Strizzis Fremont Reviews
Excellent food and service. Indoor and Outdoor dining service available. Menu has plenty of options. I've been here twice and both times my server was very responsive to answering questions, making suggestions, and filling requests, and they checked in occasionally to be sure everything was ok and ask if we needed anything. I ate outdoors both times and the tables are spaced far enough apart that you feel comfortable in moving around freely, having conversational space without having your neighbors' conversations compete with yours, and provide sufficient social distancing. Seating is adequate for heavier persons. Very clean environment, though they worry about the natural dust landing on their glass tabletops making it look not so clean. But I can tell the difference between a table not adequately washed free of food matter and a little bit of dust. I've not dined indoors, but it appears to be a cozy environment with dimmer lighting. Seating is still spaced far enough apart to feel comfortable. The prices are a bit higher here, but the environment, quality and quantity of food, and great service make every penny spent worth it. My only warning is that the heaters were all stolen from their outdoor patio, so if the weather is cooler you might want to consider eating indoors.
My sister n law choose to come to this location on Sunday 11-3 to celebrate her birthday. We had a medium size group of 8 and got seated quickly when we arrived at 3pm. Our server was nice and took out drink orders and explained the specials. We ordered fried zucchini and fried cheese sticks as an appetizer and that was very tasty. My main entree with ravioli ricotta with spinach and roasted peppers and the cheese was really really good. My family and friends enjoyed our time, we will return!!
When I really want a decent meal, where the manager and staff go above and beyond to work around my allergies to dairy, soy and gluten... They check the ingredients on each item, down to the sauce ingredients! They are always kind, friendly and easy-going. One staff lady has worked there for the 3 years we've lived here. You know staff is happy when they stay! Recommend for small gathering to about 15 people. Safety measures are on point. Thank you, Strizzi's!
First time going and glad I picked that spot. I ordered a Cajun chicken fettuccine pasta bowl. And they didn’t disappoint. I ordered an alcoholic beverage which came out great at made beautifully with fresh strawberries sliced in the drink. The bread was fresh. But would be better severed hot or warm for butter to melt, or toasted garlic bread. However that didn’t affect the pasta dish whatsoever. The ambience was relatively calm simple with a hint of elegance. Any attire can be worn. Formal or fresh from work for grub and a shot
If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, Strizzi is a standout choice. The variety of dishes offered is truly impressive, with each one showcasing exceptional flavors and quality. The food was nothing short of amazing, leaving us thoroughly satisfied with every bite. What sets Strizzi apart is its outstanding service. The staff was not only attentive but also genuinely warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Watching the cooks prepare dishes right before your eyes adds an exciting layer of authenticity and connection to the meal—it's like dinner and a show! This is a place we won’t soon forget, and we’ll absolutely be recommending it to friends and family. Strizzi is the perfect spot for anyone who appreciates great food, excellent service, and a unique atmosphere.
Brenda is a sweet great customer serviced waitress we enjoyed our lunch today with her thank you so much
Thought we would stop by this restaurant before going to our appointment at the. Civic Center building. Our server, Evelyn, greeted us at the door and seated us by the window. Before long, she brought water and menus - so many Italian dishes to choose from! The Cesar salad was absolutely delicious as was the homemade lasagna. We were late for our appointment, so Evelyn boxed our lunches and the Italian bread expertly for our return home. Thank you, Evelyn for your unforgettable service and serving such a delightful Italian lunch today. 😀
This is one of Fremont's very few sophisticated restaurants. It is a great family restaurant, and they have a cute little bar for socializing. The food of premium quality and reasonably priced!
Food was delicious - prawns with garlic, artichoke, tomatoes over pasta. The sauce was amazing. Would definitely return. Service was friendly and efficient for a 6 person party.
My friends and I go out to eat together once a week. This was the second time we've been to Strizzi's, and we've loved it every time. Amazing service, delicious food with large portions, and very tasty drinks. Highly recommend! Though I'll add that it's best to not have plans that involve brains afterwards; we were all in a happy food coma after our meal.
This was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised that this is a locally owned chain and has a plenty of choices for vegetarians. The staff was very welcoming and attentive and served us with smile. They did not rush to turn-over the tables to churn more customer count. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The prices are reasonable for a full-service restaurant that prepared meals from scratch and BETTER tasting than Magianno’s. They also had Fremont Police Officers serving tables for a fundraising for local Special Olympic chapter so that made our first visit even more special. There is a plenty of parking spots as this is located in a large shopping center. Happy to support this local small business and will definitely go there again.
