Wendy's Gainesville Reviews
Any drive-through girl that says "thank you, love" gets 5 stars. Then a kitchen manager seems like delivered my food through the window and says, "thank you, love" It doesn't cost anything extra to be nice ...nor lovable! It was a little early for lunch but I wanted a taco salad - it has chili and salsa, sour cream and tortilla chips. But, the I was told the chili wasn't ready. Oh but, let me check, love...and it was ready! This is some of the best fast food out there. Real food! Thank you for being so 'love'ly' awesome job from a brand new building.
staff was super nice. place was VERY clean. food was fresh. what more can you ask for.

This Wendy’s used to be hella dysfunctional but they’ve really turned it around and have been delivering quick, high quality service for the past few months. I love a good underdog story and I’m hella proud of this Wendys.
Not only is this the only Wendy’s in town that doesn’t take 20 minutes for the drive thru- one of the guys who works there (I think his name was Marcus, worked late on 9/3/2025) was genuinely one of the friendliest people I’ve met, and clearly enjoyed helping customers. Y’all better keep this man employed.
I have to give huge credit to the manager Selena at this Wendy’s. Every time we come in, she is absolutely on point. She treats her team with genuine kindness and respect, and you can feel the positive energy the moment you walk through the door. She’s always friendly, always engaged, and consistently goes above and beyond for customers. I’ve personally watched her run out and flag down a city bus just to make sure a customer could make it home, who does that anymore? As someone who owns a business and consults for many others, I can tell you that managers like her are extremely rare. She clearly takes pride in what she does, and it shows not only in the service but in the way her employees respond to her. She has built a true customer-service-driven culture here. We’re regulars at this location, and she is one of the biggest reasons why. Wendy’s is lucky to have her.

Satisfied the fast food craving me and my husband had. I ordered the ranch asiago chicken sandwich and he had the pretzel chicken sandwich with a large fries and Coke with no ice. Everything was fresh and we only had to wait about 7 minutes since there were 5 cars in front of us at the drive-thru. Only thing that was incorrect was I had bacon in my sandwich and I didn't order that (no bacon requested)...the rest of the order was good. We'd go here again if we were in the area. Update 10/10/23: We had a burger craving before work, so we ended up here. Ordered 2 Dave's Doubles without tomatoes, 1 with the meal (fries and fountain drink). Order was correct, but fries weren't filled up, so they lost 1 star from my original rating. Only a few minutes of waiting and the servers were friendly and polite, so aside from the food being less than the quality we expected, everything was ok.

I literally just went to Wendy’s today and I ordered a BLT biggie bag. A BLT with EXTRA pickles and i only got 2(!) pickle slices. Wendy’s, what the hell?
Wow this place is a weird mix Men's room sink absolutely doesn't work, but apparently this has gone on so long they installed a sink in the hallway? Yeah not making this up. Never saw any managers but plenty of staff, food was OK but slow. Spent $13.21 on a medium baconator combo. The tea urn is wide open no lid and whatever lands in it is swimming in it so yeah that's gonna be a HARD NO for me. Most of what is wrong here is proof management doesn't care enough to fix it. Crew busy joking around in back so pretty sure either there is no manager or they are part of the circus. Food was OK staff was friendly, just the rest left me feeling like a food truck might have been cleaner.

When it comes to a new fast food restaurant being opened, there are two things you can count on: lots of customers, and lots of staff. There is always a surge of hires to begin with to account for the volume, and then as the hype dies away, there's a merciless pruning of staff that follows. This phenomenon is fairly consistent. The reason for the initial high staffing is simple: a fast food restaurant's success lives and dies on its speed of service. You're competing with McDonald's and Checkers across the street, Wawa down the block, and Firehouse Subs right next door. You need to nail it right at the beginning so that people will view it as a reliably quick stop, because customers will balk at the long lines otherwise. And oh, how they didn't nail it! Seriously, I think more money went into the interior decoration than actually hiring sufficient staff to accommodate the loads. The drive-thru line was a little long but not excessively so. I actually went inside and ordered from a kiosk. The kiosk ordering system is a bit pathetic; the touchscreen responsiveness is incredibly slow, and it doesn't allow you to sync with a rewards app like McDonald's does. The tables were clean, didn't try to use the restrooms. After ordering, the wait was about 20 minutes. The food was at least decent, being warm and properly cooked. However, I don't think this is worth returning to due to the lack of speed. This restaurant opened not that long ago. If this is considered the high water mark for staffing and speed, then this Wendy's has a very grim future.

Ordered the asiago chicken club. Guess they were OUT OF BACON. Didn’t have time to go back. Recommend you get a receipt.

