We were in town for a few days and had such a great experience at 33 Brick Street. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was perfect. Our waitress, Canessa, was wonderful: friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. She really added to an already great visit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Wonderful food and a very lively atmosphere! We had the burgers and the shrimp Alfredo, and both were delicious. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a great spot to check out.
Food was amazing and the service was awesome our server Drake was a phenomenal server and we can't wait to go back 😀
We came here to eat after the place we planned on going was closed. Got in quick. Waitress was great, food came out pretty fast and was very good. We got the quesadilla for an appetizer, I got the French dip and my husband got the 33 burger.
We tried out the place since we were in French Lick and may have had one of the most intriguing and delicious appetizers - the Philly chips!!! Philly cheese steak ingredients on top of their house made chips. So tasty! We crushed that! We also got the spicy burger - red devil - jalapeños, bacon, and spicy cheese. It was good and so were the fries. We upgraded to them since we had chips as the appetizer. We had a nice meal and evening.
Dropped in on a quiet Tuesday evening, prepping to look at hotel Christmas lights nearby. Most tables were open, got immediate service. Food came out not long after, enjoyed a relaxing meal with my wife. French Lick Dip, yummy! No hurry, we were told to take all the time we wished. Such a nice experience, just dine and unwind. We will be back.
Great service and great food. We had the pretzel bites and cheese sticks for appetizers. Both were so good I almost filled up on that. Then my husband got the Fish and Chips while I had the 12 oz New York strip. The steak was so good. It was seasoned and not at all bland like some other places. The portions were huge and we brought a ton home with us. We would definitely eat here again!
Nice sports bar to swing by! It is very Larry Bird inspired of course! The atmosphere is nice with many TVs and a lot of food options! We swung by to just visit but next time we are in town we’ll be sure to give their menu a go!
Amazing place and amazing food. Absolutely delicious if you end up there ask for Frank the bartender he’s amazing guy and it was great. Sat and shoot the breeze with him and give us a little bit of history. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.
Beast steak we have had for the price in years. Service was excellent. We would have paid twice as much for the same meal in the Indy area.
Great sports bar. Service staff excellent. Great bar food. Very enjoyable.
I've eaten here many times and I have never had a complaint about any of the food and I've tried a variety of lunches and dinners. My top 2 are the wings with their ranch or the blackened chicken with wild rice.
Great food and service. We showed up 30 mins till close and we're worried we would be turned away..but they said no problem! Order our food, it came hot and perfect! The staff was amazing and on top of everything! Props to the cook staff and the wait staff for making what could have been a convenient store meal kinda night for us, into an amazing experience for us!
We ordered the12oz New your strip and the Turkey Club. Both were excelent ! Definitely eat there again !
33 brick street is awesome, if you are staying in the French lick area definitely check it out! Drake was our server and took excellent care of us , he killed it! The food was fantastic and the prices were great. We met one of the owners Tracy, and he was super nice , a class act. Let us wear Larry Birds Olympic warm up jacket and bought us a round of shots. They have tons of awesome sports memorabilia and jerseys, a super cool spot. Definitely 10 out of 10, would recommend!
I never thought I would be so impressed with each bite but I absolutely loved this dinner! Chicken wings were crispy, fat, with the appropriate amount of wet sauce. Dinner highlights were onion rings, tenderloin, and breaded fish - absolutely delightful!
Bird is the word. Great food and kind smiles. It is must see when you visit Larry Bird's home town
Always a great experience, and good food. Melissa was fantastic to us!
The food was great. The portions where big. Our service Ollie was amazing
Good food reasonably priced. Cool build and atmosphere!
Stopped here for lunch on the Friday after Christmas during a day trip to town. I always look for laid back, bar atmosphere type places and this place was perfect. We were able to be sat right away on the bar side and the service and food was good. All the memorabilia was neat as well.
Amazing chicken nachos. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Excellent drafts on tap.
Pretty good local joint with a nice variety on the menu. Basketball memorabilia is nice too! Philly chips are 👌🏼 and the hot wings are made right. Dan at the bar is a local legend and brings great service and recommendations. Beer on tap is cold and always flowing!
