Originally we were going to shibuya which is in Concord. Though we would have to wait 2 hours to eat. This shabu shabu place is near Mission Peak and close by for anyone wants to eat hotpot. The taste was unique and the meat is delicious. Great for those that come in groups. It is served for dine in and they have good amounts of meat, veggies, seafood, etc. Come eat here if you are craving or want to find a spot after a hike.

Great hotpot in Bay Area. The price is not very high. The flavor is pretty good. Always come back!!!

This is probably my favorite hot spot in the East Bay. Hotpot is the prefect food for a cold day. Pro tips! 1. Get in the line on yelp before you heading to Zhang Fei hotpot. 2. Plenty parking spots behind the main entry. 3. Order medium spicy if you’re a big fan of spicy. 4. They don’t take reservations for party under 6 ppl after 5:30 pm. Food: My favorite broth are: Medium spicy broth, Mushroom broth, and tomato broth. Must order: lambs, beef, cold tofu, ham, beef tripes. All the food are fresh and delicious!

This place is great. Service is fabulous. Hot pot makes me crazy, which is much better than other hot pot I tried in Bay Area. I will definitely come again.

The food are fresh and delicious, services are 10/10. The soup base is also flavorful and it has variety dipping sauce. I ordered oysters that are the best I ever get in a Hotpot restaurant, fresh and juicy.

pretty good hotpot place! Medium spicy is good for most people. The location is easy to find and the restaurant is clean and neat. And the price is reasonable. I love their mung bean soup!

Hands down one of the best value hot pot place in the Bay Area. Came here 2024-01-01 new year day at around 1:15PM and ate until 2:45PM for lunch. The meat, soup, veggie, rice + noodle, sugary treat were all top level. Around $25 per person.

The best hot pot place! It’s really tasty and staff members are super nice! It also has various free appetizers and soup. Highly recommended!

The place is neat and clean! I love the interior design which matches the name of the place. Cheapest soup base I can find in the Bay Area and they give a fair portion of food. Would definitely come back again.

This place is recently opened. It is clean and the service is top notch. The food is traditional Sichuan hotpot and much better than other hotpot places I have been to. Will definitely repeat.

All you can eat with really fast service on a Monday night. Staff was friendly and very helpful. My wife and I don’t eat spicy but we really like their non-spicy soup base.

This might be the best meal I have ever had. They allowed me to dine here solo and bring the leftovers home, which I am very grateful for as I do not have friends who like hotpot. I had been here once before for lunch. The mini pots are underwhelming and I strongly do not recommend them. Go for the hotpot experience Ordering is complicated. I accidentally ordered some stuff not realizing how the process works. After scanning the menu, you’re already selecting what you are sending to the kitchen so just be careful when ordering. The process is actually genius and I love how accessible it is for people who might not be able to speak English. With so many unique fungi, meat, and seafood, it is incredible that they are able to keep everything so fresh. The mushrooms tasted like they were just cultivated, the veggies just harvested, and the sliced beef was tender, delicate, and delicious. The true prize is the soup though. It’s not soup you eat with a soon, it really is just for cooking your food. I still loved it so much I had to drink some after cutting it with water (far too rich and strong to eat alone) I love to get hotpot or hot soup as an occasional weekend treat. I hope to make this place a staple.

Beef oil soup base gives more flavor to the meat and other ingredients. This is my first time having Zhang Fei hotpot and I'm loving it ! Don't miss out AYCE dinner on Wednesday!

Went here for a lunch buffet - only 24.95 on a weekday! Great selection for vegetarians and my meat loving friend enjoyed it too. Just be aware that they give large portions for the meat orders so come hungry!

Good location with good food. The hotpot soups we have are great! We have 3 different soups in one pot. We have buffet for $35 for Friday dinner, which is a good price. It is a busy restaurant so go there early, otherwise you’ll have to wait in line.

This place is a gem with AYCE traditional Chinese hot pot in Fremont. I have been coming here for years and the quality never disappoint. Their meats are both fresh and high quality. On top of that, the service from the entire team is simply exceptional. On the night of my family both server Mr. Wu and Ms. Ting are just superb! They are both very attentive with great to ensure all the customers are taken care of!!! I am impressed… this is a great place to be to enjoy one-of-the-kind dining experience!!!

