The Funky Buddha Brewery Fort Lauderdale Reviews
A very cool and stylish restaurant! The food is delicious! The beer is the best! Our favorite! We always buy Florida beer in stores. Today we tried many types of beer to choose from at the restaurant. The staff is very professional and responsive. Now it's our favorite place! I recommend it 100%! There are many visitors with children, all very nice people. You can watch sports games and enjoy the atmosphere, delicious food, and beer! It's a great place to organize themed parties, and I'm sure it will attract many new customers!
Very tasty beer! We got a promotion: if we buy beers at large drafts wecan keep the mugs, so we did, went back home with 2 32oz beer mugs! The beer was delicious and served with a in-house pretzel eveeything was more than ok! The place is roomy and we went when wasn't crowdy so we didn't wait and had plenty of seats available. Go for the beer, enjoy!
I had to walk about 3.5 miles to get to the brewery as it was the closest one to the hotel I was staying at. It did not disappoint. The beer was very tasty and the burger I had was excellent! Kelsey was a great beer tender and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. I will definitely stop by again if I am out this way.
We've always known that Funky Buddha has great craft beer and the food has always been so-so....not anymore, the food our last visit was delicious! We started with the ceviche tostones and that was so fresh, the fish, lime juice were the perfect balance. And the tostones were so crispy and perfectly fried. Then came the amazing bacon burger and hot honey chicken sandwich. So darn good! Of course there is always one that has to order a salad, but wow, that salad was amazing, we all wanted a bite! If you haven't been to funky buddha, you must visit and enjoy a craft beer, amazing food and now they have a full bar. So worth the trip!
Dragged my family to Funky Buddha Brewery for lunch, and shockingly no one disowned me afterward. The food was amazing—like, so good it almost made me forget my lifelong trust issues. The beer? Let’s just say it was dangerously smooth… the kind where you start thinking you’re funnier than you are and your family starts rethinking why they came with you. Service was great, atmosphere was chill, and overall it was the kind of family outing where nobody cried, argued, or faked a bathroom break to escape—so yeah, a win. Definitely coming back before my liver sends me hate mail.
SAM SAM SAM Customer service is top notch. Exactly the sales and customer service balance any establishment would love to have. I honestly felt like she could read my mind before I even asked for something. I’ve come here for years and she’s the reason I wanted to write a review tonight. Great job. Keep it up.
Sam and Mike were so amazing, I just moved down here from New Jersey and no bar or place I’ve been to have made me feel so invited. The beer was amazing and the samples were great! Thank you Sam and Mike for making my experience in south FL absolutely worth moving down here for! I will definitely be back again!
Funky Buddha is amazing. You usually don’t get two out of two. Great brewed beer and amazing good food (it doesn’t exist) but it does here. The atmosphere and decor of the place is spot on. Food is amazing. We tried the classic chicken sandwich with plantain chips and the eggplant fries. They were both the best I ever had. Service was quick and extremely courteous order was out fast and flavor was thru the roof. The train track is an added advantage to bring the kids and have some fun with them. I will be back often. I’m very happy I found this place. What a great experience.
Something for everyone. Tons of great beer choices, maple bacon coffee Porter is my favorite, plus lots of craft mix drinks and even wine. The scratch kitchen is great and the service is fantastic. Mike and Sam behind the bar so friendly knowledgeable and efficient plus my usual waitresses Ash and Alexa are always positive and great. They have different theme nights throughout the week and happy hour and free parking is a plus. Always a good time.
I'd give 6 stars if I could! I've had FB beer before and loved it, so when I was in the area of their brewery I had to try it out and I'm so glad I did! Amazing beer, the food was delicious and hot, great service, cool atmosphere, free parking and a great swag shop. Loved everything and will definitely be back!
If Funky Buddha is not on your FLA brewery bucket list, it needs to go straight to the top of the list! Then get off of your phone and go! Awesome brews, awesome space, awesome people, awesome kitchen, and awesome merch. Did I mention awesome?!
Hands down my favorite place in town! My entire family has been coming here for years. We love the staff, they're all always very welcoming. Chef Jeff with his delicious high-end craft pub food, beast in the kitchen, the crew: Julie Alexa Brook Will Manny Lo X and the rest are always awesome! And of course, the beers are amazing. Many beers cheers raised here, and equally at home with take home brews. Highly recommended!
