I can't remember the server's name; a fellow New Yorker but she was really sweet and attentive. We will definitely come back and recommend this place!!!
Delicious food, friendly server. We got the fish of the day (swordfish) and fish tacos. Both were very flavorful and exciting. The sweet potato fries we got for a side dish also did not disappoint - just the right amount of crunch.
Been coming here for at least 8 years. This place has the best views and great service. Ken is great service.. took our table regardless of not knowing which was his and saw us sitting waiting.. sometimes busier on sundays... dinner time is a rush time.. so be prepared.. Never disappointed with food quality or ambiance.... great for sunset dining and dinner dining.... wishing they served brunch, though... otherwise great place!!
A little hard to find, but well worth it. We used the open table app to reserve a table on what turned out to be a super slow night, and we received a free appetizer! Sampling local beers was a hoot when I discovered that draft beer was a $1 a pint on sunday nights! Fantastic staff. This is a Sunday evening go to for sure!
Amazing!!!! A must visit. Food 5/5 and staff super nice. We had Tacos with salad, pelican burger and crab starter. All perfect in every way. View is amazing. Really a perfect place.
Amazing place with rooftop views. The food and ambiance were great and all the waiting staff were wonderful. Totally would recommend. You should come here even if it's an extra distance.
Delicious food. Great service!! A large party and they accommodated us without a problem and we're extremely attentive. All the food came out together and was hot.
Just ate at this amazing spot with my wife. We were offered a table but my wife wanted to be closer to the water which was taken care of once a table became available. We ordered drinks but i was unsure as to which draft beer i would like so i was given samples of the two i liked. We ordered pork meatballs and wings to start and were blown away simple food cooked simply. To follow was the crab po boh and i had the beef brisket all i can say is out of this world. Food was so delicious was so impressed. Amazing foodand drinks at a great price and very friendly accomodating staff big thumbs up from me .
I recently moved my Mother into memory care and I am very pleased on how short her transition time was to adjust (1-2 days). My expectation was a month since she was coming from another memory care facility. I chose Pelican Landing for several reasons, a well trained staff who engages with the residents (with Alzheimer/Dementia patients this is critically important), a exceptionally clean and organized facility, weekly trips/outside activities, decent food and a courtyard that residents can get outside into the environment without endangering themselves. Each time I have come into to visit my Mother (weekly) she is happy and vital which all that I hoped for. It is clearly very well managed.
First, I can say this place was hard to find. Passed a gated security booth, parked at the end, then walked all the way down by the water. It’s at the tip of the marina and up some stairs. Mostly a Bar kinda feel. Food was good, but the best part was the view of the city, water and marina.
A place to relax and enjoy your food. The views are great, and the food quite delicious service was a little slow that day, but the service was compensated greatly awesome server with knowledge of the menu. A place to ask questions about food with no fear of getting disappointed.
This nice restaurant has a wonderful location with a gorgeous water view. I normally try not to go back to places, so I can try new ones, but this is one of the restaurants I want to go over and over again. Because of their amazing and nice service Because of the phenomenal view Because they have a seating area inside and outside Because their food was sensational...I had the shredded meat, which was practically melting in my mouth, the pork meatballs are one of the BEST ones I have tried. Everything was so tasty. See you soon!
Near the water and fabulous fabulous Yachts to look at on the water beautiful and calm. Service is great. Alexia is a great server, anything we need it she came over make sure we were happy with our food she came at times to see if we were ok. The place was busy but she was there to make sure everyone in her area was happy and satisfied. When I come back for a visit hope to see her again. Thank again Alexis.
Highly recommend. Great pub-like food. Only a couple draft beers but they are local and refreshing on a hot Florida day. Except at the bar, all seating is outside and not necessarily covered so be prepared. The view is spectacular. Our server was enjoyable and friendly. The sum is greater than the parts with this place. Can't really explain why else I am giving it 5 stars.
What a great location! The restaurant is the deck and penthouse of a small building out on a dock with a lovely view of the intracoastal waterway and the many yachts passing by or docked. The food was good. I had the fish tacos with a side salad. The fish had a tasty spice rub. The salad was a creative version with cashews and a mango salsa. Yum! The service was friendly but not intrusive. That's what you want for a leisurely lunch overlooking the water.
