We went as a family of 5 tonight for my MIL's birthday. The food was delicious from grilled scallops to fried quail. Our server, Madison went above and beyond to decorate a dessert plate with Happy Birthday in sparkles.

They supplied the meal for a wedding dinner. I'm not sure if they even set it up. I think everything was picked up from the restaurant and set up in the churche's kitchen/ dining room. It was delicious and plentiful. I went with the groom 's son to take all the chafing dishes and stuff back to the restaurant. I love it. Out in the country, I'm assuming it's an old barn, revamped. Big porch, nice country atmosphere.

From the appetizers to the desserts everything we had was delicious. We had the appetizer sampler and crab puffs. The fried green beans and crab puffs were my personal favorite. For dinner we had the filet, ribeye, salmon and seafood trio. It was all fantastic.

We drove by this restaurant one Sunday afternoon and saw they had a slam full parking lot, so we knew it had to be good. Finally got a chance to check it out tonight and we were definitely not disappointed! Excellent service, atmosphere…and the food!! We will be back and bring friends for sure!😃

We have been eating at the Old Barn for about 9 years now and have never had a bad experience. The staff is always wonderful and very attentive. The owner is also very nice. They have the best steaks around the area, and fresh sides. Also, they will prepare you anything to your liking if you want to change up an item. If you live in south alabama or want to travel, definitely try this place you won’t be disappointed.

Delicious food, rustic restaurant, but service could be better. We arrived early on a Friday evening. No one greeted us, but after standing around a couple of minutes wondering what to do, a young lady came in and told us to sit wherever we wanted. There was only one other couple in the restaurant, so we assumed service would be pretty good, but, sadly, it was over 15 minutes before someone even took our order. It felt like we were being ignored. The gentleman that took our order was friendly, but he took another 15 minutes to bring our drinks (even though he did serve us the bread a few minutes after our order was placed). The wait for the food was honestly worth it. I had the hamburger steak, grilled potatoes and coleslaw. The hamburger steak was excellent. The coleslaw was crisp, fresh and very flavorful. The server forgot to bring my coleslaw, so I had to remind him. The place is rustic, but the quality of the furnishings could use an upgrade. The furnishings seem a bit worn out (the tables and chairs are cheap and some are in poor condition). The prices are a little higher here, but the quality of the food justifies the price. Unfortunately, the service really isn't good enough to warrant a return trip.

We had a pleasant dinner there. The waiter was fun and friendly. The food was mostly ok. We had some out of town guests who had evacuated for the hurricane in Florida, and the seafood was not what they were used to. The pork Chop and slaw was tasty. My son's burger was good. My husband's hamburger steak was ok. The atmosphere for a Friday night was calm.

I'm sorry to say that our visit to the Old Barn in Goshen Alabama was a disappointment. We had high hopes for this place, but we were let down by the poor service and the long wait. We arrived at the restaurant around 4 pm, and there was no one at the front desk to welcome us. We stood there for about three minutes, wondering if we should seat ourselves or wait for someone to show up. Finally, a waitress came and told us to sit wherever we want. We sat down and looked at the menu, but no one came to take our order or offer us drinks. We waited for 12 minutes, getting more and more frustrated. We could hear some staff arguing in the kitchen, and one of them shouted at another to go out and take our order. The waiter who came to our table seemed annoyed and rushed. He didn't apologize for the delay or smile at us. He just took our order and left. He forgot our drinks and we had to remind him when he came back with our food. He also forgot the coleslaw that came with my wife's meal and had to be reminded again. It took over 30 minutes from the time we walked in the door to the time we got our food. That's way too long for a simple meal like burgers and a hamburger steak. The food was decent, I have to admit. My bacon cheeseburger and fries were very tasty, and my wife said her hamburger steak was good too. But that didn't make up for the bad service and the long wait. We were not happy with our experience at the Old Barn. We felt ignored, unappreciated, and frustrated. We will not be going back there again, and we do not recommend it to anyone else.

We arrived around 6pm on a Friday only 3 tables had people but we waited to be seated for a few minutes. Once seated it seem to take awhile before we even got to order drinks but that's alright we were in no rush. We both ordered a ribeye steak plate but the steak was dry with no flavor. It was a big disappointment. We ended up boxing up the food for our dogs. Won't go back there or recommend it.

Waited a half an hour to even be seated then 20 more mins to take a drink order another 20 mins just to get drinks and order then when the food finally comes one steak is literally black with char and inedible the other is like chewing on a piece of shoe leather and completely inedible, we drove an hour and a half just to eat there and when we mentioned to the waiter that the food was not good the owner came out being loud and aggressive and just plain rude. Probably one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING TO THIS PLACE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE WE WILL NEVER GO AGAIN!!!