Absolutely love this place. I sat at the bar and had a great conversation with I believe Michael. He introduced me to a few new beers I hadn't thought about getting and was knowledgeable about the beer and history of FBB. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the seasonal beers.
On Saturday, April 20th, 2024, I celebrated my husbands 64th birthday at Funky Buddha Brewery located at 1201 NE 38th Street in Oakland Park, Florida 33334. When I called to inquire, I spoke to Mr. Phil & Alex and Lou and these fine men right here made my day. I explained to them what I was planning for my hubby and how I wanted to make his day special. My husband enjoys drinking Imported Craft Beer. So, I thought this location he will enjoy. The beer here is easily you can gulp it down your throat. The Beer quality is measured by a complex set of characteristics which are appearance aroma, taste and texture. These are the indicators of beer that my husband enjoys. I made a reservation for a party of 8 and we had a wonderful time. Mr. Phil accommodated me by reserving a nice long table where I can celebrate with my family and friends that were attending to meet me there. This place was easy to get to, with plenty of parking and a very hip, casual cute vibe going on. You are welcomed at the door by there waitresses and waiters. Our waitress was Ms. Alexa, and she was a little FIRECRACKER!!! She made sure we had a great experience; she took the time to explain the menu and the flavored beer we can have. Our food was brought out hot and in a timely manner. This facility has a fun vibe to it, and you just want to have a great time. When I called Mr. Phil explained the packages and what will work well for what I had in mind. This is a place where you can have a blast with your loved ones, family or your bestie. All the appetizers we sampled were awesome. My favorite was the bison mini sliders and the pretzel bites. And you can’t forget to order their grilled wings with a variety of flavors…Soooo delicious. I highly recommend this place to celebrate any event and have a good time. MARIAE
Best place in south Florida for craft beer. Came here all the way from Germany to taste the maple bacon coffee porter. Best beer in the world! They have so much great beer, don’t know what to tell you! I bought some special barrel aged beer. Real looking forward to taste that liquid gold! Really love the atmosphere! The staff was super friendly and knows everything about beer! Every beer lover hast to come here! And also to mention...the food is also freakin awesome!!! Please visit this place!
We came for trivia as usual and it was the best time. Sam had great suggestions based on our preferences as was very knowledgeable about types of beers. The service is always great, you can definitely count on Sam and Casey to guide you if you’re newer to the brewery. Will definitely come back.
Stopped in for a beer after work, cat was my server and she was great. In the past Iv gotten the blackberry cider, but today I sampled the cranberry sour and the new pineapple cider. Service and atmosphere was perfect. The newly painted mural inside is gorgeous.
Great beers and food. One of the only local breweries that can deliver consistency with everything they have to offer. Definitely a go-to spot to bring friends and family when they come to town, or just to enjoy their events. Their weekday and happy hour specials will keep you coming back. Both Mike and Sam are awesome, very knowledgeable and easy going to get along with. Chef Jeff also provides a great menu which has never disappointed throughout years of innovative and delicious ideas.
Panthers watch party is crazy but the service is still excellent! I ate the candied bacon before taking a picture, but if you like bacon, it’s a definite must have. You definitely want to snag a pretzel too. They offer a bunch of options for topping the pretzel, but make sure you take a bite of just the plain pretzel. If you’re into bratwurst you can’t go wrong with the craft brat. Flavorful and the carmelized onions add that hint of sweet to take it over the top. Highly recommend a visit here!!