Love this place for the all you can eat. Food is good and can fill you up, really get your bucks worth. Food so good in fact, next day I went to my doctor’s appointment and got high blood pressure. No worries though because next day it was back to normal!! 😎 10/10 food so bountiful and delicious yum!!

Zhangfei Hotpot in Fremont is an absolute gem! I've been searching for authentic, flavorful hotpot in the Bay Area, and this place truly delivers. We opted for their classic Spicy Mala broth, and it was incredibly aromatic and delicious – perfectly balanced with numbing peppercorns and a rich, spicy kick. It genuinely transported me back to the hotpot experiences I've had in China! The selection of ingredients is fantastic; everything from the tripe and duck intestine to the fresh vegetables was high quality and cooked beautifully in the broth. The sauce bar is incredibly well-stocked, offering a huge variety of condiments to customize your perfect dipping sauce. You can go classic with sesame oil and garlic, or get creative with their extensive options. The ambiance is also lovely – a clean and comfortable space with a nice blend of traditional and modern decor, making it great for a casual meal or a gathering with friends. Value for money is excellent too. Considering the quality of the food and the service, I felt it was very reasonably priced. Overall, I highly recommend Zhangfei Hotpot to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious hotpot experience in Fremont. Zhangfei Hot Pot is such a great spot! The ambiance is lively and welcoming perfect for a fun night out with friends or family. The broths are packed with flavor, and the variety of meats, seafood, and veggies is fresh and high-quality. Everything tastes even better when you cook it yourself at the table. The staff is super friendly and attentive, always making sure you have what you need and explaining the menu if it’s your first time trying hot pot. Overall, it’s an experience that feels both authentic and enjoyable. Definitely recommend checking it out!

The soup base is great. I would recommend anyone who loves Sichuan food to try Green Peppercorn soup base. This place has AYCE through Monday to Wednesday plus Thursday lunch if I’m not getting it wrong. Meat plates are in generous sizes. Definitely recommend this place!

Has goose intestine actually in stock and ready to serve. Extremely rare ingredient in the bay area. It's fun to watch the spicy tallow doll dissolve in the soup base. Condiment bar has two desserts that are fairly decent. Definitely went overboard on the orders for a small party of three because we wanted to try everything.

Hotpot lover must be try! My friend brought me here , I don’t expect how delicious it is, however, it’s pretty good hotpot place I have been in Bayarea ! We ordered 3 soup base : cumin, tomato, spicy beef oil Please try the lamp with cumin soup base . OMG~it’s the perfect match! I like to eat spicy food , like the spicy beef oil soup base with everything. Unfortunately, when I get this one at the other hotpot places, my tummy will upset! Probably too oily ? I have no idea . By luckily, it’s so favor and so delicious here for the spicy beef oil and not upset by other day ! There are some popular things must be try here: Goose Intestine, Beef tripe , American wagyu beef and Spicy Braised Beef And I love the sauce bar only for $1.5 each person The desert was so good! The important thing is that price ! How valuable for 4ppl only $140 ( before tips) everyone is so full enough! Will comeback soon!

Our favorite szechuan hotpot in Fremont! The staffs are really nice and friendly. Broths are really good. If you like spicy, you must try the spicy szechuan broth, so gooddd!! You can pick the spicy level and it comes with beef oil (molded in little guy character shape haha check my photo). Good quality meet and lots of different options of seafood, meatballs, vegetables, tofu, mushroom, etc. They have vegetarian broth options too (I recommend the Traditional Beijing broth, even if you are not vegetarian). They also have sauce and snack bar. Overall really good! 🙂

Great place! It’s delicious, clean, with hospitality people. Would love to visit again. The soup base was very tasty, we orders spicy and tomato base. The extra beef oil was made in the shape of Zhangfei himself, very cute. The meat combo has great value and all the food tastes fresh. They also provide guidance on how to make different flavors of dipping sauce, very friendly to beginners. Hope more people can give this hotpot a try!

Truly authentic Sichuan hot pot place with a neighborhood restaurant kind of vibe, in a good way! Their soup is amazingly done, the hot spice soup is one of the best in Bay Area, the pepper chicken soup is great with any meat/ veggie. Their meat and veggie choices are a lot, can order small portion as well, so you can try lots of stuff! Ample parking in the huge mall.

