Wow, this place is amazing! Great service and super fresh sushi. Attention to detail and an extensive menu. One of the best sushi meals I've had period. Plenty to be proud of Sawa.

This was my first time dining at Sawa, it came highly recommended by my friend and I was not disappointed. They have quite a few different lighting features and special effects that enhance the overall experience. Our server, Nicki, was prompt and attended to our needs without being intrusive! I tried the miso soup, coconut shrimp roll and shrimp lo mein, all were outstanding! The shrimp lo mein had nice depth to the flavor and it was especially delightful. All 6 people in our party were raving about their food, everyone was collectively impressed with the mini tree garnish accompanying most of the sushi rolls; you can tell they put a lot of care into the details! I would highly recommend checking out Sawa if you're in Glenmont!

My friends live in the Hudson Valley area in NY, and we were celebrating their anniversary. The staff were kind and efficient. They even adjusted the music as different customers arrived. The decor is beautiful, comfortable, whimsical, and surprisingly quiet. Everything we ordered was fresh, unique, and delicious! I ordered the steamed seafood platter with steamed veggies. It was colorful, full of seafood, and fresh with just the right textures for the steamed veggies. I had the largest seaweed salad ever and very shareable. My friends ordered sushi rolls, which were fresh, preparedby the chef quickly, and a delight for the eyes! The garnish was edible flowers! My friend said it's the best sushi she has had on the East Coast! Everyone left satisfied. We can't wait to return!

Great food! Highly recommend the delicious pineapple fried rice— served in a real half of a pineapple! Servers were attentive and food came out at a reasonable time. Loved the ambiance which included Japanese music, giant murals of fish (koi?) and string of tiny dangling lights that lent an underwater feel to to the place.

Good prices and nice decor. Cute date place and also family friendly. Restroom had changing table making it a great lunch option with a baby. The box lunch specials are worth it, great flavors and variety.

Sushi was great! The place had a good atmosphere and good service. The presentation of the food was amazing! Thick stone plates and little ornamental flowers made it very memorable. I'd definitely go back.

Fantastic opening meal. No stumbles. Food was delicious!! Large main dish portions. Tiger, Sawa, rainbow, pepper tuna rolls, yaki yodon noodles and general Tsoa chicken. Plating was fun. Prices are slightly above average, but you're praying for an experience too. Very fresh. Staff was prompt, kind, and good with the kids. Bathrooms were very clean, unique colors. Automatic soap dispensers are ideal, but not required. We will be back.

This place is great! I went last night and already have plans to go back next weekend with some friends lol. The sushi is amazing and the sesame chicken was on point (very sweet, so careful if that's not your thing). I'm looking forward to trying more from this place! Oh, and get the pear martini.

First time here and really enjoyed the Sushi/Sashimi Lover combo. Truly fresh and naturally tasty. Comes with a miso soup and salad. Servers were friendly and the place was very clean. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Will definitely be back!

No, the crappy food that gave me food poisoning was there. The terrible service was there. SAWA is terrible. Go to Akira right around the corner