When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we knew we wanted our reception to not only be unique, but also laid back. The last thing we wanted was to rent a ballroom at a hotel and have our reception look like every other stuffy reception we've been to. We decided on Funky Buddha Brewery because it is a place where we love to spend time with friends and we love the atmosphere. Phil and Katie were amazing during the whole planning process. They answered any questions and concerns with professionalism. We sat together and planned out every detail of the night (time line, the menu, table placement, centerpieces, music etc.). Phil is very thorough. The day of the wedding was absolutely stress free because of Funky Buddha and their special events team. When we arrived, the back room was gorgeous. Everything was perfect. Jeff, the chef and his kitchen team are very talented. The food really is incredible and the presentation was gorgeous. Everybody enjoyed the delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Jeff made this amazing More Moro sauce for our Salmon and Blueberry Cobbler Ale BBQ sauce for the chicken. We still have cravings for it, Thanks Jeff! Everyone also raved about the beer selections that were made available to us. Funky Buddha went above and beyond for our special day and we are so happy that we chose them. Our friends still talk about how much fun they had at our reception and how it far exceeded their expectations. We highly recommend Funky Buddha for any special event. We would choose them again, no questions asked! Thank you for making our special day so perfect, Funky Buddha!!! -Chris and Brittaney Davis
Larger local brewery with a spacious and hip tap room. The beers are excellent quality and range in styles and flavors- a wide variety for any beer lover. The food is delicious- not your typical bar food. It is unique and the menu is paired well with the beers on tap. Again, there is something for everyone. This is a great place to get a taste of the local beer scene. They also have an amazing private room for special events and are great to work with in planning them.
So happy that this brewery is still making tons of great beers. It’s perfect for visiting to have some bar food and beers or for the educational brewery tours. It’s pretty family friendly, thought it’s only open to guests who are 21+ after 8pm. There’s a lot of covered outdoor seating as well. There are a few pinball machines in the back now, which is a big bonus!
This place is awesome! The beer selection is top notch and I never had it before going to the brewery. The food is delicious as well. They have something for everyone and this place is great for a day date or a small gathering. Someone was having a birthday party when we were there. I bought beer to go and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
A wide variety of beers! They have Wheat ales, IPA’s Porters Stouts, Ales and Lagers, sours and limited releases. I tried a flight. They also serve food. Huge screens to catch your favorite game. They also offer tours of their facility! I was impressed with their food choices too. I loved their wings!
My experience at Funky Buddha was incredible! The staff were both friendly and knowledgeable. Service was good considering the place was packed. The brewery is massive with lots of seating, games, beer and food to offer. There's a little shop area at the front with bottles and merch. It is family and dog friendly. Check it out!
In 2007, Funky Buddha Brewery began as an experimental craft brewery lounge in Boca Raton operated by Ryan Sentz. By 2010 Ryan was brewing his own beer and serving it at the lounge. In 2011 he developed the gold medal winning Maple Bacon Coffee Porter, reminiscent of a syrupy diner morning breakfast. The success the beer led to Funky Buddha Brewery opening a 20,000-square-foot production warehouse on North Dixie Highway in Oakland Parkin 2013. In 2015 they started offering food and doubled their square footage igniting a renaissance in the downtown Oakland Park area and the craft brewery industry. In 2017, the Funky Buddha brand was sold to Constellation Brands, a U.S. distribution company for beers such as Corona, Modelo and Pacifico. When Constellation made the decision to exit the craft brewery industry, Ryan and KC Sentz bought Funky Buddha back. As the banquet business continues to grow, they obtained a spirits license and added craft cocktails to the menu. Future plans include a small batch spirit distillery. I have been to Funky Buddha countless times through the years, most recently during the Small Biz Saturday Local Makers Market. Funky Buddha is looking better than ever with new murals, a comfy lounge area, and an updated menu. My favorite beer is the Floridian, a smooth German-style wheat beer with notes of tropical fruit and spice encapsulating what makes Florida so special. I always smile when I travel around the state and see Funky Buddha beer in a cooler far from home.
We went on a Monday around 7 and sat at the bar. It was pretty busy but the staff seemed to handle it with ease. Sam was our bartender. She was wonderful! She recommended we get a flight because we had not been in a while and there were lots of new beers on tap. Everything was great and Sam’s service made it a memorable experience, we will be returning.
Great food, great beer. The place is also designed really beautifully and it's so much fun!! Our server was Blue and he was absolutely the best!! So attentive and fast, even though it was full.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience here. Everyone is so friendly and attentive, the service is quick, the food is plentiful, and the beer is out of this world. My husband and I enjoy coming here during the daytime with our little one and they are kid friendly. We take him to the back area where he can play. There’s not many places that have the patience for a toddler running around. They have a flight of 5 pre chosen beers for $10 or you can choose your own for $12. There’s a big food menu especially for a brewery. You really can’t go wrong at this place.