Stood in line for 5 minutes while seeing 3 red shirt managers, one on phone other two conversing with each other as they saw ME and two others in line and they let one cashier do all the work. I WALKED OUT!! I will write a review each time I see management allowing customers to wait as they know we are visible to them and not doing anything productive for good service.
My adult son stepped into this location and asked for a glass of water and was told by the cashier Scott) that"water was for paying customers" my son explained to the cashier that he was taking several antibiotics and was more sensitive to the sun and really needed to cool off. My son was treated by the emergency department recently and had his foot bandaged. The cashier went so far as to not only tell my son to take the water and leave but actually physically ESCORTED him to the door and refused to hand the glass of water to my son until he stepped out of the restaurant! When I met my son moments later to join him at Wendy's for dinner, he explained how he was excorted out of the building by thi an employee. I felt as if something was missing from the story so I questioned the manager on duty about the interaction and asked why my son was ESCORTED from the building with no cause. The manager says the employee received a "stearn taking to". I feel more should be done to increase Scott"a sensitivity and inclusion of people of other races and socioeconomic levels. I requested an apology from the cashier to my son for the embarrassment he caused. Dispute being given three separate opportuies to apologize, he blatantly refused. Instead, he started to explain how he was right even though the manager and every other employee in dirty was strongly encouraging him to apologize. He refused. This employee should not be working with the public. When I asked him point blank if was going to apologize he began telling us that when he was son's she, he was in the military. What?? What does that have to do with anything? If anything, it shows that he was judging my son based on his physical appearance. He has no compassion. We are experiencing record high temps and this cashier went outside his job description to take it upon himself to decide my son was not worthy of a glass of water and to wait for the rest of his party to arrive as countless others do everyday. This cashier discriminated against my son after passing judgement upon him and finding him unworthy! Wow. Also, the restaurant was absolutely filthy! I should have taken more pics but I was trying to be nice. There were French fries and garbage on the floor in the prep area. I did snap a pic of the soda machine! The whole location was a complete mess and was similar cleanliness level😳

Gave this place another chance, last time I walked out after 20 minutes of waiting for a MOBILE ORDER. this time it was ready when I arrived, but frosty was strawberry swirl not chocolate, only half full and melting. Like they gave me someone else's unclaimed frosty. Fries were also half empty, soggy and all were MAYBE an inch long. Burger was slopped together and covered in excess condiments. Learned my lesson this time, won't be back.
Community bathroom sinks but you can’t refill the paper towels. Get it together nobody wants to eat food with wet hands Wendy’s.
woman taking our order was extremely rushed and coming off very rude. i understand being stressed, as i also work in the service/food industry, but (especially as seeing she was wearing a manager polo) this behavior is completely inappropriate. as a manager, it is your job to uphold the standard for the company you are representing. i expect this type of behavior from my employees in their teens (as a manager as well), but not someone with that level of responsibility. sometimes when it gets stressful, you either have to take a breather, or slap in a smile, that’s the whole point of the service industry. not as important because it’s fast food, but all food was stale and were given no straws :/ very disappointed as this was once my favorite location in town!
The manager Selena D. is very hostile to her crew members from what I have seen as a customer. She belittles them, and talk down on them in front of customers. She seems to put excessive amount of pressure on the crew members as well. Crew members seem worried. Rude to customers too! Certain other mangers don't do anything about it! I don't recommend eating at any of the Gainesville, FL or surrounding stores. Ew! Not peaceful to eat at!
So don’t order a four piece tender box at this location. Twice now I have ordered two four piece tenders, and only got three tenders of my four piece. You order 8 pay for 8 and only receive 6. Twice now this has happened. When you give a store a second chance and they rip you off a second time just proves they don’t care to make sure you get everything you pay for.
Probably some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Employees look mean, angry, no smiles, they don’t speak, terrible service. Saying “have a nice day” is simple and it’s free
Recently the service part of things has really gone down hill. Went there 8/20/2025 had placed a mobile order >25 minutes before close waited in the drive through for over 15 minutes to be told that they are "out of everything" and are "now closed" I had even told the person at the drive through I had placed an order 20minutes before and the lady said "she didn't know what to tell me bc they are closed" Had this been a one off occurrence I would be a little more understanding but this has happened several times. The only reason I've even gone back is it's the closest to my house. That said between their prices skyrocketing, quality declining for i'm inclined to just give them a hard pass
I ordered food for other people only for the order to be incorrect. Also, to give someone regular nuggets when they ordered spicy is unacceptable. Then when asked are you sure it's spicy being told yes and they were not....be more friendlier to your customers and don't cheat them.
Ordered an egg, bacon and chees biscuit meal in the drive-through this morning. The biscuit was cold (the cheese wasn’t even melted). The potatoes were luke warm at best and looked old. Coke was fine. If I wasn’t i. a hurry, I would have returned this bag of garbage. Never again!!!

Where do I start: didn't call out order names, forgot to include drink, slow and disorganized and handing out the wrong orders. they should sit the managers down and make them take a class on how to operate an assembly line because customers should not have to unbag their purchase in store to verify its accuracy EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Perhaps if Wendy's can't figure out how to load the right order they should start going over the order as they bag it with their customers. This was an absolute disgrace and needs to be addressed.