My Celtics fan friend and I began our adventure in Terre Haute, Indiana taking pictures of the Larry Bird statue. Finding French Lick was very special. Had an excellent burger at 33 Brick Street and took several photos. It was a great trek heading to our ultimate destination of the Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky to bet the horses.
When in French Lick 33 Brick is a must. The staff is courteous and attentive. Over the years I've tried many menu options and nothing ever disappoints. But, if you're not sure what to order go with the pork chops, you'll love'em. The owner cares about the customer experience and wants YOU to leave satisfied!!!
Place was nice but the Bartender had to finish his story first before we could get a drink. He acknowledged us when we came in , my husband went to the restroom and the Bartender didn’t ask me what we wanted until my husband was walking back. He just kept telling his story to the other people before he served us. So sitting at the bar and it still took about 7 minutes before we got served all because he was telling a story. I could understand if he was making them drinks but he wasn't, Sad.
Absolutely love this place. My husband and I are there at least twice a month. We live in Scottsburg so we do have a little drive but it's worth every mile. The food is great as well as the atmosphere. The staff is always very friendly. We love the fish and fries and fried pickles. This is our go to place for weekend getaways!
Excellent little restaurant in French Lick, Indiana. The staff are great and the prooerty is clean. In the old retail district. This is a great location that is close to the French Lick Resort and Casino, and is within walking distance. There are plenty of things to do all around this community.
Eclipse Day. Our French Lick visit and surrounds visit was most enjoyable. We stated off with an Orange Cream and an Old Fashioned for drinks with our usual water with lemon. Eats were a Greek Salad, a Bacon Cheddar Burger, and Mushroom Soup. It is very hard to mess up a Greek salad, it was very good. The Soup and Burger were excellent! Thank you William, we enjoyed our visit!
This past weekend was the 2nd time eating here, both times was fantastic! I wish I could remember our waitresses' name, she was super friendly and checked on us an adequate amount of times. The food is always cooked to perfection, and the chips and queso is to die for! We live about an hour and half away but this is place is so worth the drive and we hope to visit back soon!
Environment very well setup. Food was above par. The plate sizes are pretty large compared to most places I've been. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta. Highly recommend.
This is one of the best restaurants in town! The atmosphere is contagious and the food is mouthwatering. With awesome sweet tea & delicious appetizers, why spend 5 times the money at the resort when you can have a better experience here!!
Great service, great food! I was greeted by the bartender immediately who grabbed me a menu and let me know the soup of the day was chili. I ordered the chili and I got the fish and chips, again on his recommendation. Excellent choices my friend! The fish and chips are some of the best I've ever had. Light, crispy, and delicious. I'm a fan for life.
Excellent tasty options, in the heart of French Lick IN., with outstanding customer service 👏 in a friendly environment with beautiful and cozy indoor and outdoor areas...in the last 2 years our favorite are their 12 Oz. Ribeye and their juicy American cheese burgers 🍔 and their 16 Oz beers and their beautiful decorations! 👌 😋
Great place food was awesome. Waitress was very nice. Will come back.
Our first time here and it was amazing. Friendly staff and delicious food. Definitely be back!
First time in French Lick for golf trip from Chicago .Went to 33 and never went anywhere else for 3 days of dinner.Great staff and wide range of good food.
Good food. Great service. Country fried chicken was excellent.
Great atmosphere, friendly service, broad menu selections, and delicious food. Came for lunch on a Saturday during Block Bash. We were seated right away, and were well taken care of during our visit. Lots of cool memorabilia collected by Larry Bird, spanning multiple professional sports. Very inviting space. Food was some of the best quality I've ever had at a sports bar. Will definitely come back if we are in the area.
The food is amazing. It was such a great value for what we paid. We all went home with boxes because it was so much and delicious. The service was great. You can tell the service like their jobs. Atmosphere was spot on! Music was great.
Portions were of great size. Mushrooms and steak were good. Whiskey Sours were good (they do keep up with how many you have). Server had to go ask for an answer to every question we had. But the food was delicious, and really that's all that matters. (Timing from order to food on the table was perfect.)