Visiting from the UK to attend a wonderful wedding here on Saturday. An amazing atmosphere the staff were attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was excellent and the beer was so good. Would definitely recommend this venue for those special events 😀❤️ How about thinking about a tasting notes board for the beer behind the bar 😬😀 Thanks to all the waiting / bar staff and organisers for making the special day go smoothly and for their hard work 😀
Had been a while since we've visited but have already been here twice this year! The beer is always excellent! Great flavors and good variety. The food is also very good. Everyone enjoyed the juicy burgers. I don't eat red meat and have always enjoyed the different cheese sandwiches they've made. The Nashville chicken sandwich is pretty hot! 🔥 They have taken covid very seriously with ample distancing, no bar counter service and all food comes in to-go boxes with plastic utensils. They also recommend making reservations which we found out the 1st time and did the 2nd time. Overall a great brewery and place to hang out. Hopefully once this pandemic is over, they could go back to having events. Looking forward to our next visit. Cheers! 🍻🍻
Funky Buddha has become a cornerstone in Oakland Park for several reasons. The beers on tap are always rotating and are consistently good to great. The food is much better than your average brewery and is fair priced. From the wings, to the yucca tots to the bison sliders and hot honey chicken sandwich it’s all tasty. The service is a combined effort and works well. Alli specifically is an outstanding waitress and makes the experience worthwhile. Lastly the lively atmosphere and vibrant beer inspired murals it makes for a great place to meet up with friends or hold corporate events. If you come to visit or as a local it’s a great place.
Sam and Mike at Funky Buddha Brewing Co. have been absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, they exceeded every expectation. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made the entire experience unforgettable. You can tell they truly care about what they do and the people they’re serving. I have nothing but great words to say about both of them — thank you for making our time here so enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Beer is always good. Any server in a gray or black shirt is ready to help. Had a flight definitely worth it. Jitterbug was a really light coffee flavor. Blood orange always a hit and raspberry beer was good too. Had a pretzel, beer cheese nice and hot. Great atmosphere. If you are visiting or a local this is a great place to vibe and have a drink.
We had our wedding at Funky Buddha on 3/10/24 with both the ceremony, and reception in the Barrel room. The venue is affordable including food, drinks, and many other things included for a wedding and wedding reception. Jessenia the Associate Event Specialist was outstanding in leading up to the wedding when it comes to details, and provided lots of amazing suggestions. Joseph, the Banquet captain on the day of was amazing as well, making sure any request was taken care of with no hesitation. The food was amazing, the beers were great (so many choices) and the staff was phenomenal. Guests were amazed at how beautiful and incredible it all turned out. Thank you Funky Buddha for our best day.
Funky Buddha Brewery is the perfect spot to sample some truly creative and delicious craft beer! I love the laid-back, funky vibe of the taproom—it's spacious and has a great atmosphere for a small group or a solo visit. They have an incredible variety of beers on tap, from their smooth Floridian Hefeweizen to the unique Maple Bacon Coffee Porter. The staff is friendly and always happy to offer a taste or a recommendation. If you're looking for an excellent local brewery with a sense of humor and some seriously good beer, this is it. Five stars!
I cannot say enough good things about Tonya. Tonya truly gives a different definition to the title “manager”. She is not only crushing it as a restaurant manager, but she takes on other responsibilities to make Funky Buddha a truly wonderful place to hold an event. Tonya helped our team multiple times throughout our event set up as well as checking in throughout the event. She was kind and attentive and stood by us with open arms and helping hands through the entire process. Tonya is truly an asset to this venue and restaurant as a whole.
This is from a couple years ago, totally forgot to review then.. The atmosphere was great, just a cool place to hang. It's probably a bit different right now, but this was a bucket list stop for me. Known for their on-point stouts and porters, I was impressed with their other offerings as well. While we didn't eat there everything going out looked fantastic. Update - 5/2/22 - had a chance to get back finally and have lunch as well. The food was just as spectacular as the beer. Not much else to say!
Amazing brewery that has great food, ambiance, and beers. I have been here quite a few times and love it every time. Great place to bring the kids too with games and corn hole in the back. They do an excellent job with the food and have a very good selection of beers. The staff and service is on point.
