A place to remember. First, let's talk about the service, which was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Please never lose that. Second, the food… this is real Mexican food. Everything was made with love and care. For spice lovers like me, this is a must-visit. In short, we'll definitely be back and 100% recommend it. Thank you for everything.
Sooo gooood
We went to Los Molcajetes and were delighted. The Mexican food is authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We tried several dishes, and they were all delicious, especially the tacos and the guacamole. The service was excellent: the staff was very friendly, attentive, and always smiling. You can tell they enjoy what they do and take care of their customers. A welcoming place with a great atmosphere and top-notch service. We'll definitely be back!
Very good authentic food
Everything was so delicious!! The best cochinita pibil I've ever had at any Mexican restaurant! Plus, it was totally homemade. We found it by chance, but it was a total find! The only thing we liked less were the nachos because the tortilla chips were a bit thick, but even so, it was super delicious, and you could tell it was homemade too.
Their Jamaica is delicious. The pay de elote was so delicious and warm. I shared the four tacos de bistec with my 6 year old. All of the food was amazing, and the owners made us feel super welcomed. -Carnachas come in 3 -Machaca con huevo to the right of the picture. -Tacos to the left of the picture.
It will always be our top choice in Gijón for Mexican food. Friendliness, speed, good produce, and a spacious and cozy space. The Molcajete burrito was our favorite; the green enchiladas, the enchiladas de la peque, and the tamales and ropa vieja are classics. Everything is exquisite! Hearty dishes and a wide menu to choose from. Different sauces and meats to suit your taste. We went with a baby, and they accommodated us so everyone could have ample space.
My favorite. I've been eating here for years, and for me, it's the best Mexican restaurant in Gijón. It's a neighborhood restaurant with home-style cooking, a very varied menu, generous portions, and delicious, high-quality dishes. The service is attentive and fast. I recommend the tacos al pastor and Doña Elacia's molcajete. They serve the hot sauce on the side. It's spicy and very tasty, and the best part is that the heat disappears quickly, allowing you to continue enjoying the rest of the dishes. Highly recommended!
We had a really good time here. The waiters were nice, we had fun with him an her, but most important the food was very good and delicious :) really good mexican food and Tequila
Great food and relaxed atmosphere
We booked for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived and our table was already set. Everyone loved the food. The dishes were homemade and delicious, and the portions were plenty because all four of us are big eaters, and it filled us up. The salsa was superb for those of us who enjoy spicy food. We ordered a half-pitcher of Margarita to drink, and it was superb, and two beers, which were also a great choice. The service was excellent, and the establishment was very well-maintained and clean. The price-quality ratio was excellent.
Great place
We ordered nachos with guacamole, a molcajete, and a corn cake. We would go back, but this time without ordering the nachos because they're very filling and seemed a bit pricey for what they are. Considering the menu options, we would swap them for something more interesting. The molcajete and the cake were very good.
This is a great local Mexican restaurant. It's a really friendly atmosphere, a nice setting and good place for families. The burritos are excellent and the specialties too. We always go back, it's definitely worth a visit.
Spacious restaurant with lovely decor and friendly service. Very generous portions. The molcajete is a standout; it's something you don't usually find at other Mexican restaurants, and it's incredibly flavorful and plentiful. The nachos were a bit too toasted for my liking. The margarita pitcher was reasonably priced. The desserts were delicious. The only thing that surprised me was that they serve the tortillas wrapped in paper napkins, and with the heat, the paper sticks to the tortillas. In other places, I've had tortillas wrapped in a cloth, presumably to avoid this.
Delicious, home-cooked food. The presentation isn't the most elaborate in the world, but the home-cooked food makes up for it. The portions are just right. However, in my opinion, desserts aren't the restaurant's strong suit; it's better to order from the savory section of the menu.