Shocked the rating of this place isn’t higher. Just spent Valentine’s Day with my husband here and it didn’t disappoint. Extremely reasonable pricing (paid less here for dinner than breakfast at French Lick Resort). Delicious food and large portions. We got the fried cheese sticks, quesadilla, chicken tenders, and buffalo chicken wrap - all of the above were on point. Highly recommend!
Another good meal at 33, super busy night in the valley we had called ahead and Alisha got us in. They were packed but our waiters did a fantastic job and the kitchen staff kept up good as our food was brought out fairly quickly for as busy as they were. My fish and onion rings were awesome, Philly chips good, son’s chicken stripes were very good. Others food looked good as well. We had twelve people and everyone enjoyed the food. It had been a little while since we had been here but will return soon.
We were a large group with a reservation. We were seated immediately in a private room. I was concerned that there was basically only one waitress for us, but she nailed it. There was a wide variety of options on the menu. The food was good and came out hot. Most of us had not been there before and we enjoyed looking at all the memorabilia on the walls.
Un lugar increíble y una comida espectacular. Absolutamente delicioso.
Very nice restaurant with reasonably priced food! The service was a little slow, but otherwise our family had a great time here!
Excellent waiter, really good food, place can be loud. Recommended place for a good meal. Food was served hot and fresh. Lots of sports memorabilia to gawk over.
Super sweet hostess, smiles all the way around. Service was a bit slow, super nice though and but I think she had tables in a different section of the restaurant. If we come back that way again absolutely would come back.
Breaded tenderloin was seasoned nicely, but it wasn't as tender as I prefer. Almost like eating a breaded pork chop. We were seated only 30 minutes before they closed, so perhaps it is usually tenderized more and this was just a fluke...? The Philly Chips were amazing though! My son got the New York strip, and he said it was delicious.
Decent prices on decent food. The wait time was rough, and after ordering, it took forever to receive the food. After we ate, we waited for 20 minutes for our waitress and had to prompt the hostess for our check because our waitress was absent for the majority of our dinner.
Excellent food, good service, a little noisy. Excellent place to stop with friends. May not be the best choice for a quiet dinner for two.
Great service! Loved the fried pickles and got a huge portion of them! The tenderloin here is one of my sister's favorites.
Went on a friday night after the casino. Nice place, friendly staff, very loud (especially when happy drunk friends are cheering each other on). My husband and I have lived in SW Indiana for a year now and I have not had a decent hamburger since we moved. The BBQ bacon cheeseburger was the best burger I've had in Indiana. It was GREAT! My husband had the pork chops and said he had just had the best meal he had had in Indiana, also. Definitely will go back, maybe even make a special trip to go. Thank you!
None of the food was warm. The fries were cold. The soup was cold. Coffee was cold. The hot water was cold. Nothing was very warm. Otherwise we liked the place.
The food was great! Well portioned and delicious. The atmosphere was also great! Decent music and the seating didn't feel cramped or anything. The staff did a decent job. We had difficulty flagging down our waitress to order an appetizer because we didn't know her name. None of us at our table could confirm whether or not she had said her name when introduced. It was also rather busy I suppose so it is understandable that we had difficulty getting a hold of her. Otherwise she did a great job and was patient with us while we ordered our food. Because the condition of the restrooms is also important to some on here, I will mention that the men's restroom appeared well taken care of and relatively clean. My only complaint would be that the table felt kinda sticky. Not a big fan of sticky tables. Otherwise a great place!
Very tasty! Had good options for both of my kids! Got us in quickly and got us out quickly so we could make the polar express on time.
Good meal and great service. The place is quite noisy because everyone is having fun! The portions were way too big for us. The chicken was a bit dry, but the big plate of broccoli fettuccine was quite good. This place is apparently a favorite in town. Go ahead and enjoy!
Had an early dinner which helped avoid the rush. Family friendly atmosphere and prompt, attentive waitstaff. The fish and chips was recommended by our waitress and it was a home run. The two large and well seasoned filets were very tasty. The fried portabella appetizer is also a must with a generous portion provided. Overall a very good dining experience.