Always enjoy visiting Funky Buddha and trying the seasonal beers. Awesome vibes and atmoshpehre, food is great too. We did the tour for the first time which was pretty cool to view the facilities, but the tour itself was nothing too exciting. Hope they invest a little more into the experience in the future. Other than that it's a great place to enjoy great local beers!
Great brewery with a huge taproom and tap list! We had 4 different beers and all were great! We also had an appetizer and lunch, which was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend the buckwheat noodles and the OB grilled cheese. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area. Just wish they still had tours!
Pro Tip; Order the bison sliders and the whipped ricotta and caramelized bacon strip apps on the side…. Add the whipped ricotta on top of the bison sliders… then use the rest of the ricotta as a dip for bacon strips. YOU’RE WELCOME. Truly a taste of heaven.
This brewery surprisingly has great food served. We were going to a city event at Jaco Pastorius Park over the weekend. Since it is nearby, we thought we could have dinner at Funky Buddha. This was my first time visiting. I was a bit skeptical about their food, but I always feel adventurous, and thought at least I would try it once. If I don't like it I won't come back. We ordered the hummus platter (appetizer) and Shrom Sammie. Surprisingly both came out very delish. We ordered Vibin beer and Floridian Wheat Beer, both were very good. Not just the food and the beer, our waiters were very friendly and explained about the food well. If you are looking for a wedding reception they can also accommodate the event. They also have plenty of space to sit outside. We got the opportunity to sit at the rail track side. It was interesting to see how fast the Bright line train and the cargo train were. The overall experience was 5 stars! I definitely will come back!!
Food and drinks.are always great here! One of our favorite hangouts. However I do really miss the awning in the outside patio by the tracks. Used to always sit oitside but its just too bright and too warm now.

We had our holiday party here and it was great! They have a private room and it provided privacy. The sliders, chicken wings and pretzel bar were amazing! Their beers are always excellent! Great music, great service and company. I recommend booking them for parties or just go to have a good time. There’s plenty of free parking and easy access. They also have tours of the Brewery and is very nice and interesting.
I have drank their beers for long enough that it was about time I actually visited the brewery location. Service was excellent and attentive even though it was a busy Sunday afternoon. Very large interior with lots of available seating and the classic brewery vibe with high ceilings rustic woodwork. Next time I’ll be sure to visit not on an NFL day so maybe we can enjoy some music and not constant advertising being blared over the speakers. Not holding that against them obviously but it’s just not my thing or my vibe .
I had a couple of their beers on tap at restaurants and then visited their brewery. I had a couple of their specialty brews Snowed In and a bourbon stout. I throughly enjoyed both especially the Snowed In. My wife enjoyed the Belgian ale and a pumpkin ale called sweet potato casserole. She was happy with her selection as well. We also ordered a couple of sandwiches. Mine was one of the better Cubans I've had and she had a Down with OP grilled cheese which received a thumbs-up from the wife. We both enjoyed the homemade potato salad. I highly recommend this brewery and I'm a tough critic.
It had been years since we had come to Funky Buddha. Back when they only had food trucks and no food served inside. I had a flight tasting 5 of their best beers and was not disappointed. Decided to pair it with the Bison sliders and have to say they were fire! Probably one if not the best sliders I have ever had. The rich taste if the bison paird with a goat cheese and topped with caramelized onions was a perfect pairing of deliciousness!
Really enjoyed our experience here. The service is top-notch, and our server was very knowledgeable. Food was outstanding and the beer was great as well. Not a lot of to-go options, but some cool barrel-aged beers. A must-stop when in the area.
Being a big fan of microbrews, my wife and I stopped in to try their beer. I ordered a flight of beer loaded mostly with IPAS since I favor them. We ordered hummus as an appetizer. All of the beer that I tried was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the Hop Gun IPA. My wife enjoyed the beer she tried as well. The hummus was delicious. I have stopped at numerous Microbreweries in my life, and Funky Buddha is the best. I didn’t have one beer that I disliked. Highly recommended!
Last night we met at Funky Buddha to celebrate my son’s BD. We were a group of 15 family and friends. The quality of the service we received from Aubrey and Joseph was exceptional. From the moment I called earlier to coordinate the setting, and during the actual event, the attention to detail, caring and promptness was excellent. Thank you Funky Buddha for making this a memorable event!
