Baklava House Fresno Reviews
Delicious homemade Russian Armenian Mediterranean food. Very welcoming. Borscht was excellent and so were blinchik which is like a savory crepe. Must return again and again. Thank you for your hospitality!
Hidden gem! 100% underrated restaurant. Very friendly and the food are delicious. I’m glad they have dolma available, the cabbage roll is my favorite. the baklava are very eye catching but unfortunately didn’t have a chance to try because we ordered so much
Great service and great food. You get what you paid for and I feel like the portions are so big worth the money. I think I even met the owner and she was so nice and welcoming. Its always nice feeling welcomed. Now ima go finish my leftovers😋 😅 10/10 🔥🔥🔥
Harry’s Henhouse is connected to this place. Check them both out! The service was outstanding and the food was great.
First time here. Very nice decor, clean and sophisticated. We ordered vegetarian cabbage rolls, artichoke and spinach dip and smoked salmon bagel. They all had great flavor. The pistachio and rose baklava was good as well. Prices fair for what you get.
Cheese pull cheese pull cheese pull cheese pull!! Delicious and a lot more food than I eexpected!
It's a small cute place. The baklava is good. I love their pesto Alfredo. It's hard to find good Alfredo in town and I would say thier Alfredo is by far the best so far from all the places I've tried. I definitely want to try their other dishes. The kapachuri, not sure if I spelled it right but that was also good. Flaky bread with stuffed cheese. I also tried the chicken soup and it was ok but still good. Itll be good for those sick days when all you can eat is soup. It's very light in flavor so perfect for sick days. The iced coffee was ok. It's too milky taste for me, I couldn't taste the coffee as much. The fruit compote tea is good.
WOW! This is the epitome of a sophisticated adult treat. The artisanal craftsmanship that went into the delicate layers of buttery heaven was on another level. I feel like the 4 flavors we chose tasted like each of the 4 seasons (Pistachio/Spring, Raspberry/Summer, Apricot/Fall, and Walnut/Winter). So ...so good. Well worth the cheat day.
The Baklava here is the best in Fresno. I love the raspberry one the best. The cakes are great as well. Everything is always so fresh here.
A darling gem in Northwest Fresno, nestled in a long-standing shopping center. They not only have baklava but meals too! We were there for a mid afternoon snack, so we shared a Georgian cheese bread with Basterma. We also had an all-pistachio baklava each. They have SO MANY varieties! Tp take home, we bought apricot, almond, Nutella baklava flavors and strawberry pastry, and almond pastry. Chatted with the sweet server too. The atmosphere is clean and chic. We will definitely be back any time we are back in town.
Super nice staff with a huge selection of baklava flavors!! $4 each.. so very good!! (08/2025)

Big selection of different kinds of baklava. Portions are entrees are huge.
The pasta dishes are very generous, and so well balanced in terms of flavor. They have a great vodka pasta and their pesto chicken one is also good. My partner got the salmon dish and it was some of the best salmon in Fresno; this is coming from someone who doesn't like fish. Deserts / pasterys are amazing as well. It's rare for a restaurant to not be reheating Sysco meals. This is one of the few that has actual flavor
Fantastic Shashuka! Well worth the price and plenty of food. Served with pita but you can ask for toasted bread!! This is our 2 nd time here and enjoyed every bite!!