Update: We went back for our 25 anniversary dinner on 10/7. We ordered steak which was great! Unfortunately the kitchen was behind and didn't have baked potato ready when we ordered. We got more onion rings as a side because they were so good. Wonderful Larry Bird memoribilia and decor. 10/5: Really great atmosphere. We had the chicken nachos and onion rings and they were both excellent. This is a great place to visit on your trip to French Lick!
We went to 33 Brickstreet with friends for the first time. The service was amazing, the appetizer of Fried mushrooms was delicious, except for the ranch, just to bland, for rhe mushrooms, and something with Dijon or horseradish would have complimented them much better. We both had rhe ceaser salad, the lettuce was not crisp, but okay, the caeser was not mixed in as most caeser, salads are, but the dressing was not thick as usual it was straight out of a generic bottle closer to the consistency of Italian than Caeser dressing. The steak, I had the ribeye, and my husband had the filet, was amazing, the baked potato was delicious, a small ding for individual packages of sour cream, a fresh scoop would have been nice. All in all with one beer and and ice, tea and appetizer, and two meals our bill was $90.
While the girl who took our to-go order and gave us the food was super respectful and sweet, the food itself was not what we hoped for. $35 for 2 orders of Cajun pasta, just to get very bland Alfredo with chewy chicken on top. Disappointing for someone visiting.
Our food was alright. The main dishes were okay, but the house made chips were terrible and the fries weren't much better. They all tasted like old gross oil. Only one item ordered was incorrect (gave a wrong side but the kitchen quickly fixed the issue). Our server was not as attentive as she could've been and had to be asked for multiple things. The patio area was very comfortable to sit in though!
Great atmosphere and wait staff, terrible food. Food: tasted like canned green beans (super mushy), the French dip tasted like the meat was microwaved and the salmon was super dry.
This was the first time there and it seemed ok. I had the 33 burger and it had a decent taste but was cooked well done that made it a little dry.. I had the fries and to me they were really good. My wife had the tenderloin and she wasn't pleased with it at all and was taken off our bill. I really liked the fried pickles, they were done well and you got a bowl full (picture don't show it). Also tasted the mushrooms and they seemed good as well. If you go, good luck and you be the judge.
Took over 40mins to get our food. I ordered the ribeye steak which half was overcooked, chewy, and dry while the other half was just right and tender. It definitely needed more flavor/seasoning. My husband ordered the Bacon and Cheddar beef Burger which was dry, had no sauce, and again, lacking in flavor. Maybe we just came during a bad time as it was very busy with a line up of people waiting, but the experience, service, and food were all just ok..
Atmosphere and waitress was great. We ordered pork chops and salmon. Both dried out. You cant get a baked potatoe till after 5. For the cost of the meal this place needs a chef and not some line cook. Do better. I was excited to try this place. Been twice and couldnt get in the door. Tried a 3rd time on a Sunday. The only thing worth eating was the salad. Waitress asked if we wanted take out boxes. She should asked what was wrong with the meal. Since, we went with her recommendations.
Our experience this trip was not as anyone would hope or expect. First suggestion - do not place an order over the phone, 2nd ask for a server when placing order. DO NOT ATTEMPT WITH A HOSTESS. We placed our order at 6:50, told to pickup in 15 minutes. When my husband arrived on time, the hostess was not making any sense. My husband came and waved me in to try and make sense of what she was saying. As I listened her speech wasn’t even clear, more muffled than anything. I looked at her and said you are going to need to explain what the problem is. She turned around and just walked away. My husband said they don’t have one of the items we ordered. We had to figure it out ourselves as to what item/s were missing. At least 5 minutes pass and a different person came to help who was helpful. In the end we needed to add a menu item, wait additional 10 minutes. Pay for our food with a $10 off an $85 appx tab. Get back to our Villa which is across the street to eat cold food. Big disappointment this trip, hopefully the restaurant can work a bit harder on properly training their hostess and work on customer care, hell we would have paid more for hot food and better communication.