Nice brewery spot to hang out!! We ordered the whipped ricotta and was super tasty. It came with sweet tomato and onion marmalade and some toast bread. The beers were really good too, with a good variety to choose from. Service was friendly. The only thing I didn’t like were the chicken tenders. They weren’t cooked properly and didn’t have much flavor. Overall a good experience and I’ll definitely come back.
The service was fast and friendly. There was a good selection of craft beer. The whipped ricotta and the double smash burger were very good.
In town for some concerts and wanted to check out the brewery scene here. Came in mid week just before happy hour (4PM start) and enjoyed the double smash burger and some beers. Wednesdays happen to be buy and beer and get a free beer, so I enjoyed a second one. Staff was great! Attentive, but not overly so. Food was excellent, if I lived here this could easily become a regular spot to visit.
Table for 2 for Dinner We walked in without a reservation and were told we could seat ourselves. Within about 7 minutes, someone brought over a couple of menus, and shortly after, another team member stopped by to check in and ask if we’d been there before — we hadn’t. As we settled in and looked over the menu, we asked to see the full list of beer selections. The menu was extensive — pages and pages of beer options, plus a short list of rotating specials. We both decided to go with beer flights so we could sample a variety. When our server came back around, we each picked out five different beers, and we also placed an order for a couple of appetizers to share: the tater tots topped with beer cheese and the jerk chicken wings. As we were getting into our flights and comparing notes on what we liked, the food showed up — incredibly fast. Everything came out hot and fresh, and we genuinely enjoyed everything. If you’re looking to explore a local Fort Lauderdale brewery with a wide beer selection and quick, satisfying food, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. We’ll absolutely be back the next time we’re in town. 4.5 Rating Instagram: @whatsthenextmemory
Beer was excellent. Seating and ambiance was excellent...pretzel appetizer was not very good, just tasted bland, not like a pretzel... Service was excellent. Bison sliders were great! Recommend and will def go back.
This is a really fun brewery to visit in Oakland Park. They have a nice collection of their own beers from light to very heavy. You may also want to consider a sampler. I personally preferred some of the lighter beers. You can also order food which is a separate process which is somewhat annoying but nonetheless you go order on your own. There is a separate order and pick up area for the food. The sausages are pretty good as is the pretzel which is very good. You can also eat outside and watch the train zoom by if so inclined. A nice experience.
The Funky Buddha is an Oakland Park institution that seems to have improved over time. The micro brews made there are very good. It is a fun place to visit and you can have a sample. The beer pretzel is also a star in itself and tastes so fresh. Staff are knowledgeable and the entire experience is great.
Wife and I met our daughter and husband for lunch today. Plenty of parking nearby and restaurant was very clean. Servers were very attentive and eager to answer our questions about the different beers on tap. I got the flight of beers where you choose the beers and enjoyed 4 out of 5 of them. My daughter got the flight of pre chosen beers and enjoyed 4 out of five as well. All of our food was plentiful and flavorful. I got the Deviled Eggs (spicy) and Brewers Board, wife got the chopped wedge ( not a wedge of lettuce was regular salad), daughter got Folded Greek ( very large), Son-In -Law got the burger and he enjoyed it as well. Our table shared and enjoyed an order of Funky Fries Overall worth the drive : )
I rate my experience a 4.5. Visited Sunday 9/18/22 looking for a place to watch the NFL games, and i was not disappointed. Located by the train tracks, parking all around. Offers outside, and inside service. Good ambiance, staff was very friendly and attentive. Cool decor with a main dining and beer bar service offering a great variety of beers, a few selected wines, and a friendly menu for both protein eaters, and vegetarians. They also have a play room in the back that has cornhole, basketball, and plenty of open space to watch games. Sat at the bar, and considering it was busy the attention never lacked. Ordered the hummus app with warmed pita bread, carrots, celery, delicious. Tried the eggplant french fries with a feta cheese based sauce i was pleasantly surprised with the taste and texture. The outside felt like a mozzarella stick but tastier. For my main plate i ordered a grilled chicken sandwich hot, juicy, tender with small potatoe salad . Unfortunately there was no dessert available because it doesn't sell according to the staff. The other wrinkle in this experience is that it didn't offer liquor at all for cocktails etc, however i would comeback!! Service second to none. Excellent job!
