Food was excellent, very flavorful. I had the Mar y Tierra and it was delicious. Very nice size portions,. Friendly staff and the service was great. We got our food within 10 min after ordering. Background music would be nice but other than that great experience. We will definitely go back.
I really love this Mexican place. It's super authentic inside, and the food is too. The vibe is so fun and welcoming. Plus, the menu is huge, so you have tons of options. I've never had a bad meal there.
I’m a OTR Truck Driver from Georgia and decided to stop here for my birthday.. They accommodated my birthday cake by putting it in a cooler while we ate. The food and service were GOOD! A large margarita is enough for an occasional drinker.
The steak tacos were so good. Chips and salsa were delicious. They were all so nice and my food was ready very quickly. Will be back for sure!
My fiancé and I moved in the area early March 2025, and everyone we met kept telling us we had to try this place. Six months later, we finally did—and now we regret not coming sooner! The service was fast, friendly, and refreshingly straightforward. The food? Absolutely incredible. I ordered the chori pollo and it was so good I didn’t leave a single bite. My fiancé had the chicken fajita taco bowl and cleaned his plate, too. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Stopped in with the family what an awesome amazing place very good food amazing servers ours was Alberto he was great and very attentive to us and other ppl eating got here around 530 was sat immediately thank you great place will definitely be back
Excellent! Food, Service, Atmosphere all super good! The server was very nice, polite, helpful, quick with a smile. I ate soooo much! We had the Molcajete dish- So Good! Margarita for picture, we ate everything else!
Amazing food and always great service.
Great place for dinner! The service was exceptional and the food was great for someone who doesn’t usually like Mexican food. My kids wanted to come so I’m glad we went! The portions were large and they start with salsa and chips for you! Who doesn’t like that.
From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave it is a great experience. Always super friendly and helpful. And the food is top tier. And I’ve never had to wait long to receive it. All around great place to eat!
This is a great place for family and dates. The food is as authentic as it gets and for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly as well as swift. The corn tortillas chips were perfectly salted and the steak fajitas were perfectly flavored.
Food and drinks were excellent even though it was quite crowded. We were seated and the food arrived promptly. My only complaint is that we asked for water twice and never received any. You were a party of six.
Always good! The service is excellent and the food came out very quickly! Never had a bad experience and have been there several times with consistently good food and service. Reasonably priced as well!!
We was in town and wanted something outside the norm. I will tell you this place does not disappoint. We was Sat quickly and had our appetizer with in minutes. We waited a few minutes to order and out food was out just as quickly. Food was very authentic and was of very good quality and was nice and warm. Best Mexican food I have had for the price. I highly recommend giving them a try.
Love their Fajitas Jalisco for two- great value and plenty of food for the two of us.6/20- Didn't disappoint again. So good. Very good fast!
Food is excellent, service and staff even more
We've been here numerous times and love it. I drive in from Janesville and other family members drive in from Woodstock. The staff is always friendly and polite. The food is hot and delicious and comes out of the kitchen very quickly. Definitely recommend to anybody craving a great meal.
Just The Best. Food- delicious, no matter what you order. Margaritas- enormous. Service - amazing. And I Always go home with at least another meals worth of leftovers. And it's a locally owned business that supports our community.
My wife and I ate here for the first time on 10/22/2023 and it was very nice. First off the establishment was CLEAN!! We were both super impressed by how well everything was kept, the restrooms were the cleanest we were ever in as was the booth and window sills. The food was very good and reasonably priced in my opinion. The staff was prompt and friendly and made sure we had what we wanted or needed. We will be going back for sure!
Absolutely amazing food. We ordered takeout, however the atmosphere seemed lovely when we went to pick it up. Everything was cooked to perfection!
We went during lunch and the seating was super quick and the server was very prompt and polite and the food was out quickly with a very good amount of portions! Always a staple when we’re in town to visit!
Best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. I love the vibrant atmosphere super friendly people and amazing food!