Strizzi’s is a great find, a homey place with an elegant touch in Downtown Fremont. We ate dinner there on Friday, 07/05/24. Our waiter, Andrew, was enthusiastic and proactive with his generous service. I had wood-grilled salmon and my friends had pasta entrees. The tastes were just perfectly fine. Prices are reasonable. We plan to go back there… What a great ambience to celebrate old friendships. Thanks much! Hernan
We had a large party for my mother-in-law's birthday. Service was awesome and staff was on it! We had done the family style with Caesar salad, lasagna and shrimp scampi and none of them disappointed. Soooo good! Stop by and give them a try if you've never been!
This was my first trip to Strizzi's and it was amazing! Our waitress was amazing, she was not only a good host, she was attentive, funny, knowledgeable, and helpful! She made great recommendations for both food and drinks. The food was so good! I got the seafood fettuccine, the sauce was so good I could have just eaten that and been happy. My parents had visited before and they told me that it was nothing special but they were so wrong. I can't wait to go eat there again!
Had a great experience this Sunday evening, from the hostess to the waiter to the food. I forgot what his name was but our server was so great! Food was excellent. 10/10 would recommend
We are a family that love Italian food. This place is great. Staff is friendly and offer a nice service. Restroom and in general the restaurant is clean. We were there on a weekend and it wasn’t crowded, we got a table immediately. The size of the portions is moderate, don’t expect a super big plate, which is good for me. From the kids menu, is a perfect size, not too small. I recommend the cheesy bread and my favorite entree was the Salmon saute.
I was out with Triple T, and Eightball, not really bustin things up, but we weren't holding anything back either, and we ended up in Fremont of all places! Well, it not our fault because those pesky Oakland Pinkerton boys told us to get on the hwy going south and don't come back! Anyway..We found Strizzi's Italian Restaurant where we were welcomed like long lost family, and had an Amazing dinner. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆
Service was top shelf, fast friendly and courteous! The Cajun chicken risotto was so delicious. Since we are from Texas we would have liked a little more seasoning/heat on the chicken but it was so good! Drinks were spot on!
Experience the Italian cuisine, delightful ambiance, and exceptionally courteous staff at restaurant. Some vegetarian dishes we had... Penne pasta , Cheese ravioli , bruschetta , garlic cheese bread , cheese pizza and salad.
The meal was nothing short of extraordinary! Each bite was perfectly prepared, brimming with succulence and packed with vibrant flavors that had me toying with the idea of ordering an encore. Our interactions with the hostess and waitress felt heartfelt and sincere. They lavished my friend and me with personalized care throughout our visit, making us feel truly special. Nestled in a cozy booth, we savored the VIP treatment provided by the devoted Strizzi’s team. It was an experience to cherish. Years ago, a creative staff member used to whip up a unique Garlic Parmesan dip on request. It was a shared delight that left an indelible mark on my friends memories. Fortunately, my friend had the recipe engraved in their mind. We requested the necessary ingredients to recreate this fondly remembered dip – red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, and fresh garlic. We complemented these with readily available table condiments like salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Stirring up this flavorful concoction and dipping our bread in it was a gastronomic adventure. The exquisite garlicky dip had us reaching for more throughout our meal. Strizzi’s, you truly deserve a round of applause! I'm eagerly anticipating the resurrection of your Happy Hour. From what I've heard, it was quite the spectacle!
Great food and service! I got a salad and pasta combo and found the food fresh and tasty. Specifically, I really enjoyed the Asiago and Garlic Ravioli, which had amazing flavors, but wasn’t too heavy. The restaurant has nice seating and the service is friendly and fast.
Actually lovely Italian with good food and very reasonable prices. Update: well, prices seem a bit higher but food is still amazing Update 2024: still epic food, just had their rigatoni with meat sauce and they were simply amazing Their bread pudding is downright "dangerous" - even if full, you have to finish it :-(

I always feel so welcome at Strizzi’s, thanks especially to Jessica, Jessa, Brenda and Evelyn. They greet me warmly every time I come in, take my order quickly, and the food arrives before I even know it and it’s always fresh, always delicious. I almost always go with something simple, like spaghetti marinara, and I swear it’s the best I’ve had anywhere. More than anything, what keeps me coming back are those amazing servers: they’re the sweetest, most genuine people you could hope to meet. Their kindness and care make the whole experience feel personal, and that turns a meal into something special. I can’t recommend Strizzi’s highly enough.
