I tried the lunch special, the meatloaf, green beans and mashed potato salad, were delicious, it includes the drink. My hubs had a BBQ plate that met his approval. Dessert was tea cakes and 7-up cake. Funky old building but everything was clean. We'll be back as it's extremely convenient to the medical center. Lovely folks.

My second visit in as many days. I had the chicken spaghetti yesterday had the catfish today with red beans and fried okra. It comes out hot and the portions are big man-sized. Then I find out that Mama E (Edmonds)is actually doing the cooking🔥🔥🔥!!

Mamas cooking was on point. I had smothered pork chops, green beans and baked beans. Everything was homemade. Felt like I was at mamas house grabbing a plate. Mmmm good go try it for real.

Limited menu but delicious food! The food was serve hot and was amazing. The portion sizes were large enough to take some home a d good for the value. I will absolutely be back here.

I rate it 10 out of 5 because its twice as good as I could explain it to you! You just have to try it yourself to understand what I m talking about. And shes one who knows Christ, proves it with Scriptures she has wrote about the place. Alot of ppl today wont openly claim that they follow Christ because chance it might offend someone ,not her and for that I give her another 10! You go Mama E, you have a new life customer.

I knew Mama E’s would be good but it was more than good. I had the Sliced Brisket Plate. The brisket was cooked perfectly, very tender, and the bbq was to die for. The fried okra was made to order and seasoned to perfection. Mama E and Curtis are some of the nicest people you could meet as well!

My son and I were driving by and we decided to stop by and try it out everything was nothing short of amazing from the food to the amazing service. I am from Louisiana and it is so hard to find a place where there is actual home cooked food that taste amazing and mama E has accomplished that for me. I am actually about to go back now to try more of her amazing food ❤️

Mama, & her grand daughter took care of me on my first visit, I like that she has a BBq menu but also has a home cooking side too. I order from home side & definitely took the kool aid drink . I would recommend to others

The food was Amazing had the pork chop plate with black eye peas and greens with watermelon Kool aid. Only wish there was a bit more sides. That's why 4 stars but the flavor ...... will go again.

Time proven classic soul food right on the corner of 35W and Rosedale. Handwritten specials on a dry erase board today were breaded pork chops and barbecue smoked turkey legs. Phenomenal! Just as amazing were the sides.. cooked greens, yams, fried okra. They have daily specials as well. Super duper sweet lemonade, tea and Kool aid. Don't forget to try the teacakes! They're not GF but I'm told they are delish.

Good food and good service. We Shared a 3 meat plate and large kool-aid for $20. They have home cooked meals as well so be sure to ask about those at the register (I think these change daily). Today they had meatloaf, spaghetti and meatballs and fried pork chops.

The older lady was super nice and helpful explaining the menu and what they had. I was not happy with the food. The cornbread dressing was a bit overcooked and tasted mostly like cornbread but not dressing. The brisket was overcooked and greasy. I have a super sensitive stomach so I won't be going back. If I do go back to try them on another day, it will only be because i had great customer service.

Mama E’s BBQ service was really great and the kool-aid was on point but the ribs, miracle salad( it was suppose to be potato salad🤢) and the peach cobbler was GREY! I didn’t even attempt to eat that. The ribs tasted boiled and old. A waste of money. They could’ve just gave me 7 kool-aids. I must say the chopped beef sandwich didn’t make it to the expressway lol. It was good 👍

No cars in parking lot at noon, but thought I'd try it anyway bc I like small, family owned places. Tiny servings, each dish had zero flavor and super fatty brisket (I asked for lean) covered in watery bbq sauce. Very friendly staff though.

I came here because I saw good reviews before covid. Something g had to change because this is by far the worst place I ever had. Food in Vietnam is probably better. Food is 3 says old minimum