Top notch from the minute we walked in. Place was packed on a Friday night at 6pm and was seated within a minute. Chips and salsa were great and once we ordered our dinners arrived within 5 mins. I had a Steak, Shrimp and Chicken Chimichanga which was the best i ever had, no joke! Steak was tender and flavorful and the shrimp was seasoned and grilled and added to the mix for a wonderful taste and the chicken was just right. Would go back in a heartbeat when we are back in town!! Service was great too:)
Wasn’t looking for the best Mexican restaurant around but found it and it was delicious. Wife had combo plate and I had the combination fajitas,I brought over half home after stuffing 3 tortillas. The margaritas were delicious and it’s a very festive atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back again it will definitely be worth the trip
The price was great! The food and the service unmatchable!!!
Hands down the best place around for miles. Exemplary service every single time we trek over from the UK to Lake Geneva and Los Tres Hermanos is a must! Quesadilla Mazatlan superb.
Loved the food the staff was very nice really recommend it here!!!
Pleasant surprise for us weary travelers. We were moments away from closing time and we seated and served quickly. Plenty of traditional Mexican plate options, margaritas and mixed drinks. and we had food to go.
The food , service, and atmosphere was spot on! I will definitely be back 🎉
Ate at Los Tres Hermanos for the first time and was quite impressed. I first ordered their guacamole which was quite delicious but overpriced for the amount received. I asked if they had a spicy salsa and my server brought out two, a red salsa and a bright green salsa. The green salsa was outstanding! So good I ordered a second bowl. I ordered the chimichanga which had steak, chicken and shrimp. It was also very delicious. My server was very attentive and quick to provide refills of chips and soda. The restaurant was nicely decorated and they were quite busy for a Thursday night. I highly recommend Los Tres Hermanos.
Was craving some fine Mexican and was pleasantly pleased with the enchiladas rancheros, I ordered with extra onions and it was the best meal I’ve ever eaten.
This is everything I'm looking for in a traditional Mexican restaurant. They have a robust menu full of traditional Mexican items, they offer delicious Margaritas, and it is definitely a good cost value to order by the pitcher.
Authentic music Fast, courteous, attentive service! Wonderful atmosphere with the colorful painted, sculpture booths and furniture. The food is amazing! Best Taco al pastor ever! My new favorite place!
It was my first time here. Great place! The atmosphere is really colorful. At times, you might feel like you're living inside a Mexican rainbow. The service was good. The food was great! Well seasoned and full of flavor. So much better than some other places that "claim" to be Mexican. The chips weren't the best, but the salsa and guacamole were good. It's not a cheap place to have drinks if you're a drinker. Overall, come here for the good food and great atmosphere. I recommend this place.
My husband and I had dinner here and it was FANTASTIC. I don’t know where to start on describing how great our meal was. Everything was delicious, the drinks were amazing. The service was wonderful! Everything was perfect. This restaurant was also super busy and packed (a sign of a good restaurant) and we still were able to be served at a good pace!
Always greeted with a great big smile always attended to very rapidly orders are always proper. The food is always delicious not one in bed employee in the whole place. I love the decor by the way
Los Tres Hermanos is my absolute favorite! They are always friendly, extremely fast and the food is top tier. So delicious! I always recommend this restaurant to anyone I can.
Diego is our guy and he goes above and beyond to take excellent care of us. His personality is fantastic. The food is a 10. Flavorful and authentic. If you want fantastic Mexican food and great service , Los Tres Hermanos and Diego is the way to go.
Heading there today for lunch. I live in Lake Geneva and make the short drive to the best Mexican restaurant in the area!!!...simply the best food and service!!!...I am in a wheelchair and can get in and out with no problem. Always treated extremely well at Los Tres Hermanos!!!!
Dine here often as the food is consistent and good. Fried ice cream for dessert was really good. I ordered a beef quesadilla and got a chicken quesadilla but it was huge. Not your normal looking quesadilla, more like a huge taco; but good. Chicken burrito and cheese dip. Large portions and good food always.