I’d submit pictures but I ate it all. The meatballs are OUTSTANDING! Must try! Delicious! Don’t order the Brussel sprouts though. It’s a disgrace to Italian cuisine. Why it would be a good idea to add Asian flavored sugar coated Brussel sprouts with sesame seeds to Italian cuisine is beyond me. I was so confused when they came out. They weren’t too bad but still, why? I came for Italian food not Asian food. But I digress. Get the meatballs! The lasagna was good. The pizza was fresh. You can taste the cheese fresh dough.

Great location and atmosphere. Usually service is quick -- but the last time the kitchen had a big catering order so the service was slower than normal. I strayed away from my normal choices and went for the Cajun pasta - sorry to say that it was NOT good. To their credit they comp'd the meal. Another great "extra" between 4-6pm all entrees come with a free side (soup or salad). I had the tomato bisque and it was excellent.
I felt very... young. The restaraunt is definitely more popular with the older folks. That's totally OK, but just worth noting if you're looking for a fun spot for a date or something. A few TVs and a bar as well, so not exactly fancy. Totally a jeans and t-shirt kinda vibe. Food was quite good, but expensive for the portion sizes. I had a $12 slice of cake that was so good it was almost worth the $12. But I mean $12 is pretty steep. Wait staff were above average.
We have been here in 2019 and it seemed like a nice place back then , but on a recent visit in 2025 during lunch hours the place seems to have lost its old charm , the food was decent enough and so was the service.
I recently visited Strizzi’s in Fremont. The pasta and Cajun chicken were good. On the other hand, the bread, salad, and especially the clam chowder were absolutely delicious – definitely the highlights of the meal. The lemonade, however, was disappointing and lacked flavor. Overall, a decent spot with some standout items.
My family and I went to Strizzi's for dinner the other night. We were a party of seven. The waitress and over all service was great. However I was not impressed with the pork chops I ordered. The cut was thin and the pork chops were dry. Should I go back I will not order those again. The rest of the family was satisfied with their meal. I did like the bread they put on the table.
I travel with my job and when I dine out after work, I always go for the local ‘Staple’ dish/food of the area I am visiting. I was not feeling making the trip to the Wharf for Cioppino and I was not about to go back to Market Broiler on Auto Mall after my dreadful experience on Monday eve, so after some Google research, I stumbled upon this hidden gem, and thought I’d give a ‘Go’. Glad I did!! Service was great (Carly was awesome!) as was the food. Cioppino was delicious, not as good as mine, but it was a solid Runner Up 🙂, and well above the service and quality you’d get over Market Broiler! Great job Strizzi’s, can’t wait to come back to Fremont so I can dine here again!
The food was good but portions were small. On the flip side, we don't have to bother with doggie bags. 😆

The food is mostly good, I've had a couple of dishes that looked better than they tasted. But most of the time, I end up liking what I order. In terms of service, it can be hit or miss. It depends on who is serving you. There had been a couple of times when our server was either new and clueless, or the server was defensive when we pointed out an error. But other times, we get really good food and really good service. The last time we ate there, I ordered the Asian Salmon with Risotto and vegetables. I was very surprised about how much I loved that dish. My husband ordered chicken parmesan and didn't care for it. My daughter always orders chicken pasta alfredo and loves it.
I got the lasagna and it was okay. My coworker got the wings and loved them. The service was very good. The bar area looked pretty cool in setup, but the dining area the seats were worn and the top of the material was half off.
We've been coming here for years (lived in the area for 22). Their wood grilled EVERYTHING is crave-worthy, which is why we visited this past weekend. Service was spotty for the second visit in a row. We were seated prior to TWO other tables, we weren't even offered beverages or a welcome after more than ten minutes. The manager offered to comp my cocktail as a courtesy, and then didn't. Hence my three stars, rather than their earlier five.
Mediocre food at a local restaurant. The meatballs in the spaghetti lacked flavor and the proper texture. Salads were fine. Good for a casual bite in a squeeze but otherwise unforgettable. Service and staff were very good.