This restaurant is perfect!!! Tonight, we dinned here and were immediately greeted by Rafael. The service and food were “Out of this World” perfect. Rafael not only was our server, I feel like he became our friend. He was definitely the guy you would want to take on vacation with me. The food was perfect in every way, cooked to perfection (nothing over or under done) If you are in the area, you have to eat here.
Excelente lugar. Buen servicio. Lindo paisaje
Es un sitio muy agradable con una bella vista de la marina, excelente atención y cocina de primera. Un lugar ideal para reunirse con amigos a tomar unos tragos.
Muy rica comida, excelente vista a la marina, buena atención y muy lindo ambiente.
Dining With a Fantastic View of the Intra-Coastal Waterway and Mega Yachts. This was my first visit however my husband says he recalls visiting years ago (he thinks). Located right on the same property as Pier 66 and across the Intra-Coastal Waterway [ICW] from 15th Street Fisheries. It is a walk along the docks, just keep heading towards the ICW to find the restaurant which is actually located on the second floor of this small building. There is a little confusion when you arrive as there are no clear signs that indicate whether one should wait to be seated or just seat oneself. And from reading a couple of the reviews, I think they may benefit from a hostess as this is everyone's first impression. Second impression is the phenomenal view which I bet is beautiful at sunset since they have a western exposure. We started with Conch Fritters which were great. If you are not a local and want to try a traditional Floridian app, then I recommend these. I forgot to get a photo. I had the burger and my husband ordered a steak. We love seafood so it seemed odd to us that neither of us really ordered any today, considering we were eating on the water. I have submitted photos of both dishes. The salads that accompanied our meals were phenomenal. I dinged the place one star because of the service which was not necessarily bad. For example, I was very thirsty today and apparently the cups are not very big so I kept drinking mine to empty. But rather than notice my cup was empty and automatically refill my cup, my husband had to find the water each time. I was very thirsty while I was waiting. And each time the server came, he would drop off without picking up the empties. In other words, he kept bringing cups of water, never taking the empties. I actually apologized for being so thirsty since it required extra work for him. Overall it was a good dining experience. Enjoy the view!
The view is fabulous, basically you wouldn’t miss a boat passing a river fantastic! I got a blackened fish of a day (red snapper) and loved it. But I guess that they are a little under staff and won’t check on you much, I had to wait a bit more than I expected to order my food, and I don’t recommend their drinks it’s just no delicious like they don’t have a professional bartender.
I loved the deck, the view and the simple but eloquent menu. Absolutely the best house salad I've ever had.
Beautiful place with all the fancy yatches around and spectacular sunsets. Food could be better.
It is a fun place, live music and wonderful view. My Margarita was just ok but the food was delicious. We had the Pork Ropa Vieja with tostones to start, I had the fish tacos with salad and my husband had the Mahi Mahi, we had a good time with friends.
The food was great and our server Alexa was amazing. She was doing it all. The bartender called off so it was just her and the chef. She did such a great job with a full patio and all with a smile on. We will definitely be back. It's worth noting that there is a very large Yacht that does block your view of the waterway so your view may vary. Good happy hour with half off wine, beer, and cocktails from 3 I believe until 6. It would have been a 5 if we would have had a better view.
Food and view were great. A little pricey, but expected... conch soup uniquely flavored and will be remembered. Flank steak tender as can be.
Great view, great happy hour! The fish tacos were pretty good too and the staff was very nice and attentive when we were there.
Been here five times, every time we go to the boat show or to Ft Lauderdale beach, love it. The food is very good and the view is awesome.
Conveniently located near our hotel. Small but tasty selection of food and spirits. Pleasant staff with views of harbour and a variety of mega yachts
Had crabcake sliders and a craft beer. The salad that came with the sliders (you have the choice of french fries, sweet potato fries or a side salad), had ingredients that I don't like in salads, the waiter was quite gracious and replaced it with a salad that was to my liking. Excellent service and food!!
A great waterside bar/restaurant. We had a great meal that was reasonably priced, attentive staff who were nice and cheerful. Twenty percent gratuity is a bit of a sting but ho hum I guess that's the American way things.
