Die Fish and Chips waren zwar kein 5 Sterne Menü, aber definitiv nicht so schlecht, wie die Bewertungen sind. Der Kellner war zügig und freundlich.

I am not sure why the rates are so bad. Fries were nice and crispy, fish was very good and tender. Older people are serving you all dishes with smile on their faces they are kind and helpful (probably the owners?). Finger crossed for this place.

So wie man/frau sich es vorstellt, ein großer Platz, du bist nach den Besichtigungen hungrig und willst was trinken. Wenn schon britisch, dann mit F&C. Zweierlei Fisch zur Auswahl. Regular war mehr als ausreichend, ein gutes Bier frisch gezapft dazu. Zügige und freundliche Bedienung. Es war fein heute Nachmittag dort.

🥰🥰🥰 Oh ja 🥰🥰🥰 Das war ein sehr guter Abstecher auf Gibraltar. Der Mittagshunger brachte mich in dieses Lokal am Platz. Es war meine erste Wahl. Und ich muss schreiben ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Wasser war ein Gedicht und es hat mir wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt. Obwohl es nicht günstig war war Preis Leistung super. Oh ja hier würde ich sofort nochmal hin gehen. Danke an das Team ihr seit toll. LG aus Wien.💋

Really good fish and chips. Quite a large portion and exactly what you expect when you order fish and chips. Owner was super friendly and personable, chatting and joking around while we waited for our food- great service overall!

We wanted to eat some English food while we are in Gibraltar. So this was my first fish and chips and it was much tastier than I expected!

Sehr leckeres Fish und Chips, das beste was ich jemals gegessen habe. Die reguläre Portion ist ausreichend für 2 und das frisch gezapfte Bier ist erfrischend, immer wieder gerne werde ich dort essen gehen.

Bij een bezoek aan Gibraltar hoort ook Fish and Chips hadden wij bedacht. Op dit plein vol op keuze. Heerlijk op het terras gezeten met een cup of tea. Bediening was vriendelijk en de fish and chips met wat salt and vinegar was ondanks andere mindere reviews toch best wel lekker.

After spending a day climbing the “rock” this was our pit stop for some food and drinks. Overall it’s ok. Nice portions, cold beer but a bit a high price ( 2x fish and chips, 1 large beer, mineral water, 2 x expresso coffee- 35€). Yes, toilet is terrible- don’t use it

Ok 3 stars is not accurate. Food is good and seem fresh. Prices are a bit high but not compared to others on this rock. Facilities could be cleaner but once again it is similar as others around. Exchange rate for Euro is bad so use the Exchange counter to the left of this store or use credit card if it's working.

Obsługa szybka, sprawna i miła. Jedzenie ciepłe i tanie. Zamówione Fish and chips. O ile frytki były dobrze przygotowane tak co do ryby nie mam pewności. Nie czułem aby była odgrzewana w mikrofali ale był to raczej mrożony mintaj niż coś świeżo wyjętego z wody. Do wyboru 3 wielkości porcji. Moją średnią się najadłem.

I had lunch with my daughter on Sunday, the plaza was busy but not mobbed. The staff were friendly and cooked a battered sausage as an extra that is not on the menu. The beer was cold, the was very hot and tasty. Whay else should be expected from fish and chips. Good place to eat, we will go back.

Had a fish and chip lunch with soft drink. Fish well cooked with nice chips. Food was average and price on par with similar restaurants in Gibraltar. Good and friendly staff and service. Would score 3 1/2 but not a 4 so a 3. For a reasonable meal would sort of recommend.

Bestimmt nicht das beste Restaurant um Fish&Chips in Gibraltar zu essen. Ich habe das Essen nicht gut vertragen, außerdem waren mehrere Tische im Außenbereich sehr dreckig. Ich bin eigentlich relativ anspruchslos jedoch war es mir hier etwas zu unaufgeräumt. Das Füttern von Tauben trägt zur Verunreinigung der Tische und Stühle bei. Das Essen war lala.

Ich habe hier Fisch & Chips gegessen – geschmacklich war es okay, aber nichts Besonderes. Die Bedienung war alleine für die gesamte Terrasse zuständig, wirkte dadurch gestresst und überfordert. Mehrere Tauben liefen über die Tische, was sehr unhygienisch wirkte. Auch der Innenraum machte einen unordentlichen und wenig gepflegten Eindruck. Für mich kein Ort, den ich ein zweites Mal besuchen würde.

I mean, it's okay-ish for what it is. What specialty do you expect when having fish and chips? Staff (that almost look like they do not want to be there) just gets you food and that's pretty much it. They slam the plate in front of you and that's all. But! Expect some flying companions to entertain you during your meal.

Location is great. Right on the side is Casamates square. Staff was very polite and nice as well. Food is just ok. Nothing looked or tasted fresh and some of the food looked as it was canned food (mushy peas). The store cheesecake on the bottom floor of the refrigerator that it’s open often to grab drinks. Definitely room for improvement.

Erfahrener Kellner, gute Lage für einen Boxenstopp.. Aber recht kaltes Bier und fettige, frische, halb-gare Pommes runden das Programm ab. Fried-Fisch in Panade ohne Gewürz.... Kann man auch sein lassen....

Fish was tougher than a veteran who's done two tours in Afghan. The staff were rude after not understanding what we meant by chips with bread... They didn't seem to know what was on their own menu.

