Shiraz Glendale Reviews
I really like this place but Kobideh wasn’t taste great, fesenjoon taste really good, bamiyah was sour, but I will be back
The food is absolutely delicious and the restaurant Ambience is fantastic. Very romantic place but before a dinner date go there for lunch and try it out. The lunch specials are fantastic , including a rice dish with pistachios, orange peels, almonds and a taste that is out of this world. Soup or Salad? Try the lentil soup. It's to die for. Parking is convenient and at lunch there's no wait at all. This is my favorite Glendale spot
Oldies, they've been in Glendale location for such a long time. Their food is still great.
Absolutely delicious!!! I had a lamb dish on skewers, don't remember the name, but I'm considering driving back to Glendale from Mid-City LA for their food. Plus...the outdoor seating area is so lush and well shaded. Love this place! If I'd gotten there sooner I would've have dined there. Next time!
We had an amazing time at Shiraz . The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, perfect for both a casual meal or a special occasion. I highly recommend trying their chicken kebab, it’s a must! We’ll definitely be back to celebrate another event.
I was not sure to go there or not ! but the quality of the food was amazing very juicy kebab and good portion size. Was a bit busy.
Tonight 🌝 🌌 was my very first time dining 🍽️ 😋 at Shiraz! And it was for my co-worker’s retirement party 🥳 🎂 🎈🎊! It was a truly amazing 🤩, heartfelt 🥰 and fantastic event 💫😃! Other than the love ❤️, laughter 😂 and memories 🧠 that my co-workers shared of our beloved co-worker 🥰 who officially retired today, the dinner dishes of fish 🐟, veggies 🥗, rice 🍚, and dessert 🍰 were absolutely delicious 😋! The room was perfectly set up with round tables so we could have lively conversations 💬 with our co-workers and also enjoy the wonderful slideshow 🎞️ in honor 🌟 of our retiring co-worker 🙂! I have to admit that I don’t know what all of these dishes were called since I would have to ask my co-worker who organized this special event 🌟 🙂! But I would definitely ❤️ to come back for a meal 🥘 because the ambience was so nice ✨ and relaxing 😌! The waiters who served us were really courteous and friendly 🙂! And it also really helped that there is a huge parking lot 🚘 🅿️ in the back of the restaurant that is just for Shiraz customers 🙂! The best way to enter the parking lot is from Harvard Street, and it is located at the corner of Harvard Street and Glendale Blvd, right next to Palace Cleaners 👚 👕 👔 👖☺️!
One of the best Persian restaurants around. Great tasty foods, appetizers, salds, n desserts. Great service in a comfortable elegant atmosphere. We had the Soltani which is fillet of beef and loule kabob with rice. Rice with sour cherries and barbecue boneless chicken breast. Barbecue eggplants with carmelized onions n cucumber with tomatoes salad. The mango sorbet and mint chocolate desserts were delicious but not too sweet.
The best Persian food that I know of. Raffi's is almost as good, but I think the Beef Barg here is slightly better. The service can be iffy sometimes, just don't be in a hurry and you should be fine. The place looks really nice, both the (admittedly ostentatious) inside and the more relaxed patio area. It's not cheap, but no Persian place really is, and the quantity of food is good for what you pay.
The beef and chicken kabobs were excellent. The variety appetizers were good but lacked flare in presentation and taste . Neither nor our guest are fans of their sweet rice.qay too sweet.I would get plain rice. I prefer pilaf Lebanese / Armenian style. Armenian coffee good desserts lacking. Very comfortable AC on a hot early evening
Love the food and place… my go to for a Mediterranean meal 🥘… try it you’ll love it 😍
For prices food is okay, service is good servers are nice (can’t say that for all the staff) but servers were courteous. Portions are small compared to other Persian restaurants while price is the same. Chicken was burnt and hummus was watery and bad tasting.
I had a party there for 20 people and 4 kids, the kids table was set up separately. First of all we didn’t get all the appetizers that were included in the banquet menu, 2 main salad were missing and I just figured it out when came home and found a copy of the menu. I was very disappointed and it was very embarrassing, because table looked very empty and it was not enough food for 20 people for sure. Second, kids table didn’t have any food at all! Even though they charge for kids same price per person. So if you planning to have a party the make sure you double check everything! Food was good and I like our private room.
Let me be honest with you, unlike other reviews. Portion is good, tomatoes tasty and bread is not bad. That's all there is to this place. Menu was expensive. Kebabs were dry. In the rice there were pieces small tahdeeg(not the tasty ones) server was a bit rude and the food was not fresh. Koobideh and barg was awfully dry. Now if you never had kebabs before this might taste ok with you. But for a kebab fan this was just horrid. We decided to try this place because the prices on their google map looked cheap but to our surprise that was the price from 15 years ago according to the waiter. If you want to pay 30 bucks for a kebab and 9 bucks for a yogurt just go to the raffi place 5 min away. Food is also pricey but absolutely delicious. (They had nice decoration outside)
My husband and I met with the manager of the restaurant and made a contract to take 77 guests for lunch after my mother in law’s funeral. They asked for $960 deposit and the remainder of it to be paid on the day of service. They promised to keep refilling the empty appetizers and main course buffet dishes as needed but to our surprise they refused to do so. The buffet dishes were not full to begin with and I told the guys that were serving to bring full dishes and they kept saying ok but they never came back with a new full tray of food and instead they brought a couple of small bowls of stew and dumped it in the middle of big empty dish in front of our guests. Many of our guests went without food and it was an embarrassment for our family especially after a funeral. Then they charged for more people than the guests we had. We complained to the manager( Talin) and she said the owner of the restaurant (Mr. Mahmoud) is cheap and that’s what he tells to the server (not to refill) and said she herself has issues with him over this kind of service . We demanded to talk to him and he didn’t want to see us!. At the end she told us we have to pay for 88 guests but we insisted we only had 77 . We argued but had to pay it in order to get out of the place. I tried calling the owner many times but he only talked to me one time and refused to resolve this with us. I would not return to this restaurant ever again and encourage every one to go to another restaurant for your parties because these people are liars and don’t stick to their promises. They over charged us and didn’t provide enough food. We are very disappointed.
99% of the time I never write reviews even if the food is bad. But when our Server Frank asked about our food, we told him the Koobideh Was Dry and it tasted like Kofteh/Cutlet. He then started laughing proceeded to made fun of me. So is my complaint not a complaint? We all had 4 koobidehs and all agreed it was dry. we have been here before and things have totally changed, they have now lost a former customer.
