Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria Glendale Reviews
Drove up from San Diego. Looking for a good pizza joint with good pizza. BMPP did not disappoint. Loved the crunchy crust. The owner, Otto, was so hospitable. Will definitely be back the next time we find ourselves in Glendale!
A great underrated place for having a pizza. It didn’t seem that nice at the beginning. We were always passing by and once decided to try it. It turned out surprisingly good, very good. Right now, the “Chicken Garlic Pizza” is my favorite + I take a salad with feta and avocado, which is also nice. They also cut cookies like a pizza which is very unusual (tried the ones with blueberries and smores) - both good.
I had a nice lunch here with my 3 kids. They loved the food (pasta and pizza) and enjoyed watching PSG on the big screen. The pizza carry out special was really affordable for my big family. The staff was very friendly and the owner was willing to donate a giant pizza to our i9 youth league. Thank you for the offer! We will come back soon!
Just wow, One of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life, super friendly service and professional staff, very clean and modern environment. We have tried the pizza and the Philly cheesesteak and their breakfast items and their wings and their old top quality. I can't recommend this place enough and their staff are very dedicated and they go above and beyond every time. They make you feel so welcome.
I went to Big Mama’s for lunch after a long hike with some friends and this is one great pizza place. Ingredients were fresh, the dining area was clean and very modern looking and the staff was incredible. I recommend coming here to try not only the pizzas but also the salads if you are looking for something on the lighter side. In one of my pictures you can see the size of their largest pizza box….literally the biggest I have ever seen and its incredible.
I stopped by randomly with my son for a single slice of pizza and was wondering why a single slice was $9. It took about 10 mins and I was still wondering why a single slice was taking so long. Turns out, a single slice here is a giant slice of 4 slices of pizza! AMAZING. I usually don't eat pizza crust but the crust here tastes SOOOO good. Very fragrant and buttery! The pizza isn't flimsy or soggy at any time even when it's piping hot so all the toppings and cheese stay on the pizza! AND THAT CRUNCH OF THE BOTTOM. Ughhh sooo perfect. There are a lot of coupons on their menu and on the box itself so you can get a lot of deals at their stores. Super yummy!!!
They make the best pizza in the world 🌎 🍕 Customer service is great .
Amazingly clean, atmosphere was awesome, and the crew was super friendly. Gluten free pizza was excellent as well.
Good food, fairly swift service and very friendly, really love the giant pizza boxes. Close to the pop up drive in movie in Glendale and perfect for take out - this little pizza joint does the job.
They have challenges to have very large pizza. (8 participants-54" pizza-2 hours-$1000).
Amazing pizza, crust is excellent. Just wish there was one closer to our house. World's largest pizza is seriously crazy when you see the box in person, would be awesome for a party ( provided you have at least 10 friends minimum)

Amazing pizza and even more amazing desserts!! I ordered a big mama pizza that servers 30 people and half of a lemon blueberry cookie and they gave me the entire cookie instead. 10/10 will be there again.

Casual Italian resto, clean tables & restroom, staff are warm and friendly. Food portions are generous and food is decent, nothing extraordinary. There's not a long wait from the moment order is placed to serving so it's a good place for lunch break from work. Spaghetti with meatballs may be good for two. Vegetarian pizza is loaded and tastes good.
Was in the area so dropped in to grab to try one of their Philly Cheesesteak specials. Sandwich was a tad smaller that expected but was enough for lunch and good for the price. Service was quick. Plenty of seats inside and the seat up was modern, bright, and comfortable.
After an evening on the town we decided to take a local pizza joint for some eats. The old world charm near the entrance and the nearby outdoor dining area/beer garden drew us inside, and we ordered a medium Meat Lovers Pizza, Caesar Salad and a plate of Lemmon Pepper Butter Chicken Wings which were, by the way, seemingly made and ended up being delish! Looking up from our meal, I was once again impressed with the modern-yet-old-world look and feel of my surroundings. They also had a display of pizza boxes ranging from small to a building Holiday party. Everything made for an incredible experience. Not sure how the pickup deal went; but I thought the online menu was easy to read and very user friendly (we dined in ourselves).

Patricia the cashier took my order tonight and was pretty rude. She kept giving me and my boyfriend, as well as everyone in line a dirty look. It was almost as if she was annoyed that she had a line of people waiting to order but I mean that’s business. The food here is great and so is the atmosphere. I hate to rate the customer service 1 star but it is what it is. I hope someone sees this review and does something about it.
Only come here for the pizza & get any drinks that are not in a can. I went to tell the cashier I didn’t want a can anymore because it was dirty and had flies on it & he didn’t bother to tell anyone. Then bc of that, I see the lady working there rearranging the cans and doesn’t even check the top of them. These 3 cans in the photos were not even the worst ones.

Overpriced, average at best pizza. The service is below par. Be prepared to stand and wait for a while before anyone comes to take your order. The pizza is pretty lack luster and dry. My first time I got the cowboy pizza. Nothing like the pictures, but it was okay. My biggest gripe is the inconsistent "deal" handling's. They have a plethora of "deals" but aren't open about how the deals work from text, online, and in person deals. After my first visit I received a text offer for a free 10". No where does it state a minimum purchase amount, but as soon as I input the it into the websites check out it stated that the minimum purchase amount to fulfill the order was 26.98. The 10' is a $11/12pizza...so essentially you need to spend over $15 to get an $11 credit that doesn't even cover the full pizza. I spoke to the manager and he said he had no control over deals online, but had seen people get the free pizza to work and they were only charged a .99 cent service fee. He kindly provided a contact to speak to. The contact was less than helpful and seemed as though I was wasting his time. I would've been completely fine if the coupon was clear that you have to spend a minimum amount to get the free pizza but it wasn't .
This place turned into a sad but expensive place 2 sandwiches which hardly had cheese in it ( Philli CHEESE steak) a fries that looked like the employee was hungry and he/she ate most of it

We order the pizza with meat ball. But there no meatball. I tried to call the store and no one picked it up
Went in on a Sunday evening, there were no other customers. Ordered two pizzas, the cashier got my order wrong and only brought out one pizza. So while we sat and waited for the other one to come out that they forgot to make it comes out extremely burnt and thrown together when literally we ate the only customers in the store. How hard is it to make a pizza when you have no other orders? On top of that when I explained to the cashier the pizza was burnt beyond enjoyable he said they would have to charge me for their mistake. Unbelievable, with all the pizza places in Glendale don’t waste your time going here.