This place is great restaurant for numb and spicy lovers, especially the Sichun tastes of spicy! The food was mostly delicious, with the exception of the meats being sliced too thickly. The sauces and condiments were really well rounded, and they had practically ever sauce with hotpot that you could think of! They also had great decorations and beautiful paintings throughout the store. The lunch option is very filling, and the dinner option is even better with occasional warm snacks! The restaurant is relatively full, so try to go there a bit earlier. Other than that it is a great restaurant, with the staff being mostly friendly! Great place and a great price highly recommend.

Good food and concept. Love hotpot on a cold day, but the service was very slow. The servers forgot half our order even though we wrote it on the menu. Perhaps the server was new... so I am happy to experience it again and change my review if that is the case.

The spicy soup is very spicy, and probably not recommended for the unprepared. All the dishes were very nice and the sauce station had a good variety. There are other places that have more choices. The seating we had was not ideal - bar table and chairs were difficult to get in and out of without tipping over, and the table was far too small once the food arrived. But good food overall.

The place is smaller than expected and I'm extremely annoyed when the place kept on asking you to write a 5 star review for free pitch of fruit juice. No wonder the star rating is so high. The place is decent and the beef lard (looks like a soap) soup base is gimmicky but fun. However maybe because of cost cutting there really isn't much choices when it comes to meat, fishballs, and etc. The menu is seriously lacking variety so if you compare to say Haidilao there isn't much reason to come here other than this is less crowded. There really isn't anything special enough about the place to come here unless you happen to be in this plaza for shopping and happen to crave hot pot and Haidilao across the street is too busy.

They have AYCE on weekdays, price is reasonable considering the inflations, food was ok, new zeal and supreme lamb and the duck blood is good, veggies are fresh enough, they charge 5dollars extra for their house special spicy beef oil, but worth it, it’s very tasty, even tho getting very salty at the end. Recommend for those who like AYCE, personally will not come again since their meat options cannot satisfy me.

The food is pretty good. The service was extremely slow on a Friday night (Valentine’s Day). The place was completely understaffed and they were not ready for how busy they would be. The table we were seated at was under a vent and cold air was blown on us as we ate the whole time on a cold rainy day. I probably won’t be coming again, but you can give it a shot.

One of the most off-putting restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. While the food itself was genuinely good, the service was far from it. Despite the restaurant not being busy, our orders were significantly delayed, and the staff seemed disengaged throughout our visit. Still, we chose to tip 10%—a generous gesture considering the level of service. However, what happened next was completely unacceptable. After we left, my girlfriend was stopped at the door as she exited the restroom and was told she hadn’t tipped enough. They refused to let her leave unless she added more to the tip—essentially cornering her for an extra $8. It was deeply disrespectful and felt like an intentional attempt to intimidate. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and left a terrible final impression.

The food is good, but the establishment is horrible. They charge an automatic +18% gratuity no matter how many guests eat (I’ve ate with just two people and they still charge this gratuity). This policy is not visible on any signage until you actually receive your bill. Very malicious. Also makes it the cost of any high-end hotpot place, while not delivering the quality of it. Also got a horrible fever from a line cook/waitress that went into the bathroom the same time as me, absolutely coughing his lungs out. Would not recommend this place if you appreciate hygienic staff and transparent bills. Take your business to another AYCE hotpot restaurant

Reserved ahead of time for a big party of 12. Had the audacity to sit another group at the bigger table that should have been used to put the party together. Does anyone come with family to eat and has to be separated into different tables? Whats the point lol why would I come here again? If I wanted to eat without my family I would just go two different restaurants lol. Asian restaurants always pull this move and expect reserver to wait. Then why reserve? Whats the point of reserving ahead of time?

ALERT ! FOOD POSITIONING !! A family of 5 people had all you can eat on 11/21 last Friday. from midnight until noon, all of us experienced severe food poison symptoms , we were vomiting on and off and diarrhea for 7/8 hours frequently. This is HORRIBLE!!! I had to contact physician to prescribe anti- vomiting medication to stop the serve vomiting. Some of us also have fevers on top and still have diarrhea in the next day. DO NOT GO to AVOID FOOD POISONING! Must be something wrong with food or cleanliness issue. The little kid suffered a lot.