Excellent margaritas , ceviche, and molcajente. Husband had fajitas that we're fantastic as well. We will be back!! 5yrs later: still frequent this place. Order of likes still consistent 😁 best part is margaritas , next fajitas and ceviche and everything else. Queso is really good too. I do add their hottest hot sauce to all my food. But I like it hot. Flavors otherwise are spot on 👍
Was looking for a place for dinner as we have never been to Elkhorn. This place popped up with 4.6 stars so we gave it a try. I would definitely come back here. The food was excellent. My husband and I shared the chicken fajitas for 2 and had leftovers to take home. Chips and salsa were also great. Food came out pretty quick. Loved the decor too. I wish we lived closer so we could come back more often!
I review lots of Mexican restaurants all over the midwest. This is high quality authentic Mexican (not just Tex-Mex, although you can get basic tacos and burritos). Service is faster than fast-food places (seriously, even when dining area is full!). They have a wide variety from standard favorites to fancier exotic dishes. I recommend the Molcajete (say "mowl-cah-HAY-tay"), which is a stew with beef, chicken, sausage, and shrimp. The salsa verde (green sauce) option has cactus (don't worry, it's fairly neutral tasting) and a mild green chili pepper, with bell peppers, onions, and an avocado half, all in a beef gravy, served boiling hot in a cast iron cauldron with tortillas, rice, and beans on the side. (Whew!, but fantastico!) See pictures. My wife LOVED the carne asada (marinated beef) tacos.
Came in on a Sunday night & the place was hopping!! Got seated pretty quickly. Drinks & food came out in a very timely manner & they were delish!! Strawberry margaritas & mescal margaritas were fantastic. A medium was definitely more than enough! Lol The food was amazing!! Came quickly to the table too! Chicken chimi & combination enchiladas both had great flavor! We will definitely be back!!
Great food and great service! Loved the burrito jalisco (it is a little spicy if you can't handle spicy foods).
Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant so far. Although their dishes are the typical Mexican fare, their flavors are nothing that I've ever had yet. Starting out with the shrimp ceviche really got things going (even though it's not really an appetizer). We shared everything in our table, and everything was delicious. Hole-in-the-wall feeling also makes this place feel such a hidden gem.
Fastest I’ve ever been seated and gotten food!! The staff here work incredibly hard to turn tables. It was a packed house when we were there! Food was awesome! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend driving away from the tourist area of Lake Geneva to check out this place!
Very friendly staff and most of the time they put a very generous amount of meat in their tacos/burritos. The price is a little high, but its definitely one of the better places to eat around the area.
My husband and I went here at 5 pm on a Saturday night and were seated, served, ate, paid and left in 40 min. The chips and salsa were great and our food was outstanding. We ordered the larger quesadilla with grilled chicken and the steak nachos. Honestly, this was one of the best Mexican restaurants we've been to and we cannot wait to go back.
Mexican food holy grail!!! I’m im town from Chicago and decided to have lunch here. Let me tell you this is my far the best food I think I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant! The flavor was perfect. I ordered a carne asada and my husband order a quesadillas Mazatlán!! Omg god !! Delicious delicious!! And not to mention the service was great was seated right way , my drinks were at my table with in seconds it felt like . Our food came use properly!! And fair prices!! Over all I’m impressed with the food the service and cleanliness of the place!! Thank you Los tres Hermanos! Will definitely be back !!
Well, I can't say enough about this place. Fantastic Mexican food. Fresh, hot, spicy, wonderful! The place was packed with people, and I didn't think there was an open table. They had one in the back. With the place being packed with people I thought service would be slow! Boy was I wrong. We were waited on like no one else was in the restaurant. We got chips and salsa right away. Our order was taken right away. Our food was delivered quickly and with care. The food was wonderful. The waiter was terrific. I can't say enough about this place. Even when they're pushed to the limit, they delivered! Nice job!
WOW! The hospitality was has expected from a Mexican restaurant; every staff member is friendly and service is great. Food was delicious, flavors were spot-on. I kept pausing between each bite to appreciate everything. It's a must if you come to Elkhorn, Wisconsin and love real Mexican food.