Staff was very friendly. Inside seating area was not too large, but was comfortable on a very hot day. Food was very good and was reasonably priced considering how high some of the other restaurants in the area. The bartender was great and had some great suggestions for more formal dining. Definitely would recommend going here if you're in the mood for a casual bite.
Really good food at. a great location. This is part of the Pier 66 complex. It is the only part that has not closed for renovations. It is literally over looking the intercoastal waterway. It is a short five minute walk from the parking area through the the boat docks. The foods is pretty good, reasonably price with live music on the weekend.
It's good food, and they really push it in way of creativity, so you can find some unique tastes here. I can see how some people can call service lazy, but it's not fair. They do care, and they're friendly, just kinda lack hustle. But hey, it's like island time. Good food, good drinks, good views....just take your time and enjoy yourseld.
The location is amazing! It's a second floor restaurant out on the dock overlooking the beautiful parked yachts and marina. A great place to watch the sunset! There was also decent live music. I would give 5 stars if the food was better. It was just so-so, nothing special.
We went there during the lunch break of our conference. I ordered the herb crusted chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. The fries were not very hot and the fried green tomato on the chicken sandwich tasted like it may have been friend in oil used to fry fish. I wish I would have ordered the burger because it looked delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. It was nice to sit outside and see all the boats. Service was sufficient but the checks were not accurate when split.
We tried the steak, and it was perfect. The view is fantastic, a beautiful place. The reason for the four stars instead of five it's the service. We got there, and the tables were dirty, the servers were hiding, they barely said hi. When it was time to get a menu, I went for it (we had waited 10 minutes). When we knew what we wanted, I stood up and told them my order. They did bring the food to the table (yay!). However, I had to stand up to ask for ketchup. And when we finished, I had to ask for the check. You would think they were crowded, but they were not. There were about five servers and one barman. They just seemed bored and tired.
Excellent location. Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was good. This is a great reasonably priced place to host out of state guests. The view is excellent. The place is on a pier over the intercoastal with the largest yachts you'll find anywhere just feet away. If you're looking to impress on a budget, this place will not disappoint.
Expensive. Nice views. Outdoor dining Beautifully situated on a dock among mega yachts in the marina. Food is good but on the pricier side. Come for the seafood although the more pedestrian dishes shine. Think fish tacos and conch fritters over the market price catch of the day. There are kids choices off menu - hot dogs, chicken tenders and fries. Validates parking. Listed as a good option for kids but the pulsating techno beat was overwhelming for our kids.
great location amazing views but the food is terribly bad they need to have more variety of food in the menu and hire better chefs that cook good food.the 3 stars is because of the views the restaurant has.
Had the brisket sandwich, it really was good. Waitress not so much. Whenever something came to our table it came from different staff. She seemed to stick her nose up at us when she did come by. Went back again next night for drink and baseball game. Owner seemed attentive but I seem her again and she didnt even acknowledge me. Blonde girl with thick accent. I'll have drinks elsewhere now.
Great place to watch the boats go by and check out all the yachts. Food was great. Service was not only incredibly slow but our server continued to forget things. If you're in a hurry, I would suggest somewhere else.
The place and views overall were beautiful. Fit perfectly with the location. Unlimited mimosas and Bloody Mary at Sunday brunch. The conch fritters were so flavorful and had lots of conch inside of them. The drink I ordered which was the prickly pelican I believe was like a sweeter version of a margarita and did not disappoint. There is only a few negatives I would say the fist one being every time you want a mimosa the server has to bring you the wine before you can go up to the counter and fix up your drink with fruit and everything else. This wouldn’t be so bad unless you had a big party like I did and it’s hard to keep up with refills for so many people. The other thing that bothered me is the crab cake sliders are deep fried so they’re extremely salty and dry. Other than that the servers are very nice and accommodating and the place itself is gorgeous.
Food was good, but they don't have much for menu options. The biggest drawback is the service. They might be short handed each time I've gone, but the servers always seem to be annoyed. Good place to check out giant crazy $ yachts, though.
Beautiful intercostal location. Food its average, not too bad not too good. Limited selection of appetizers and a small wine selection. Overall we spend an enjoyable night with beautiful view and weather.