This was our first visit. I'll give it 4 stars for the beer. We did like the ones we tried although we did note Hop Gun was lacking an appropriate amount of carbonation. The double IPA (stimulator) was very good. We thought it was the best. The food was average. The 1201 burger was good but when asked how we wanted it cooked, we said medium but it was well instead. The Greek chicken fold was good (pictured) but the fries were somewhat old and luke warm. My grandson had a hotdog and it definitely had been on the roller too long. Service was good, but not exceptional. We had to get our own silverware and ketchup and dishes remained on the table too long. The brewery was good and we would return again. There are a few things management could do to improve the experience
La primera vez que fuimos ordenamos el sampler de cervezas. Son súper buenas. Las alitas de pollo también nos gustaron. El ambiente es súper agradable y puedes sentarte adentro o afuera.
Honestly, I was over the moon excited to come here and it was a let down. Sweet potato casserole beer is one of my favorites but all of their other flavors are just okay. Their food was really great though. Their sliders were top notch!
It was my first time at this place and I like it! Staff is friendly but they don't check if you need any extra beer or you want to order food. Once you decide what to eat, you need to go to place your order in the back of the brewery. You pay, they give you tickets for your drinks and they give you a buzzer as well. Once your food is ready you can pick it up, grab your beer/pop and have a sit. I did not like their chips (I thought it was french fries but when I got my cheese burger I saw it was potato chips). You can chose where to sit yourself (chairs with high tables or sofas). You have options for entertainment with your friends like board games or if you want to be more active you can go to the back of the brewery and they have two lines with Cornhole game and some retro electronic machine game. We really had fun.
Great staff, good beer, good food... But you cannot fill your growler here! We Traveled in from out of town and carried in two growler. I was not allowed to fill either of them. They wanted me to pay for their brand growler, that some Disney level cheap. Oh well, they lost out on two 64oz sale. This is the only place that has ever turned me down with my growler.
Ok to be fair 98% of the time all is good But just think about this for a minute I order a smash berger fries and chicken wings Now I was across from them at there other business just south and wen I walked over there I order two raw burger patties for my doge (still at Tiki) and was charged $5.00 a piece per patties ( not the worse) but last time it was only 3 and change. When I asked about the different, I was told that they charge 3 and change if you add to a smash bugger ( which I did) but was told since I didn't order them with the burger I had to pay 5 a pice ( look they didn't even have to cook them ) You try and make sense
Cool place to spend a few hours after work, get your drinks or merch in the front, food and games in the back. They have a private room as well to book for parties or events. Food is good, menu is full of options. My only gripe is that the beer itself, although it's craft, costs way too much, some of these pints can set you back up to $30, and sometimes it seems like you can get the same product at resellers like Drizzly or ABC w&s for less, as if they pump up the prices at the Funky Buddha brewery itself, which is ridiculous.
The place is cool and the drinks are good.. but wow some employees smell really bad. My gf and I were eating food and this one employee walked passed us and we both made disgusted faces simultaneously and lost our appetite for a few minutes. Then I went to the bathroom and walked past a different employee and he smelt horrid too. I get people sweat while working but they smelt like they haven’t showered in weeks. It makes me question the sanitation of this place if they’re allowing their employees to smell like this.
Best hazy IPA. El Camino hazy deserves 5 stars. On that note, the worst wings I’ve ever had. Absolutely disgusting. They are laboratory meat. So gross. Get some real chicken wings. For the price, Funky Buddah do better especially when all your other food choices are amazing
Large venue, with popular beers. Exciting and unique limited releases- when we visited, there was over 8 different pie inspired beers to try! The food is all good, our table loved the Cuban and pretzel, and the salad was tasty. The menu lacks a lot of vegetarian options outside of appetizers- only a vegetarian burger and salads; but that can be normal for the area. The service was not good. Even when the restaurant was less busy, it took over 40 minutes and some rude waving on our part to get another drink. I think some of the staff were having a difficult night, but we saw tables around us get attention several times over while we tried to flag down service. No one was rude to us, they were knowledgeable and friendly but maybe need an adjustment in the way they serve tables (any waiter can serve anywhere). We wanted to buy some merchandise on the way out- really nice merchandise counter with all sorts of vibrant accessories and shirts- but felt like we wouldn’t be able to get any bell so just left in the end. We’ll probably visit again and give it another chance for the good food and beer, but even though the place was half full maybe we would only come on weekday.
