Mikado Glens Falls Reviews
Had hibachi for dinner . Amazing service by all staff in the restaurant. We didn’t have to ask or wait for anything. The food was great I was raving about the fried rice and chicken the whole way home. Would highly recommend to everyone.
Obviously the place is beautiful. Everything is so fresh. The sushi chefs are masters at what they do. Beautiful dishes. Phenomenal bartender. Been there so many times and it's always delectable for all senses
Had an absolute phenomenal hibachi dinner tonight. Peyton was our server and was super attentive and kind. Our hibachi chef Anderson was so funny and kept us laughing and cooked amazing food. My husband said it’s the best fried rice he’s ever had. I had ribeye and scallops with fried rice and my husband had filet with chicken. Everything was 10/10, all of these amazing reviews really lived up to the hype. Highly recommend! We live in Massachusetts but we’ll be here again the next time we come to NY
This is our home away from home. The staff is friendly, service is quick, and the atmosphere feels like a mix of regulars and tourists enjoying their great selection of sushi, rolls, Hibachi items, and Korean and Japanese selections. We always have the sushi, but the Ramen is so good. We have never had a bad meal.
Stopped in on a Saturday evening without reservations. We were fortunate and able to be seated immediately. We had the Hibachi Salmon and the Sushi Dinner. The hibachi salmon was fantastic, the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the fried rice had great flavor. The sushi was fresh and tasted wonderful. Will return again next time we're in the area.
Amazing food, drinks, service, & atmosphere! This is one of our go-to spots for all occasions. Date night, birthdays, family dinners, you name it & this place is perfect for the occasion! We have ate at the hibachi table, sat at the sushi bar, gotten it to go and sat at one of the regular guest tables. This place never disappoints!
Lunch with colleagues today. Great food & atmosphere. The box was the perfect way to go for lunch, which came with soup. The portions were generous and everything I expected. The service wasn't as attentive and fast paced as it should have been for lunch. With that said, we will be back
This was a bit of a surprise... but a nice one. Thebkids were happy that they included chopstick helpers ;) the food was beautiful and delicious. There were plenty of vegetarian options that pleased me and both standard and unique options overall! We got to sit in a semi private booth/room area that twas nice, as long as you didn't want hibachi. It was very busy on a Friday night...wish they took reservations. They would only take our name and so then we went next door to have a beer and then came back when called about 30min later.
All the staff qere very nice. Some of thw food wasnt as expected. But it was all delicious! I had one order of fried calamari, 1 order of fried ragoons, and lastly a bowl of ramen. The calamari was great, the fried ragoons were not what i expected and they were adveetised to be much different. The ramen was deffinetly the best.
The food portion here is huge! The pho was delightful. But the chicken katsu was very dry. The spicy tuna wasn't spicy at all. Actually it had no flavor. It was fresh though.
I was here for lunch with friends. The staff was friendly & the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant but I would say that the food was okay at best. Neither my tonkatsu ramen or the items in my friends bento boxes stood out as excellent. It was just okay. I would go here again, it's just good to have your expectations at the proper level.
Seems to be very hit or miss. The sushi is almost always very good. I got the fillet mignon hibachi which should be super tender but this was one of the chewiest steaks I’ve ever had. Couldn’t chew a single bite and the veggies weren’t cooked all the way. Very disappointed especially for how much they charge and a 3% pickup fee? Not sure if I’ll order from here again. Waste of money.
Went for lunch today. The place was clean and comfortable. We started with a Lychee Sake that was excellent. Appetizer was Karage(Japanese Fried Chicken thigh pieces). They were tasty, but not crispy. Looked to be a light coating of corn starch only which did not adhere to the chicken. Entree was a Sushi box of Shrimp, Salmon and Crab. It was very good. Last Entree was Pork Katsu which was crispy, but dry and tough. I would not recommend the Katsu, or the Karage. Sushi was good.Service was prompt and efficient. They also have Hibachi available which we did not try.
We arrived on a Friday night in December. There was plenty of availability. We chose to sit at the bar. We were starving after a long drive into town. Not sure about sushi or hibachi as we didn't order off that menu, but we ordered appetizers and dinners from the regular menu and everything was greasy and low quality. Left feeling disgusting. Service was just okay. Seems to be regulars that take priority.
