Rusty Taco Fort Worth Reviews
This place has such a great staff. Everyone that’s ever helped me here has such a great attitude and menu knowledge. I have some food allergies and they can always steer me in the right direction and know they’ll do their best to avoid any cross contamination. One of my favorite spots on Camp Bowie!
Ordered out but definitely eating in next time. The food was ready to pick up in less than 10 mins from ordering. I judge Mexican food restaurants based on how well their salsa tastes and this salsa was great!! Birria tacos were really good too.
I’d heard about the great tacos and margaritas here for months, but since I live in Austin, it took a while to get here. It was worth the wait! We had some chips and queso first, then the fish taco and the BBQ brisket one, along with a couple of rounds of margaritas. Everything was delicious! There’s a tv at the far end that was playing a football game.
Tacos are the theme, the script, the storyboard, and the production. It's no nonsense. It's is . . . what it is. It doesn't know the questions to ask. You bite them. You chew them up. Then, you swallow them and what next is, you chase them with a cold beer on tap or a cheap margarita. That's all I got, man. Btw, Rusty Tacos are located throughout North Texas.
I tried Rusty Taco today for breakfast. It's in the Ridglea area off Camp Bowie (which reminds me a bit of The French Quarter in New Orleans). It's such a nice area of Fort Worth. Anyways, I decided on the bacon taco, chorizo taco, and jalapeño sausage taco. All breakfast tacos come with egg & cheese. I also got a mango margarita. Their drinks are offered with "the cheap stuff" or "the good stuff", but let me tell ya: the cheap stuff is still strong! The tacos came out looking good. The salsa choices are mild, medium, and hot, but I'd have to say the mild is much spicier than the medium sauce (which I loved). The jalapeño sausage taco was a little disappointing (wasn't a fan of the flavor), but that chorizo taco is where it's at - it was SO good! It was about $20 for just myself with the 3 tacos & "cheap stuff" margarita. Outdoor seating is available which will be great with this cooler weather we are starting to get!
This place is fantastic! Never been here and not gotten good service! These guys are on their game. The margaritas are great and the food is on point. Happy hour from 4-7 with 3$ half priced well margs and 6$ top shelf. Very delicious. But Salvador and Austin really tied the place together with their outstanding customer service and menu knowledge! Thanks Rusty Taco! We love ya!
Great food and above all great staff. The cashier was really friendly and helpful :) He made us feel confident with our choices(we are super indecisive people haha) ! I recommend getting their breakfast tacos. I think that Rusty's tacos are fairly priced, and the tacos come in a good size. We ordered the fish tacos (bottom, left), potato egg and cheese (top), and bacon egg and cheese (right).
Great food and good tacos. They’re “street” tacos so a little on the small side which is normal. Order an extra if you’re really hungry. Chips and queso are above average. Smooth and creamy. The orange habanero hot sauce will make your nose run. Use that judiciously! Also parking is a giant PITA, but I can't hold that against the quality of the food.
For the price, I’m going to give it 5 stars. We’ve had a lot of tacos in Fort Worth, and I don’t know of anywhere else with $2.50 tacos. The queso was good and cheap, and the elote had a nice kick to it. Plus, the patio is dog friendly, and they even brought out water bowls for our boys. We’ll definitely be coming back here after trips to the dog park!
Inside the Ridglea Village Shopping Center, (and right next to our masseuse and chiropractor) lies Rusty's Taco! I had some time to kill, so suddenly it was "Taco Time". Nice environment to dine in, or out, on their warm and sunny patio. I chose from the new specialty menu and ended up with the Green Street Taco. The pork with all those flavors were outstanding and that flour tortilla..yummy! Washed it down with an ice cold Coca-Cola in a large glass bottle! Nice job Rusty...see ya again soon 🤙
I have been to a couple of these locations around the DFW area and never even realized there was one on Camp Bowie Blvd in Fort Worth. Well, that is the one that my son and I went to today. Rusty Taco shop is similar to many of the gourmet, single order taco venues that have really become popular in recent years, however there is a few distinctions about them that make this place worth the visit. For starters, the food is fantastic. Every taco has a distinct, robust flavor and some even have minor variations that change the taste entirely. Second, the service is usually lightening fast. Often, before I can get my drink filled, my food is waiting for me at the table. Finally, they are reasonable. Where some taco shops start at better than $5 or $6 a taco, Rusty's begins their offerings at around $3 and they compare just fine to the more expensive versions. Also, at the shop on Camp Bowie, located just across from the old Ridglea Theater, the service there is top notch, always friendly and always prompt. When you find yourself on the west side of Fort Worth and you have a hankering for some specialty tacos, a stop by Rusty Taco is well recommended.
I haven't been to a Rusty Taco in years, and have never been to the one on Camp Bowie. Great food. Bad service. We weren't greeted when we came in. Stared at the menu for a couple of minutes. Young man at counter still didn't say anything. I asked "How does this work? Do you have combos, do you order a-la-carte, etc." He just stared at me. Finally ordered. We were outside and were told they would bring it to us. They gave us a number. After at least 15 minutes my wife went inside to check on our order. It was just sitting on the counter. There were maybe 3 other tables in the restaurant. Again, loved the food.
My sister in law and I picked up our order of a Baja bowl and I had the shrimp combo taco meal . Right away , when I opened my taco from the foil the shrimp smelled odd. I took a bite . The shrimp was blue along with the cabbage..after I took my bite I immediately had to go to the restaurant because it upset my stomach! Food quality was not there at all ! Will not be going back