Wow! I have been to many Mexican restaurants before, but this is one of the best. They have very large servings for a great price. And the service was phenomenal. Family was here today, after our weekend getaway at Lake Geneva. Was so happy we came here before ending out short trip. Definitely recommend it. The fajitas Jalisco were delicious and so much was leftover. We all loved everything we ordered. Plus prices didn't leave us regretting coming here.
Fantastic food and service here. Chips and salsa were set out immediately upon being seated. Salsa was on the spicy side. We ordered the special burrito of the day, the chipotle burrito; filled with steak, chorizo, onions and jalapenos. It was spicy and delicious. We also had the Juaritos Enchiladas which were great.
There is handicap street parking, but a step up into the restaurant. I was able to wheelie my son's wheelchair up it while my friend held the door. Otherwise, dining is accessible inside and the servers and staff are very accommodating. I found service here to be fantastic. Super fast, super efficient, and friendly. They really work as a team to quickly clear and serve tables while still giving proper attention and serving food quickly after ordering. Food was delicious. Plenty of chips and salsa. I ordered the ceviche and a el pastor taco a la Carte to split with my son. Taco came in a flour tortilla and was a good size for the $2.50 price. Average pricing you'd expect from a Mexican style restaurant. The decor is fun and colorful. Very clean, too. My friend ordered a medium mrgarita and said it was good. They do put sugar on the rim instead of salt. Margarita sizes extremely generous. Will be back!
Stopped in on Tuesday evening for dinner they were pretty busy. We were sat right away and chips and salsa were bright immediately, followed by our drinks. Salsa is amazing. They have a huge menu so it took a bit to decide what we were having. We started with the cheese dip, it was delicious. I had the Fajitas Jalisco they had steak, shrimp and chicken, lots of veggies. They did not come out sizzling hot, but they were still warm. They came with rice and beans, both were excellent. My friend had the Elian Special with green sauce. It came out on 3 plates! It comes with one flauta, one enchilada, one burrito, one tamale, one taco & one Chile relleno. The tamale was good, the flauta and burrito were pretty boring, but good. The taco was delicious and the Chile relleno was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was clean, cute and much bigger inside than you think. Our server did not have much of a personality, but he was mostly efficient! We look forward to trying it again soon!
We came here with friends and the atmosphere was very nice. I loved looking at all the intricate art work on the chairs and tables and walls. My husband and I both ordered veggie fajitas and they were excellent. We asked for no cheese or sour cream and our food came like how we asked. The waiters checked on us a few times and made sure the food was how we ordered and we didn’t need anything else. Would come here again and recommend it!!
The tamales were fantastic, homemade. I ate at the restaurant and ordered more tamales.to take home so the rest of my family can enjoy. First time eating here. Loved the plant and the folks were VERY nice.
We went here on a Saturday afternoon for a party of 8 people. Hosts were great and the vibe was amazing. We had no wait, were seated quickly, and the staff were enthusiastic and energetic. They made you feel welcomed and were able to seat us, take orders, and got out soon extremely quickly. Everything was fresh and delicious. The margarita pitchers were amazing as well. Would highly recommend getting 1 pitcher at minimum for 3-4 adults. Would highly recommend!
My husband and I moved to the area a couple months ago and have been looking for a really good Mexican restaurant. After trying few places and not being happy this place was recommended by several people and the food lived up to our expectations. We will be coming back often!
I go here at least once or twice a month, my mother goes here almost every week. We LOVE it! By far the best Mexican food in the area, and the staff is amazing! I've tried many different dishes here and nothing has ever disappointed. I love you LTH!
Great atmosphere, delicious food and amazing service. Diego is such an amazing waiter, his service was on point and very welcoming definitely recommend coming to this locating. My partner and I are not from the area and found this spot last minute and it did not disappoint. Thank you for your recommendations Diego. The mango margarita was delicious and also the red salsa mixed with the green, definitely chefs kiss 🤌🏼 will be visiting this location again on our next trip.