Our experience started well. They were nice. They said they were busy. They provided menu recommendations. After the meal was served they were upset. (Strangely), they would not allow us to have more tartar sauce. They were very annoyed asking what else we wanted when we went to go pay. I guess asking for more tartar sauce is enough to set them off.

My friend and I ordered scampi and chips, which came with a simple salad (tomato, lettuce). Nothing was seasoned, quite bland even after adding tartare sauce and ketchup. Average at best. Service was also a little on the slow side.

First of all, expect the old lady, other staff don't seem want to work, fish is just okay, swordfish steak had a smell that will punch you in the face, I had plenty of sword fish before and this is the worst one. cod had no flavor at all, you will need a lot of tartar sauce which they will charge you extra for asking more....(we got 4 free small packs for 4 large cod order and a swordfish steak) as the cable cart driver says "you will find better fish across the border"

Wir waren zu viert hier. Es gab Onion Burger, im Bausatz. Also alles musste man sich selbst drauf legen, fish und Chips. Grundsätzlich waren alle Pommes fettig, fast kalt und ohne Salz. Fish ungewürzt und fettig. Nuggets hart. Das Hähnchen ebenso fettig. Leider nicht zum wiederholen geeignet.

Efter en god dag på bjerget, ville min kæreste og jeg have noget lækkert engelsk fish and chips og en gang kylling tikka. Udendørsserveringen var mangelfuld. Området beskidt og olie/ eddike, som blev sat på bordet var direkte klamt. Min kæreste bestilte uden pommes grites, men istedet kom den uden salat. Det blev fikset med den mest skamfuld salat længe set. En skive tomat, lidt salat og en tør skive agurk (se billede) kyllingen var lige så tør som Gibraltars klipper. Min fisk var faktisk god. Pommes fridtes kolde og bløde og de havde glemt at give mig tartar sauce med. Næste gang vi så personalet, var da de kom med regningen.

Das Essen ist ok (mehr auch nicht). Allerdings vorsichtig bei der Bezahlung: bei der Kartenzahlung wurde einfach etwas mehr eingetippt als fällig war. Mir fiel es gleich danach auf und die 4 Pfund wurden in Bar zurück gegeben. Wie ich aber erst später lernte in in nicht mehr gültigen 1Pfund Münzen. Ich gehe davon aus, dass hier bewusst abgezockt wurde. Ein bisschen mehr abkassieren und wenn es auffällt mit ungültigen Münzen zurückzahlen.

The food was Not Good and for the Price it was really bad I‘ve Never seen a service this bad 3/7 got their Food After 15 minutes and then the Food of the next 3 of us came After 35 minutes and the last one got his Food After 40 minutes it was barely seasoned and the fries where disgusting the chicken tikka tasted Like Sucuk but nothing Like chicken the spicy chicken didn‘t have and spice at all and the Fish was absolutely disgusting and the Fish and Fries didn‘t Even have any Seasoning at the table and there was no vinnegar at all

Absolutely TERRIBLE. Took one bite of the fish (and chips) and spit it out. Disgusting 🤢 threw out the food immediately. Quickly made our way over to Little Rock Cafe where the staff was lovely, professional and the food was not only edible, it was Delicious! Don’t waste your money or risk getting sick at Rock English Fish & Chips!!!

Waren am 12.08.2025 dort mit 7 Personen essen. Die ersten 3 Essen kamen recht schnell. Nach dem die ersten 3 mit dem Abendessen fertig waren fragen fragten wir was los ist. Antwort in 2 Minuten kommt das Essen. Nach 10 Minuten war noch immer nichts da. Nach erneuten fragen dauerte es noch 5 Minuten, es wurden aber dann nur 3 Teller gebracht. Es wurde Essen komplett vergessen, was dann aber recht zügig nachgeliefert wurde. So lagen zwischen den ersten und dem letzten Essen fast 30 Minuten. Das Essen war ohne Gewürze und die Chips haben auch nur die Hälfte der Zubereitungszeit im Fett baden dürfen und waren alle noch recht weich und nicht durch. Das Essen und den Service kann ich gar nicht empfehlen.

Food barely warm no salad with the scampi and chips. Batter almost black and tasted burnt. When we called to complain staff member was rude and said salad would come next time we ordered. I don't think there'll be a next time. On plus side the delivery was very quick.

Absolute garbage: Ordered fish and chips and burger and chips on hungry monkey. It arrived 25 later than the latest time quoted. Food was completely water sodden and a pitiful portion for the price. Phoned the restaurant to see if it could be rectified and was just given abuse. Avoid this place at all costs. It went in the bin.

The server and person delivering the food were rude. The Fish and Chips were somewhat soggy, not very tasty and the tartar sauce was in packets. Mixed salad did not come with salad dressing. The chicken and mushroom pie had a very tough crust and very little chicken. It was difficult to cut into the pie. Was a sit down restaurant with fast food quality.

Es war das schlechteste Fish and Chips was wir je gegesen haben. Besteck und Gläser dreckig, dazu der ältere Kellner dreckige Finger/Klamoten (der jüngere das absolute gegenteil), lieber gleich aus der Dose getrunken. Panade, Fish, Pommes absolut ohne jeglich Geschmack, ein Stern ist eigentlich noch zuviel.

We ordered Halal meals, but the worker brought us the juice in Beer cups and we accidentally found that the Mayonnaise on the table is made with Vinagre de Vino which is basically wine!!
