When driving through Gilroy on Hwy 101 I go out of my way to stop at this donut shop. Very fresh and tasty. Prices are good value. Friendly, courteous service.

Recently went to this doughnut shop and was surprised at how yummy the donuts were. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend this shop. 5 star rating!!!

I have been a customer since 2007. Gilroy Doughnut House has always been the best, and recently they have even eclipsed themselves, somehow making their doughnuts better. That’s impressive—improving an already excellent product. I hope they keep making doughnuts for a hundred years. Thanks so much!

My family loves this palace, Jeffery is always a pleasure and talks to every guest about there day and is always at 100% the donut selection is in point, and it sells out fast - plus they have blueberry old fashioned and pumpkin spice donuts!

The donuts were what you’d expect from Asian-run donut joints: light, fluffy, the chocolate glaze and lemon jelly tasted like they came premade in a can. That said, they’re delicious! I’d come back just for the delightful proprietor (Jeffrey?) and the friendly locals, and the standard-issue donuts are a bonus. Skip the coffee (which was burnt).

The best donuts around! I love lemon filled donuts and GDH has the very best. Most bakeries barely fill it a tablespoon of filling, so it is way more dough than filling. GDH has close to 3 times the amount and it is the perfect ratio of dough to jelly. Their donuts are light and fluffy and so tasty. I would have taken a picture, but it is already gone. Next time.

The kids love the donuts and friendly staff. The only problem is they only take cash. If they start taking debit cards, then I will give them five stars.

The place is small and seems to be hangout for locals. We're on road trip and I had hankering for a donut. Glad I stumbled upon this place. They have good variety of donuts. They are not pretentious nor trying the latest fad like mochi donuts. They did have something I had not seen and find it BRILLIANT, filled bars. We got Bavarian cream filled maple and chocolate bars. So delicious. Donut was light. Glaze not thick but tasty. So good. Definitely a gem in city of Gilroy.

This place is a nostalgia thing; if you want to take your kids to an old donut shop and have them pick out their own, this is where you want to go. Just don't forget the cash.

The donuts are tasty, but they don't make enough to last past a few hours in the morning. If you're not there at the crack of dawn, you'll have to settle for anything that's left instead of your donut of choice.

Cash only is extremely inconvenient. We’re entering 2025 and I’m surprised they are still a cash only establishment.

I'm not going to buy donuts here no more. My first time coming to this place to buy donuts. For some reason there was lady today in the morning and I don't understand why but she was being rude to my mom and I.