My family and I go to 33 Brick Street every time we go to French Lick. We were staying at the French Lick Resort and took a bus to the restaurant. Their website said they close at 7. We arrived at 6:20 and they turned us away. Mind you we had very hungry little ones and they made us walk 2 blocks down in the rain to the next restaurant. This restaurant is called Legends. I highly reccomend Legends. They didn't turn us away and the staff was very friendly. Food is good and reasonable priced and also fast service. I will never go back to 33 Brick Street. And I used to be a restaurant manager, so I always give second chances. But not this time.
We were told a 45 minute wait. At 55 minutes, I went up to the hostess, and she said she had been ringing our buzzer, We were at the bar and it never went off Didn’t appreciate her attitude. We waited an extremely long time for a party of nine for our food We ordered The Bird. Extremely dry and overcooked. Very disappointed.
Service and atmosphere were great. We have ate there several other times and it has always been great. Today it was not. Food was very greasy and even the potato chips. I have never sent food back at a restaurant but should have this time.
Host was sweet and sat us quickly. She didn't give us silverware but I wasn't worried. We waited a normal amount of time for the server. Server was kind. Took our drink order, got our drinks, took our food order (kid's menu is written on a board on a wall? That just seemed weird but whatever)....then it went downhill. Our food took a very long time (granted the hubs had grilled chicken and they were a little busy. I would've happily looked past the wait time if the rest hadn't happened). A young man brought our food. We told him we needed silverware. He said "ok" then never returned. We sat for awhile and I gave up waiting and got the last one from the basket at the empty host stand on my own. I got the French dip which was delicious but messy so I needed silverware and a napkin, too. We were both halfway thru our food with completely empty cups before our server checked on us. She got us silverware, filled both of our sodas and came back. She took my son's lemonade cup and then never came back. After we were done eating, she finally came back to the table (we never saw her otherwise to even wave down), smelling very strongly of cigarette smoke (she was now wearing a flannel shirt which was more evidence if a smoke break bc it was cold outside). She still didn't have my kiddo's lemonade. She went and got that and the boxes I asked for and we paid and left. I almost asked for a manager but we were all tired and had an hour drive ahead of us and I didn't want to seem like we just wanted something for free-we didn't. Just wanted to give honest feedback. Hopefully someone who can do something will see it. All in all, food was great, probably won't go back bc of the service. We clearly weren't a priority for anyone.
The food was fairly reasonable. The cajun chicken pasta lacked Cajun flavors but was still good. The part that got us was the absolutely terrible service. We were seated immediately and drinks were brought to the table fairly quickly. That said, we ordered our food and waited a little longer than expected but not too bad. Our son was very thirsty so he finished his lemonade by the time our food came out. The expediter brought our food out and we still had not received silverware, I politely asked him for some, he acknowledged the request, and then he went back into kitchen and got more food for another table and never came back to us. After about 5 minutes my wife was able to find one set on her own so we could start eating some of our food. Halfway through eating and sharing a single set of silverware and one napkin the server finally returned and we had to ask again for silverware and refills on our empty drinks. We finally got all the silverware and the server left with my son's cup to refill. She never returned, and in fact went on a 10 minute smoke break (I only know this to be true because it was all I could smell when she returned). She then realized that she never returned with my son's drink, but by that time we were done eating. In the end my son never ate his food because he was thirsty and had a grilled cheese sandwich that he knew he needed a drink for. We had just done the Polar Express and had a great time on that but this experience really sucked the joy out of the evening for us and our son. I would personally avoid this place, particularly if you are looking for somewhere to eat after the polar express.
First time going there in my life, invited 2 of my friends and we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. Food was still good, just a long wait. Waitress was great; checked up on us a lot. It still makes me sick of how there was barley any body in the restaurant and our food took so damn long.
Walked in at 6:20 with 2 hungry kids and a bus that already left us (pouring rain) -- refused to seat us when they close at 7 because they "had a long wait earlier" -- no wait at 6:20. We are pretty regulars and usually enjoy this place -- will not be going back anytime soon. We will be taking our money elsewhere as they clearly do not need the business if they turn people away. We left frustrated and wet but found great food nearby with friendly staff willing to help us! We are grateful for that!