Los Tres Hermanos: where the chips are bottomless, the cheese is melty, and the vibe is somewhere between “authentic Mexican joint” and “Midwestern fever dream featuring a mariachi soundtrack and unlimited Horcata.” Let’s start with the good: The food? Solid. Not “call your abuela and cancel dinner” good, but solid. The enchiladas were tasty, the tacos were flavorful, and the rice didn’t taste like it came from a box labeled “bland side dish #4,” which is a win in my book. Plus, everything came out hot, fresh, and faster than a Midwest thunderstorm. The service was friendly, though a little… scattered. Think: your charming but slightly distracted cousin who promises to bring you extra salsa and then disappears into the ether. But hey, they meant well, and they smiled a lot—so who can stay mad? The atmosphere? It’s giving “small town fiesta meets Chili’s second cousin.” Bright colors, wall décor that’s trying really hard, and a soundtrack that makes you want to sip a margarita even if it’s noon on a Tuesday (no judgment). All in all, Los Tres Hermanos is a perfectly good place to scratch that Mexican food itch when you’re in Elkhorn. Just don’t expect to be spiritually transformed by the guac. It’s good. Not great. But definitely worth coming back for when you need tacos and a little personality with your beans and rice. Four enthusiastic, salsa-stained stars. 🌮🌮🌮🌮
Went for a birthday dinner recently and the food and experience was wonderful no complaints! The prices were great and the food was delicious. The margarita was huge and refreshing!!
My experience this time was good. I had the taco salad and turns out it was somewhat mushy. I was expecting more lettuce and greens in there but the flavor was good. Atmosphere was also good a little loud at times if you want to have conversations it can get loud with other people talking. Great service and good food. I will be going again.
Service us quick and attentive. They serve good chips and good salsa when you are seated. I ordered a side of their guacamole Cesare (spelling). It is delicious, but I felt overpriced the amount they served. We had enchiladas, beef burrito and chili relldno. All were very good. I really like their refried beans.
After some thought, we all agreed that we really liked the rice. However, the general feeling about the other dishes was not as positive; none of us liked the spice used on the chicken. Also, we felt that the waiter was a bit curt. None of us plan to return.
The service is mediocre, they very much want to sit you, serve you, and get you out. Food is so-so.
The plate that hardshell tacos were served on was very wet, not sure with what but the bottom side of them both were mush. Great rice and beans though. Waiter seemed very rushed, talked way to fast and tried to finish saying what our orders were without really listening. Though he did get them all correct. "Shredded" chicken was chunky, not shredded at all, and tough, hard to eat, flavor was ok. Peach margarita gets 5 stars. I'd give them another try but was just traveling through.
Looking for a new local Mexican restaurant since we moved here from Milwaukee and was not happy. I looked at the reviews before I came and had high hopes but was quickly disappointed by the food and service. The waitress barely spoke English, had no eye contact, not happy, and was very hard to hear for the first part. When I ordered my food, it wasn't correct bc I recieved the tostada instead of a chalupa. She then told me it's the same thing, which is complete wrong and just left. The food was bland and probably will never come back. The chips were so hard and stale it actually made my molars ache!
Food was not great - certainly not fresh. Waiter did not even listen to my preferences and left immediately after taking my order. Much better options elsewhere.
The food was excellent. The service was TERRIBLE. Maybe getting it to carry out is the best option as the steak tacos were some of th best I've had!
The interior design is amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food however was subpar. We wanted authentic and this wasn't it. Taco served with a boxed hard shell. Beans and rice were ok. Portions for the price were small.
Very rude horrible customer service experience. Canceled my order mid order. DONT GO HERE
I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. The food might have been decent, but it was completely overshadowed by the rude and condescending service. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed annoyed by our presence. Questions about the menu were met with eye-rolls and patronizing answers, as if we were a nuisance for wanting to understand what we were ordering. It felt less like dining out and more like being talked down to in someone’s home where we weren’t welcome. There’s a big difference between being confident and being smug—unfortunately, this place hasn’t figured that out. Service is a huge part of the dining experience, and no matter how good the food is, it doesn’t make up for being treated like an inconvenience. Won’t be back, and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone. There are too many other restaurants where you can get great food and feel respected
