Really enjoyed food good service but why would you have to go to reception for the key to the disable toilet. Absolutely terrible.

Very happy with our meals. It was nice for my partner to have cheese and biscuits for a dessert as he is diabetic. Not all restaurants offer it.

great elevated view of beach. service and food good. Not as crowded as the food outlets at street level. Sheltered outdoor seating if weather warm enough!

Great family restaurant with a stunning view over the beach. Very nice and friendly staff. Delicious food. Everything you need for a great meal out with family and friends. Big carpark at the hotel. Dog friendly for the ones who want to be served on the terrace.

Just wanted to say how impressed my partner and I were of the food here. Excellent quality, very well presented, good quantity also. Reasonably price too. We were on a date night and it didn't disappoint as neither of us had eaten here before. If I had to be critical..., I'd say the food is a little above the venue if anything, as I felt it to be closer to fine dining standard and the booth seating and brightly light room didn't quite provide the atmosphere to match. Also it was a rather loud atmosphere when we entered, but I can excuse this as there was an xmas party going on at the hotel premises. It is the season so no big deal, and it soon quieten down as guests moved across. Also no drinks menu was provided upon being seated but again, this was hardly a deal breaker. Looking forward to going back soon, can't recommend it enough.

First visit and will definitely return, food and service is first class, beautiful views overlooking the beach and sea, my son had the hot seafood platter he said it was wonderful, I had a Waldorf salad with added chargrilled chicken on the top, lots of walnuts and grapes I also had a passion fruit mock tail with a shot of lemonade I loved it, they have a very wide menu to suit everyone including jacket potato and sandwiches

Took my mum for afternoon tea for mothers day. Food was lovely. Perfect portions, lovely selection and so dainty. It was a really busy day (as you can imagine) but all the staff were so lovely and friendly. Took a little while to get served drinks, but was to be expected. The room was lovely and we had nice seats and were not rushed to leave. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Haven't been here for a long while, met some friends for a pre Christmas lunch and was impressed with the improvements made. Prices for the light lunch items were very good and the food was presented well and very tasty. Service was excellent even though they were busy, will definitely go back again.

Recommended to go for daughters 30 birthday. Cocktail tower was on a menu, however when we asked about pricing it had gone up from previous viewing on line.spoke to the manager and he was helpful. A pleasant time and waiting staff were excellent, a special shout out for Jarad that attended our needs.Thank you for a lovely celebration.

We had dinner at the restaurant last night. The food was excellent, well done to the Chef. The Maître De and the 2 other waiters who looked after us were extremely attentive, professional and well mannered, the kind of service you get in a high end establishment. We highly recommend the restaurant, and we'll be back.

The vegan burguer was delicious! Unfortenatelly the non-alcoholic pinacolada was not what I expected as I could not taste coconut at all. But the place is beautiful, the service is 5* and I will be here again for sure! ☺️

Walked in mid week just before lunch and got a table without fuss, but it did begin to fill as local workers came in for their lunch breaks. In the warmer months or days, the outside seating area is a lovely place to eat overlooking the Gorleston promenade depending on the tables you choose but wherever you sit, it's very contemporary and pleasant. We chose to sit inside on this occasion in the bar area which is as light as being outside. Staff were great on my visit and I ordered fish finger sandwiches. I thought it was going to be a small snack but arrived as a full blown meal. That suited me fine and it was delicious.

The place is very pleasant to sit and eat, nice atmosphere and surroundings.unfortunatly the food was very average. I had fish (cod) and chips which I didn't enjoy, fish i presume had been frozen , was wet and the batter a bit soggy. Would not recommend this dish although they seem to sell a lot of it, I wouldn't have it again, although I might try the venue again as it's the only decent place around there.

A lovely hotel with the eating area at the back so you have views of the sea, beyond the bar and seating area is an outside covered terrace so even in bad weather you can still sit outside and enjoy the view. Parking is free to visiting guests but you must register your car details inside at the bar area, if you dont their will be a penalty to pay.

Nice lunch in the busy restaurant with good views out to sea. Fish & chips especially tasty.