We all ordered pasta. The Alfredo was watery and flavorless and the noodles were extremely overdone. Half of the plate was cold. The chicken on the Cajun pasta was alright but the shrimp was cold as if it had been sitting out for a while. For almost 20 dollars a plate, that is completely ridiculous. Our server wasnt bad but she hovered a lot and just stared even after we said we needed more time to look over the menu and lead to us feeling rushed.
This may be my first review I’ve written that’s this negative, as I understand that challenges that the restaurant industry deals with (staffing, inflation, etc.) However, I feel that my experience warrants a proper warning to others. My wife and children visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. There was a wait, which was understandable for the weekend. After 20 minutes or so we were seated, at this point we thought that the worst of our waiting was behind us, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. By this point the lunch rush had died down, and the restaurant was at half capacity (at most.) Our waitress took our drink order and we waited another 20 minutes for our drinks. When the drinks arrived, we placed our food order along with an appetizer. Luckily we ordered an appetizer, as we wouldn’t receive our entree’s for over an hour. After noticing numerous tables be seated, ordering, and receiving their food after we had placed our order over 30 minutes prior, we politely asked if there was an estimate for our food (as the kids were beyond restless at this point.) The waitress was extremely rude that we were (nicely) inquiring about our order, which we had every right to do considering a family at a table beside us had finished their meals after ordering nearly 30 minutes after us. We assumed that the waitress had forgotten to enter our order, which we would’ve understood as everyone makes mistakes. The fact that she treated us as if we were being rude by inquiring about our food in that situation is the reason for this review. The burgers/kids meals that we finally received were lukewarm and some had obviously been sitting under a warmer for awhile, so I’m not sure what caused the extended delay other than spite from the waitress at that point. Nevertheless, we did not complain or ask for a discount, and still tipped her 20%, which is less than what I normally tip. Everyone has bad days, but after that experience we will not return to this establishment.
Sorry Larry 😕this place scores a big 1 star at best. Food was overcooked and took Forever to get out burgers while a table who came at least 39 min after got served pork chops and full dinners at the same time. Broccoli was flavorlesss and the fries were even overdone. Asked for no mushrooms on the burger and of course here it comes all dressed up with mushrooms (which I know happens so believe me it was the least of my complaints about the food and service). I never leave bad reviews but I'm hoping it will make you all step up your game. Could be an awesome place but the service and food quality just didn't hit any positive marks for us. They did discount the burger for us and that was very nice. Theu were very crowded but I noticed most were just drinking. Our waitress was very kind but it just was a bad experience overall.
Once we placed our name on the list to be seated we were told 30 minutes, so ok no problem. Then as tables were being cleaned due to people leaving we asked if we could be seated, and the response was no not until the kitchen caught up. So one hour and twenty minutes later we left and so did the 22 people that were waiting along with us, not actually with us but in the waiting area. I took a quick walk and seen that at least half the tables were clean and no one being seated at those tables. Seat the people and let them have drinks at the minimum. But nope kept being told no one could be seated until the kitchen was caught up. Will be a very long time before I even think about returning there.
On a trip and our hotel recommended this place. Our server was great but the food and wait time was horrible. We waited almost an hour to get our food. I had a burger and onion rings and the burger had raw bacon on it. I ordered the onion rings crispy and they weren’t. Some of the worst onion rings I have had. Didn’t want to complain and get it corrected due to how long we waited just to get our food. Overall not happy with this place.
Chicken tenders were good for the kids, but my wife I ordered the The 3 Pointer. Obviously when reading everything on it we assumed it was a burger. It does not say its a grilled cheese sandwich. The waitress said this happens all the time. I asked to have the burger and 15 minutes later she said mine will be next. The manager tried to come over after the fact and said it clearly said grilled cheese sandwich. So everyone go read it and tell me where it says grilled cheese sandwich. Service was not good and management was worse. Attitude by both. Because of these things we will not be coming back.
Absolutely worst service and food. I ordered the blackened salmon salad and they forgot my salmon when it came out. Waited 20 minutes for it to arrive. When it did, it was the wrong flavored salmon. The manager, Alicia, was beyond rude and blamed the mistake on me. I do not recommend coming here. Although the mimosas were pretty good.
