Hoy no he podido obtener fotos ya que he llegado tarde.
We came for dinner yesterday, and even though they had long tables full of people eating, the staff were very friendly and served us quite quickly. We ordered several appetizers to share, which were plentiful and delicious. The hamburgers were also outstanding; they cooked the meat perfectly, which we loved. Everything was excellent. We left very happy and will definitely be back, as we have been doing for some time now.
Four of us went for lunch over the Santiago long weekend, and there were very few people there, which made for excellent service from the entire staff. The food was well served and beautifully cooked. The quality/price ratio was unbeatable. The shrimp croquettes, the Russian salad, and the grilled octopus are highly recommended, as are the tempura cod and the entrecote. I can't fault anything; everything was perfect. We'll be back.
They have a great selection of original and varied dishes; the salmon tartare, wakame, and Russian salad are highly recommended. The desserts are also very good. The place is cozy and has a children's area with bouncy castles of varying heights, making it ideal for families with kids. The staff is very friendly.
Restaurante La Verbena. Getafe.
My partner and I went out looking for somewhere to have dinner and we stumbled upon this place by chance, and what a pleasant surprise it was. We sat on a quiet terrace where, after a good look at the menu that was as modern as it was original, we decided to order the tempura vegetables and shrimp, which we thought was a hearty dish that we also loved; the grilled octopus, which for me was the best of the night, tender and super tasty; and a half portion of croquettes that unfortunately didn't live up to the previous portions. The service was serious but also appropriate, and although the price is a bit pricey, we're eager to return and try new things on the menu.
The food is very good, everything is delicious and the portions are generous. The menu blends Spanish cuisine with Asian influences (shiitake mushrooms, tempura, tuna tataki, etc.). Everything we ate was very tasty. The service was rather absentminded, mixing up dishes and drinks, but very friendly and attentive. With time, they'll learn the ropes. That's why I'm not giving them 5 stars.
A pleasant place to dine with your partner, friends, and family, including the little ones. They have a small ball park and a more than adequate children's menu. The food is very good and well-prepared. The price is very good, as the quality/price ratio is good, around €25/€30 per person. We had dinner without wine (beer). The waiters were very attentive but not overwhelming. Card payments are accepted. Highly recommended.
With a very unusual and distinctive decor, La Verbena offers a variety of dishes, and they have a daily menu for almost €14. I would like to point out that, as we found out about the menu, you can be unlucky. For starters, we had salmorejo, salad, and fried eggplant... all very good and generally good. For main courses, we chose between chicken and entrecote. Those who chose chicken found the piece a bit small, but still delicious. For dessert, the cake was the most personal option; the rest was a matter of diet, ice cream, etc. As I said, the cake was really good. Friendly service and attentive service.
Regular
A place for lunch or dinner, with modern, quality cuisine, although the price-performance ratio isn't in line with the offerings, and it's an uncomfortable place to enjoy the evening. If you're going with children, they have a space for them to entertain themselves and better enjoy the gathering, but... ...they're no longer a good bet, and the worst thing that can happen to a business is a loss of ambition and a lack of innovation. You always find the same old thing; the excitement of the early days is gone, a shame.
I won't be back. The manager and one waitress were rude (the other waitress was very friendly). We complained because there were dishes meant to be shared between four people. There were ten of us at my table, and they brought us enough for eight. After complaining, we heard them call us a "troublesome table." Shameful! The cachopo was more like a veal escalope, and one of the dessert cakes had mold on it. The manager said it was butter (of a rather strange color). In short, I won't be back!
Was excited to have a good Paella before I fly back and this is not the place to be. Sorry. Rest of the ambience and food was great but is a modern restaurant and for traditional Spanish food. Just my two cents.
We went for a pre-arranged dinner with them for 30 people. The waitress was incredibly rude, bordering on obnoxious. The manager insulted us, and the food was scarce and poorly prepared. Don't order the puppy, and to top it all off, we found mold in the cheesecake, and they rudely told us it was butter. Not a place I would recommend at all.
Terrible. Yesterday, a group of us went for dinner with a reservation. It wasn't well organized; there weren't enough chairs, and we had to squeeze in. Then, when it came time to share dishes meant for four people, some plates meant for four were being shared by six or even seven people, with portions meant for four. When they brought our second course, those of us who had ordered cachopo were given only a piece of it—you can imagine the look on your face when you see half a cachopo! The menu included three drinks, but we only had two. We asked for wine, but they wouldn't even give us the bottle. They took forever to bring our drinks, a way of avoiding us consuming all three, but still charging us for them. The desserts had mold, and they rudely told us it wasn't mold, that it was from the mold and the butter. So, what do you mean that green stuff is rust from the mold?
I won't be back. Because we mentioned several times that we didn't have enough starters to share between the four of us at a table of ten, they called us a "troublemaker table" (you have to be careful when making these kinds of comments because you don't know who might be sitting next to you). The food was quite poor. The cachopo was dry and reheated. And the cake had some kind of mold on it.
A complete disaster. A dinner for 29 people. A set menu at 37 euros per person. The food was meager and bland. The croquettes, the scallops, the broken eggs, the cachopos... Everything was scarce and tasteless. And one of the desserts, on every table, had a strange moldy color, which the chef justified as the color of butter. But to top it all off, the service was rude and tried to justify the unjustifiable, skimping on food... Never again.
I'm giving it one star because I'm never going back to this place. It's completely run down. The cheese salad was disgusting, the croquettes were frozen, the place is like a freezer where all the air is blowing through the door, there's no heating, and worst of all, when people go outside to smoke, all the smoke blows right into you. And don't even get me started on the girl outside the bar, lying between two stools—a truly degraded sight.