Happy hour everyday which is amazing but the food menu is expensive. I had the burger which was recommended as "the best". The condiments that come with the burger was tasty but the burger itself had no seasoning. The conch chowder was on the salty side. I feel like they didn't accommodate for the bacon they added to the chowder.
Service was INSANELY slow took 15 minutes just to order a drink and another 25 minutes just to order food and constantly had to wait for refills and had to go inside to get the check and it wasn't even busy. I gave 2 stars because of the view and the waitress was friendly but service was non-existent otherwise I would give 0 stars we won't be back.
Based on the reviews I was hoping for some delicious food. Instead I found the food average and the ratings overhyped. Chicken wings delivered with sauce when we asked for no sauce, delaying one persons meal by 20 minutes. Happy hour and the patio were the best part of the experience. Ordered fish tacos, crab cake slider and chicken wings.
Beautiful view from the restaurant. But... Too loud music, we had to scream to each other around the table in order to have a conversation. The food was okey, but not more than that. And our waiter was lazy, did not pay attention and got us the wrong drinks two times. When we asked to get our drinks without ice, he came back with extra ice and said that was what we had ordered... Nope. Not going back there.
The view is the only thing worth going for. My crab cakes were mostly breading and the sweet potatofries were awful. My waitress Alexandra, never checked on my food, or checked if I needed an another beer. It was 90 degree and hot and the place only has 4 umbrellas. Everyone was looking for a seat under one. Order more. Wont be back anytime soon. Those of you visiting go to Southport Raw bar for a better experience.
This place was always a favorite until I went with a friend today in a wheelchair to find out that there is NO WHEELCHAIR access ! Instead, there are approximately 35 steps to get up to the restaurant What a shame and they should really figure something out to accommodate handicapped patrons, especially in Ft Lauderdale. Addendum: Ben as the manager, I appreciate your response (see below), thank you. However, the reality is, that getting to the actual restaurant upstairs, which is why one goes to Pelican Landing, is not possible if you are handicapped. Sitting at a lone table outside, on the cement pier that the restaurant is built on, not even remotely connected to the restaurant, plus on this day, staring at a bunch of yacht crew cleaning the side of their boat, is not my idea of fun. In fact, (as there often are), if there were huge yachts docked their, you would be able to see exactly nothing ! So, imo, for you to say you offer an alternative is a joke. You should at least be forced to make mention of the fact that you are not a handicap accessible establishment in all your marketing materials. Then at least I would not have driven all the way there, unloaded my friend out of the car into a wheelchair, pushed him from the parking lot, all the way to the restaurant (and it’s quite a ways as I’m sure you are aware) only to find out we could not get inside to eat once we arrived, for which I was very embarrassed. Not to mention also just very disappointed this happened , because as I mentioned previously, this was a favorite place until this incident. Lesson learned, never assume handicap access is available.
As a chef I know good cooking , ServSafe certified, the crab cakes were awful it was so much filler in it that you could taste it. The chicken wings or would they would cook and call them fried they were not tasting they the meat tasted old. Also the lemons and limes if they cut the limes look dried out. And the prices were ridiculous so I pray that they were examined what they're doing and make it better period because you live in an area of work in an area where there's money involved. people who have a lot of clout and would love to spend money would like good quality service. They were not professional to some extent. The young lady who was cleaning Whispering window cleaner and cleaning with a coffee filter cleaning the windows while we were eating that's not good. You have to remember that cleaning your must have chemical spraying in the area in which people are eating and fellowship and enjoying each other that's not good so I suggest that the management would react salmon what they do and how they do to make it better.
Food was cold by the time it got out. Service was terrible ( had to find someone to get water, had to get up to get ketchup for my burger, had to wait almost an hour for my food) when we came in and there were only two tables of people outside and no one inside. Staff is lazy, food was not even mediocre while being overpriced. View was great though, so I recommend going there for a drink and the view and don't expect decent service and you won't be disappointed. Won't go there again...
Service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour between arriving, providing the menu, bringing water and serving one appetizer and one drink. Then I happened to ask about our main course after not receiving anything for another 40 min and it ended up being that they apparently gave our order to another table. In the meantime everyone that had arrived after us had their food and we were still waiting. Had I not said anything, we would’ve been there for hours. By the way WE were a party of TWO!
