The Killer Taco Georgetown Reviews
Killer tacos are exactly that... KILLER TACOS! OMG. I went today for lunch and had a fish taco that was maybe the best one I've ever had, so of course I had to try another. They recommended the Cowboy taco and it was freagin amazing. Honestly, 2x HUGE tacos that were OFF THE CHARTS DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. Sending my family there to have great tacos when I'm gone.
Delicious flavors blending together! One taco is enough for a meal! Definitely will go again. Nice that they have tables and shade set up for customers.
Potentially the best tacos we’ve ever had! Crispy shell that didn’t fall apart. Sat in the sun and had a great meal. Thank you!
Very tasty and fresh. Will have come back again. I really enjoyed the 2 step brisket taco.
Tried the killer taco for the first time and really enjoyed it. The tacos truly are huge! And the two folks there were so nice and informative. We tried the carne asada and killer chicken taco. There’s picnic tables to sit and enjoy your tacos right there. They also give you forks because the tacos are very generously filled. I recommend going early because they had already run out of fish and lobster today. We can’t wait to go back and try more of the options! Edited to add: you can tell they really put love into their tacos carefully assembling and preparing them. Also the pickled onions were so good!
Best tacos I’ve had in a long while!! So good and filling! My brother and I both got the cowboy brisket taco and carne Asada tacos and they’re AMAZING! Definitely recommend this place.
Had the brisket breakfast taco, and honestly it has to be the best breakfast taco I’ve had in a while. Most brisket breakfast tavos lack good brisket, but bro cooked this brisket to perfection. Everything from the tortilla to the Chipotle ranch (which I 100% recommend on anything, if it tasted this elite on brisket) was absolutely amazing. The size was well worth the price and honestly one taco will do well for anyone.
We were craving mexican tacos and decided to stop at Killer Taco, when we arrived we realized it was not your typical taco place in a good way. We had a Briaket and Pork tacos and they were amazing... the meat was juicy and tender, the Pico de Gallo, corn and coleslaw were a great addition and the size of the taco was amazing. We will definitely recommend this place and will be back when we are around... Thank you
This hidden gem hit the mark! I was craving some tacos after leaving the courthouse and found this taco truck right nearby. I ordered 2 tacos and had a free beer while waiting! Who serves free beer? The Killer Taco does and was not only tasty food but the service was friendly and I didn’t have to wait long. Give this place a try if you’re in Georgetown!
Great tacos and they’re huge portions compared to other taco trucks I’ve been to. Lots of hot sauce selections. FREE BEER! Covered outdoor seating. They were trying a new system with their online ordering so just double check where your order is at. But I recommend if you want a taco off the square. Our tacos were $10 each and chicken and brisket.
This place deserves more than 5 stars! The food is absolutely mind-blowing, with generous portion sizes that truly deliver on value. The Ahi Tostada was incredibly fresh, with top-tier quality seafood that had no smell—a clear sign of freshness. Every layer and flavor came together perfectly, creating a symphony of taste. The service was simple yet exceptional, with a warm and friendly touch that made the experience even better. The atmosphere reflected their thoughtful and personable nature—clean, inviting, and well-organized. I was especially impressed by the small yet thoughtful details, like the variety of sauces on the table and even a sink for handwashing at a food truck. Thank you, Marc, for going above and beyond—you made my day!
In an effort to support a small business, I decided to have Killer Taco cater our 2026 Kick-Off Breakfast. Since they don’t normally open until 9:00 a.m., I reached out directly to the owner, Dustin, to see if he could accommodate a large order and have it ready by 8:00 a.m. After trying the tacos the day before, Dustin assured me he could handle both the size of the order and the earlier pickup time. On the morning of the event, I texted Dustin to confirm the food would be ready when I arrived but didn’t receive an immediate response. After following up, he replied that they had been there since early morning to ensure everything would be ready. I arrived at the food truck a little after 8:00 a.m., but the team was still cooking. Despite communicating multiple times that I needed to leave promptly to be on time for the Kick-Off Breakfast, the order was still not complete. At 8:35 a.m., I asked him to give me what was ready so I could head to the office. As a result, I arrived about 15–20 minutes late to an event attended by several company executives. We set up the food, and despite the delay, the outcome was a positive one. The best part of it all was the food. Everyone loved the tacos. We had attendees from across the country — California, Alabama, Texas, New York, and more — and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The quality and taste of the food made the experience worthwhile and reminded me why it’s important to give small businesses the opportunity to take on big orders. Dustin, thank you for the adventure. In the end, it all worked out for our event. Sincerely, JC
I ordered the Killer Chicken Taco and an order of fries. I was really surprised about the chicken. I was expecting more of a fajita type but it was a breaded, fried strip cut into pieces. It had a really good flavor but just not what I was expecting. I'm not exactly sure of the tortilla they use but it was really good and crispy and I like the toppings a lot. I do feel that $10 for one taco and $8.00 for fries is a bit much (Total amount for lunch without ordering a drink for one person-$18.00.) They are big but if you're hungry or just grown man you would need 2. I also ordered fries for myself but it could easily be shared by two or three people. I will definitely try again. The service was really good and I like the atmosphere.
We love food trucks.. with that said, we were happy to find this place after a track meet at Southwestern Univ. We ordered 2 lobster tacos, brisket cowboy taco, and a coconut shrimp plate and an order of fries.. The kids enjoyed their brisket and shrimp.. my bf and I had the lobster tacos.. although we both loved them, I think something's missing/off.. can't pin point it, but I guess it could be the flavor combo of the lobster, guac, slaw?? But it wasn't bad, still ate the whole thing!! The fries were fresh and crispy, just how we like them.. assortment of hot sauce was a major plus.. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu specifically onion rings.. perhaps try their coffee too! Wish they had other free drinks.. we don't drink beer.. lol.. but that's an awesome thing for those who do!! Extra kudos: awesome 80's/90's music playing in the background 🤘🏽
I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this business definitely needs to fix some things. Hopefully they were just having an off day, but the wait was way too long! The food was good but definitely more expensive than “food truck” would imply. In short, you can probably drive 20 minutes to a cheaper taco experience, get same or better quality food, and be eating a lot quicker (even with the drive). Editing to add based on the response: there were two people working, one cooking and one taking orders. I totally hear you that slow food is the vibe, but at least two other people asked how much longer it would take for their order, so it wasn’t just me feeling it. Maybe giving an expected wait time with the order would help. A good solution I saw people do was to place the order, go do their shopping and come back. The timing worked out well, so maybe others can try that. As for the taco math of 1 big vs. 3 tiny, people can look at the prices & pictures and come to their own conclusions. I won’t belabor the point other than to say a quick search of nearby places found tacos for $3.50 to $5.50 where two seemed to be more than enough; McDonalds is absolutely not the only other option.