Had quick drinks and cake 🎂 staff very helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit if only for view from conservatory

The belly pork roast was fantastic, unfortunately my wife's beef was over cooked. The server didn't listen to our order properly, the banoffee cake didn't have much flavour and the dried banana chips tasted of roasted garlic.

Annoyingly half the menu was unavailable, and we weren't told until we tried to order. No mention when we arrived, or when we ordered drinks. The food that was available was okay? Not great but not bad - more pub grub than restaurant.

C
Chris Evans

Overall good visit. Good food and service however was delivered a can of beer (unopened) and a glass. Again, good people and food - a little work on service. Thank you.

Chicken and bacon in our rolls looked ill and the server agreed. The other food was OK .. Little on the high side price wise we all felt. I'm the ems without asking the two meals with the chicken & bacon was taken off without us even asking for it, so thats a plus

E
Eyitoyosi Onadipe

Great ambiance, polite staff but food was just okay. Ordered the southern fried chicken burger and it wasn’t amazing, chicken to me had no taste, but the chips were well salted and nice.

A
Angie Wright

Whilst food and service was very good. I had looked at the menu online previously the meal we chose was priced at £11.95 abd on arriving and looking at menu was £16.95, I don't know whether this was because it was Valentines weekend and that's why the prices were hiked up, our final bill was astronomical for two meals, two beers, and two glasses of wine, as this was for a special birthday I did not want to quibble and spoil the evening

Our small group eagerly looked forward to this dining experience at what was a very popular hotel. We were found a nice table on the main terrace. Starters were enjoyed by all. However, my main course was dry and lacking a sauce, a couple of my colleagues tried a little and agreed that was not right. Our waitress, a very pleasant young lady, who had been very attentive up to then, wasn't around and didn't check to see if our meals were OK. They were busy! I left my meal almost complete. When she did finally come to collect our plates, see saw my full plate and defensively started to tell me that I was wrong! A customer! Considering that we were going to be very appreciative of the service. That changed. I will probably return by with less enthusiasm

Lovely view on roof top Beer was was nice and cold. Service was good Brisket was a bit tough going with blurnt knifes not enough chips with it, it was OK slightly over priced for what you get

N
Nikki Childs

Busy bank holiday weekend so shouldn't have been surprised the service was very slow. Took over 3 and a half hours for a 3 course meal 😳. Only 2 items left on the dessert menu. The food was okay although overpriced for what we had. The restaurant area was closed so we ate in the bar. Again, very busy. More Yarmouth seafront than Gorleston!! Probably should have had chips and donuts instead!!

R
Ron Saunders

Food over priced and very very ordinary, paying these prices you expect good quality food but it falls well short of good.

R
Ray Simpson

Not a great experience. Won't be going back.

N
Nadine Bravery

Food was not great for the price and not enough variety. Can recommend the chicken wings starter as these were nice.

T
Tracy Davis

Nice environment, poor service. Waited 10 mins for coffee despite being very quiet and loads of staff.

A

Appalling, went for some food and a drink with my family. Never again, asked for a burger with no salad it came with salad. Made my sons brownie up and left it there for 20 minutes with melting ice cream. Why is the kitchen door open? We could see everything, even kitchen staff just messing on phones whilst customers are waiting on food. Woman at the bar seemed she wanted to be anywhere but there. Bad experience all around

K
Kim Roberts

Would have been fab if they had any food left we stayed there too in hotel no meats, no gammon, no desserts .ended up fish chips and burger booked table 7.30 food arrived 9.15 kids bored to death Same as breakfast, no food out was supposed to be a buffet breakfast but no eggs, no mushrooms or bacon or couisants. Come on guys, cater for your guests. we all knew it was a bank holiday

N
Neil Cole

What a disappointment overall. The Cliff was recommended to us but failed miserably. When we arrived we were sat on the roof garden, had to wait ages for a drink. We ordered our food after recommendations from the waiter and it was poor. Our friend had the ribs and they were so dry and he had a plate full and nothing else. The desserts were nice but that was it really. When we asked for the bill we explained that we had a discount card for 10% off but apparently that finished 14 months ago( maybe not their fault) but the waiter at the end who we paid with was quite rude. Some other members of staff walked around with face's as long as kites. We won't be returning or recommending and a waste of money.