12/19/2025 My wife's Fuji Apple salad was excellent. My Short Ribs were perfect with outstanding mashed potatoes. I had a Black Butte Porter that was great. We were presented with bread when we arrived but it was cold, not room temperature but cold like it was just taken out of the fridge and dry.. My wife ordered the Wagyu Ranch Steak Medium Rare. Her stake arrived well done, we informed the server and she said they would replace the meal. We waited and my wife was so hungry she ate most of my Short Ribs while waiting for her meal to arrive. When we had almost finished my meal a manager stopped by and said since you have almost finished my meal would you like your steak to go. Reluctantly and unfortunately we agreed with her saying they will make the steak rare so it can be heated up at home. The meal arrived nicely packaged for the trip home. The next day we went to enjoy the meal. The Meat was not rare but medium so we only slightly warmed it and found the meat to be tough, similar to a Chuck steak, definitely not Waygu. It was so tough that my wife and I were unable to eat the steak. I have had steaks here before and they melt in your mouth. 5/14/2023 I was so worried when I booked Strizzi's for Mother's Day. In the past, we regretted eating at an establishment on a holiday. We had the greatest time. no reduced menu, there was an additional menu for Mother'sDay. Our food was outstanding, large portions, very flavorful, exceptional service, and more. The steak my wife's order was outstanding as was my Seafood Alfredo. We were a group of 6, we were all impressed. Service could not have been better. Parking was full but we found a spot. Mar 2023 The Flat Iron Steak was perfect. The Scallops Picatta was excellent. The Brownie Sunday was outstanding. Service was great. I wish the bread was warm. Love the oil and vinegar for the bread with butter for ones that like dairy. One small fruit fly kept bothering me a little. I do wish the parmesan was freshly grated at the table! We will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious creations.
Decent place for Americanized Italian food with nice seating. I would opt for the ravioli over the fettuccine. Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine (3/5): The sauce was nice and creamy but the pasta was a little too chewy. Asiago Cheese Ravioli (4.5/5): The ravioli was soft with a good amount of filling and the pesto sauce was incredibly creamy.
It is a very different vibe from the Pleasanton one although it is more spacious and has more parking availability being that it is at a shopping center. The food tastes the same, they have cushiony booth seating options versus the regular dining table chairs. The bar is quite huge and they take catering orders too! Our pleasanton experience has set our expectations high for them but I think they passed.

I ordered the Party Deal which includes 3 pastas, 2 loaves of bread and 2 salads. I’m greatful they supplied utensils for the dishes and plates and forks. The food was delicious but the portions are subpar. Pricing is a bit unfair for the amount of food you could get at places like BJs and others. Would not reccommend for larger parties. Could only feed 20 out of my 30 team members

Inventory management is not that great. No communication when they are out of something for delivery, just tried to hide it. I reordered and then the driver was told the item was out of stock Pretty disappointed considering the food is usually good but, about 25% of my orders in the past year have had some sort of issue.
The server ignored us after being sat for around 10 minutes. People who came after us were greeted and served before we were acknowledged. The server did eventually come over. The main issue with the food here is that it is severely bland. I mean no flavor. We had to douse our entrees with salt just to get the down. The pesto cheesy bread has no pesto. The calamari was very lightly fried with no seasoning. The sauce it came with was good. The pasta dishes were so disappointing. It was a big let down for our dining experience. This was supposed to be a nice meal celebrating my son starting college on Monday. We were not impressed. Better Italian food for the money can be found at Melos. We won't return.
The food was pretty average. For its prices, I would rather go elsewhere. The bread was not even hot and very chewy. The Caesar salad was too cheesy and our entrees devoid of any flavor. Would recommend avoiding

Fast food American version of "Italian". Pasta from a box. Sauce from a jar. This food is as Italian as the spare tire in my Subaru. What cheap garbage. This place wouldn't make it past opening night in any major city, but I suppose it passes a 4 star review in the good food void of the world - The Bay Area. I'm so tired of the lack of effort.
The food is terrible and overpriced. Firstly, they ran out of the tomato soup we wanted to order. The bread tasted like white bread from the dollar store. The clam chowder was perhaps the most underwhelming clam chowder I had ever tasted. Next, I could not stomach the chicken that was barely cooked and unseasoned. Overall, a poor example of italian food. The only good thing was the waiters because they had nothing to do with cooking the food.
Not good with their service,we already went there twice but still the same issue, bad service, always an hour waiting for the food.
⭐️ 1/5 – Extremely Poor Service and Concerning Behavior We visited this restaurant this evening, and unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. The food and service were far below acceptable standards. We waited over an hour for our order, and even though we had only requested three items, they arrived one at a time with long delays in between. We were later told that a new server had mistakenly picked up our orders multiple times, which only added to the disorganization. While mistakes happen, what concerned us far more was the difference in treatment we observed. Our server was also attending to another couple seated just a few feet away, and the level of attention and care provided to them was noticeably different from the service we received. The contrast was so stark that it came across as dismissive and disrespectful. This is not the first time we’ve encountered this issue here—my wife has had a similar experience in the past—which makes it even more unsettling. The food itself was below average. Even basic details were overlooked: although it’s an Italian restaurant, we were served bread without butter and had to ask for it. The restaurant did waive one item from our check, but the overall experience left us feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Consistency, respect, and basic service standards were simply not present. We will not be returning.