Truly the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. My friend and I came in, were told to seat ourselves. We watched multiple servers look at our table and simply walk away. We are both bartenders so we get it but after 20 minutes we weren’t helped until I had to approach a girl who was so out of it she seemed like she was on Xanex. Side note: If you don’t want to smile or be hospitable, don’t be in the hospitality industry. She should be fired. She unfortunately became our server and not only never checked on us, but I had to walk over to the server well 3x to get helped by her. Multiple times she looked straight at us with empty drinks and walked back over to the well to stare at the wall. We started playing a game where we guessed how many times she would ignore us until I had to get up and go ask for service. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is the food and beer was good and Nico, I believe his name was, saved the interaction. We watched him literally walk around and pick up the slack of our server until he ended up being the person to close out our meal. I really hope he was the server who got the tip out because we almost walked out without paying. That’s how appalling this was. Fire Wednesday Addams immediately.
The Beers were ok, the food (burgers) also ok but not great. The service at the beginning was good but the thing is We feel the trick whenever they can. We order twice the Wednesday offer in wich you get a beer for any burger we reminded him twice that we were there for that offer Then at 21:00 he was gone and another girl at the bar was serving us. ir order ONE whisky shot and she poured me a double, I said ok, an honest mistake. My friend asked for another beer The tricky part is that when we asked for the bill, se just told us the total but dis not print it. So again we just split in 2 and paid but I thought 88,00 was too much and has to ask her if she could print me the bill wich she did in another printer and not in a good mood. We left and already driving home i Notice they didn’t gave us the promotion, they charged the three bears and 12 buck for the shot of whisky. Honestly I think she tricked us doing every thing she coudl to charge us more and not printing the bill. Wont come back
A good place to have a beer with friends. They have an ample selection of beers that can be combined with their food menu. The hamburgers are just average, nothing extraordinary. Kids menu available. Live music is available on Fridays but it can be loud, mind it if you intend to have lengthy conversations. Outdoor seating available Days later I noticed that I was overcharged $16, the waitress should've been more careful.
Pretty good food and drinks and the service is decent too. However, the live music is way too loud. Should probably be turned down 25-30%. (nothing against the band, they’re actually pretty good) Would be 5 star otherwise.
I came in there yesterday with my family around 1:30 we had actually came in the day before and enjoyed a couple beers the service was slow but the beer was good so we stopped by again before heading to the airport. There were two tables and a few people sitting at the bar. We came in the server looked at us and then ignored us while she cleaned off a bunch of tables, went to the bathroom, and chatted with the bartender without even greeting us. After about ten minutes my fiancé went up the bar rail to order our drinks and the bartender ignored her cleaned glasses and took care of other customers. Finally after another ten minutes had gone by she told my fiancé that she'd " be right with her " then tracked down the server and had her finally take our order twenty minutes into waiting. Then we sat and watched as they chatted some more cleaned more glasses wiped off a few more tables until our server about ten minutes later realized we hadn't gotten our two beers we ordered and went behind the bar grabbed them handed them to us and said " cheers " without an apology after waiting thirty minutes for two beers. We then went and sat outside and were very annoyed. When I came back in to pay the tab to the bartender (because we didn't have twenty minutes to wait on the server to clean the entire restaurant before serving us) I was then ignored and waited 15 minutes. This was the worst service i've ever had at a brewery/bar. I have also never not tipped at an establishment except for this one. My fiancé is a bartender and we tip very well even with bad service but this was horrible. I will not be back and personally think they should look into how people are being treated considering i also didn't see a manager there in both days i visited.
Been enjoying funky buddha for years. Came today and was severely disappointed. Spoke to 3 different servers letting them know we were ready to order and sitting outside. Long story short, 45 minutes later we decided to take our business elsewhere. No one ever came up to us to take our order and several servers passed us by. With all of the restaurants and breweries around I'd prefer to go somewhere where my business is appreciated.