Delicious whole fried chicken with fries, Cole slaw, and Mac n cheese. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes for your chicken to be prepared, but it will come hot, fresh, moist and crispy! Fabulous fries, too!
You will not be disappointed! Everything was delicious! We had the chicken bowl and the vegetables were grilled and fresh. The pesto pasta was amazing! We got the baklava to go and it has always been delicious! Our server Irie was very sweet and she gave us good recommendations for the menu. Will definitely be back again!
I've been watching the the work on this new eatery at the NW corner of Bullard and West for quite some time and the other day when I saw their Grand Opening sign my wife and I could not resist stopping in to check them out. Not to brag, but my wife makes excellent Baklava, so we have the goal set pretty high. We purchased 3 different Baklavas: regular, pistachio, and (???) can't recall the other. I had the pistachio later that evening and can honestly say --> it did not disappoint. They don't have a takeout menu yet so I snapped the front and back of the menu they do have. I'd give the Baklave 5 stars, but I think its only fair to start with the 4 stars since we haven't had anything else yet. Prices look reasonable and food looks delicious so we will be visiting again soon to try out some of their meal offerings. I plan to give an update soon. ___________________________________________ UPDATE: since our first visit we've gone back twice. Once around lunch just to have a quick bite and some coffee and yesterday for breakfast. We ordered a Shakshuka and a waffles and were able to split the dishes between the two of us and it sufficient. First time for me to have shakshuka and I'm now a huge fan of this dish. The waffles were a bit tough, so I think we'll try the pancakes next time. They didn't serve the waffles with butter; had to ask for it. Overall though, we enjoyed and plan to return again in the future.
My first time here. Delicious food! I will be returning. The Tuscan Chicken was perfect! So much flavor. There were 3 ladies working when my husband & I went. I'd like to suggest a few things: 1. Please don't forget about the customer after you've served them their food. 2. Please refill customers water. 3. Please provide 2 plates for a couple. Thank you.

It’s a family business, a very clean restaurant and very affordable!!! We had chicken panini, smoked brisket, mixed baklava, red velvet and honey cake. The food taste was average, typical American taste. The red velvet was a little bit dry and had no cheese but just whipping cream. The honey cake had that authentic flavor, I loved it but it needs few more layers. Baklava were good and generous. If you want to support local businesses, you should give them a try!!!

This is more towards Harry’s hen house because they own it too but there food and service is always good but I order the spicy chicken and she even repeated it back to me get home and it wasn’t spicy chicken so I called and the response was oh sorry I get it’s family owned but not a oh please come back my apologies I do see that you wanted spicy I just was shocked how she didn’t even try to fix the problem.

I was really hopeful of this place but it's been consistently inconsistent. And I wouldn't mind if it was just OK or average but after my last order, it's become necessary to put this review. I've been ordering take-outs for 3-4 times from here now. This time we ordered two main dishes and some pastries. One of the dishes that we really were excited about was the Bulgur Mushroom Pilaf, but what we got when I arrived back home just some plain rice with that frozen chicken stuff. Mushroom? Bulgur?? Not even a trace. Also attaching the pictures of what I ordered and what we got. The taste, however, was the blandest thing we've experienced recently. And when I called afterwards to see what has happened, the young lady on the phone was oblivious to how they even make the food. I simply asked how they make the Bulgur Mushroom Pilaf, and not only did she not know how it's served at all, she dismissed my questions with an attitude, saying they may have run out of bulgur, and then not minding a long silence over the phone. Then after asking 3-4 times and kindly saying this food wasn't expected, again with the same dismissive tone, she only said that their chef has left and there's nothing she can do. And of course, there's no apology or sorry or not even mentioning that I was also charged the original amount, but served without any of the essential ingredients in the food I ordered. Plus, she had all this attitude knowing she also got a pretty decent tip for an order pickup when I went to pick up the food. I now feel really naive to think she may have had that attitude during pickup maybe because I unknowingly gave out an unkind vibe or something, but no, I'm confident now that this is just how this place is. I hate to have made this comment as I really wanted to like this place. It's also in a good proximity to my neighborhood, and I didn't mind all the other things that made my previous orders unpleasant, but this was just the last straw. I'm done.

I would love to tell you that the food is good. Drove half an hour to get there. Google said open. Open light sign was turned on. The door hours posted said open at 9. Doors were locked and a girl in a hurry said they dont open until 11. I was there at 10.
This restaurant messed up my moms order bad!!! They charged her for Georgian cheese bread for like 15 bucks and then didn't give her what she orded. You know what they did to compensate her? They gave her a desert.... It costs more than 10 bucks to drive there and back!!! She was on that side of town and wanted to try it. NEVER AGAIN. horrible service. There are much better and cheaper options in fresno. She should have gotten ALL her money back and/or a free meal next time. DO NOT COME HERE. They messed up my order last time as welll!!!!
